Just as with anything in life, there are risks in any new investment or schemes.
I have just been scammed by a company called BRB mining. I have, in good faith, yet, with heavy doubts, bought 2 plans with them.
Of course, before buying the second plan, I made sure I could withdraw some of my gains from the first plan. And they paid up.
However, out of the $7,700 invested, I was able to get a total of $2,300 out...then, after 5 days into my plan (a 365 days plan), I was asked to pay up a total electricity bill of $22,200 (between the two plans). Electricity cost that was NEVER disclosed at the time of purchase of the plans, and is still to this day, not disclosed to prospective buyers or even in their terms & conditions.
$22,000 of electricity to run machines (now, who knows if these really exist) for one year.
In such a case, if such is the cost, why not make that clear in the first place, and incorporate that in the plans? Or disclose that no withdrawal would be allowed until the power for the year is paid up? Why allow people to withdraw a little here and there to make them feel comfortable and BAM, stop all withdrawals, about 50% into their investment, to ask for more money, more money NEVER disclosed, to begin with? And I am sure some people would pay, in full faith, and be taken to the cleaner even more. And then, what's next? Taxes? Operational costs? What's next when the THIEVES at BRB mining have collected your $22,000? When they reach 50% of that, they pause withdrawals again claiming something else is owed? I will never know...as I refuse to pay up.
Of course, not paying means no more mining. and here they sit with lots of my money, which I will never get back.
The fact of the matter is that this company, like many other "mining" companies that have popped up over the past few years, are nothing but a scam or a Ponzi scheme. In this case, a Nigerian scam, ran by two...Nigerians registered in London (UK).
And yes, I know, too good to be true, and "told you so" are definitely fitting in this situation. Nonetheless, they need to be STOPPED!
and what can one do? Regulations don't exist, and scams of this nature will continue running uncontrolled and unpunished until there are no more people scam-able.
Desired outcome: Make sure they don't get anyone else scammed, and by nature of not having enough people to steal from, shut down! No hope for any money back, but this needs to be stopped!
I got scammed by brbmining.com. The scam is really simple. They offer a plan which seems to be good and never shows that you also need to pay electricity fee. After just 10 days of a plan that costs 728 USD they freezed my mining, my withdrawals and threatened me to pay electricity fee for one full year or they re going to switch off my machine forever. fee is 1806.75 USD which is an amount completely unreasonable compare to contract plan value and this is how they steal contract money if people can't afford it. But even if I was able to afford it I'm not going to put this money into a site that doesn't have any clarity on what you're paying, paid and expected payments.
