I bought their headlite for $99. It broke in under 60 days. They never responded to my concerns, and they deleted my review of their product.
I got a BioLite Baselantern XL as a present
I got a BioLite Baselantern XL as a present. After using it lightly for around 18 months, the lantern suddenly stopped charging. I checked out some reviews on different websites and it seems like this is a pretty common problem. BioLite didn't want to fix it or give me a new one. Considering how pricey this product is, I expected better from BioLite. Based on my own experience, I wouldn't suggest buying BioLite products.

I bought a Biolite Base Lantern but it never worked. I needed it for a camping trip, but it's been two weeks and the issue hasn't been resolved. They replied to my initial complaint about the defective light, suggesting that I reset it, change the cable, and charge the unit. I had already tried these steps, but the unit is still defective. It's now the second week, and I still don't have a working light. I suggest buying from Amazon or another store with a return policy, not the Biolite Store. Maybe they'll improve once people start sharing their experiences.

I saved my money for a whole year to get the Biolite Home 620. When it arrived, it was totally dead. I reached out to customer service and they said I could keep the first one and they would send a replacement. After a few weeks, I contacted them again and they said it was on back order and would take a few more weeks. The person I talked to seemed rude and sarcastic in their email. In the end, I just asked for a refund and they gave it to me quickly. I'm really disappointed because I was really excited about not coming home in the dark. I kept all the conversations with the representative, maybe I'll print them out and send them to the company so they can see how rude they were to me. Now I'm back to square one with no solar light. It's a shame because I really wanted to save up for the fire pit this year :(

My experience with BioLite has been terrible so far. It seems like they only show positive reviews online because my recent review, which they confirmed via email as posted, is nowhere to be found. I ordered the FirePit Bundle, but all I received after waiting for three weeks and paying for shipping were some accessories from ***. I called *** and they claim it was shipped and delivered. So basically, I'm out $400 and all I have to show for it is a fire stick, a bag, and a fancy mat. I've emailed BioLite, but all I got was an automated reply saying I have to wait 3-4 business days for a response. Their phone number doesn't even answer. This is just terrible service. If the product wasn't so expensive, I wouldn't expect much, but considering the high prices they charge, you would think they would provide better customer service.

I bought the BioLite FirePit new in Sept. 2018 at the end of our camping season to take with us in our RV. I didn't need to use it until June . I gotta say, it worked great and was easy to set up. We had some damp wood from the campground, but the FirePit managed to keep the wood burning and the smoke was minimal. I didn't need to use the FirePit again until Sept. 2020. The FirePit power pack seemed to be dead. Mind you, I had charged it up before putting it away after the last use. I tried charging it up for a campfire later in the evening, but it wouldn't take a charge. So, we ended up having no campfire that night. When I got home, I opened a service request with Biolite. It took them 14 days to respond. My bad, I sent a bunch of follow-up emails asking for a response. When they finally responded, their solution was to try pushing the hidden reset button and then wait to see if the power pack would charge up. It's been sitting for several days now and it's still dead. I responded back to them with my results after trying the reset button. It's been three days and I haven't gotten a response. According to their website, my unit is out of warranty. Other reviews I've read say they don't have replacement power packs or parts, and they don't do repairs either. So now, I have a FirePit that has only been used once, still looks new, and is completely useless. I would think that something that costs $250 to $300 would last more than one use and, if taken care of, could last for several years. Until Biolite improves their service offerings, I can't recommend this product to anyone.

I bought a product from BioLite on 12/as a Christmas gift, but I never got it. When I tried to track the package, it said it was waiting for *** to pick it up. I followed up multiple times and asked for a refund twice. It seems like the product was never even shipped. I just want my order refunded.

I ordered a $150 solar home 620 unit in April this year. When I got it, I opened the box and found that the unit doesn't work. I tried charging it for 2 days straight, but it still doesn't work. I contacted BioLite many times. I spoke to Katie and she said she would send the replacement unit when it becomes available in June. However, I never received anything, so I emailed them back. I guess my case got misplaced because she said it's been hectic there. She said she would send a headlamp as a compensation for the wait, along with the tracking number for the replacement solar home unit. I contacted the *** and they said the tracking number was created by BioLite, but the package has not been received by the post office. Now Katie or anyone is not responding.

I bought four BioLite 330 headlamps from BioLite for Christmas presents. I ordered them on Dec. , which was the last day for holiday deliveries. It took a while for them to process my order, charge my card, and make a label. After a few days, it was clear that BioLite wouldn't ship the headlamps on time, so I bought them from a local store instead. I asked to cancel my order, but they said it was too late. The headlamps arrived after the holidays, just like I expected. They said they would send me a shipping label for a return, but I got tired of waiting. I sent the headlamps back, and BioLite received them on Jan. *. The website says returns take 3 days to process, but I'm still waiting for my money. Customer service stopped answering my questions about when I'll get a refund. The website says they take up to 48 hours to respond, but in my experience, they stop responding as soon as you're unhappy with their bad customer service.
