Avoid Dr. Kress
Dr. Kress messed up everything when she only needed to clean the gutters and replace the poly in my joint. She replaced the poly with a smaller one, which made my joint looser. The gutters are rubbing worse than before the surgery. She nicked a vein, causing a hematoma that required another surgery. She prescribed medication I can't take, and then, during the second surgery, she accidentally stuck herself with a needle.
I was forced to drive two hours to see my original surgeon. Because of her failures as a surgeon, I now have to have my ankle replaced again. Because of her, I can hardly walk; the pain is so great I can't sleep, and I will lose over half a year of mobility. To top it off, on my last visit to have stitches removed, she didn't even do me the courtesy of seeing me, not even a follow-up call.
The image was one month after her first messed up surgery when I has to go to the ER.
Mega incompetence and falsifying medical records!
This surgery was because my Ulnar nerve was severely damaged by the wrong BP cuff squeezing my arm with extreme pain during my week in ICU at Aurora (they nicked at artery during spine surgery). I told every dr and nurse that saw me every single time they came into the room. They didn’t listen. I have witnesses and documented. I had spinal surgery and was on a pain pump and my fingers and arm were more painful than my spine and still hurt even on heavy pain meds. Yet they still left the wrong cuff on for days. When I was transferred downstairs the nurse listened to me and even said she didn’t understand why they had the wrong cuff on me and put the correct one on.
I wouldn’t have needed my Ulnar nerve surgery if it was not for the extreme incompetence of the nurses and Drs on my surgery in March.
My hand has been near impossible to use and has been in extreme pain for over 3 months. So many wasted hours at physical therapy. Miserable abd moody around my family. Had to cancel our summer trip to Florida to visit my friends and family and aging mom. Ruined summer for my young kids and my newborn baby I can’t even pick up because of my arm for almost 4 months now. Can barely type. Out of work for months longer. I am pursuing a lawsuit against Aurora for the medical negligence. I’ve been an executive in healthcare for 20 years and a Wisconsin Client Right Specialist and my spine surgery was not how you treat people. I even had puss from infection and blood clots from catheter that was jammed in me wrong. Had to have urgent appt after discharge to get it out. I asked to have it taken out before being discharged and they wouldn’t. It still burns sometimes 3+. months later. I took 3 pages of contradictory info the nurses and Drs during my 7 day stay there.
I left with major issues I didn’t have going in. My arm has huge scar on it and will never be the same, I’ve reported this hundreds of times to Aurora and have been completely ignored.
Dr Kirkpatrick, his staff, and the nurses this time (other than one nurse trying to put wrong BP cuff on me and saying she couldn’t find the right size, but she at least asked another nurse who told her where to get the correct one when I refused this time. I refused in ICU too it hurt so bad but they refused to listen) were great during my Ulnar nerve surgery but I wouldn’t need this surgery if it wasn’t for the incompetence at Aurora to begin with.
Dr Leschke was also great who did my spine surgery. It was the care from the nurses after that was horrible. He left to go to OSMS cause I know he saw problems at Aurora as his NP asked me to track issues before my surgery because of my professional medical experience.
Had to type this with my non dominant hand so please forgive bad typing..

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Medical Malpractice
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding what I believe to be two incidents of medical malpractice that occurred at your facility. I ask that you please read and respond with an action plan.
This matter started in August 2021, at which time I had prostate cancer surgery that was performed by Dr Keto. You will find by reading my medical history that this surgery has since resulted in many ongoing medical issues. I won’t go into the long list of details – but ask that you read my medical reports and you will clearly see what a trainwreck my life has been since this surgery occurred back in 2021.
Fast forward to March 2025, at which time I was seen in the office by Dr Piotrowski and it was determined that a catheter needed to be inserted. About an hour after I left the office, I was in intense pain and had a lot of bleeding. I immediately went to the ER at Aurora in Manitowoc where they notified me that the catheter had been accidentally inserted by the doctor into my rectum. I was then transferred to Baycare in Green Bay for further care. I was told on several occasions (by your very own staff) during this hospital stay that I have a very strong case for medical malpractice and should definitely consider pursuing legal action. Each doctor and nurse showed great empathy toward my unfortunate situation that was caused by your facility.
