Waste of money and I got nothing from them
People, don’t waste your money with the company www.backgroundalert.com. I also decided to get the background check and after several days I understood that the company simply fooled me. They received my money and told that I would get it by email, but after several days and I have nothing in my mail box. Seriously, it was the worst deal ever and I was disappointed that I decided to deal with them.
They promised, but haven't sent the check
The website www.backgroundalert.com promises a lot, but in result you get completely nothing. I believed to the ad of this company and send them money for the check, but these guys took money and vanished with it. I was so shocked and disappointed at the same time that I tried to contact the customer services, but of course nothing. People, don’t rely on these staff and avoid their services at all costs.
Misleading
7-3-15 This company claims they can provide you the most current and accurate information on anybody. I tried their trial for $1 for five days and entered a person's name that I knew alot of information already on and this company provided VERY old information that hadn't been current for years! When I called them and told them this AND referenced their "customer satisfaction guaranteed" they stated that the information I was provided was the most current information. I relayed to them that I pulled up this name to test their accuracy and knew for a fact this wasn't even CLOSE to being current. The guy argued with me and said there was no way they return the $1. I told them they had a customer satisfaction guarantee and asked to speak to his manager. LOL the manager was on another line and couldn't be reached at this time and the guy asked me if I would like to hold for him. I said yes and then he said, well, the manager was still on another call and I could call back later or he would have the manager "Richard" call me back when he is finished. I said Richard should call me back. This is a HUGE RIP OFF Site. It doesn't provide any more current information than the other rip off sites like People Finder and BeenVerified. I think that if they have a customer satisfaction guarantee then I should be able to get my money (yes, $1) back no matter how little the amount. Especially, since I only used this site for 5 minutes and called them immediately when I realized that had old useless information.

They started to steal money from me
I paid money for the background check on the website www.backgroundalert.com, but it was total rip off. I didn’t get any report at all, but these guys started to charge me every month for something. It was awful, because I couldn’t stop these charges and no one from the company responded to my requests. Total rip off and fraud, so be careful. Find another website with such background reports.
Please cancel my Background Alert! I have been paying for this service and have not been getting my alerts. Marion Steuart
I believe it may be the nature of these companies. The same thing happened to me using "People Finder." I received incorrect and incomplete information and they charged me immediately and then began taking a monthly "membership" fee out. When I called, they said it was non refundable.
I will be calling my bank to make sure I stop any more attempts they make to charge me.

They sent me fake info, so their background check total scam
I was really disappointed in the website www.backgroundalert.com. I paid $25.99 for the info, which turned to be fake and completely useless. I received the phone number and street address, but when I tried to call, the phone didn’t exist. I checked the address in the Internet, and there wasn’t such house at all. They provided fake info, so better avid these jerks and don’t pay them money. Not recommended.
They charged quickly, but didn't provide info
I don’t advise anyone to visit the website www.backgroundalert.com. I wasted money and this company simply fooled me. They promised to send the report and found info about one theme, but it was big scam. They only charged me for this report immediately. I was really disappointed and tried to return money back, but no one replied and I stopped trying. Stay away from this awful website and post comments about your experience. I wonder if there are people, who have the same problems and what have you done in such situation, please post comments.
They took money, but I couldn't log in
Please, be aware and avoid the website www.backgroundalert.com. I paid for their services in order to check the work on my house, and recently I wanted to log in, but it was impossible. The website showed error and that’s all. I tried to get any help from the support team, but no one replied. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide nothing. Please post your comments about this company.
I signed up for a one time search and then realized they have been billing me $22.95 a month for past 6 months. It took two hours to sort it out and they refused to refund any money.
BackgroundAlert.com has a slick advert campaign and a snazzy web interface that promises a lot of information. I tried it out on myself and ordered a one-month package for around $20. The results are disappointing. There are free search websites using public domain information that are more thorough. I called after that trial run and explained by issues to their Customer Service department. I wanted a refund as I felt their promises of results were misleading. Bottom line up front . . . they would not provide one. They did offer a %25 discount on what I'd purchased and promised not to rebill me monthly (I was unaware that I'd signed up for that!). At this point, I'll consider it a loss and a lesson learned for about $15 (the cost of 3 lattes at Starbucks). Caveat emptor! There are easier ways to waste your money. "
