I was lured to their web site by a promise of 4 free tickets to “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. Even though their fees are higher than the theater, the 4 free tickets would more than make up the difference. I logged into my existing account (I had used them once earlier this year) and place the order for 7 tickets. They told me the code for the free tickets had expired. The email they sent me stated the offer was good to 12/8. I wasn’t happy but proceeded with the full price purchase anyhow. Within minutes of placing the order, I realized I ordered tickets for the right showing time but the wrong day (I wanted Sunday, the tickets were for Saturday). I tried to change this but there is no customer support phone number. They make you cancel the order and place a new order but keep the service fee, ($15.33). It’s not like days later I decided not to go to the movie. I made a mistake and wanted to correct the mistake within minutes of placing an order! Nope, you must be punished and pay the $15.33. So I followed their instructions. I proceeded with the cancellation and then tried to purchase the tickets for the correct date. I got all the way to the payment page and they stated that my payment was blocked by their “credit card processor” (!?!) and that I should try a different payment method. I tried another credit card... same error message. So I have no free tickets, I ordered 7 tickets but I end up with no tickets at all a bill for $15.33. There is no phone number. There is no customer service email link. They just screw you and get away with it. I've since bought the tickets directly from RegalMovies without any problems.
Atom Tickets tried to take you for a ride with the promotion, then turned around and charged a fee on a mistake that was rectified within a matter of minutes, while your payment got blocked in the end— How's the customer experience? To them, everyone's a fool. But that’s what they expect – people giving up. Go ahead and file a claim for $15.33 to your credit card company as you have already solved the actual ticket issue through Regal. Services like Atom are keen at making money through petty charges, don’t allow them to keep it.