I would like to say that Dr Piotrowski has been nothing but professional during this whole matter. He immediately admitted fault and showed empathy toward the situation (especially knowing what I have already been through over the past several years). In fact, my only hesitation in filing legal action is because of his compassion. He has a heart of gold and I appreciate that greatly.
Having said that, I also need to think about myself during all of this. I feel like I have been through hell with all of these issues that your facility has caused over the past four years. You have not only caused me great financial stress, but also mental stress. I have incurred a lot of unnecessary medical bills and have been forced to miss a lot of work – both causing a huge strain on me financially over the past four years. If that’s not enough, my emotional state has deteriorated greatly and my family has become very worried about me.
Also as a result of this negligence I experienced while under your care, I will be suffering ongoing and future medical complications, including possible bladder removal and reconstructive surgery. I have a very strong possibility of living with either a urostomy pouch or a colostomy bag. These treatments will incur more medical costs, time off work, and cause more emotional and physical distress.
I have obtained both independent medical evaluations and legal counsel, and I have been advised that the circumstances surrounding my case warrant a malpractice claim. Again, I am hesitant to file a suit because of my loyalty to Dr Piotrowski– but also feel it’s time I need to take action. I am prepared to follow through with hiring one of these attorneys but am hopeful we can come to some sort of agreement before pursuing action.
I am requesting a thorough internal review of this matter and a written response within 14 days explaining what steps the hospital intends to take to address the issue. I am hopeful you will do the right thing and offer me some compensation to offset the lost wages, medical bills and emotional distress that this has all caused me.
Sincerely,
Kevin Siebold

Patient Abandonment
My name is Quishana Woodley-Walker a patient of Dr.O Braimah when I reached out to schedule an appointment with her a nurse named Molly from her office left a voice message stating that I could see a covering physician or establish care with someone else leaving out the fact my doctor was no longer there I got that news from my wife when she happen to call...

Tell me what kind of a health care organization are you running? Evidently managing your health care system does not incorporate the Hippocratic Oath in your day to day patient services and your patient's ability to make timely appointments to treat serious health problems. I for one, have been diagnosed with Bigeminy and Bradycardia and was referred by Doctor Osborn (Aurora) to see the Electrophysiology Department here in Oshkosh and it took this department 2 1/2 weeks to call to arrange an appointment. And when they finally followed up on Dr. Osborn's referral I was told they were booked all the way to September. What? If the electrophysiological department in Oshkosh doesn't have the resources and personnel to handle it's caseload of patients why doesn't Aurora hire more health care providers? Just to give you an idea on my current health condition I will tell you that I can't even, per doctor's orders, get a blood pressure reading because my blood pressure equipment won't give me a blood pressure reading because of my irregular heart beat. It just displays "error"! I'm sure the reader has had instances where their heart skips a beat, now imagine this happening about every 6 or 7 beats, especially when I'm laying down. My feet and legs are swelling to the point that I can't even wear tennis shoes and I have to wear Croc's. Combine this with extreme fatigue and the stress that I can't get the prompt care I need through the Aurora Health System and you might be able to understand why I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in the care I am receiving from Aurora! Not to mention the extremely frustrating hoops you have to jump through to get a hold of a live person and the time spent on hold when calling Aurora for doctors appointments. The system of recordings and the runaround a patient gets on the phone is more than frustrating it's unacceptable. I've been a patient at Aurora for 10 or more years and am seriously considering changing to Theda Care for my health needs if I can't receive prompt and professional care I am entitled to at Aurora. You should take this complaint seriously because it's quite clear and most likely I'm not the only patient receiving inadequate care through your system.
