Poor Customer Service Experience with Banana Republic: A Disappointing Encounter
I had a bit of an issue with Banana Republic and decided to reach out to them via email. After a while, I received a phone call from a guy named Zack. Unfortunately, when I tried to call him back, he wasn't available. I had to listen to his voicemail five times because he mumbled his phone number. Eventually, I managed to get through to him, but he was on break. The woman who answered the phone transferred my call without telling me, and I ended up waiting in a long queue.
When I finally spoke to someone, they told me that it had been over 90 days since I purchased the item, so I couldn't return it. However, I had already returned the item using their prepaid label. Unfortunately, the item was sent back to me without being looked at. I was in the process of moving at the time, so the item got packed away and I never got around to dealing with it.
I was really upset about the whole situation. I had paid for a defective item and felt like Banana Republic didn't care about their customers. I decided to pursue the issue further, but it was clear that they weren't interested in helping me out. In the end, I decided to cut up my credit card and never shop at Banana Republic or Gap again.
Instead, I've been shopping at Ann Taylor Loft. I find that their items are nicer, and I can get better prices there. Overall, I'm really disappointed with Banana Republic's customer service. It's a shame because I used to be a loyal customer. But if they're not willing to help me out when I have an issue, then I don't see the point in continuing to shop there.
GAP Brands: Disappointing Quality and Customer Service
I remember going to the GAP when I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult, I've been shopping at Banana Republic and Old Navy. But lately, I've noticed that the quality of their clothes has gone downhill. It seems like they're making them to be disposable after just a few wears. It's frustrating because I end up having to buy more clothes more often.
To make matters worse, their customer service is a joke. I ordered something a few weeks ago and I've been trying to figure out where it is ever since. The chat function is useless and the people on the phone aren't any better. I've talked to seven different people in four different departments and I still don't have an answer. It's like they're all untrained children working in some far-off country.
When I finally decided to just get a refund, it took them 5-8 business days to process it. And then I had to wait another 30 days to get my money back. It's ridiculous. I'm not a kid anymore and I don't want to buy clothes that I'll have to throw away in a few years. I've started shopping at Jcrew, COS, and Brooks Brothers instead. They've earned my loyalty.
I think the GAP brands are done. They should just declare bankruptcy and be done with it. It's a shame because I used to love shopping there, but now it's just not worth it.
Disappointing Experience with Banana Republic's Online Sale: Shoes Arrived Damaged and Used
So, I was browsing Banana Republic's website and saw that they had a sale going on - 40% off! I decided to treat my boyfriend to a new pair of shoes and ordered the Dellbrook loafers. To my surprise, my boyfriend had also ordered the same pair of shoes without knowing that I had already ordered them. We were both excited to receive our new shoes, especially since they were on sale and we had never seen them at a discounted price before.
However, when my order arrived, I was disappointed to find that the shoebox was destroyed and the shoes inside were a size 11.5 instead of the 10.5 that I had ordered. I immediately called customer service and was told that they could only locate one pair of size 10.5 in all of their stores across the US. It's been a week since I called, but I'm still hopeful that the correct size will arrive soon.
To make matters worse, my boyfriend's order arrived a week later and we were shocked at what we received. The shoes were not only the wrong style, but they were also extremely used and looked like they had been worn by someone else. We were disgusted and immediately requested a full refund. Needless to say, we won't be making any more online purchases from Banana Republic.
It's really disappointing to receive such poor quality products from a well-known brand like Banana Republic. I hope they take steps to ensure that this never happens again and that they improve their quality control measures. It's a shame because we used to be loyal customers, but this experience has definitely left a bad taste in our mouths.
Disappointed with Banana Republic's Service and Treatment of Loyal Customers
I gotta say, I used to be a big fan of Banana Republic. I mean, I loved their clothes and their style. But let me tell you, my recent experience with them has left me feeling pretty disappointed. I had my eye on these ribbed tanks for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy them. I ordered three of them from the US and had them shipped to me in Canada because they didn't have my size available here. And let me tell you, they were worth it. I loved them so much that I decided to order some more from the Canadian site on June 21st. I was so excited to get them and complete my look for a special occasion.
But then, on June 29th, I got a refund of $75 and no explanation as to why. I was confused and frustrated. They had charged my credit card and then cancelled my order without any reason. I mean, what gives? I had been a loyal customer for 18 years and this is how they treat me? It's just not right.
