My account was hacked
I dire warning that Bell Alliant has been hacked and those responsible probably have your personal information as they have mine including my bank account info and who knows what else. I tried to contact them yesterday Oct 20/23 that I received a strange email claiming I signed up for direct auto pay with my bank account info I the email whichI did not. I...

My home started bundle costing $75 was due to expire in June 2023
I phoned the Loyalty Dept. The rep said they would extend my promo for 3 years.
I asked how much and he said the same price.
Two months later the bill has gone to $99 and then $129
Three phone calls later and Bell Aliant will not adress the issue. They merely say a manger will phone you. 1st phone call to them was July 11. 2nd phone call to them was July 24.
To date NO ONE has called me.
To date no one at Bell Aliant will tell me WHY they did not honour their commitment.
TP
Desired outcome: Honour your word and reinstate my pricing for the original promo and refund the excess charges
TV/PVR Service
Several years ago, my Internet Account was upgraded to the 5K network and my PVR boxes (three of them were upgraded). The service agent said at the time that my system was really old, but fortunately, I had no issues with Bell after many years with this old system. Since the new system has been installed I have had nothing but issues. I have had my PVR boxes changed at least twice a year and my TV stations almost every few weeks give me a code of 101. Besides this, my PVRs have stopped recording at least once a month. I have had to reboot my system almost every week. This has been the worse upgrade and given I am paying close to $400 a month between Internet and cell phones it is clearly not worth it. This week I have not been able to record any of my channels and now waiting for a new PVR. To make matters worse every time I contact your technical people I end up being hung up on and have to call back again. If there was another option I would be gone tomorrow. I am wondering can you do anything to help me with my situation.
Desired outcome: Rebate on all the downtime that I have had with this service. Ultimately, I would like better service but I don't think I am going to get that.
Is Bell Aliant Legit?
Bell Aliant earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for Bell Aliant. The company provides a physical address, 3 phone numbers, and 2 emails, as well as 4 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
Bellaliant.net has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.
Bellaliant.net has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.
We looked up Bell Aliant and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Bell Aliant has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 6% of 15 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Bell Aliant protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Problem with voicemail display not fixed
In December, 2021, we had upgraded Bell equipment installed. The next day our voicemail display and beeping phone line stopped working. I have called repeatedly since December 29, 2021 and they walk me through a bunch of things that do not resolve the issue. They tell me that it has to be escalated to a different group and that they will call me within 24 to 48 hours. No one calls. I have missed a couple of important messages. It is now over two months and I would like this matter resolved.
Desired outcome: To have the voicemail display and beeping phone line work when there is a new message.
Home phone
They disconnected my elderly parents home phone service without notifying them. When I contacted them they wouldn't give me the information even though they said I was on the account and answered numerous questions correct. I explained my parents don't have a cell phone and I live 4 hours away and can not contact them and they both have medical issues. My parents would not be able to contact an ambulance if they need one. They are rude and unprofessional
fibe tv, internet and home phone
I have repeatedly tried over the last 3 months to have the above mentioned 3 services installed at my home. On 3 occasions now no technician has showed up for any of the 3, 8 am-5 pm, assigned appointments nor notified me in anyway as to why the service was not going to be completed that day or why. I was given the same reason every time, we need the account number from your old home phone provider Telus. Therefore I made a point to provide this multiple times to multiple employees in the bell organization when rescheduling and calling the day before scheduled appointments to ensure they had all the information. My husband has now taken 24 hours of vacation time to be home for these installations that never happened 3 times now. I am constantly being reassured this will be resolved and I will have my services and it wont happen again but I am let down every time. How am I supposed to be trusting of this company now and let it be known I am a brand new customer. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and puts no faith in bell aliant as a well run efficient reliable company. I have been offered no compensation for the constant inconveniences to myself and my family.
bad agent
Hi, I'm a doctor, went your branch in Valley Mall in Corner Brook, NL. I returned 2 receivers, cables and 2 remote controls. The agent there has a very stupid unresectaful attetude. He spoke to me in a very condensing manner. He seemed racist. I felt very offended by his stupid way. Is this the way you train your staff. If the branch manager is caring about...

They need to update when there isn't internet available in my area. When you call to order it, they say available. Then wait around all day for the tech to show up, and he doesn't. Call Bell Aliant, and they say not available after waiting around all day. This has happened 4 times in a year. Very frustrating to say the least. This day and age there shouldn't be any problems with congested lines. Especially when you live 10 minutes from towers. They need to upgrade the lines.