Desired outcome: I would like an appointment with electrophysiology (Oshkosh) within a week or two. Charles Hodge, [protected], [protected]@gmail.com, 200 Josslyn St. Oshkosh Wisconsin [protected]

Aurora pharmacy West Bend WI
Wednesday, May 1, 2024 my husband went to the Aurora pharmacy at 3:49 pm, he requested they use the good RX card instead of our insurance on file... The pharmacist took the card and instead ran it through the insurance anyway. Read full review of Aurora Health CareAurora Grafton hospital billing department
My mom was in Aurora Grafton Hospital from October 23rd, 2023, to November 3rd, 2023. She was moved to Hospice on November 3rd, 2023 - November 8th, 2023, in Aurora Grafton Hospital. On December 13th I receive a letter in the mail from DCM (Collection Agency) for two amounts $470.00 and $227.50. Aurora also sent a bill to the house for $227.50 that I paid, and Aurora cashed the check on December 11th, 2023. I told DCM that I paid this bill and DCM had to contact Aurora to get the $227.50 claim removed from DCM. I called Aurora Grafton Hospital on December 14th, 2023, and asked to speak to the billing department. There I find out that Aurora has FAILED to submit either of these two claims to Medicare. They tell me it will be taken care of. I get another letter from DCM in the mail about the $470.00 bill this time telling me that the claim was for a head CT on October 23rd, 2023. I called Medicare to see if they received these claims and they confirmed they did NOT. Then I called Aurora Grafton Hospital and asked to speak to their billing department on December 27, 2023. AGAIN, I'm told the NEITHER claim was submitted to Medicare. Now DCM files a claim against my mother's estate and I'm contacted by my attorney. I called Medicare AGAIN and they confirm NEITHER claim was submitted. I call Medicare on January 11th, 2024, and they confirm they received the claim for the head CT for $470. They tell me they will send me the EOB in the mail. I call Aurora Grafton Billing Department AGAIN on January 15th, 2024, and AGAIN the claim for $227.50 WAS NOT SUBMITTED. Now my lawyer says he's sending Aurora a letter demanding they submit all claims to Medicare. I call Medicare on January 23rd, 2024, and they confirm the claim for $227.50 has STILL NOT BEEN SUBMITTTED, and they confirmed that the claim for the Head CT for $470.00 was approved and paid and sent on to her supplementary insurance to pick up the remainder. I call Aurora Grafton Hospital AGAIN on January 23rd, 2024, and go through the entire detail AGAIN. I also let them know that my lawyer has sent Aurora a letter telling them ALL claims MUST be submitted to Medicare and ANY over payment MUST be returned. I get placed on hold and now I get transferred to someone else (yeah because they know a lawyer is involved). She confirms that the claim for 227.50 has NOT been submitted but it has been in the queue since January 3rd, 2024, and it can take 30 to 45 days to be submitted. Funny how when they didn't have a payment the $470.00 claim could be submitted much quicker. Then I ask her WHY this is taking so long. Get this the billing department DIDN'T LOOK AT THE DATE OF SERVICE. Medicare won't pay for these when the patient is in Hospice. The claim for the Head CT for $470.00 happened ON THE DAY SHE WAS ADMITTTED. The claim that I paid for $227.50 happened on December 30th, 2023. Before she was moved to Hospice on November 3rd, 2023. I also told them they need to contact DCM because they have a claim on my mother's estate, and she says oh someone will. Yeah right, I've asked the billing department to contact DCM on December 14th, 2023, on December 27th, 2023, on January 15th, 2024, and DCM has still not been contacted. All they tell me is all we can do is put a note that you want DCM contacted. I've notified my lawyer that the Head CT claim for $470.00 has been approved and paid and sent on to her secondary insurance to pick up the remainder. My lawyer said he will keep an eye out for this and will see if DCM will contact him. He did tell me that he will need to file an objection to this claim on March 8th, 2024. If he does, he has to go to court. If that happens, Aurora should have to pay for my lawyer's time and the court fees since they have already received payment and refused (obviously since they refused to do it after I requested on December 14, 2023, December 27, 2023, and January 15, 2024). I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR AURORA'S BILLING DEPARTMENT'S INCOMPITANCE. My Mom has been gone for over 2 months (almost 3 on February 8th) and I'm STILL fighting the billing department to do their job.