I really hope that the folks at Banana Republic read these reviews and take them seriously. They have a lot of angry customers out there and they need to address these issues. I mean, customers should be valued and retained, not left feeling like their money doesn't matter. The service is truly lacking and it's a shame because I really wanted to love Banana Republic. But now, I just can't bring myself to be a customer anymore.
I had plans for those tops, you know? There was a reason I bought them. And now, I'm left with nothing. It's just not fair. So, to the team at Banana Republic, please step up your game. Your customers deserve better.
Disappointing Experience with Banana Republic's Online Shopping & Customer Service
I recently made a purchase on the Banana Republic website and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I ordered a black turtle neck, but instead received a green cashmere sweater. Although the black turtle neck was no longer available, I decided to keep the green sweater. However, my disappointment continued when I placed another order for a different black turtle neck and received a white t-shirt in the wrong size. To make matters worse, the t-shirt had a price tag from Old Navy. I was frustrated and confused as to how this could happen not once, but twice.
I contacted Banana Republic's customer service and spoke to a manager. Unfortunately, the best they could do was provide a return label for the item. However, the t-shirt was not even worth returning as it was of poor quality. The black turtle neck I wanted was no longer available, and I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Both times, the items were packaged in a transparent plastic bag with a label that matched the SKU number of what I had ordered, yet the item inside was incorrect.
The only solution offered was that if the black turtle neck became available again, I could purchase it at the sales price. However, this did not make up for the inconvenience and disappointment I experienced. It is clear that the sweater is sold out and the offer is not a big deal. I had not shopped at Banana Republic for a long time, but this season they had exceptional items that caught my eye. Unfortunately, this experience has soured my opinion of the brand. I am not sure if I will shop there again, and it seems that Banana Republic does not care about my experience.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Banana Republic Corporate
Banana Republic Corporate seems to be lacking in providing quality customer service to their consumers. I had recently returned an item within 24 hours of receiving it, using the prepaid shipping label provided by the company. Unfortunately, the shipment was lost in transit, and despite providing Banana Republic with a copy of my UPS receipt, they refused to issue a refund until the lost shipment was located or a claim was submitted. I was disappointed with their response, as this issue was between Banana Republic and their contracted shipper, and should not have involved the customer.
I spoke with both a representative and a supervisor, explaining that their refusal to issue my refund due to a problem with their shipper was a violation of my consumer rights. However, they were not willing to budge on their stance. It was frustrating to deal with such a lack of knowledge and support from a company that I had trusted to provide quality service.
Thankfully, I was able to get my rightful refund through PayPal, after initiating a dispute claim. It was disappointing to see that Banana Republic had failed to provide the level of customer service that I had come to expect from them. It seems that they need to improve their staff training, knowledge of policies and consumer rights, and personable customer service skills.
It's a shame to see Banana Republic receiving numerous negative online reviews, as it reflects poorly on their ability to provide quality service to their customers. As a consumer, I expect to be treated with respect and support, and it's disappointing to see a company fall short in this regard. I hope that Banana Republic Corporate takes steps to improve their customer service, so that other consumers don't have to go through the same frustrating experience that I did.
Poor Customer Service Experience with Banana Republic Corporate: Refusal to Issue Refund for Lost Shipment
Banana Republic Corporate seems to be lacking in providing top-notch customer service to their consumers. I had an experience where I returned an item within 24 hours of receiving it, using the prepaid shipping label provided by the company. Unfortunately, the shipment was lost in transit. I provided Banana Republic with a copy of my UPS receipt to prove that I had returned the item promptly, but they refused to issue a refund until the lost shipment was located or a claim was submitted.
I tried to explain to both the representative and supervisor that this issue was between Banana Republic and their contracted shipper, and that it did not involve me as the customer. I also pointed out that their refusal to issue my refund due to a problem with their shipper was a violation of my consumer rights. However, they still refused to issue the refund.
Thankfully, I was able to get my rightful refund through PayPal after initiating a dispute claim. It's disappointing to see that Banana Republic has a pattern of negative online reviews, which suggests that they need to improve their staff training, knowledge of policies and consumer rights, and customer service skills.
