Hello my name is S Garcia I am the mother of K FURTADO. On Wednesday September 20th 2023 about 4:34 p.m. to 4:35 p.m. no later I arrived to pick up my son from after school at the boys & girls club where he attends pre-k program through BPS up program, I arrived 4 to 5 minutes late I was at the traffic light by Burger King no one called me to ask if I was close or contacted my emergency contact perlite protocol on their policy. I was talked to with attitude and aggression by the vice President Maria contello who I did not know was the vice president of the building and the program as school just started September 11th 2023. May I also add before we continue I had my son who I was picking up there on her approach it was very aggressive her demeanor was very strong and very unprofessional as a vice president. She was the aggressor and the antagonizer and was very intimidating and unprofessional and very rude she was very much inappropriate in front of my son and many of the parents and teachers and follow staff in a public lobby with no privacy and she is the vice president of the facility she made the environment very unsafe upon approach for me and my child as he is a child and a disabled child and she's supposed to make sure it is a safe haven for parents and children and lead with presidency it was just so very unprofessional and needs to be immediately addressed especially that she is the vice president and supposed to represent my son's new school with presidency leadership and her behavior was very unacceptable for me as a mother and my child and doesn't know any of my history as a person or anything about me and her tone can trigger a lot of things medically with me as I am a former domestic violence survivor I hate aggression or yelling it triggers me I am trying to digest this I have never ever encountered such unprofessionalism like this especially in her vice president position they way she spoke to me in front of others and my child for being 4 to 5 mins late. I'm just still shocked and wow this is how a vice president approaches a parent and adult in front of their child and staff where my son attend school at please see audio cameras in the lobby on September 20th Wednesday 2023 about 4:34 to 4:35 roughly will say 4:34 to 4:45. Everything I am about to say is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge as I have supporting video audio cameras in the school lobby, I also have supporting emails illegal fraudulent reports to DCF to c11 BPS station police report illegal axle retaliation for contacting my place of employment who is my son's emergency contact she had no right to contact my place of employment as I am a public official and I work Community Health center where I take care patients. She then must know someone in HR put some strengths I got a final write-up for something that happened at my son's school wasn't work related wasn't on work grounds whether they donated or not that was illegal and reached my confidentiality me and my child that is like me calling a patient's employer on an emergency contact and tell them what happened and I taking care of patient that is against HIPAA laws as well.
I have encountered acts of illegal disenrollment of my son and print pre-kindergarten thru BPS and after school program with the boys and girls club. I have encountered acts of Retaliation, discrimination on every level from the senior VP B Scannell and VP M Contello, discrimination of my son's disability needs and special needs, I have encountered dealing with fraud and illegal reporting of police reports that weren't needed I have dealt with a false report to the department of social services where I never abandoned or neglected my son. I have encountered these people who are employees at these facility to try to get me terminated from my place of employment I have a final write-up.
I'm going to explain a little bit about what happened to me and my son kemahni Furtado date of birth 7/11/19 who was just in road for the Pre-K BPS universal program with the boys and girls satellite and after school as well with the boys and girls club. On or about September 20th Wednesday at 4:34 4:35 p.m. I was picking up my son I was running four to five minutes late I was at the traffic light on Burger King at Dorchester Ave no one called and say hey Seanna are you close. But I was literally right there at the light it's a lot of traffic on Freeport where we're by the highway in Morrissey boulevard. So when I arrived between 4:34 and 4:35 pick up time is at 4:30 so technically I was only 45 minutes late and I just ran in hey sorry I'm late kimani was with a lady I did not know she was the vice president. When I walked up to her I apologize hey I'm 45 minutes late I was stuck at the light let me sign him out. The lady who I had no clue was the vice president I didn't know her name and I worked with her an email when a rolling my son but I had no clue she was the vice president Ms Maria contello. So my son is standing with Maria contello when I'm rushing in and I was only 45 minutes late as described above to get my son the vice president Maria contello who I did not know again was with my son where my son just started kindergarten about a week and a half two weeks ago was so unprofessional upon arrival I came in and I said I'm sorry and for one the vice president did not properly greet me with manners and respectfully by saying hi or discussing my son's day or even stayed at nicely and respectfully nor graciously as she is the vice president and serves the public with children and this is supposed to be a safe haven for children and parents. I was stunned on how she talked to me with such such aggression and attitude especially given that she is the vice president of the facility she should know about customer service in courtesy and patience and respect and delicacy to the public regardless of any situation. Her response upon entry was very rude very unprofessional. The vice presidents exact