Award Notification Commission [ANC] asking for money in order to receive 2 million dollar prize

I received a two page letter informing me that I had won 2 million dollar prize and all I had to do was send in an acquisition fee of 12.99 to receive it. Nowhere does it state where this Commission is located except to say Midwest, United States of America. They enclose a "fake check" for the 2 mil. Definite scam. What I want is to take them out of business since I noticed complaints on this site as far back as 2011. The price increases each year of amount they ask for. Class action lawsuit if necessary. Since this is sent to several different states, I should think the federal government or some aspect of same could close them down before ignorant people give them any more moneys.

Please make them stop sending letters and getting rich off of people sending in 12.49. Do you realize how many people really think they won something. Probably taking there last dollar to pay them. To be dissappointed and this should not be allowed. As many years as people have complained it still goes on. Really, whats up with that.

Award Notification Commission [ANC] forwarding dishonest information

I received a letter that seems official for ANC. The letter stated that I was awarded 1, 230, 946.00 cash, which I could accept as a lump-sum or 30 years cash annuity of 2, 000, 000.00. If I accept yearly payment, I will receive $ 66, 667.00 for 30 years. I was very skeptical, so I did a search of ANC to find out that the information is a scam.

Award Notification Commission [ANC] failure to pay up awards

As many many more I am assuming, had big hopes of winning a sizeable amount of money, in this case, any amount of money. They send letters and letters, making it seem as if you have already won cash, what you are paying for are preparation document fees. HOG WASH! I am sick and tired of being lied to and letting them think its ok, wait a few months, a year and come up with a new presentation package and send them another $11.95. they should not use the us postal service, although they do need the work since automation took over. C'mon, State of Missouri, you need to tighten the hatch a bit on allowing businesses such as these that rip off money from the elderly, and everyone else that is in need and naive, make them pay expensive sanctions, make them follow through and actually pay someone. Check business licenses and complaints with FTC. They will just falsify documents, print up a new looking scam and open up somewhere else. Usually where land and rent space is affordable, cheap.( No phone numbers, that leaves records!) Always undated material, so you cant hold them to contract if caught, especially having to deal with deadlines.

Company sends out award winning mailings under the name Award Notification Commission utilizing a post office box in Kansas City, Missouri to participate in cash prize drawing. Consumers should understand they have not won any money yet, for they have not entered into the sweepstakes yet. The mailing ask the consumer to return the Entry & Completion Form to see if their number is the pre-selected number. The mailing solicits the return of a notice to be a cash prize winner, but suggests enclosed payment of $11.89 for a coupon booklet at the same time. Consumers should understand the suggested payment is to purchase an item from the company. Company's mailing states, A Purchase is not necessary and will not improve the odds of winning. Recipients of the mailing should not assume they need to buy the premium acquistion(coupon booklet)merchandise to participate in the sweepstakes to win the prize money. The bureau has received complaints on the merchandise sold by the company and from consumers who believed they had won a prize due to the firm's mailing. The company has been responsive to the complaints. (from BBB) Better Business B.

Award Notification Commission [ANC] claims I won $2,000,000.00

I support charities and enter lots of contests.
If these people are a scam-they have been writing to people for years, why are they permitted?
Form of tender no: 13570
#[protected]-416806/[protected]

They ask for an
Acquisition
Fee of $12.99. It is according to the internet an attempt to get you signature. They ask for cash, check, or money order.
How can anyone prove they sent cash?

What about the protection of the elderly? If these people are scam artists, why are they permitted to continue for years. With the lottery, publishers clearing house... How would they know. I just moved here and they have my name address and all they need is a signature. With checks and money orders-why are they not stopped?
It comes complete with a threat to take $30.00 from your bank account if you do not have adequate
Funds. To cover $12.99

We pay taxes-if this is a scam-stop them. If not, they need to show a lot of people "the money". If it is a po box-you can't send it signature certified mail. You cannot prove it got there any date.

Before my mother passed-she used to believe these contests. She was failing. She was so trusting. We took care of her finances and her-but, what about folks with no one to look after them. Please find out who these people are-and if they have paid anyone anything
. Maybe a "60 minutes coverage" or the like.