Overall, I'm disappointed with Banana Republic's substandard customer service and hope that they take steps to improve it in the future. It's important for companies to prioritize their customers and ensure that they receive the quality, knowledgeable, respectful, and supportive service they deserve.
Banana Republic: Declining Quality, Poor Customer Service, and Dishonest Practices
I have been a loyal customer of Banana Republic for many years now. However, in the past year or so, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of their products and customer service. To make matters worse, their prices have doubled and tripled, making it difficult for me to justify shopping there anymore.
One of the biggest issues I have encountered with Banana Republic is their management and training problems. This has resulted in significant problems for consumers like me. For instance, if you happen to visit the store without a receipt or if the item was gifted to you, the store will offer you a store merchandise credit to spend in the store. However, I strongly advise against accepting this offer as it is a scam.
The company uses a third-party retail organization to count returns without receipts. This means that the next time you try to return an item, you may be ambushed with a surprise that your return has been denied. The company is working in cahoots with this third-party organization to defraud their customers. It is not disclosed in their return policy that the minute you agree to return your gift or item without a receipt, it counts against you. The "friendly" customer service representative in the store may advise you to put it on a gift card, but this is just a ploy to get you to spend more money in their store.
As consumers, we should be protected against dishonest retailers like Banana Republic. I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau to protect my rights as a consumer, but I received no response. It seems like we consumers have no protection, which is not right. I will never shop at this retailer again and will be returning all the items I have ever bought from them.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against using Banana Republic as a retailer. Their prices are exorbitant, their customer service is poor, and they engage in dishonest practices that are not disclosed in their return policy. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.
Uncomfortable and Disrespected: My Experience at Banana Republic
I had a really bad experience at Banana Republic. I went in to do some shopping and ended up feeling really uncomfortable and disrespected. I spent about $100 on clothes and when I went to pay, the cashier asked me for my government-issued ID. I was really surprised and didn't understand why he needed it. He said it was for security reasons, but I didn't feel like it was necessary. I showed him my ID anyway and put it back in my wallet. Then he asked to see my credit card and my ID at the same time. I thought this was really strange and unnecessary, but I showed him anyway. Then he asked me about my last name, which I thought was really invasive. I felt like he was treating me like a criminal or something.
When I asked him why he needed all this information, he said it was for my own security. But I didn't feel like he was really concerned about my safety. I felt like he was just being nosy and trying to show off his power. I didn't appreciate being treated like this in front of other customers. It made me feel embarrassed and humiliated.
I think if Banana Republic is really concerned about fraud, they should do this for every customer, not just select ones. I felt like I was being targeted because of my skin color or something. It was really unfair and made me not want to shop there again.
I also think that Banana Republic should focus more on providing good quality clothing instead of being overly cautious about their transactions. As a customer, I want to feel respected and valued, not like a criminal. I don't think I'll be going back to Banana Republic anytime soon, and I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone I know. It's really important for retail stores to treat their customers with respect and dignity, and I don't think Banana Republic is doing a very good job of that.
Unpleasant Experience with Banana Republic's Online Store: Conflicting Information and Price Discrepancies
I recently had an experience with Banana Republic's online store and I have to say, it was not a pleasant one. I made a purchase at 6pm one evening and decided to cancel it just an hour later. I called their customer service line to cancel my order, but to my surprise, I received an email two days later saying that my item had been shipped. I was very frustrated because I had clearly requested a cancellation, but it seemed like they had no intention of honoring my request.
It's clear to me that Banana Republic knew that the item was final sale and that if they shipped it, I would not be able to return it. It seems like they decided to make a profit off of my purchase instead of doing the right thing and canceling it. Needless to say, I won't be making any more purchases from Banana Republic in the future.
Another issue I had with Banana Republic was the huge price difference between their online store and their physical store. I went into a store looking for a specific pair of pants, but they didn't have my size. The cashier offered to order the pants for me online and I agreed. However, when I saw the price of the pants online, I was shocked. The same pants that the cashier had quoted me at $97 were actually only $25 on the website. That's a 300% difference in price!
To make matters worse, when I called Banana Republic's customer service line to try and cancel my order, I received conflicting information from different representatives. One person told me that I could only cancel my order within the first 30 minutes, while another said it was only possible within the first 5-10 minutes. A third representative told me that I had an hour to cancel my order, but when I checked the website, it said that cancellations were only possible within the first 45 minutes. It was very frustrating to receive such contradictory information, and it felt like they were lying to me.