Desired outcome: I want the claim for the psychiatrist with a date of service October 30th, 2023, to be submitted to Medicare. If Medicare pays and submits the claim to the supplementary insurance to pay. I want Aurora to return my $227.50.

I want to make a correction...The claim that I paid for $227.50 happened on October 30th, 2023. Before she was moved to Hospice on November 3rd, 2023.
I also want Aurora to contact DCM about the $470 claim for the head CT that Medicare has confirmed has been approved and paid to remove the claim against my mom's estate.
Billing
I was treated in the urgent care. I received statements and immediately made payments on time. As I was making payments I was sent to collections very quickly. I understand payment is due and I was making all attempts to pay off my balance and I strongly feel I was sent to collections in error and prematurely. Go after those that are NOT making any effort to pay their bill not those making an effort. I WILL NEVER use your company again and I will NEVER refer friends or family to you again.

Urgent care
I went to Urgent care on December 29th. I received an x-ray that showed I had a broken foot. The following day I returned to Urgent care to have the doctor sign a form so I could get a temporary disability card. I was told that Urgent care didn't do that and I would have to see my primary. My primary doctor retired last year (Dr Jill Schmitt) and I didn't have an appointment for another doctor until April. I was told to call a phone number that could help patients and they would get me right in to a doctor that could sign my form (why I need to see a second doctor when a doctor had already looked at my x-rays and determined my foot was broken). When I called the number the lady told me she had no idea why Urgent care would tell me that because she couldn't get me in for 4 months. I find it very unresponsive to my needs that the Doctor that saw me can't sign a simple form and forces me to try to see another doctor when your system doesn't have time for me to see another doctor for 4 months. I'm 67 years old and just this little help from your doctors would be very helpful for me especially with the snow and ice now.
Desired outcome: I just want my temporary disability form sign in a reasonable fimeframe

Emergency long term visit
I work at a shelter in Ozaukee County. We have a guest who has pretty consistent medical emergency's due to his diagnoses. As I have been speaking to the gentleman and his wife, they have informed me they have been subject to discrimination in their most recent visit which I think is absolutely unacceptable in the medical field. Security was brought to their room just to "inform" them that their children would not be allowed to come visit "per their policy", and because there are sharp things around. This is clearly a cop out as all "sharp" things are locked away, like any other medical care facility. The head lady of security then informed them she would be back with the actual policy, to which she later informed them that she "couldn't find it".
Overall, this is just such an unsettling experience and is pretty textbook profiling. I have also heard a PLETHORA of others complain about how they have been treated at this specific Aurora Facility. This needs to be addressed by somebody.
Claimed loss: -
Desired outcome: I believe that this entire facility needs some sort of overhaul of the HR department as I have heard PLENTY of other complaints from the community. "Sorry" is not a sufficient response to racial profiling.

Electrophysiology
Noted, if he has an active infection this could increase risk of recurrent AF. Not likely due to antibiotic and would encourage him to take these to clear up active infection. Continue lopressor for rate control and Eliquis for stroke prevention.
Please educate him about the pathophysiology of AF including that it is a chronic condition without a cure. Overall goal for management of atrial fibrillation is to reduce overall burden or amount of atrial fibrillation that occurs as well as improve overall symptoms/quality of life. If his infection clears up and if his episodes of AF should increase in frequency/duration and/or worsening symptoms, rhythm control options can be considered
I am educated and work with the AFIB very well. The medications I have and the episodes that occur are well controlled. I would advise you to become educated on the stress you have put on me. This is a huge part of the AFIB. You need to be schooled on the patient and the comorbid conditions involved. Please stop the pressure and allow me to be okay. I know when my heart is beating to fast and a 10 minute office visit can show that or not, but your cavalier attitude makes it much worse and yes, I will probably be beating pretty fast when I come in because of the attitude of electrophysiology at your facility. I have it and work worth it on my terms not yours. I will not allow myself to be disrespected in this manner. A simple explanation will not make it right and a lawsuit is possibly forthcoming.
