I just had my fourth operation due to the crystalens failure. Bausch and Lomb takes no responsibility for their defective lenses and keeps up the back and forth until you reach the statute of limitations. I went to the best doctor in Texas, Steve Slade, and paid $4500 for one lens. He takes absolutely no responsibility for the defect and neither does Bausch & Lomb. The second surgery is difficult when they have to take it out. I wear glasses now. My left eye is now 80/20. DO NOT GET THESE LENSES! THEY ARE DEFECTIVE.

I had my first cataract surgery in October of 2017 and the second eye November. I was sold Crystal Lens as a way to have both distance and close up vision. My right clouded up first and then the second eye clouded. Had the Yag Procedure. It sent my eye pressures to the roof and my vision got worse. Had to see a Vitral Specialist. Had surgery on both eyes because vitrous jelly was on the back of my eye balls then had to have surgery by a cataract doctor on my right eye to remove trash by my lens. Found out from him that no one uses Crystal Lens anymore, if their because they quit flexing and turn hard causing foggy vision. Now why hasn't there been a class action suit on Bausch and Lomb. I could see better before the lens.

I have just had both eyes done with the crystalens and its a nightmare. Only just finding all these complaints. Both eyes are the wrong strength. Both have membrans growing. It feels like my eyes have dirt in then and they itch and are bloodshot. I can hardly go out side with out sunglasses or be in rooms with lights on as its so bright and unnatural and makes my eyes water. The dr I go to is making all sorts of excuses and they put contacts in the other day so I can see for now. He wants to do more surgeryies. I have an appointment for a second opinion and have been calling lawyers. This is so bad. I think its the lenses and the dr. Any good dr would never recommend these and if they did they would be taking them out right now, knowing that they have gone wrong. I am in pain too. Please never get these lenses. It is so sad that we cannot trust drs these days! I am so upset and hope this will help others. Stay away from them and get a good dr!

It has been two years n my eyes are worse than before--distance, medium n close----especially close. I have almost constant cloudiness with little if any help from eye drops. Restasis does not even help. Doctor never gave me the statistics on how unreliable these lenses were--only told me they were the best for me because I was athletic and was a reader n sewed. He said the worst I would end up with is I may need cheaters to thread a needle...what a disappointment. There is not a day that I have no cloudiness. Ready to join a class action suit ASAP.

I had cataract surgery in 2014 in both eyes. In my first visit to Dr. I was told if I would like to have NGLs lens which is advance technology and I will have significant of changes in my vision after the cataract surgery. Meaning I will have better vision with NGLs lens than regular lens. My insurance company will not cover the charges and it will cost me $2500.00 for each eye.
I agree to pay for that thinking, I will have better vision. It’s been less than 60 days for my Right eye surgery as of today. The clear vision is less than three feet. It was Dr. who decided CRYSTAL LENS for implant. I guess he did it. Not sure because I never show the Lens. But I know one thing that with Dr. S visit and lens cost I have paid now more than $5500.00 I would like to know if there is any class Action law suit against the false marketing for the Doctors and company?