words when I said hi I'm sorry for being late 45 minutes I was just at the light she goes you're late it's unacceptable with attitude a high-pitched tomb aggression body language verbally you can see on the cameras I said okay I was in a little traffic light jam she then stated I don't care it is unacceptable etc etc to confirm what I am saying because I am very accurate and honest. With an attitude I said can I have your name and job title she then talked with the loud strong aggressive demeanor walked away from me to the back door to walk up the stairs to her office turned around open the door to walk upstairs and and then turned around as I was signing my son out and said this will be document in a threatening voice for one I don't do well with threats and aggression and I'm a former domestic violence survivor that is on my medical records and I am dealing with a lot of stuff just like everyone else so her aggression is not needing when she doesn't know what anyone is going through. and I take care of patients for over 17 years I sub the public and I would never even talk to my patients like that and I worked in every hospital in Boston and practically. So now she was going up the stairs she turned around to make threats that she'll document this whatever that it I then called her an a****** yes I was wrong for using foul language but with her unprofessionalism and attitude and not knowing I'm going through something she triggered me she serves the public like myself it was very unacceptable not knowing with anyone's going through and I was only four to five minutes late. And like I said I take care of patients for 18 years no one who serves the public whether a teacher a vice president a doctor a police officer or RN a nurse practitioner at ma or any public official should ever talk to someone in that demina North tone. It is very unacceptable unprofessional especially coming from a vice president who's supposed to lead this company with presidency and leadership that was not leadership or nor presidency or customer service on her behalf.then when I called her an a****** she then close the door she never went up the stairs to her office she came back walking up to me put her hand on her hip with an aggressive tone came to my face being confrontational with me as if she wanted to fight me she made me feel very unsafe and she asked me what I said I said you're acting like an a****** you're very rude and unprofessional I want your boss's name and email to complain about you she then said I am the vice president on audio cameras in the lobby as if I couldn't complain about her she talked to me and stated to me we will be having a meeting tomorrow and walked upstairs with an attitude slamming the door to her office as if I couldn't complain about her she talked to me and stated to me we will be having a meeting tomorrow and etc etc...
When I asked the VP for her boss's name and email to complain about her she did not give me her boss's name to complain to talk the way she talked she did not give me her boss's name to complain about the way she talked to me. I seen some teachers who were walking in for the after-school program with pizzas and I asked him if they could provide me with her boss's name and what is her name cuz she never even told me her name she just told me she was the vice president so they then told me her name is Maria contello the secretary won't help me because it was her boss she said she's not going against her boss so the teachers or at the school ladies put the pizza down they will come in and on video camera and they went behind the desk the reception desk they got me Bob sandals email and extension I then sent him an email complaining about Maria contillo on Wednesday September 20th about 6:21 p.m. to his work email you guys can pull that up with your it people and I filed a complaint against Maria contillo and everything she did to me you know in front of my son and it was unacceptable her behavior yes I was wrong I took accountability for calling on an [censored] so I didn't have to do that but she was so rude like and I was just going through so much that day and I was running late the traffic transferring my son from college the other one high school my disabled son getting him into Pre-K it was just a lot going on.
Please I urge watch the cameras they are audio cameras from Wednesday September 20th 2023 between 4:34 to 4:45 4:50 you can see everything I am saying is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
I would never talk to my patients the way ever or any person the way she talked to me. She talked to me with no professional etiquette no manners no respect and I have a 20 year old and a 16-year-old son who attended the boys & girls club of Dorchester towel but I have location where they aren't used to work there their records are archive I now have a four year old disabled child this is very unacceptable I've never ever in my life encountered anything like this from neither of my oldest two children.

I've been received an email from senior vice president Bob scanner with the subject line stating disenrollment I didn't get to look at because I was bringing my son to school I had no clue he would be illegally disenrolled for being four to five minutes late.
When I arrived at my son's school Miss Mary kinsella or someone printed this they get the front desk secretary gave it to me on Friday September 22nd stating my I didn't get Bob's email I said no I didn't get his email they said this is a copy they gave me a hand copy I still have estates my son is being disenrolled from the school according to the policy handbook I violated our code and they will be filing complaints with the BPS the eec dcf and the bpd c 11 I did not cause any hostile situation or despair hostile situation Maria cantillo the vice president did to me and my son I did not make threats only that I will sue them because this is all illegal and I will report this to any agency I can.