Claimed loss: Stress and exaserbation of my heart condition. Mental and physical stress that surpassed what should have occured.
Desired outcome: Monetary compensation and more importantly, educate the staff on how to properly work with patients.
Aurora electrophysiology in Oshkosh routinely violates the Hippocratic oath!
At least you were fortunate to get in to see electrophysiology I'm suffering from Bigeminy and bradycardia extreme fatigue, and painful swelling in my feet and legs; along with all the stress having to deal with all these new and debilitating symptoms and they tell me they are booked all the way into September. I guess the idea of "Do no Harm" doesn't apply to Aurora Electrophysiology in Oshkosh! After ten years of care and me constantly being given the runaround on their phone system (not being able to get a hold of a live person), I am seriously considering changing my health care provider to Theda Care. Maybe you should consider changing health care providers too.
Doctor's visit
November 1st, 1:30 I had an appointment with Dr. Janeeka Benoit of Internal Medicine. Immediately had a closed off demeanor when she entered the room. All of what happened between me and Dr. Benoit was witnessed by my partner, who was also in the room with us, sitting in. Despite me explaining what I was concerned about when making the appointment (there was a note being written for the doctor to review when I made the call), when she came in she was very confused and kept asking what I came in for. When I tried to explain, she made it feel like I didn't have enough time to sit and explain my symptoms, and I had to keep pushing that my symptoms were different than what she was assuming, because she wasn't letting me fully explain what even happened. On top of that, I had talked about being sick over an entire year, and how it had progressed in summer, and was now bad enough to make me miss class this school year. Her response was that I am fine and that it is probably just covid, since it is viral season. I had to keep saying that what was wrong with me started before that. In one instance I said that a specific symptom had started early summer end of high school, and she waited until I finished saying that and then responded with an explanation that was far off of what I was feeling and what other doctor's have said to me. I proceeded to question her and she turned around saying that I had told her that my symptoms had started during this year's flu season. Completely different time period, and even after I corrected her very clearly after this, she continued to talk about flu season. Only after I corrected her would she type something, but she kept talking about anything but what I wanted to address, and kept telling me I was fine. I was concerned about having vitiligo because I match all of the symptoms and it is presenting itself the same way it presented in my dad (who has gotten a diagnosis on it) have white hairs all over my head and when I asked her why that was happening she couldn't explain and changed the subject back to covid. She only seemed to care about if I was dizzy, but my biggest concern was the fact that I keep getting sick, my allergies now occur every day, I have had moments where my vision goes black and sometimes I fall into doors (never passed out though, which seems to be all she cared about). Also I caught covid once in the beginning of October. I went into Urgent Care on October 31st, after this, and was administered multiple tests. While I was taking this test, the nurse told me that my covid test could come back positive since I have had covid and it can show positive for up to three months after, and she told me not to be surprised. The biggest result of that visit was that a had a high white blood cell count and something else that Dr. Hancock (Incredible doctor, really knew what he was doing, very thorough) said indicated an infection. I was specifically given a strep throat test and it came back negative. I mention this because the next day at my appointment with Dr. Benoit, despite having my file information pulled up right in front of her, she told me that I currently have covid and strep throat. When I corrected her and told her what the nurse told me yesterday, as well as my test results, she looked me dead in the eye and said, "Well you're on amoxicillin, and we use that to treat strep". I told her multiple times that I tested negative for strep just the day before. It was like whatever I said to her