Overall, my experience with Banana Republic was not a good one. I would caution anyone thinking of making a purchase from their online store to be very careful and to double-check prices before making a purchase. And if you do need to cancel an order, don't expect Banana Republic to honor your request.

Potential Fraud Alerts
I had 3 orders "cancelled" by Banana Republic! I am a VIP member and have their Barclays card. Called numerous times and NO ONE could help or tell me how to fix this. I ordered online many times to my current address and never had a problem. By the 5th call they were getting really nasty with me, saying I had to shop in person in the store, WOW, JUST WOW!
I have a very high credit score and there were NO issues on the Barclays side, for some reason the retailer flagged me as Potential Fraud, even when I used a different credit card to pay for my order and passed every security question they asked, WOW, JUST WOW.
They have jobs because people like me spend a lot of money in their store, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE FRAUD POLICY AND PROCEDURE!

Factory order # 1hcwf00 not received.
Good afternoon,
My name is Malgorzata Otero and I'm contacting you regarding my Banana Republic Factory order # 1HCWF00.
I have not received my order and contacted your customer service via chat. I was sent a link to file the claim. I filed the claim on 3/4/2024 and received a reply informing me that you are unable to process a refund. Claim reference# cniui4ectrvts4gqgbr0.
I don't understand why you are unable to process a refund or issue a store credit. I placed my order, paid for it and have not received the item.
As your frequent buyer, I'm very disappointed with the outcome.
I ask you to review my claim again and issue a refund or store credit.
Thank you.

refusal to exchange product purchased online
I purchased online a pair of shorts on 31 July 2023. The shorts ordered were pink and of size 30. I received a white pair of size 29. I tried to return them in the store yesterday and was advised that it was passed the 30 return window and therefore there was nothing they could do. I contacted the Customer service today (24 Sept) and received the same answer adding that there was not flexibility whatsoever due the system they use. Other than apologizing for the fact, nothing else to try to help solve the issue was offered.
While I understand that the return policy is 30 days, I was hoping for a little bit of flexibility since the original mistake had been made by them.
Desired outcome: exchange of the shorts for the right one or a credit for future purchase

Please help! I purchased a linen blouse ($85) at the Banana Republic at Green Hills Mall while visiting Nashville on 6/14/23. The blouse didn’t work for me so within 1 week, I called the store to verify the address to return the blouse with tags and receipt intact. I was told that returns can only be made in person. I explained that I live 2 hours from...
Read full review of Banana RepublicBanana Republic Review: From Daring and Innovative to Good Quality, But Not as Unique
Banana Republic is a store that has been around for a while now. It was started by someone in Mexico who wanted to make some money by selling bootleg copies of all their products. When it first started, it was a really cool store that sold everything Indiana Jones might need on his next adventure. The stores had jeeps sticking halfway out of the window and elephant tusks and terrific safari jackets. It was really daring and innovative.
Not everyone who buys this stuff intends to go on safari, they just want to look like they just came back. But then the GAP bought it and removed all the things that made it interesting and raised the prices. It's not as cool as it used to be, but it's still a good store.
I have 3 safari jackets from the old Banana Republic and they're all really good value and quality. The design and quality of the old safari jacket was unique to them. They were really well made and lasted a long time. I also have a $110 belt from the new Banana Republic. It's a nice belt, but it's not as unique as the old safari jackets were. It's just a regular belt that you could get anywhere.
Overall, Banana Republic is a good store. They have some nice clothes and accessories, but they're not as unique as they used to be. If you're looking for something that's really different and cool, you might want to look somewhere else. But if you just want some nice clothes that are good quality, Banana Republic is a good choice.
Disappointed with Banana Republic Winter Wardrobe: A Review
I gotta say, I've been using my Banana Republic card like crazy for the past three months. I was trying to rack up enough points to get myself a whole new winter wardrobe. But let me tell you, I'm pretty disappointed with what I got.
First off, the clothes just don't fit right. I mean, I'm not a big person or anything, but those herringbone seafarer pants were like wearing a parachute. And get this, the model they used in the picture was supposed to be the same height as me! I don't know what kind of magic they used to make those pants look good on her, but they definitely didn't work for me. I looked like a total goofball.