I my son I didn't have a school anymore I take care of patients I'm rebuilding my life after covid and stuff so there's a national shortage I serve the public I had to lie to my employer to try to rush him to sign him up for a BPS slot which is not guarantee as he is 4 years old from them illegally and disenrolling my son from having an education. They were already complaining of his aggressive impulsive behavior but not knowing he's medically disabled he has fluid in the brain his brain is smaller than his skull he has hydrocephalus he is being evaluated with his neurologic neurologist at children's hospital and his primary care for borderline spectrum autism as well so I felt like it was discrimination he only was there for a week and a half maybe he was too much cuz 4 to 5 minutes late you did some roll him you do all that or is it because you were revengeful because I called you an a****** yes it was wrong for me but it was also wrong for you you were the aggressor and then antagonizer and you acting really rude and it was just out of order.
My question is you took extreme measures to follow police report I didn't make any physical harmful threats to anyone okay I did not come in their hostile disrespectful she was the aggressor and the antagonizer. I was just simply trying to get my son apologize for 4 to 5 mins late. They were complaining at the beginning of the start date because my son bit a kid he acts like a dinosaur but they never took a look at his history physical reports to see all his medical conditions he's a micro preemie when I had him in my first trimester of pregnancy. I think I was discriminated on race as my son is a biracial child and we were dealing with a Caucasian woman and many other forms of discrimination and retaliation and just a whole bunch.
I have my son prematurely I am also a postpartum patient I'm I'm healing from a long journey and I'm rebuilding myself getting back in from being a stay-home mom I had to turn around and readjust my schedule I'm losing money I have a kid in college I don't have after school now I'm on the verge of losing my job from this lady she's trying to make me lose my children trying to get me and locked up in jail and I did nothing but try to get my son education where she should have worked with me as his new school is with the kindergarten teacher he has now Miss Brown oh she's wonderful she gets his health issues she understands the impulsive behavior he does things but not maliciously he is disabled this he has learning disabilities and and no one took the initiative to even you know discuss a plan with the PCP the teachers and me to get him the care he needed so the school can deal with him as well so I really think it wasn't four to five minutes late I think they it was a lot more to that.
then to get revengeful cuz I called you an a****** and you were rude and I'm professional and I asked you for your bosses email and number to report you the way you spoken to me and in the way she did. I never meant to call her an a****** but at that time I'm like wow the audacity the swimming she's acting like so rude and I'm professional that's what I should have said but when you're being antagonized and being in a disparate hostile environment which is supposed to be a safe haven for parents and children and she made it unsafe I suffer PTSD domestic violence women's syndrome I need delicate at all times I give respect I expect the same in return you know I have a 20 year old a 16 year old and a four year old disable son if I don't do that to my patience and I serve the public I don't want anyone doing that to me or my child it makes me feel like she speaks to my kids like that like if she is my son even safe at this school with this lady leading as VP to act in such a manner

This ceo of yours has the cops come to my house to do a child welfare check after I had told her and Victoria prince that the child was not there due to behavioral issues that they had been in contact with grand lake about. The child soils herself and consumes her feces and that is why I stopped sending her to boys and girls club. This also led to cops questioning my son at the boys and girls club. I am really seriously thinking of lawsuit due to the fact that she straight up just didn't listen. Also this club is not mandatory.

Tuesday July 11th 2023 I've entered the Boys and Girl club on Wayne Ave to pick my children up my son was sitting by the door I asked what's wrong because he belongs upstairs he said nothing Mom I asked what did you do he said nothing Mom then I've ask the Director (Dom) and he told my on to stop lying and ask for Me to step into office they began to say my son was rocking in a chair so he was suspended for 2 days (Camp not School)and also not allowed to attend the Trip to Fun Plex which is today July 12,2023 when I turned around my son was in tears I bega to get upset asking why because I had to work and how am I suppose to work ith him being home the didn't care I asked Jayceon why was he rocking in the chair he said because he was bored there's nothing to do he also stated that the wanted him to do 100 push up he said no I told him he has a voice and if you don't wanna participate in any activities you don't have to because this is camp a summer camp and I grabbed my kids and we left my children have workers who participate with my children Daily I ask about her also the said she comes in and leave well I've made phone calls to her ad her boss Johnathan and found out that their treating these children like it's military school and not a summer camp my daughter is 6 years old and my son is 9 what coul he do that was so wrong to be suspended from camp and not able to participate in any activities daily in camp I don't understand so I found out that the worker is there everyday and has proof this camp needs to be shut down r fixed I've seen a child walk in @ 8:38 yesterday morning for camp and they sent her back home told her don't come back til 9 she has to be around 7-8 years old sad made me cry couldn't react to it because I was on my way to work some one anyone please help me find out how protect the children from corporate punishment .