she would not listen to and would respond with whatever she could to get me out of there. She seemed to be in a rush and hurrying to leave. At the end I was almost in tears because I know what is happening to my body is not normal and everything I told her, instead of expressing genuine concern, she kept telling me I was fine and talking about flu season. At the end I had to press and ask, "Is there anything I can do to test for vitiligo, or to find out what is going on in my body?" And she shrugs and goes, I can order a blood lab and metabolic panel. Which I obviously agreed to, because I was hoping for something productive to come out of this doctor's visit. I only lived four days on campus and none of my roommates have gotten sick, I also do not spend a lot of time with people as I attend a small institute, and my campus is actually an apartment building with Covid-19 safety rules. She also had me lay on the table, and when she was doing a physical examination, she prodded me a couple times and then immediately sent me back to my chair. I had been examined by Dr. Hancock the day before, and I had been examined for at least a few minutes. She simple gave my stomach a couple of half-hearted presses and then sent me back to my chair. I also have developed eczema since my symptoms have gotten worse. I also talked about how sensitive I am to the sun, and without sunblock, it hurts to be under the sun's rays and I burn within an hour, and last time I got tan, there were parts of my skin that remained pale. I have poor vision, and my hearing seems to have gotten worse, none of this was heard out by her. My father has vitiligo and his disease presented as white hairs starting when he was a teen, and he didn't start showing skin patches until over forty. I told her this, nothing was heard out. After the doctor left us behind in the room, my partner insisted I ask to be seen by someone else, but I was so afraid of having this same experience, I went to the lab and then went home distraught. Now I am making this complaint because I am tired of having to come to the doctor constantly because I am constantly getting sick. It is not like I am getting sick with other people. I am catching things while other people I am living and staying around remain completely fine. I told Dr. Benoit this as well. On top of that, I told her that in the past few months, I have fallen ill to two colds that were so bad I missed school, and then covid, and then this infection, plus allergies everyday? Even with flu season I have never gotten sick this frequently and severely before. She couldn't even keep track of what sicknesses I had come down with, and was unable to properly refer to my lab results. I had a witness who can also corroborate with what happened at this appointment.
Claimed loss: I have missed so much school, and they are waiting to hear back from me why I am sick so much. The failure to apply effort at my appointment could get me a penalty for my attendance record.
Desired outcome: To see a doctor invested in discovering what is up with my body, covered by my insurance. I would also like to never be seen by this doctor again, and offered compensation for the mental anxiety inflicted upon me by this appointment.
Dr Khalyne Johnson & staff
I had to find a new doctor as Brian Schmidt had retired. Using LiveWell I found Khalyne Johnson. It took several months for the first available appointment. I thought the visit went well, but I am not receiving the level of care I am used to. Communication is poor. I suffer from chronic pain issues and have had medication for years to help with that. Without informing me the therapies have been cut off & nothing offered to replace them. My quality of life is suffering. Had her position been made clearly known we could have parted ways. I feel misled, and now I don't know what to do. Any level of trust is gone. Having to endure the chronic pain while I try to find a different GP and get scheduled is a punishment I do not deserve.
Desired outcome: I want a response to my complaint and action so that this does not repeat itself for other patients.
Very Loud Music
The music at reception is awfully very Loud that it’s not soothing. We come to urgent care due to acute or severe pain, headaches, illness, injury, etc. So, hearing such loud piercing music in addition to other noise from the surroundings is aggravating! When I asked the receptionist if she can lower the music, she explained that so many complaints were...