phone and internet
Let me start of by saying we are with bell over 30 years. Over this passed week my wife has spoken to at least 20 people concerning our service. I am sure that there are many great people with bell who know bells system but there are more who should never work there. Every time your call you get someone diff. And who knows less. My wife was spoken to very rudely by your people. When she asked a question to one guy named john he asked her if the sky was blue. I dont know why I am wasteing my time writing this email because you people must get these complaints all the time., so I dont expect to be called back any time soon but maybe I will be wrong. To shorten this story let me say that we have our phone and internet service with bell and our tv with rogers at this time. With rogers over 30 years. I will make short sentenences to explain. We were paying for ultra high speed internet using the speed stream 6520 gateway. No fibre optics. My son says the system was slow because he was getting week signals and losing conection while using skype. He knew what the speeds were supposed to be. My wife called and spoke to many people who did not know what they were talking about. Everything got confused and appointments were made and then when she called they said they were canceled. I cant write any more because I would use 5000thousand words or more and this still would not tell you what we went through. I you really want to solve this problem please call me at [protected]. Just wanted to add one more comment. They sent us a knew modem model gt784wn. To solve our internet speed problems. The package was marked for back in august month and we never even ordered this item and they cant tell us who did. Now they tell us that our service was down graded but cant tell us why. Maybe by the time you respond to this or not we may have swiched to rogers. Regards

I am a senior and make 586.66 old age pension a month. 2015 a person came to our house representing Bell and because of the cost I changed over. I was with Bell years before and wasn't happy with it but because of this representative I decided to give them a second chance. I was told I would have free long distance after 6:00 (because that's what I already had) and it would not change, the satellite bundle would. I received e-mails but never could open them and didn't bother because I had assumed there would be no change. I called this month because I had 2 or 3 phone calls before 6 so I knew it would be a little more and I was shocked that it said I owed 432.50. I was told in no uncertain terms that my free long distance after 6:00 would always be there - otherwise I wouldn't have changed. There is not way I can afford 432.50 and I feel I was really mislead. Talked to a couple of people and couldn't get thru their head that when I was told I'd have free long distance after 6:00 at the same price why would I bother to look at the bill. I then checked Canada's largest telecoms group, Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE), has reported that its total revenues grew 1.0% to CAD21.719 billion (USD16.686 billion) in full-year 2016, whilst adjusted EBITDA rose 2.8% to CAD8.788 billion and net income attributable to common shareholders jumped 14.6% to CAD2.894 billion. This Business Is Not BBB Accredited
Bell Canada Feb 3, 2017 Factors that affect the rating for Bell Canada include:
436 complaints filed against business
Failure to respond to 3 complaints filed against business.
6 complaints filed against business that were not resolved. Between the Better Business Bureau not accredited Bell (which is shameful) and the profits you make if you expect to have a senior pay 432.50 on money I don't have - because I believed a representative from Bell. ( I kept all the notes that I wrote down when he told me this) so I guess it's a he said she said. I am not lying and I think he just wanted to make a sale. I want you to fix this asap, with your profits I would hope you'd be able to fix this but if you can't even be approved by the Better Business Bureau - well you really need to change something.. Thank you.
tv and bundle billing
Bell aliant is billing me for a non existing service.
I put my account on vacation on january 7/2018 while I was out of the country. I returned home to halifax in february and put it back in service.
I phoned bell aliant on february 27 one put it back on vacation. I then left the country and returned on april 14/2018. I went into bellaliant sales
Office on or about may 3 and paid the bill in full. I was then told that my bill was going to be $154 per month plus tax.
I told bell aliant that I was going to another provider.
Also at that time when my tv was on let was stated on the screen that that. Account is unavailable client has been deleted.
I took a picture of the tv screen as proof.
I then went to another supplier and signed up with them.
Yesterday I got a bill from bell aliant for $ 231.22. This for a service that has been that is unavaible and a account that has been deleted.
In addition, included in the billing was a late payment charge of $ 6.67.
This is a outrageous interest charge that needs to be reported as well.
I want bell aliant to delete those charges and intend to see that it is done. Their equipment was returned to them on may 15.
Thank you, anthony power. My bell aliant account was 3982611 0 and the phone number connected to that account is [protected]
internet
Spoke to two of their customer service agents today to see about setting up internet service with them after canceling our previous account which is in my ex's name. The line I contacted both times was the customer retention line. I was laughed at and hung up on by the first rep I was speaking with. The second then put me through the ringer to get any information. She ran a credit check, wanted employer information and landlord information! All before providing me with the same 'deal' that is on the website. Once I was not happy with the 'retention deal' she proceeded to get upset that I would not commit to the service. After asking for her name again since it was now an hour after we first started speaking she refused to answer me and hung up on me. Great client service from Bell once again. Someone please bring another internet provider to Nova Scotia!
false advertiseing
Attention Mr. Jim Myers senior vice- president customer service Bell Canada
As a customer of Bell since 1989 and of the former N.B. tel since 1950, in the past I have been treated fairly by the company but on my last cell phone purchase I was told that after a certin length of time I was entitled to a free up grade. I dont want an upgrade all I want is a phone that works . When I contacted a Bell service store I was told that yes I was entitled to an up grade but I would have to pay $130.00 plus $35.00 activation fee. I will not pay for something that was supposed to be a free up grade. I pay $173.00 per month for one service from bell and $87.00 per month for another that may not matter to Bell if they lose a customer but if all the dis satisfied customers ralleyed and moved their buisness to another server what would all the SHAREHOLDERS of BELL STOCK reaction be, I believe JIM MYERS might be looking for other employment. I for one have had enough WHAT ABOUT ALL YOU OTHER DIS SATISFIED loyal customers . It seems that recently around the world others are switching their loyalty. I know I have other alternatives.