I see I am not the first one to complain about this USPS scammer. I've never received so much scam mail as I have since we relocated. It is making me really nervous about identity theft. Anyhow, here is another to add to the list. Don't be fooled people, Make note the "letters" are Xerox copies. An official notice of any sort ALWAYS has an official signature not a copy & paste. Also notice how all of the signatures and stampings that are not on a designated line are all perfectly straight... when do government documents that require endorsements EVER have them neatly organized.. Notice how there isn't a website or phone number or even anything stating HOW you were put up for the "prize". And if you're STILL not convinced use technology. A bar code is place on the pages, scan the bar code. You'll find it's a fake bar code. These scammers even went as far as to enclose official rules where if you send a traceable money option they will take additional money from you with those account information you provided. Above all else have common sense. If you entered a sweepstakes don't you think you would remember entering it? Also have you ever heard of anyone winning a sweepstakes through the mail? And like so many others have also said, who in the history of prizes has ever had to pay in order to receive their prize...?

Yaaaay, I just won too! Geez, when my husband returns from deployment, he'll be so relieved that all of our financial troubles are over, I'm going to choose the $66, 667 a year, that way I can replace 1 arthritis riddled joint per year so I can get back to the grind by the time I'm 50. I'm so dang excited...we may even have a little left over for a vacation or to start our own little nest egg in an off shore account!
On a side note... pretty sure I don't need to add a sarcasm disclaimer in fine print.

Award Notification Commission [ANC] acquisition fee for premium offer

This company continues to send award notification letters, requesting cash, check or money order for $11.89 as an acquisition free as part of the steps to receiving a lump-sum check for $1, 140, 000.00 or 30 year annuity payment of $66, 667.00 per year with a total payment of $2, 000, 000.00. This fake award notification looks very official, with the letter heading "official declaration of certified award and provision of payment. " it states no purchase necessary. Purchase will not increase chance of winning, yet states that the prepayment of fee for $11.89 is mandatory and must be enclosed as a requirement by selective method of payment and remittance enclosed with the complete return of the entire page in order to be the recipient of the award. Please do not send these people any money. If you win an award judgement, no matter the amount, the individual isn't required to send any money, not for processing fees, or any other fees! If you receive this document, as I have, ignore the letter, trash it, or shred it. Know that they continue to ask for more money and there is no one who has ever received the award from this organization.

Return them to the Company marked "DECEASED". They have to pay return postage. This should do the trick. or you could simply keep returning them WITHOUT MARKING THEM ! This way you get satisfaction of scamming a scammer. It costs them money in the long run.

Award Notification Commission [ANC] fraud

Got a letter by mail and it said I had won $ 2, 000, 000. Ask for a fee $ 12.99 for delivery and to add
$ 3.00 for rush processing. You could send cash, check, money order payable to anc. I just went online to see if this was a scam and I am so glad I did I seen all the other complaints on this company. I received this type of mail every year about this time of the year. Have any one did any thing to this company to stop this scam? How can we stop this? Many of my friends have sent the fee in and just get ask to send in more money. They prey on senior citzens. There should be a campaig started to warn people about this company and advice them not to send the fees in and maybe that would put them out of business. I called serveral friend and they have received the same letter. I am encouraging my friends to not send in the money.

Nice work if you can get it (i.e. writing to people asking them to send you money!). I THOUGHT EVERYONE WAS AWARE OF THESE TYPES OF LETTERS BY NOW (USUALLY EMAILS).! I usually give them my address and ask them to send it in cash ! (two suitcases should hold it. They can trust me to look after it for them. NEVER SEND THEM ANY BANK DETAILS OR CASH. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND COMPANIES USING THESE TACTICS. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOO TO BE TRUE THEN IT IS! (TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE)

Award Notification Commission [ANC] sweepstakes fraud/scm

This company contacted me via mail claiming I won 2 million dollars I had the option to pay a premium offer of $11.95. Since there is no purchase necessary and a purchase does not increase your chance of winning stated on the paperwork that I still have, I mailed the paper back to them. A week later they said without the check the 2 million dollar offer will be void so I sent the check. I sent a check then I started getting a other letter stating to send money. I did not send anymore money so then u get this letter stating that without the money my winnings has been put on hold until received. I will no t be sending any more money. People like this needs to be stopped.

