I think your searching for God and your disappointed that you havent found him. The bible says For God so loved the world that who so ever BELIEVES in him would would not parish but have ever lasting life. You simply ask him into your heart and to for give your sins. He truely loves more then you could ever know. God has done many amazing things in my life. The advantage is mine living for him, Iv seen alot of people that are not perfect in the church, just forgiven. Any way hes closer then you think

many people have a lot of things to say but there's nothing coming out. i understand some of you all views on God by the way some Christians act. But a lot people are always saying Christians are always judging some are but not all. Because they talk about Christ and God dosen't mean they don't care about your salvation. It's funny how some people think they are smart because they use a few big words or even cuss words to make themselves feel good. Or even talk about God or the people of God like they were trash. Sounds like some people have self esteem issue. You would rather believe you came from nothing and when you die you become nothing so you are saying your life is nothing is nothing that's very smart really come on. So when people are talking about God in hope you would get some understanding of you are and why you are here maybe then you will start seeing truth. Instead of being small minded and harsh think for once in your life. you talk about the bible being wrote by men, but yet you believe what other men tell you someone sounds a little like a hypocrite.

I might not can prove that God is real. I can tell you that I do believe in him. I also do not know what has happened in your live or what hasn't happened to make you feel this way. I will not judge you just like I hope you don't judge me.
When I was in my teens I was at church every time I could get there. I rode a van, walked, rode my bike then finally I drove there. I babysat in the nursery and I watched my youth directors children. I couldn't get enough of God I wanted to be as close as I could to him I wanted to learn more everyday. I looked up to the adults there including my youth director and his wife. In my youthful eyes my life was perfect!
It was all going great I had my life planed out all until my youth director decided that it was his place to molest me. He would rub his hands all over me, try to make me kiss him in the choir room, would grab my butt and just make my skin crawl. I didn't have my family there and didn't know what to do but try to stay away from him. I finally went and told the preacher about it in confidence. In return he held a deacons meeting about it and the out come was for me to leave the church!
On my 18th birthday the adult youth leaders and the youth directors wife came out to me in the parking lot of the church before Sunday night service and told me to get back in my car that I was no longer welcome there.
So I left and went wild started going out and partying. I ended up pregnant at 18 and lost. I also ended up in I very, very, very bad relationship and had another baby at age 20. I got out of the relationship with a protective order, my kids and a car. We stayed in our car for 2 months parked at a place where they have weekend flea markets. After about 3 days when we woke in the morning there would be a gas can full of gas, fruit, diapers and other things for us. I never saw anyone and we were never harmed in anyway. I finally got on my feet and started buying I house and my boys and I are doing great now. But, in all that time days, weeks, months and years I never stopped believing in God. He never once let my kids go hungry and some how I managed to pay my bills and keep us happy and safe. I was only able to do it with his love and help from the angles he sent my way.
So once again I might not be able to prove to YOU that God is real. In my heart and in my life he is with me everyday. I hope that you find peace within yourself one day.

WOW. I just read this whole thread. it's amazing how God makes some people feel good and some people are just...evil. people sit behind their computers trying to validate how they feel and what they think to others. some are nice, some spew filth for no obvious reason. everyone has a reason for believing the way they do. the one post that explained the concept of Christianity was the one from JennTX. it just comes down to belief. it's funny how people will disavow God and attribute all of the pain and suffering on Him but never on people that make the choices to do evil. There is a Satan. There is something out there that does not want for you to know God and does not want for you to be a part of His plan. And that entity is [for lack of a better word] ecstatic that these people choose not to follow God. What else in life makes you want to be a better person? when you fall in love with someone, or if you have a friend, family member that you are close with or if you have a pet that is just the best, that warm fuzzy feeling is about LOVE. and God is love. And the only way that that feeling can last forever is with God. Try other things, religions and see if they make you feel complete. It may work for a little bit but in the end, it all fades away. the only lasting thing is God. No one can explain the bad things in life. I wish i could but i can't. i'm not perfect, never will be on this earth. i can only believe that God knows what He is doing. I just hope that one day you find out and it's not too late.

Actually, very little can be proven 100%. Everything is only as accurate as you want to believe. Any good religion is about choice and faith. If you choose not to believe, too bad for you. I wont say i feel badly if you go to hell. It was your choice. Of course we cannot prove anything 4000 years ago. Heck, there are tons of issues we cant prove - we can't prove evolution, that carbon dating is accurate, that we are alone in the physical universe, that there was an earth 100 million years ago (see carbon dating), that there was no Adam or Eve (see evolution), that symmetry is finite (look at the super collider), that there is no dark matter, antigravity waves, we thiink we know it all, we don't even know a fraction of what is unknown. The simple statement of "I forgot more than you will ever know..." which is true, but powerful. How do we know that there is no god? Who said that you should understand his/her motovation, grand scheme, or how he/she takes or does not take a crap? How foolishly arrogant are you?

