I started dealing with BestUsed AutoParts on June 23, 2022 when I posted an ad for a 2016 Kia Forte 1.8L engine
I started dealing with BestUsed AutoParts on June 23, 2022 when I posted an ad for a 2016 Kia Forte 1.8L engine. A guy named Mike from BestUsed AutoParts texted me about the engine and sent me an email. On June 24, 2022, Mike sent me an invoice stating the price of $2300.00 with a warranty. I refused the price and asked for $2000.00 with the warranty. Mike needed to talk to his manager about the price, and he called me with another offer of $2100.00, which included tax and shipping with a warranty. I asked Mike who would pay for the returning shipping if the engine was bad. Mike said BestUsed AutoParts would pay for it, but the engine was good, so I wouldn't have to send back the motor.
I was told to make a down payment of $1850.00, which I paid, and I asked Mike for an invoice. I received the invoice on June 25, 2022, for $1850.50, but when I checked my bank statement on June 28, 2022, I noticed that SD had taken $1905.50, which was $55.95 more than the invoice statement. I asked Mike on June 28, 2022, who SD was, and he said SD was a company dealing with the bank for BestUsed AutoParts. I didn't receive the tracking number until June 30, 2022. The carrier was Polite Freight, and their phone number was [protected], and the tracking number was [protected]. Polite Freight said the engine was no good.
Mike kept calling me about the final payment on July 1, 2022, and I asked him why SD couldn't get the final payment. Mike said the company was having problems with the system and couldn't draw money, so he came with PayPal, and he was very upset. Mike texted me every day from July 1, 2022, to July 9, 2022. I didn't receive the motor until July 11, 2022. The mechanic and I were there when the motor was delivered, and the motor was damaged. The delivery man told us to call BestUsed AutoParts.
I called Mike and told him the motor was damaged, and the delivery man said to call SDAP. I asked Mike about SDAP, and he said not to worry, he was handling it. I immediately sent Mike a picture of the damaged motor, and he said to exchange parts from my old motor to the new motor. I said no, and Mike said to try it and ask the mechanic. The mechanic said it was okay, but they were not responsible for the damage.
After calling Mike, I didn't hear from him or anyone from BestUsed AutoParts to answer my call, and it's now August 10, 2022. I called BestUsed AutoParts, and Miguel said Mike needed to file a claim to get started on a new engine.
