They will harass you multiple times a day for several weeks
They will harass you multiple times a day for several weeks. Do not give them any information. They won't remove you from their call list no matter how many times you ask or what you say. This cannot be a valid business with how the operate. Beware!

Scam, somehow got my number and tried the same **** as listed in other reviews
Scam, somehow got my number and tried the same *** as listed in other reviews. Except I am not even an author, so their "offer" to help my book is clearly a ***. They are clearly just like other *** and get lists of phone numbers from various social media sites and other sites that you input your phone number into.

I have had two people call me since I signed with Authors Press. The male callers wanted to represent my book at the Book Fair in Los Angeles. One said, "It is a children's book, isn't it?" That was an insult which let me know immediately that the 'marketer' hadn't even read the front or back cover, not even from a computer picture. How could he have known that he wanted to represent my book? While the pic on the front cover is of a child, the book is in the adult genre. Both those callers asked me if I had checked with the ComplaintsBoard.com to see whether Authors Press was a legitimate company. When I answered, "No, but they could feel free to do so," both cautioned me about a possible scam. I didn't recognize the names of their companies either. Yesterday I received an email which notified me of the change in date from April to October for the Fair. The date change is due to the corona virus. Frankly, if I thought for one minute that Authors Press was guilty of even half the allegations in the ComplaintsBoard.com's list of reviews, I would not want them to represent my book. I would not want my name to be associated with theirs. I guess all we can do now is wait and see. I will be happy to pass the word on to the ComplaintsBoard.com, either way. Hopefully my review can have a positive affect and make a good company - great. Otherwise, it could have a negative affect, making a poor company even worse; pointing out its weaknesses, lack of professionalism, and poor employee values. The contract has been signed and the money is spent so let's see if Authors Press is real or a scam. Is it a one-star or a five-star company? For now, we will go with three stars. We need to know who we can trust.
I was amazed by this Company. I am looking for a publishing company that could help make my book to get live. I bump into their website and decided to give a shot. Emailed them and shoot a lot of questions. After five days of communicating, emails back and forth, I decided to have my book published by them. It is now the 5th day since we started the publications, Yes!, 5th day, that fast, and I am very happy with the result because now we are in the final stage of publication. We are finalizing everything and with my final say and approval, my book will be in the market. Price is affordable and reasonable, I am very excited and happy that finally, I was able to meet this team and who are very active, fast, and reliable. Not to mention, I went to their production area, and personally see their production floor, from printing to distribution to local bookstores. Praying that Authors Press will stay long, serve more, and will be able to help other self-published authors. Very thankful to this team.
I'm a newly self-published author and one of their agents contacted me about presenting one of my books at a book fair for $2,000, an offer I declined due to the high cost. Some time later, the same agent reached out to me regarding a booklife award from Publishers Weekly, which had an entry fee of $500. After securing the necessary funds, I entered my book, expecting to receive the promised critical feedback for all participants, but I received none.
While awaiting news on the award, the agent approached me with a $3,000 proposal for an interview opportunity, which I also refused. She reassured me that I would hear from Publishers Weekly within two weeks regarding my book, but no such communication came. Three weeks later, I initiated contact to get an update, and it took her over a week to respond. However, instead of an update, she pitched another book fair in California, this time for $1,500, which I again declined.
More than a month has passed since her last call, and I have not received any correspondence from Publishers Weekly. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the contest had concluded in May, and new submissions were not being accepted until the following year. It became clear that I had been scammed out of $500, as they failed to deliver any results or feedback.
Crooks and liars
Crooks and liars. They call you telling you they believe in your book that they can get lots of sales and that they're going to stand behind you. They say they're going to give you reports and copies of what they do, they do not. They just keep calling trying to get you to pay more until you finally give up. It's a scam, these are terrible people who take advantage of creative people and their work.

I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. I signed on with them when they were called greenberry publishing. I decided not to use them any more and while I finally got my softcover books removed they are still using my ebook on amazon. It's been two years and they do not have permission to use my work anymore and yet they still are. DON'T put your work in their hands as they do not help you remove it if you decide not to use their service anymore. Run from them.

Its a scam
Its a scam. Avoid at all costs. I dont know how they find unpublished phone numbers but they do. And in my case, they found my husbands. They state that they sent my book to huge news sources and they want to cover a story on my book. But they need 5k from me first. Why? If this news source actually wants to do a story on my novel, why do you need my money? I also find your responses to the other reviews very unprofessional. Dont give this company your money.