My 47 year old family member went to Urgent Care in Menomonee Falls and saw Stacie Binter, NP. He presented with headaches, fatigue, decreased appetite - with a 75 POUND weight loss in 18 months, stomach pain and cramping and shortness of breath. He was tachycardic while there (fast heart rate) She solely focused on shortness of breath. She did not examine his abdomen for pain. She did not question his weight loss at all. Did not even bring it up. She listened to his lungs and documented "clear". She did a Covid/Flu test (was negative) she did NOT do any imaging, lab work, EKG or any POCT testing such as urine or glucose. ZERO testing except a Covid test. Since that was negative, she diagnosed him with "bronchitis". He had no cough, no wheezing, no history of asthma- and this is what she came up with. She sent him home with an inhaler and high dose of steroids for a week. He died at home 4 days later. An autopsy was done and found he died from diabetic ketoacidosis. The steroids she provided a diabetic played a role in his death. She left my daughter without a father because of her own incompetence. Complaints were filed with the state, and with Aurora and their response was " based on his shortness of breath a covid test was ordered and this was appropriate care. We have found no wrong doing". Interestingly, with some connections I have through Aurora, they compose "hot huddle sheets" to all staff with different situations within their institution that have gone wrong or been below the standard of care, with information at the end of them on what they can do next time in that situation to improve the outcome. One week his situation was brough to attention on this form. So Aurora claims no wrong doing in his death, but thought his was enough of "poor patient situation" to bring up on their hot huddle sheets? How does that make sense? In what other profession are you not responsible for mistakes you make, especially deadly mistakes? This situation and how they handled it is extremely unacceptable and disgusting. Its unethical that they have taken no accountability and that they think how he was treated was at an appropriate standard of care. In all my research since this happened, I have found so many more similar cases of substandard treatment. Aurora views patients as a business transaction.
Desired outcome: Educate your Urgent Providers better. Stop cutting corners with placing nurse practitioners in places they don't belong. Spend more time then 10 minutes with patients and don't make them feel rushed.
Patient rights and responsibilities
I went to the emergency room and refused treatment and asked for to speak to a supervisor to make a formal complaint and the security guard tells me no I can't speak to a supervisor his name is Jacob M while the other security violated my HIPPA rights and told the receiptionlist I will get his records out the hospital computer. The time of incident was around 6:30am. Saturday, August 19th
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is for this hospital to have supervisor's on all [censored] and for protocol to be followed. My desired outcome for everyone on [censored] to get fired or suspended with no pay.
Emergency services
appropriate care and transfer to a qualified medical facility was not offered or provided. Should have been air lifted or ground transported to the nearest burn center. I wrote a letter to Patient Billing Department to dispute my bill from my visit with a Neurosurgeon that took place on 05/15/2023 at Aurora Wilkinson Medical Clinic Summit. I was referred by my primary physician for lumbar and spine issues and other issues that involved: arm/leg neck, numbness and tingling, weakness, vision -blurry-spots, talking, memory, inner thigh aches , fatigue, sob, mucus, burning-aching sensation, palpitation (like heart beating) on arms, legs, chest) squeezing around my left side abdominal.
Prior to my visit with the Neurosurgeon I faxed all my documentation from Froedtert Hospital on all my visits and from another Neurosurgeon who did spine surgery in the year 2010 for the same reasons that I listed above.
The notes that the Neurosurgeon from my visit on 05/2023 copied and paste most of all the information that the doctor I did who did my surgery in 2010. So basically she didn't document that she only sat with me for 10 minutes and looked at my Xray that was done almost 2 years ago that there was nothing wrong with me. In those 10 minutes, she never suggested that I have another X-ray done on my left and right lumbar or my neck. How would she know that I might have experience some scar tissue during the time from my last Xray till the day of my visit with her and maybe spreading on both the left and right side?
Also, I don’t see anything being documented on my medical record that she didn’t understand why I was seeing a Rheumatologist and why I’m seeing a Holistic doctor and not a doctor from Aurora. Per my documentation, you will see that I was diagnosed with Sjogren's, arthritis, and fibromyalgia which might be the reason for some of my pain, but not the pain I am experiencing in my spine or my lumbar.
In addition, she mentioned that I reported my cervical spine had been imaged and evaluated by a rheumatologist how come she never requested a copy of this image? She also included that I mentioned that my symptoms (on my medical records from the doctor who did my surgery in 2010 where the same symptoms as prior to my surgery in 2010). If so, why didn't she recommend anything that would help me get better.
