Shuttle Direct / Viajes Alameda shuttleservice from Tenerif South airport to Santa Cruz

Beware of this company!

Wednesday, 8th February 2023.

We were 4 persons, arrived in Tenerif on a delayed flight from Frankfurt.

Followed all the instructions as stated to counter 17.

There were already lots of angry passengers queing at this counter (not necessarily with same problem)

When our turn came we were told to go to bus stop 61.

At bus stop 61 there were at least 80 passengers waiting for shuttlebus.

After waiting nearly 2 hours, we decided to take a taxi to the city.

We wrote a complaint to Shuttle Direct. They wrote back to say that they have forwarded our complaint to Viajes Alameda, their local suppliers.

Viajes Alameda wrote back to say that they they could not accept this complaint.

They said 11 customers were sent to bus stop 61. They argued that we did not go back to the counter to complain nor called them on the phone.

and that it was our own choice to take a taxi so no refund.

Sorry but this is no service, pushing the blame back to the customer.

Desired outcome: Refund of €78/-

Shuttle Direct / Viajes Alameda The bus did not come . Nobody answers on the emergency phone number.Aa

The bus did not come at Corona del Mar as you wrote to me email .I was 10 minutes earlier before the time of the pick up 7 am.I tried to call the emergency answer after 30 min many times There was no answer There was also no answer at 10 am.The first time the phone was answered was around 11 30 where your representative told me it was a mistake at your end where you sent me wrong pick up point.It was another hotel.He appoligized
As a result of this I was waiting in front of Corona del Mar until 8 am and missed my flight.I got help from the reception of the hotel to call you many times but they could not connect either
I have to stay 2 more days in Spain now and buy new ticket from Valencia instead of Alicante.
It is weird that your driver never called my number even to ask why I was not picked up . Very bad service .
I expect you to refund me following expences
2 extra days at a hotel 60e
Transport to Valencia from Benidorm 29e
New flight 55 e
Voucher price 15 e
Transport to Valencia airport from the hotel 7 e
I have used the cheapest options

Shuttle Direct / Viajes Alameda airport transfer barcelona

I booked this transfer for airport transfer from Barcelona airport to our hotel for our family of eight on Expedia. . I had to pay in advance for this booking. It states on the form that they wait an hour after your flight lands but I didn't think it would a problem. We were sitting in business and were some of the first off the plane. The customs lines were really long and it took over an hour to get through customs and get our luggage. When we finally get to the meeting place for our shuttle the girl rudely informs us that it had left and there wasn't any availability the rest of the day. I was totally shocked. I finally get her attention again and told her we had prepaid and wanted a refund. She again said you will have to take it up with the office and turned away again. Thankfully we were able to get cabs which ended up being cheaper. I contacted Expedia and they looked into a refund for me. After two months they told me refund was refused by Viajes Almedia and they couldn't do anything about it. I replied that they needed to drop this company on their website but they didn't care.

Same experience in May 2019 - Flight late, members of the travelling group without baggage found the driver, informed him that fellow travellers were still waiting for the luggage - the driver refused in a very rude way to wait any longer and disappeared.

No chance to phone the office - both numbers working with recorded message in Spanish - extremely helpful for international customers. A mail to Viajes Alameda/Shuttle Direct was answered with "Do you need help with your booking?" - very helpful again. After a second mail I was informed that there will be an answer within 28 days ...

No comment on the requested refund ...

Shuttle Direct / Viajes Alameda Would not recommend

Everything is bad about this company.
Girst of all, lack of adequate staff that would properly work. No way of contacting them. They describe themselves as a great service, but in the actual circumstances, they are not even good.
They never notify of delays, changes, corrections. They act like they don't care and I guess it's the truth about them. Hard to get a refund, believe me, I have been trying to get my money back for 7 weeks and as you can see, there's no success. I am very disappointed I ever dealt with this crappy company. I hope, they will be shut down soon.

Shuttle Direct / Viajes Alameda Bad attitude driver + Charged extra

Service : Transfer London Gatwick (LGW) - London W 1 Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Marble Arch,
Date : 9 August 2014, at 12:30, LGW airport
Complaint :
The transfer was a terrible experience, I am a mother of three kids with me aged 3, 5 and 7 as passengers. Emirates Flight arrived on time, however, baby stroller was not delivered with luggage, so had to file a report with the lugguage service, in that case of course delay expected. I called the driver on the number he sent me SMS from saying that he will not be at the meeting point with name sign (as in their agreement upon payment) but at another parking area of the airport ! anyway, informed him about the expected delay as they advised in their web site positively within the one hour waiting period they quote in their site. Once finished with the lugguage report came out to the arrival hall area, all drivers from other companies were there holding name signs of their awaited passengers except him (so obviously airport has the meeting point space allocated for the drivers), he prefered to be in the car sitting ! I called him again 5 minutes before the one-hour period finished saying that I am in the arrival hall, he asked me to search for the area he described in his SMS beside the sofitel entrance somewhere, then I had to walk my three children all the way with lugguuge trolley to where he parked the car, until now no bad attitude shown, then during the transfer he mentioned that I should pay GBP 15 extra because when I arrived to his car the one-hour period has already finished ! and he said I mentioned that to you in the first call if you delay more than one hour I will take 15 ponuds extra from you and you agreed, I said yes but I was in arrival hall within the hour period (so there was no delay from my side) but you are not in the waiting area of the drivers unlike other companies ?! he is not convinced and started to show very bad attitude. My hasband who is in UAE called shuttledirect numbers UK Tel: [protected] and International: (international code +[protected] both were giving "you are calling us outside the work hours" which is not true of course. Several calls gave the same message, so then he called the provider company in London 020 [protected], they replied but with also very bad mood even without listening to the full story they said yes any delay you have to pay, then he explained the whole story they said we will call the driver and they will see what they will do. They didn't communicate further to my husband and the driver didn't mentioned anything till we reached the address offloaded the lugguage, again he insisted he wants 15 pounds for the delay, I explained to him 15 pounds is small amount but I don't want to pay for delay because of him not doing his job properly and actually causing that delay, he is again not convinced. He saw a policeman in the neigbourhood securing the area beside a demonstration and he said I will bring that policeman (can you imagine that ?) I said OK, please. The policeman came and the situation explained, the policeman said to me you are not obliged to pay him now but he has the right to know the details of your address here and in UAE, and at that stage the driver was also mumbling that the prepaid money went to shuttledirect not to their company directly so at least he should get that 15 pounds for the delay ! at that stage I just didn't want to take it further and I paid him the 15 pounds, no receipt even. We don't want refund or anything my husband even had already had that credit card replaced because of another separate incident, so what I saying is that we wanted to warn other passengers from using shuttledirect.com in London airports or any other airport in UK if they keep dealing with that same bad attitude zero customer service provider. I hope shuttledirect don't put their name and reputation in the hands of such aweful providers and they should sort out the problem with their phones giving "out of work hours" announcement

Left stranded by them at 6 AM. Their "out of hours" phone line is plain out of order (no answer). Bus company: Autocares Bravo SA.

Booked via Shuttledirect.com, who also did nothing to answer my complaint. AVOID THESE COWBOYS !