And don't even get me started on those brushed marl pants. They might as well have been pajamas, because there's no way I could wear those out in public. I mean, I like to be comfortable and all, but I don't want to look like I just rolled out of bed.
The turtleneck wasn't much better. I didn't even notice in the description that there was a seam down the back. Who does that? I could have gotten a better fitting and better looking turtleneck at JCPenney.
The only thing that was worth keeping was the alpaca sweater. It's super soft and cuddly, although it does have a bit of a scratchy feel to it. But hey, at least it looks good and keeps me warm.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my Banana Republic experience. I was hoping for some stylish and well-fitting clothes, but instead I got a bunch of duds. I don't think I'll be shopping there again anytime soon.
Disappointed in Banana Republic's Recent Designs: Too Weird for Workwear
I've been shopping at Banana Republic for a long time, like 15 years long. But lately, I've been feeling like their clothes are just plain weird. It's like their designers are taking inspiration from Dr. Seuss or something. I used to love their classic, yet stylish clothes, and I would spend around $2,000 a year there. But last season, I didn't buy anything, and this season is just as bad. The clothes are over-accessorized and made from crazy fabrics that just don't work in a corporate environment. They make sexy and feminine clothes look ridiculous. I'm so disappointed in Banana Republic. I really hope they hire some designers who can make appropriate workwear for women. And I'm not the only one who feels this way. A lot of my friends have stopped shopping there too.
Poor Customer Service Experience at Banana Republic Toronto Premium Outlet
I recently visited Banana Republic at the Toronto Premium Outlet and had an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I had my brother's employee discount card with me and was hoping to use it for my purchase. However, I was informed by the lady at the checkout register that they could not honor the discount unless my brother was present with me. I understood the policy and proceeded to make my purchase without the discount.
Later on, my brother happened to be in the area and we decided to try and get the discount applied to my purchase. When we approached the same lady at the checkout register, she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She gave us a lecture about how we couldn't use the discount card without the owner present and made us feel like we were trying to cheat the system. This was despite the fact that I had used the same card before without any issues.
Her negative attitude and lack of customer service skills were extremely disappointing. I felt disrespected and undervalued as a customer. It's a shame because I have always enjoyed shopping at Banana Republic, but because of this experience, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
Overall, I think Banana Republic needs to work on their customer service training for their employees. It's important to treat customers with respect and kindness, even if they are not able to use a discount or coupon. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make changes to improve the shopping experience for their customers.
Disappointing Experience with Banana Republic: Out of Stock Item and Inconvenience
I gotta say, I had a pretty disappointing experience with Banana Republic. I was really excited to get my hands on this dress I had my eye on, so I placed an order on July 15th. I was eagerly waiting for it to arrive, but then 6 days later on July 21st, I got an email saying that the item was out of stock. What the heck, Banana Republic?! Why did you let me complete the order and take my money if you didn't even have the item in stock? It's not like I'm made of money and can just throw it around like that.
Honestly, this whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be ordering from Banana Republic again, or any of their affiliates for that matter. It's a real shame because I usually get most of my kids' clothes from the Gap, but if this is how Banana Republic operates, I don't want to risk it. I'm usually a pretty chill person, but waiting almost a week for an item that I thought was on its way, only to find out it's not even available? That's just ridiculous.
Sure, they're going to refund my money, but that's not the point. I wanted that dress! And now I have to go through the hassle of looking elsewhere and hoping I can find something that will arrive on time. The only silver lining is that they gave me a 10% discount on my next order, but honestly, I don't think that's enough to make up for the inconvenience.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Banana Republic. They really dropped the ball on this one.
Decent Shopping Experience at Banana Republic, But Watch Out for Mistakes
I gotta say, Banana Republic is a pretty decent place to shop for clothes. I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years now, and I gotta say, I've had some pretty good experiences with them. But let me tell you, if you make a mistake, you better watch out!
So here's what happened. I ordered something online, and I got the dates mixed up. I thought the delivery date was the same as the order date, but it turns out I was a couple days late. When I tried to return the item, they wouldn't let me! Can you believe that? After all these years of being a loyal customer, they couldn't even make an exception for me.
Now, I get it. Rules are rules, and they gotta stick to 'em. But come on, Banana Republic! You're supposed to be better than that. I mean, they mess up all the time - they deliver late, they send the wrong stuff, they don't meet your expectations - and that's all okay. But if you make an innocent mistake, forget about it.