Thanks for listening . ( P.S. it is probably very important that you do)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I also have recently changed from Bell Satellite service to the New Fibre Op "bundle". They also took the liberty of attaching my Bell cell phone to one bill. Since April 2012, not ONE bill has come to me with the correct amount showing. One month Bell Aliant DID not place my cell on the forward bill and I asked why it was so low? Their answer, "Pay a little more this month so the shock will not be as huge when it does come in" They neglected, to this day, to tell me what that cellular bill was for the questioned month. I have used their E Chat online, twice, I have emailed their customer service center (5 times) and have called their customer service line (3 times) and I just got the verification of the bill yesterday, WITHOUT a copy of the cell bill as I am told "That is another department" Are they not all owned by the one conglomerate? Piss poor service, unknowledgeable staff on the phone and endless ENDLESS promises of a solution that NEVER have been satisfied to date. They just want to record the problem and get you off the phone or E Chat as quickly as possible. When April 2013 comes, I will be a figment of their imagination and NEVER buy any products from Bell, Bell Aliant or any company associated with them! I am a lost customer Bell and Bell Aliant and I can only presume I am one of many to follow.
If poor, slow service is what you want, I would recommend Bell/Aliant. Moved into my new place a month ago and still have no phone nor internet. Numerous calls have produced numerous excuses. The usual excuse is, "it wasn't scheduled". Have talked directly to
managers twice without result. Bad service and expensive.
NOT GIVING THE INTERNET SERVICE THAT I PAY FOR.
I am tired of complaining to Bellaliant about my Internet speed dropping and stalling my downloads to a complete stand still. After sever techs and complaints and having a band aid put on the problem; I have finally made the decision to switch to Eastlink. I just hope that their Internet, Phone and TV service is better than Bellaliant. Bell finally admitted in an email that the lines are monitored automatically and if they become stressed or overloaded the speed is dropped to spread the service and load. The company flatly denied this on several occassions in the past. Now with the introduction of Netflix.ca into Canada, Bellaliant and Rogers have openly said that they would be reducing the amount of time and speed of the downloads in order to offer at addional cost a service that will stream the movies. I am already paying $55 a month for a service that should be sufficient to stream the broadband movies. If Eastlink does not offer any better service then I will be going to Satelite. I have read several complaints on the site about Eastlink service and rude customer support reps. But, as a consumer, I have the power and the choice to disconnect and move on. Attached is a pic of some graphs taken of the Bellaliant download speeds that shows the incredible dips in the speed. Surprisingly though since Friday, Oct 22, when I called Bellaliant and told them I was disconnecting from their service and going to Eastlink, the speed and streaming have improved even when running a movie from Netflix.ca. Amazing! But I am still switching to Eastlink in hopes of getting better download speeds that will be more steady and consistent. The package I had with Bellaliant was for Phone and Internet at 7mbs download at a cost of $115 a month by the time the little extra charges and taxes were added on. With Eastlink I am getting a bundle for $107 for one year with free phone service and then increasing to $126 at the end of the year. And that is for TV, Interent with up to 15mbs, double what Bellaliant offered for close to the same cost, plus phone service which is free for the first year. Time will tell as to which company offers the best service for almost the same dollar value. Customer service I can do something about. I record all of my communications and if I get a rude service rep, there will be a complaint filed with a transcript and a voice recording. As well, I can request to speak to another rep or a supervisor. These are my rights as a consumer. I don't have to put up with inferior service or impolite service reps. See the attached photo of the graphs for a speed download comparison. The dips were so low that the computer came to a complete stop.
Just wanted to share with you all a post I made to #BellAliant . Anyone out there considering BellAliant, learn from my experience.
I'd like anyone visiting this page to be aware of the scam of a company #BellAliant is. I currently have High Speed Ultra which is of course up to 7Mbps down and 640Kbps up. I am consistently receiving connections under 5Mbps down and am being told that they are acceptable speeds. I used to live in British Columbia and was paying for #Shaw Nitro which is 100Mbps down and 5Mbps up here is a screen shot from the service I was provided by #Shaw . (http://www.speedtest.net/result/4266444604.png ) The service I was being provided exceeded my expectations. Now here in NL with a different company I am being told that my connection is acceptable. Bellow is a response I received via email. She also went to the extent of being condescending to me and telling me they could just put my services to Basic. This is unacceptable and insulting. #BellCanada
