I ordered a rhino rack pioneer tray and leg kit from MacMahons Rd, Frankston VIC store, I was contacted 2 weeks later and advised all was ready for collection, but when I arrived I was only able to collect the small item (leg kit) I would have to come back in 2 hrs for the large tray, the stock was obscured by a 4x4 being fitted with a bullbar out back of store. As my need for this item was time sensitive and I had already waited 2 weeks, and I was already told earlier it was ready for collection, and considering I had borrowed a specific vehicle to collect such a large item, when I requested a refund I was verbally abused by the TM Cody, continued to be harrassed by him as the young girl completed the refund at the front desk. Not impressed. His final words were dont come back here if you dont like it

Boss kit
I asked the gentleman for a horn ring and he assured me that it came in the boss kit I went there today and opened the box at auto barn in Clayton Victoria and there was no horn ring I told him where is it he had a look on his computer and told me that came seperate I told him that I don’t need the boss kit instead I need the horn ring he told me that I would get charged for freight $10 and another $10 for the boss kit which is ridiculously I was mis informed and the gentleman in your shop needs to be educated Angelo contact me on [protected] I have also ordered the horn ring finally another week of wasting my time

Sony apple car play head unit with speakers and areal fully installed.
I have purchased a VX Commodore for my daughter that is her 1st car for her birthday in May this year, the car was only 1 owner in immaculate condition for its age. I purchased a head unit and speaker package and everything needed at Autobarn Kelso NSW 2795 on the 27/08/2022 order no [protected] and the sales guy was awesome... However, the ariel was refunded as it was the wrong type, only the items were all paid for in full including all labor for installation at a total cost of $1,700.00
The lead for the apple / android connection I was told would be installed in the glovebox as a safety feature so her phone would be out of site and was not. The housing was not put back in properly and the plastic sits out as you can see in the photos.
The speaker housing was broken on installing the driver's side rear speaker.
The passenger side rear door locking latch has come away from the locking rod, I was told was already broken and been glued before but came unstuck.
The back seat has been bent when the wiring has been done and not fixed.
I'm quite sure that the arial is not connected as I have very ordinary radio reception.
I'm told that the arial can be ordered with a longer retractable lead and installed at additional cost as they have to pull the head unit out again that I have already paid for.
This was an early Xmas present for my daughter and the installation work that has been done is extremely ordinary!
Desired outcome: I would like this matter resolved and I look forward to your response or I will have to take the matter further.

Apple car play installation
Paid for a new Apple play for my car and installation. Lawnton store (who are amazing) Transferred the installation to Brendale. Got a call from Brendale store that the speaker’s in my car weren’t working properly. I agreed to new speakers (which I still suspect I didn’t need) and they charged me another installation fee of $92.
Very unhappy with the service. Speakers working perfectly before the installation. Think it is unfair that I had to pay another $92 installation when the original speaker were working ok with the old system

Got advice from one of the staff for my car headlights and was told they can change it too. Thought oh great, I can get my headlights changed too. So I paid for the parts and labor for changing the lights too.
But I can see when I was driving at night as the lights were not done properly. Called them and they tell me or the do not service it. I told them why you provide the service for changing my headlights and I can’t used it. That’s faults advice selling your products and charges for labor and I still can’t use it and endangers my life not been able to see my way home. Very disappointed.
Desired outcome: Get my total refunds and please do not provide services you can’t do properly to endanger peoples life.