I believe that the reason for all the suffering in this world is due to our disobedience with God and freewill. Adam and Eve were not human like us, They fell from Eden and into mortality by sinning. Since they willingly chose to sin they chose to break away from the protection of God. Satan was Gods fav angel . But Satan got jealous when God made man and he became rebellious and he tempted Adam and eve and tricked them into mortality.
The devil has never been human he has always been an angel and he became a fallen angel as punishment .

to destroy all of God's children and the devil does not want us to be like how Jesus was. God banned us from Eden and they no longer had the protection or safety. Of being taken care of like small children. On earth adam and eve had to learn to survive and they gained the knowledge of good and evil and the suffering and joys that come with that knowledge and our free will. God did not want us to disobey him and he wanted us to live next to him in his presence and care in Eden.
God made us in his image and since god is all possible intelligence and creator of life, man is like the one who made us, That is why we are able to reproduce children and create things on Earth. That is why some people think they are god but they don't realize we were made in his very image because God was lonely and he made. Man to enjoy the things God has created because God wants us to enjoy things Ike music, art, Love. And everything thaty is wonderful about life. God did not want us to die ever but aftert adam and eve sinned they were sinful and They could no longer live forever. God did not make this world for sinners he made it for his children. God has no control over us becauseo if he did we would lose our free will . People suffer and children die not because God doesn't care but because that is what Adam and eve chose for themselves and. Their children. Earth is not Eden, Satan is the ruler of death and that is why there is so much evil on earth. We wanted free will we got it, and everything that comes with it. God has no power over us because of this and he allows for each human to control their own life and make their own choices, this opens the way for Satan to spread his evil influence over the Earth and to turn us against God, did I just write a book on this ? Hope someone shares my views on this ;)

I forgot to add that God has not turned his back on us, we have to prove to God that we are his children and the only way is for us to lead good lives, believe in Him. God is perfect, he made us perfectly, just look at how amazing humans are, we only use like what 10% of our brains, for a reason because too much knowledge is not compatible with this reality . Only God knows things we don't but to look at the stars and space and all the glory of science and to deny God is to deny the fact that we are living on a spinning planet that is floating in space orbiting the sun as if life itself is not unbelievable!

The worst part of religions is that in order to believe and have faith, you have to turn off your thought processes and turn on the Gullible switch. This in turn leads to a bunch of people who are honestly not thinking, following some charismatic character who is also completely off the deep end.
Face it you believers, you boneheads, you dangerous people. You do not have a shred of faith in your religion - in order to have faith, you must have an understanding of your reality. None of you have a valid understanding of your reality. You were spoon fed a belief system, that belief system being whatever was most common in the area on the planet where you were born. You don't have any faith, you don't have any belief, that was not given to you by someone else.
But let me tell you that I do know the absolute truth - I know the one true god. The one that was there in the beginning, the one that is there now, and the one that will always be. The truth is that the universe is god - god is all things, literally. Nature is god, the planet is god, you are a part of god, forever inseparable. Everything is part of god, forever inseparable.