I have been trying to get help for almost a year and I feel helpless. Almost a year ago I was out on leave after several colleagues were court order to testify at a trial in which I was a victim and witness. They lost about a day and a half because they were called to court and didn’t testify so they had to come back the next day. My boss was so mad and I could hear him complaining about it. Trial lasted over a week. When I returned to work it was right before Summer Camp. I did not work during trial. So when I returned to worked I work almost 12 hour days and including the weekend in order to make sure we were ready for camp. I was the Director of the Child Care Center. That Wednesday morning my boss called me in to his office to go over payroll. Mine was not “done” we had a new employee and I did not have access to it. I explained that I just got access and would get to it after I was prepared. Mind you, I was in well before my shift to make sure we were ready for families. Boss was upset that I hadn’t allocated any of my time to grants. I explained that I was out during g trial so no grants were done. Then it was shut down week so again, no grants could be done. I’m the only one in my department on the grant. All of a sudden he asked me what was going on. I just looked at him confused. He demanded that he knew what was happening in my personal life. He said that I had a DCYF case opened in my named. I was so confused. I explained that if I had any issues that would reflect negatively on the Club I would have openly told him. He stared at me. I stared back trying not to get upset especially since I was still a hurt about trial. he demanded I tell him what I was thinking. I clearly stated, “I’m thinking about the children and families lined up at the door waiting and I came in to make sure we are all set. Can I go back?” I walked out. He stated we would have another meeting. He scheduled a meeting for the next day. I went with a prepare speech. Basically a list of how he made me feel when he did what he did to me just now. I went to go to the meeting and he said, “Oh I cancelled it. It’s tomorrow.” When I went in the next day it was scheduled at 5. I thought I was ready to share my concerns with how he spoke to me about personal things etc etc. but I didn’t have time. As soon as I walked in he put me on leave. He said I needed a therapist to clear me for for or have my DCYF case closed or be on short term disability in order to return. Fast forward a few weeks later and working so hard with so many agencies to get seen or on Short Term Disability. Nothing. I asked for an extension. I was told I had no PTO however I was being paid so I should have had PTO. I was terminated for not complying. Not only was my personal life falling apart but I lost my job for nothing that I even did wrong. I talked to several lawyers who said it was wrong to be fired but no one did anything or even tried to help. I reach out to another lawyer who says now it’s too long past the time I was fired to do anything. are you serious? This new CEO has been firing people left and right and treating staff horribly since he has started. I feel so cheated. I had a good job and a good reputation that was completely ruined. Never had any write ups and always went above and beyond to get my job done exceptionally well. If that does not mess with you mentally.
Desired outcome: I don’t know that I even want me job back. I don’t think I could ever work there with him being there. But I think something should happened. Someone should know what he did. I do not want a to see anyone else go through that ever.

Hello, my name is Michelle Taylor and I had been working for the Boys and Girls Club over at Kalfas and today I was wrongfully terminated due to the neglect of my so-called higher ups that get grants from this school board in which my children are a part of! I have been being bullying and attacked at work by a co worker for months without any assistance from Rebecca V of the Boys and Girls Club… Mrs Buchman carelessly reported misconduct against me when I was acting as supervisor in the absence of ours and was verbally attacked by my co worker and this was carelessly perceived as ME PHYSICALLY FIGHTING with this woman and that is simply not true! I was never given a chance to observe witness statements against me and all of the evidence I presented was disregarded! I work really hard for these ppl and for that school, I help with the community and other families as well and do not deserve this! I kindly request a hearing because this is my name and livelihood they are playing with! All of these ppl have their job security and I am just discarded even after begging for help on numerous occasions. My supervisor TyKasia Caffee is still employed even tho she wasn’t even there during this matter as she isn’t most times. Rebecca and her director Tonya have been running that club like their own personal employment agency hiring their family in roles they do not deserve and just discarded others! I have been trying to get my just position but they refuse to consider my qualifications and I have had several meetings with them in which they clearly just laugh at me and resume their perfectly sculpted lives. Lots of us have grievances concerning our higher ups. I just want to how how I can be fired for doing my job and Ms Betton wasn’t even written up for man handling a child in front of several teachers… Mrs Buchman allowed her to stay employed there and so did the boys and girls club! How is my life being turned upside down for trying to diffuse a situation? I have audio evidence that shows there was no fight and that I had successfully calmed her down until mrs Buchman and Ms Dolson came in and gave her an audience!