I always expect for doctors, nurses and other professionals who work in health care would enjoy helping others. That is expected! Consequently, they generally place a high priority on assisting patients to have positive experiences. However, my experience was a negative experience despite Neurosurgeon lowest effort. Often the problem should be a minor one and not worth the sustained attention to require a complain, but in this situation this is all I could do.
As I mentioned she did not make any suggestions on what I should do to get better, she immediately was ready to walk out the door, and as she was I stopped her and asked her if she had any suggestions on what I should and should not do to get better. I asked if I should continue to see my chiropractor, acupuncture, and massages. She said, “Yes just do those,” and walked out the door immediately.
When I scheduled this visit, it was to see Neurosurgeon and not her APNP . The information below copied and paste directly from the Healthcare website you will see exactly what referenced to the cost of care for seeing the Neurosurgeon. In addition, the last note on my medical record she documented that she personally performed the services described in the documentation in conjunction with APP, in her presence. Not TRUE! So now I owe $700.00 for a visit that didn't do me justice.
Desired outcome: I received a letter from the Patient billing that they did research and that the bill of $700.00 will not be adjusted. I never received a call nor an email to resolve this issue.
Health care at Aurora Health Care Good Hope Rd Milwaukee WI
New to WI and should've walked out. I had the unfortunate experience of landing in Urgent Care on Good Hope Rd. I have had an earache for 3 days. I made appt for 1pm. When I arrived for 1pm, I'm told by the "mute" receptionist, with her badge turned around, that I had a 1pm "reservation". Interesting distinction. I asked 2x where I was on the reservation...

Good Afternoon: Complaints Board Back on June 6th, 2023 our daughter (Skylar G. Baral - Established Patient of Dr. Tetting) had to obtain a doctor's excuse regarding her ability to return to school, due to suspected pink eye. As such, my husband reviewed everything online within Aurora Health Care's "Live Well" website about Video Visits and the cost...
Read full review of Aurora Health Carethe outcome of a billing dispute for a doctor visit on May 9th 2023 (acct. # [protected])
I was asked to come in for a visit to my doctor on May 9th 2023 because of some lab values the doctor did not like. While I was there, a nurse asked me if I would do a wellness visit. My answer to the nurse was this : I will do the wellness visit if there is no additional charge. I then went on to explain to the nurse that I am charged for all extras due to the type of medicare plan I have. the nurse told be there would be no addtional charge.
Patient Billing Contact Center lead : Brianna stated to me during our final communication : the nurse was not responsible for any billing or insurance type information. My response to that is : if that is the case, the nurse should have simply stated, "I don't know if there will be an addtional charge". If she said that, I would not have had the wellness visit. The nurse made an error (and honest error but still an error) in telling me that there would be no addtional charge. So now Brianna in billing is telling me that even though the nurse is giving out incorrect information that she would know nothing about, Aurora is not responsible for that error in any way ! That is so very very wrong !
Desired outcome: I should be responsible for the "Office or other outpt visit portion of the bill, however Aurora should be responsible for the "Annual Wellness Visit Subsequent Visit" portion of the visit.Respectfully, Arden Borchardt
This same thing happened to me at Aurora!
I had concerns about the cost of a colonoscopy because Aurora said they cannot bill it as preventative as I had a polyp found on my previous colonoscopy.
My doctor and the entire staff said "Not to worry!, we do Colonoscopys all the time and they are very affordable. We will provide you with a phone number before your procedure to ensure you know the cost"
I called the number and nobody could give me a cost. They said the same thing as "It won't be that bad as your insurance is accepting this procedure"
At first I was billed over $5k in bills. 3 months later, it went down to $2500 and they said there was an " insurance correction". I have been fighting this since because I don't believe anything they tell me and want to talk to a manager. I also cannot afford it!
They have since sent my bills to collections stating the clock for collections started the exact second they sent me the first bill for $5k! Now my credit is ruined!
Thanks Aurora!