Let me tell you about the god that is all around you every second of every instant - the god that is completely ignored by virtually everyone.
The one true god is not consious - any consiousness it has is via its creations - us or other intelligent life elsewhere. That's right, you are gods consiousness. The one true god has no emotions, no goals, no visions, no single being, no wrath, no human traits whatsoever. The one true god is all things at all times - creator and destroyer, light and dark, earth, sky, water, wind. It exists in everything, and its only law is that all things must change, all the time, forever. You cannot ever be separated from it - ever, regardless of your belief or faith or acts or deeds or thoughts. Put simply, you exist in god - you are living in god right now. Everything that you are made of is a part of god, and because matter cannot be lost, only converted to energy and vice versa, so will you.
Now let me tell you the truth about gods plan - and I can prove all of it easily. god has no plan. Regarding judgement day - it will come, but not like any of those ridiculous books you read tell about it. Judgement day will come down to the following, and it is one judgement for the entire species, not one for each of us...
Someday in the future, as it has many times in the past, a meteor or comet or super volcanoe or some other natural disaster will one day visit our planet. On that day, if mankind has not achieved completely independent colonies on some other planet, then we will be judged unworthy to live, and our species will end. If we have created completely independent colonies on some other planet, then we will be judged worthy to live.
This is easily verifiable, as you can see at least one giant crater in Arizona. You can also see that Jupiter has been hit at least three times in the last 15 years, the first one being a 6 mile wide chunk of material that would certainly be the last thing any of us would ever see if it landed here instead.
You see, the real god does not care - it can't care. The real god and its behavior is visible for everyone to see, and most to ignore in favor of some complete nonsense written by some tribesman a few thousand years ago. The real god has galaxies collide, destroying billions of stars and planets, and does not care at all - it can't care, its not consious. Is this evil - nope. Is this a bad thing - nope. Is this normal - yep. Can we expect to be treated as harshly - absolutely. What you see is what you get - see the bird, see the sky, see the mountain - this is proof of god. See yourself in a mirror - this is proof of god. You are here, so obviously god created you.
Now let me give you the truth regarding an afterlife. Again, if you are willing to use the brain god gave you, you will know this is the truth - if not, then you will continue to ignore god and trod along in your borrowed faith, never knowing the truth, and continuing to be a danger to everyone else on the planet. You will continue to believe in miracles, when the miracle is all around you at every second of the day - all around you and completely ignored.
Here then is the miracle - that there is a here is completely miraculous. Consider this place called here. Where exactly do you think it exists. Where does the entire universe exist? What is it contained in? I will give you a hint - if you keep allowing yourself to observe the real universe, you will come to the conclusion that all of reality, everything that is, at some point, it all washes up on the shores of a beach that does not even exist. Its all floating in the middle of nothing - do you see that, can you grasp that. That everything that is, is at some point completely abstract - its nothing more than an idea floating somewhere that does not exist. In other words, everything that is, is magic. Is a miracle. In every second of every day, a complete miracle.
So, knowing the truth about the whole of our reality - how hard would it be to accept that there may be some kind of existence after death. Keep in mind that your existence now is completely improbable - improbable in the extreme. Life after death would be no more improbable than your life right now. It would be a "so what" event when compared to the life you have now. In other words, it wouldn't be surprising at all that an afterlife exists - it would be no more nor less probable than the life we have now.
So, I am about done now. Lock and load. I and the real god, of which you are a part, take on all challenges, all of your boneheaded, limited perspective, borrowed, non-faith, non-belief, ridiculous, lazy, dangerous, sheep like, peer pressured, ignorant, blind and way beyond the stage where it should even be entertained by rational people, religious comments.
Go for it - make my day. And remember, I can show you god, I can show you its behavior. you can see it all for yourself - all you have to do is look at it. Take some time out from that bible study to study something that actually matters - to study the one thing that actually has a bearing on your life - to study the miracle of reality.
And in parting, let me piss a ton of you off even more - you deserve it, though, for being so lazy and ignorant and so god awful willing to simply turn off your god given senses and just go with the majority of people down the road of borrowed beliefs and faithless faith. Until you take the time to observe your reality, you are simply accepting the default religion in your area as the truth - again, you are lazy, lazy, lazy and ignorant. And you will be the reason why we aren't off the planet when judgement day arrives. You will be so busy arguing that your god is the real god, no my god is the real god, no, mine is, etc, ad infinitum, that you won't be paying attention to the actual and real and only god that matters.
And for all you fanatic muslim/islamic boneheads. See the bird, see the sky, see the mountain - this is proof of my existence. Exactly. Now quit killing gods creations - what do you think god would think about you killing of its people without even trying to convert them? Do you think it created us for your sport? Do you think for one moment that you are not me? That I am not you? That collectively, we are all, all of us. And also keep in mind that the only reason you still exist, is because we are not like you. If we were, your entire population would have been butchered long, long ago.
And for all of you christian boneheads - the real god is told about in the bible. You just have to know how to read it. While reading it, remove any references to god having emotions, visions, desires, goals, wraths, judgements, beliefs, love, compassion, hatred, punishments or a plan. What you are left with is an accurate, although complely constrained, description of god. The actual god is much more powerful than the one told of in that book - the actual god would never be contained in a box of gold, for example.
So, remember, when you consider how god could allow a child to be born with its heart outside of its body, understand the truth therein. god does not care about the details - if it keeps changing, its golden. When a person or animal is born with more than one head (and brain, consiousness, etc). god does not care. Not a whit, not one little bit - unless you care. If you care, then some part of god cares. Your part. Will caring matter in the great scheme of things - nope, not a bit. Will jesus matter? Nope - I doubt he even existed. But even if he did, he only matters if the majesty and power and total awe inspiring, and mostly completely ignored, whole of reality isn't enough for you.
And finally, I did not arrive where I am today simply. I took the time most of you haven't, to study almost all world religions. I have read the quran, the bible, the mormon bible, the old testament, the new testament. I have read about kali, about budah, about the torah, etc. And I have used my god given senses to discern the truth from the fiction. They are all full of crap (other than the budah - his was a valid assessment and one way of dealing with the actual true god). The rest are crap - completely through and through, and will almost certainly be the anchor that prevents us from dealing with the actual, one and true god.

I just find the whole product line baffling.

1. False advertising. Why does an all-knowing all-powerful diety need my praise and adoration? What does he need it FOR?

2. Confusing instructions. 10 rules that must never be broken. But then his top PR representative (probably an illegal, judging by his name) tells us that they can be broken so long as it serves man. What gives?

3. Worst Customer Service Ever. I tried praying, but either the lines were all busy, or no one was manning the connection on the other end. I tried leaving a message. 20+ years and still nothing.

4. Abysmal Cancellation Policies. It's literally hell.

5. Bad Franchising. Seriously. Too many brands. For an institution that uses the same training manual throughout, you'd think they could at least standardize their operating procedures. Consumers should not have to choose between wearing brand-name underwear or anointing themselves with the same stagnant water every other customer has had their hands in. The wine is a bonus (where available), but the portions leave much to be desired.

Terrible practices. Will not be patronizing these establishments again.