Anyway, I'm not gonna let this ruin my relationship with Banana Republic. I'll still shop there, but I'll be more careful next time. And if they mess up again, I'll be sure to let 'em know. But in the meantime, I'm gonna check out some other options for buying clothes. You never know, I might find something even better!
Disappointing Experience with Banana Republic's Website: A Review
I gotta say, I'm not one to write reviews about websites, but I just had to let y'all know about my experience with bananarepublic.com. I'm a big fan of online shopping, I mean who has time to go to stores these days, am I right? And let me tell you, I know a thing or two about how online shopping should work.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some physical Banana Republic stores, but their website? Never again. I had an email coupon from them that I could only use online, so I decided to order three things. After waiting for almost a whole month for my order to arrive, I finally get an email from them saying they're sorry, but they don't have any of the items I ordered. Are you kidding me? What kind of inventory control is that?
To make matters worse, they only offered me a measly 10% apology coupon to use on their website. Like, seriously? That's supposed to make up for almost a month of waiting and then being told they don't have what I ordered? I was beyond disappointed.
Thankfully, I had stopped by the store while waiting for my order to arrive and was able to pick up two of the things I had ordered. So not all was lost, but still. I expected better from Banana Republic. Needless to say, I won't be shopping on their website again anytime soon.
Disappointed with Banana Republic: Poor Quality, Terrible Customer Service, and Online Nightmares
I gotta say, I'm feeling pretty bummed about Banana Republic lately. I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years, but the quality of their clothes has really taken a nosedive in recent years. It's like they're cutting corners wherever they can, using cheap materials and not bothering to size their clothes in any kind of logical way. And don't even get me started on their customer service - it's a total joke.
If you're thinking about ordering online, I'd advise against it. It's a total nightmare. And even if you do manage to place an order, good luck getting any help if something goes wrong. Their customer service reps ask way too many personal questions before they'll even talk to you, and it's just ridiculous. I mean, I get that they want to protect your account, but come on.
Honestly, if Banana Republic put half as much effort into their clothes and customer service as they do into security, I'd still be a customer. But as it stands, I've had it. I've started shopping at J. Crew again after a 25-year hiatus (no pun intended), and I've also been checking out Nordstrom and a few local boutiques. It's a real shame, because I used to love Banana Republic. But I guess all good things must come to an end.
Banana Republic's New Manager is a Nightmare: A Customer's Review
I used to be a regular at Banana Republic, spending around $1500 every year. But lately, things have gone downhill. They brought in a new store manager, Shawna, who is just the worst. I've seen her treat employees terribly, even berating them in front of customers. It's just not right.
I can't imagine what it must be like to work for someone like that. I've gotten to know a few of the employees, and they're not a happy bunch. It's really sad to see. And it's not just me who feels this way. I've talked to other customers who are also fed up with the way things are going.
If you believe that people should be treated with respect and kindness, then I urge you to take your business elsewhere. Don't support a company that allows this kind of behavior from its management. It's just not worth it.
I really hope that Banana Republic takes action and gets rid of Shawna. Until then, I won't be shopping there anymore. And I know I'm not alone in that decision.
Disappointing Experience with Banana Republic: Size Guide Misleading and Poor Customer Service
So, I recently bought a pair of corduroy pants from Banana Republic's website. I used their size guide to determine which size to order, and I thought I had it all figured out. But when the pants arrived, they didn't fit me at all. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured I could just return them to the store and get a refund.
When I got to the store, though, things didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. The receipt said that the sale was final, which I hadn't noticed before. I explained the situation to the manager, and I asked if there was anything she could do to help me out. I suggested maybe a store credit or something like that. But she just told me that I had to send the pants back to the website to get a refund.
I was pretty frustrated at this point, and I tried to explain that it wasn't my fault that the pants didn't fit. I had used their size guide, after all. But the manager just got really defensive and started raising her voice at me. She even scoffed at me when I suggested the store credit idea.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience at Banana Republic. I had always thought of them as a pretty reputable store, but this whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be shopping there again anytime soon.