Please someone help me… I have been trying to get into contact with Mark Laurrie concerning this matter as I do not believe I was at fault at all… if anything I should have just walked away, but as I said I WAS ACTING SUPERVISOR and we were alone in the cafe when we were discussing her altercation with a few teachers that day… this was not my issue, I was simply doing my job trying to diffuse things and talk to my employee… I am always being mistreated by the higher ups… they don’t like to come to our site because it is a black school and they seen/heard two black women talking and automatically assumed the worst and I am so tired of that narrative and want to file a formal complaint with Mrs Buchman for escalating this situation that she had no idea about! The challenger boys and girls club referee

The Challenger Boy and Girls Club vs The Boys and Girl Club.
Time: 5:25 ( the first game).
I've notice that 2 of the players where in that game played in the second game as well. My complaint is start's with two eight grader that wasn't supposed to play in the game my understanding is that was for middle school, elementary school not eight graders that is over the age limit.
The Referee that also work there shouldn't be assisting in the game as in referee due to it being basis she call's fool games on the visitor team and when the home team fool she allow's them to have free throw's, but the visiting teams or not allow to have/make free throw's.
My understanding of the game is that it for kids and not for the home game to win.
Desired outcome: Is a new referee that knows how to do her/his job without basis.Kids should be able to play if the opposing team have the same age member on their team.

My kids are not perfect and you have kids that come to the boys and girls to act out. The boys and girls is not a clinic to treat kids but she be there to keep kids safe and bring joy to their day. There was a incident with my son Anthony Howard and Cody and no one even knew who hurt my son . He was very hurt and afraid to come there and not once have I spoken to the director about this incident but I have been called in to speak with her about my son using foul language. The staff the next day was more interested about my son and his safety and when I let them know what Anthony stated that happened to him I was told Cody was going to be suspended (not forgetting Cody and prince got into altercation for that too ). I had to ask my son over and over why doesn’t he want to go to boys and girls he stated because Cody doesn’t like me . Recently I had meeting at ps287 with Cody’s grandfather he was never aware of incident at the boys and girls months prior and also mentioned he never got suspended from boys and girls for hurting another kid that was very hurtful. During the meeting Cody didn’t recall the incident but stated Anthony hit him. Anthony whispered i didn’t and was too afraid to speak up . Now last night my son prince tells me Cody is messing with him again he’ll tease him and hes just learning to tease him back I asked him to not do that and to let adults know. I came in this morning to let staff know and she made it seem as if they are friends and they play and get serious then become friends . I understand that totally but there has to be a better strategy with kids I have four boys the one that gets to serious I have to separate or once I heard it getting serious I try to turn their mind to something else. There’s a lot of reaching out to me when my son is the aggressor but when I speak out and up before something happens it kind of get swept under the rug until something serious happens. I don’t really like the way certain things are handled and thanks.

The front staff were very rude when calling in concern of my child. They hung up on my three different times and were very disrespectful and rude. When asking why I was disconnected they said that I wasn’t when they picked up the phone I was not there which is untrue. Three at your staff came out of the building and wanted to fight a traffic agent because he was writing a ticket. He was not going to write the ticket but. The staff of the club got very disrespect disrespectful with him, so he proceeded to write a ticket. And they also spit on the traffic agent car which is very disgusting. I think the staff of this facility should be fired because if he does that with a traffic cop, what would he do with a child that’s in the club

Hello good night not sure if I am emailing the correct person but my son Anthony got hurt their today to the point where he can not walk.
