Well god really got me this time. I fell for the 'live forever' and 'burn in hell' lines that they advertise all the time. My god (no pun intended) it was the biggest bunch of horse ### I've ever been fed in my life! This bible ### is pissing me right the ### off! Such total ### this guy spews! I want all the time I spent reading that back! I have never seen such a jealous, worthless, stupid thing in my life. I now have. Save yourself and don't fall for the 'live forever' and the 'burn for eternity' ###. It's all a bunch of lies.

Some of the comments here would make me think God was a scam too, if his followers acted this way. But of course if you read the New Testament you'll learn that we are not only asked to be ready to give a reason for the hope that we have, but to do it with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15) I'm saying that for the benifit of the other commenters more than you, as you say you have read the Bible. I don't know if some of the people who commented are really Christians or not. Yeah, you can be saved and really act like a jerk. I'm glad that God accepts us even when we're ignorant and wrong...and works patiently in our lives to change us gradually, and forgives us when we fall. It can make it hard for outsiders to see what Christian life is really supposed to be about though, with all of us on this journey and yet far so far from the goal.
I spent a long time really frustrated with God too...but after that time was over I could see why God took me through it. Or at least part of the reason.

Ok, I am back - and I have been asked to show you god! (all capitalizations or lack thereof are intended - it goes hand in hand with the meaning of what I am saying - its a hint!)
Anyway, drum roll please - I will now show you god. You must do one thing, and one thing only, to view god. That one thing is this - do not be blind.
If you have successfully not been blind, you will notice that you are somewhere. That you are somewhere is a miracle. That there is a somewhere for you to be in is a miracle. Now look outside - at the earth and the sky and the stars. Do you see it? What you are looking at is that which created you - and that which will destroy you eventually. What you are looking at is god. Knowing this, how much do you think it cares about you? How much can it care about anything? This, then, is the one god that could unite the world - if the world desired to be united. It doesn't require faith, it doesn't require prayer, it doesn't care and is completely unknowing about you and I and everyone else that ever lived - to a point. You and I are made of it - hence, it is made of you and I - hence, my thoughts are its thoughts, your thoughts are its thoughts. Do you see where this is going - you and I are representatives of god - we are a part of it, hence what we want and do are part of it. When I am looking at you I am looking at a piece of nature that has miraculously become consious - you are the planet earth, standing there, looking at yourself and wondering what you are - and finding the truth - that you are dirt and water, hard to believe. Well believe it folks - it is right in front of your eyes.
So you see, everything I say can be proven - see, I just proved it. Proved it again - ha! And there again. And there.

Planet earth would disolve in a flash without order as would the rest of the universe. Scientists have reported 1000's of things that could destroy this planet and everything on it over a millisecond change in the order of the universe. The order of everything, the perfect balance to maintain our solar system speaks for an intelligence, not an accident. As to people, we have changed over and over again to our own demise in wars, anarchy, degradation etc. The tone of conversation in this blog renders little respect for another human being, regardless of their opinions. Civil conversation do not demean others to make a statement or point. Nor does it lift up the person demeaning others. Lovefist, I understand what you say. My whole life I have been discriminated against because of my belief that "God" does not exist. I kept it to myself at first, but when the religious start trying to convert you every single second of the day, telling you their passion for a "God" you simply don't believe exists, thats when I turn the table. I will not be silent and have people shove their religion down my throat. I will speak my passion.