Today I received the 3rd letter from the Award Notification Committee. No amount was listed that I won but the letter said that IF my number was picked I would need to send $12.99 to ANC in order for me to receive the money. The 2nd letter I received I returned the entry along with a note asking them who they were, what was their phone number and when could I call them. I also said that if I won I would be glad to send them the money upon proof that it was a legitimate win. My answer was received today. The very same letter asking me to send $12.99 in order to receive the money if I won. It was signed by a William MacDougal, Compliance Examiner. This is such a scam that these people should be sent to jail for preying on people in this economy. There are too many people in this country that would believe this and send money because there's no guarantee stated in the letter that you've won, only IF you win, you'll have to have sent them $12.99 in order to receive the money. No such requirements exist in an honest contest.

They tell me that I have just won $3Million dollars, and that they can take no further action in this matter until I send my payment in the envelope provided.
The amount that they require was 12.99.

It looks so official, folks, that it can fool you into actually sending them the money.
If you have won a prize, why would you have to pay anything to receive it?

I received an official mail delivery form w098 saying I had won $2, 000, 000.00 and I could get it in 30 payments of $66, 667.00 or in one lump sum of $1, 250, 000.00. Then the form said I had to send an applied fee of $11.89 in order to secure the money. Stupid me sent the check for $11.89 and I have not heard a word. I got to thinking about it shortly after I sent it and got a bad gut feeling it was fraud. I started checking on line under award notification commission/aka next gen and found 70 complaints of fraud just like this one. I want these people stopped and I want my $11.89 back and I want to know if I have groundsto sue these people for fraud. I have done lots of paper work on this and have the forms. Sent to me. I"m mad at myself, but these documents look very much official. It has for the address the following:. Office of the president, award notification commission, official records and contact - financial matters, processing & judging plaza, po box 2905, kansas city, ks 66110 and then under that it says united states of america. Mr. James mallory signed the form. It all looked and sounded so official. What a dope I am. I hope you can get these bozos and put them in jail. I don't want to see anyone else scammed.

This "fraud" group sending this BS must be retarded. Nice try ANS...If someone had won that much money, why even ask for a processing fee that could easily be deducted from the winnings!...$2, 000, 000 - $11.89? Are you kidding me?...They could take $2000 out of $2mil for processing fee and i would be happy with the remaining $1, 998, 000...Come on people!

I just got my scam letter a few days ago. Thank God I researched before I sent out my 11.89. $11.89 is not much but when you add all the $11.89 they collect from every letter they send out. They actually become the winner of a big jackpot. In the letter it says enclose ( Cash, Check or Money order ) hmmmmm CASH... that kind of made my eyes open... Who sends cash?
well guys stay safe from scammers and hope money comes to us in a BLESS way...

My father just received the letter and had me look at it since i can detect a scam a mile off. What most people don't know is lottery law states that they can not ask for a processing fee or any moneys where to.

I kind of knew it was a scam, when they had the option to send cash, lol, but thanks for all of your warning, I'll make sure my kids know about this, and shame on publishers clearing house for place my address out there, cause this is the only thing I've applied for was that...

I was also scammed for 11.89. Got another letter from ANC. Same format and offer, winning 2, 000, 000. Now they want 13.89 for Premium Offer Fee. Seems to me that the Attorney General could get money paid back and stop these thieves from the Ripoff Artist that they are.

My God! I just received the same letter stating that I won a sum up of 1, 230, 946.00 and that I need to pay $12.99 + $3.00! . The address is from : "Commissioner of Judging Award Notification commission; Processing Office/distribution Center, PO BOX 2905, Kansas City.KS [protected]. Is this a scam then? How did then get my information? Thanks for your help if someone out there has an answer.

I just received the same letter today. And I am glad I decided to look it up before taking any kind of action towards collecting my $2 million winnings. I hate when people try to do this stuff.

I two received a letter by mail from the Award Notification Commission, P.O. box 2905, Kansas City KS 66110. Claiming I'm a winner of 100, 000.00, and to send an Acquisition fee for Premium offer due in the amount of $11.89. I did not send the money of give them my signature, I ripped the letter up. Hope you did the same.