I’m gonna seek medical attention in morning. When I got the call from your stuff they didn’t know what happened they told me If tells you let us know . I came to pick my son up and he could even walk in tears and scared. I took his shoes off and checked both feet and asked him what happened he cried that Cody a child kept stepping on him. The child Cody kicked him in stomach and leg also. When my other son prince came down he confirmed the story and I told him to repeat it to the front desk girls she stated Cody kicked him in leg , he’s complaining about his ankle. My son Anthony is not innocent but he’s not a trouble maker or fighter he’s loving. I didn’t like how this situation was handled . I’m not sure if it’s because I had a kid there that wasn’t listening maybe I felt y’all didn’t really care or care to discuss this issue with me face to face like I had to sit in directors office and discuss my two sons physical alteration. I find it strange how no one knew what happened, he was afraid to tell staff, and afraid to even come back to the program .

Non payment
Staff is excellent. I enjoyed sending my son to the club. However I am owed almost $300 in payments made by me that were in turn paid by subsidy. It is Nov 1 and these payments owed are from August. Staff has tried to help me get money but unfortunately the owners of the club will not return calls or send payment. I plan on going to licensing and letting subsidy know but I have come to the realization they are not paying me the money owed to me.
Desired outcome: Money refunded and an official apology from Pam or May
Kids being treated poorly
7:42 am, 10/10/22, on call with kid on his Chromebook, heard everything. Kid was yelled at, he was supposed to be watching video on TV, staff tells him to turn off the Chromebook, he closes it, and for a short amount of time, I could hear him getting yelled at saying to go to the front talking about how staff member isn't going to deal with it before the Chromebook turned off
Desired outcome: Kid should be told to turn off Chromebook, but not yelled at

my son reports... while attending the boys and girls club St. Charles, MO on Tuesday, August 9th the 10 and ups class walked to the playground at blanchette with two female staff members between the hours of 10 am and 11:30 am. At the park I was walking across on the things with the poles and the chains (floating bridge) another child in front of me a male, and another child behind me a female. I turn all the way around back side facing the male because something else grabbed my attention while I was standing in this postion a male member (name stated) GRABBED my bottom right side of my butt and SQUEEZED (my son reenacted this grab he didn't have the words to describe it as he has a learning disability) I turned back around and (open handed) hit the other male member on his butt. Then I get off the (floating bridge) and go over to the work - out area then (her name) a girl member throws a football at privates I told the teacher and the teacher asked her to apologized but she did not. Then (his name) kid member comes over while the staff, the girl, and me are standing there and he tells the teacher I touched (saying the name of the kid) butt. Then I said back (child name) touched my butt (son later revealed to "us" his parents the other offender touched him first during our conversation about what had happened and how he needs to protect himself and explaining to him the difference between a touch and a grab.) but the teacher did not respond and walked off. Then the class returned to the club. Then everyone went into the teen room. seconds later (her name) the staff told me to come here and sit (in the gym outside the teen room).. then the other teacher in the teen room closed the door to the room. Then she says sit here while I go talk to your mom... (end of my son's report)
Beginning of my report The Parent) One of the female staff members comes into the office where I'm sitting at the front desk and says we had to have a group discussion with all the kids about them misbehaving on the playground. Then she says my kid touched another kid on the bottom (failing to report my son told her the other kid "touched" his bottom) I told her to send my son up here to the front. Minutes later my son comes up to the front he softly tries to tell me what happened but I could not hear him because another kid was crying in the front and others where talking loud so I told him to go back to class one of the managers will call you back up here to talk to you. I leave around 12:30 came back to the st charles club around 2:45 to pick up my two boys. Later that evening around 4:15 I get a phone call from Ally one of the managers she explains to me what was reported to her by other kid members in my son's group and then tells me my son is revoked and tells me his peers reported to her other sexual incidents that had happened last week while that the kids report on Tuesday (It wasn't reported last week) I say ok (I was in utter shock after hearing the accusations) then we disconnected. I called the boys and girls club back a hour later after trying to gain my composure I ask for Ally but she had left for the day so I spoke with Hannah I asked Hannah did they get a chance to talk with my son about the situation she said no because I picked him up early I said to hannah you all had plenty of time to talk to him as the incident occurred that morning and I picked him up around 2:45. Hannah said she will talk to Ally and Rick and call me back. Hannah never called back that night. I called in the morning Ally was busy. I sent an email to front desk asking how long he was suspended
and why my son was never bought into the office to tell his side of the story to be documented and an I email Rick about the situation as well. Ally called back stating she had a meeting with Rick, Karen and Hannah and that my son was revoked for a year from all boys and girls club locations. Ally said even if my son told his side of the story that would not change their decision. I asked did they suspend the other boy that touched my son as well. she said she could not tell me. I asked did they revoke the other kid. she said she could not tell me. I said to her this is not over and I hung up the phone. Then Rick replied back in an email stating they don't investigate this type of allegations. I replied so is the social worker going to come look at the cameras from last week. Is the social worker going to talk to the other kids that where in a"group" behind closed doors. Is the social worker going to come there and read all the written reports to find my son report never documented. Is the social worker going to investigate the lies these other kids told about my son when this group of kids are old enough to know the days of the week. why where these so called sexual incidents that happensed last week not reported last week? What I don't understand is if there is an open door policy for some kids but not others. others get heard while others don't. some kids can stand up to their bullys and some cannot not that's when they suppose to be protected by those in positions of authority but instead the child gets pushed aside. If this is suppose to be a club of integrity and policy then who does it all apply to? just some of the kids? not all of the kids?