Women's trench coat
I ordered a women's trench coat in Oct 2020 and I received a trench coat with the security tag attached as well as a black stain on the coat. I immediately ordered another coat received it with no problem. Well this is during the height of covid-19 so I was sick as well as some family via hospitalization unfortunately so my first line of duties was not about returning coat. Now just having an opportunity to go thru my closet I see I need to return coat attempted to call and explain they told me about return policy and that there is nothing they can do for me. Well this incident not needed if they would have taken customer care in the first place. I didn't send myself a ruined coat they did. I want them to take their coat back and give me a full refund. By the way both ladies I spoke with were rude and unprofessional and don't meet the standards of what supposedly BR used to stand for. I also have attempted to get the corporate # no one seems to know it how odd. I know I am being discriminated against because I have an Asian friend of mind who had the exact situation I am having they quickly refunded her money, she returned item and they gave her a coupon for one item at half off with no exceptions. Thxs
Desired outcome: A full refund
Incorrect order
I received a different item than the one I had ordered. Instead of just sending me the correct item, like every other retailer I've ever dealt with, BR/Gap's policy is that I have to go out of my way to return the incorrect item, wait for a refund, go through the whole process of placing a new order, and wait for that to be delivered and hope it is correct. This is unacceptable. I live in a rural area that is not close to any brick and mortar stores or close to any shipping options besides the local post office. It would take me hours to drive to a UPS store to complete a return. So now I am being penalized even further for their mistake and am expected to take hours out of my day to correct it?
Desired outcome: I want to be shipped the correct item without having to go through the absurd return process
Customer service
Banana Republic Park Royal Store is not only where customer service ends but where harassing and threatening of the customer by the senior staff of the store begin! The rude and demeaning behavior of the staff in this store was a reminder that if we, as patrons to these stores do not insist on proper service, sooner than later we will treated as in the worst underdeveloped countries where customers' rights and respect is nothing but a far cry. The staff who introduced themselves as managers not only did not even try the least to show the slightest empathy to the concern of the customer who had bought a defective (torn) product from their Factory Outlet Store [same company, same brand, another channel of revenue] the day before, but they refused to provide any assistance as to even try to find a solution to facilitate the return/exchange process (eg. contacting senior management or customer service line). Instead they harassed and threatened the customer to be removed from the store by the security solely for voicing his concerns loudly and "demanding good service." A total failure in providing proper service that you do not even expect from your local convenience store let alone a well-recognized brand. (As bad as a case study in a course in customer service.) While I acknowledge that after leaving the store, despondent and harassed, I managed to contact the customer service line to escalate the issue and to voice my concern, which was positively received yet without providing any follow-up or much a meaningful remedy but $30 GC! I still strongly insist that it is upon the companies and their senior management to take any and every measure to not only improve their customer service at the store level but also to devise ways in which proper service in any step of the retail process (including e-commerce) is maintained and facilitated!
Pants fit - new fit
Hi finally I found the perfect pants at banana republic - the perfect length fit and stretch. This was about 2 years ago. Recently I needed another pair. I went down to the store to get the exact style but when I put it on a couple of days later it was a totally different fit. It was too short, not fitted - totally different from the pair before even though it was the exact same size and style. And just to confirm I was right I measured them and lo and behold they are different. Finally I found a tiny label with numbers - which matched up exactly except on the bottom the original pair says sum21 and the new one says spr22. Meaning they switched up the fit-and i'm distraught - is there something you can do? Is there a way for you to get a hold of the old fit for me? Please, it really means a lot to me.
Thank you
Desired outcome: get me a hold of these pants
"Balance transfer not received"
The lack of process that BR has demonstrated is astounding! I have written regarding a balance transfer that did not happen with an ACH deposit within 7-10 days from request 12/08/22. No manager knew if the ACH happened or not; however, a check posted to my checking account on 01/04/23 (almost a month after the initial request). With a proper process in place I could have been informed when I inquired on 12/28/22, that a check was sent instead of an ACH. Given this information could not be found anywhere by a manager, the case that was opened by a manager, returned the check back to BR costing me a $35 returned check fee from my bank. This is appalling!
Desired outcome: Refund of $35.00
issue resolved
Could you see cameras please, store charge me and extra idem.
My email is [protected]@gmail.com , I hope somebody could help me, The manager also told me he was at lunch at the time of the issue and did not know about it. Store charge an extra idem, it was their fault and they want me to go and get the refund in person, I live so far other side of the city taking care an older person.