We pay $250 for Reverse Camera
and Installation charge. $125 is outstanding (didn't pay yet)
After installation of the reverse camera, Today 14th December around 3pm. Autobarn staff asked us to pay installation charges.
So we said we check and pay. When we were checking the camera, we just noticed that screen shows us the left hand vehicles in right hand side and Right hand vehicles from Left side. We immediately inform the staff. And Michel who is the Manager of Autobarn Dandenong South, Said this is how it works. We explain him this is making a hazard. The purpose of having reverse Camera is to get blind spots and see what is in right and what it is in Left.
But Manager (Michel) didn't accept their fault and said this is a product error. Then they talk to their installer and took our vehicle inside to fix it again, This manger threat us telling go away from service center closing the roller shutter. (Because he is not about understand the error is in their hand)
Second time they have installed the camera that screen shows correct view but they have installed the camera where we can't see the blinds pot or can't even see correct Angle. So again we inform about this. On this time we were informing about this issue to Autobarn Head office.
And the installer and Manger is asking us where to install the camera. So we informed them we are paying for your professional fee because we don't know about this. So install it professionally.
We all the way frustrated about the service and afraid to trust them about the job.
The third time they took the vehicle inside
and uninstall the cameras for second time and install it third time.
This is vehicle is the our most loving one and they treated it like a garbage. I was really feel bad because of this.
In this whole process Manager Micheal was really rude and abuse us. Because he was getting calls from Head office.
We informed Manager, we want to go for a refund Because we can't believe those guys.
Then the Manager Michel was telling us take the vehicle tomorrow morning 11am they will organise another technician.
We informed him we need to go for refund and he was really aggressive. Asked me go out from the Auotobarn. We informed him that we are working tomorrow. Please give our refund.
Then he said he will uninstall the camera first before go for refund. And I asked I need recovery amount because they have damaged my car 3 places to install one camera. Without coming to resolution they asked us go to vehicle and then the sales person Stephan come to me and abused me blaming without any respect.
I asked the sale person you are abusing me outside the autobarn, please go inside autobarn and talk to me the same way.
Then we went inside the Auotobarn and Stephan was talking to me nicely. I asked him why you change the tone which you talked to me Outside and he was started to shouting me and hitting on the table. Make me frightened and abused. I asked Sales person advise me what is the resolution for damaged but he was really aggressive and said first we uninstall the camera then will do something.
Finally Manger Micheal came to us and threaten us to go outside from the Auotobarn. Otherwise he will call police that we have tress passed because it is 5pm.
We have had no option we came out. They waste hour 2hours time and damaged the car. And still I am under pressure what to do. This is the first time we have had face this kind of problem. I have small baby had an appointment which I couldn't make it today 4.45pm. Because Auotobarn staff treated like this.
We trusted Autobarn and ended up finally this kind of problem. I am really stressed about this.
Please give us a resolution.

purchased a car
I went to Autobarn Chicago Mazda and they totally defrauded me and when I tried to call to resolve the issue they said they would call back and never did. Then they avoided my calls and hung up on me. The car I have is not able to pass the required emissions testing along with many other issues but this is the main issue. I cant even license the car without this. It is a worthless pile is metal right now.
They also deleted codes which are now starting to pop on.
Bad service
This was my second order from Autobarn, the first being a battery in August of this year. Since that transaction worked well, and I needed an item that my normal supplier Rock Auto did not carry, I thought I would try this merchant again for part of the order since they offered free shipping due to the amount of money I was spending. My order consisted of maintenance items like belts, hoses, PCV, tune up items, etc. for a Dodge- nothing special order or exotic from Autobarn. The one special order item I bought came from Rock Auto, who promptly contacted me via email for additional information.
I split the order between Rock Auto and Autobarn and am sorry I did so. Both orders went in on the same date (9-21), and Rock Auto as usual emailed order confirmation and tracking information, which included what was in each box with the tracking number for each. I had all but the special order part delivered in a few days (by 9-25, four days) via ground shipping.
After about a week and a half of no info, on 10-2 I did a status inquiry with Autobarn via email and this netted an automated reply followed by a reply on 10-3 asking what "item" I had ordered (I had included my order number in the original email inquiry, so this was a truly stupid question). I replied by copying the invoice Autobarn had sent me. A few days later (10-6), I finally received notice my order had shipped, although it did not say what. There was a disclaimer that if I had ordered multiple items they may not arrive at the same time.
As another indicator of how slow the Autobarn shipment process is, I placed another order for a foreign car with Rock Auto on 10-2 and had these parts in hand by 10-5, again with ground shipping.
Also, the online catalog for Autobarn is far more difficult to navigate than the one for Rock Auto.
In summary, I guess if you only need to order one thing and don't need to know when it is going to arrive; this is a good place to shop. Otherwise, go someplace great like Rock Auto. I know this sounds more like a positive review of Rock Auto, but I was in a position to review both at the same time, so this is what I did. The few dollars saved at Autobarn were not worth the inferior service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