Desired outcome: I would appreciate my child to be heard by staff and management, his story documented like the other kids reports ( which some were lies) and the other offender repramanded.
Child neglect
On 4/22/22 at 2:40 pm the club was closed and parents where not notified. Students were dropped off from school by the buses and were standing outside unattended. When a staff member was leaving the boys and girls club (staff member Mr. Jones) they stated to the kids it was closed today but no staff stayed to wait for parents to pick up young children nor did staff call parents. Parents were notified their child was outside by other parents rushing to pick their child up. The weather conditions were rainy and cold. UNACCEPTABLE
Desired outcome: File a complaint immediate staff training or retraining and better notification policy from club staff to parents

The 2 head bosses/staff their talk trash about the parents behind their backs. They treat the kids like trash. All they do is yell at our kids. I hope the directors see this. Some staff are racist, mean, and bullies. They are unacceptable.. How would you like it if your kid came home crying talking about how the 2 head bosses/directors were being racist. I went to pick up my child and the cars were lined up all the way to the back of the fence so I had no reply to park on that side I had my toddler in the car with me. I parked on the side where I was still visible where another car then joined on the side of me. I arrived at exactly 7:58 to be exact 2 mins before they close for the teens. I called them right at 8pm no answer to let them know I was outside parked on the side where u could see me. The lady came out loud and disrespectful to me saying you have to be here on time because I was about to charge you and next time I will be charging you we want to get out of here on time. First and foremost I was there had they been looking in all directions they would have seen my truck u can’t miss my truck it’s not small and it had its lights on. Secondly my son wasn’t out in the lobby where he usually is she came out hitting on the door and accusing me when the whole time I was there along with other parents who had been arriving around the same time as me. I was pissed off and wanted to cuss her out but I controlled myself because of my kids and I didn’t want to allow this lady to take me out of my character. I am still upset because the lady and I have never had this problem until now. I didn’t like her tone or her attitude. Not only that she was wrong about what she was saying that’s what pissed me off the most.
Desired outcome: For them to look both ways when parents are arriving and not conclude and make assumptions and know that they aren’t always right. To be mindful that parents aren’t perfect and neither are they and that they have made mistakes too.
Ridiculous cost
When inquiring about the cost of the boys and girls club in Carlsbad NM. I was told they have a $75 registration fee and a $100/mth participation fee per child. How is this suppose to be ok. Isnt this suppose to be a place for kids of all income classes? In a small town like Carlsbad the only place for kids to go is the Boys and Girls Club at this cost thats impossible for the majority of families. Trying to balance the increase is housing costs and food and now this. Two years ago membership was $50/yr and now $1200/yr, what a rip off!
Inappropriate behavior from staff
My son was attending boys and girls club in pacoima, ca... He really enjoyed club and am so disappointed with club... A staff member (male)... Did not let my child use the restroom therefore had an accident... Extremely embarrassing... On another incident (same staff member)... Male staff member was playing an inappropriate game with kids... The male staff member physically restrained my son by holding both his hands behind his back... Then removed one of his shoes.. And threw it across the gym... When I confronted staff member he became very aggresive.. And not willing to talk... I contacted the ceo.. We had a meeting.. And as of today... There has been to reprimands done to staff... And my son was not able to return
