I got a Brother TN227BK toner and it was seriously leaky
I got a Brother TN227BK toner and it was seriously leaky. It leaked all over my prints and printer as well. It ruined my work and work hours, and I tried to reach Brother customer service, which was totally unable to reach after many days of trial Now that this is the only way to reach Brother- I wrote a product review with one star, and they deleted the review. I wrote another review and they deleted again. Before writing the third review, I am reaching Complaintsboard.com for reporting their horrible service, along with the malfunctioning product.
I have a printer MFC-J690DW bought less than a year ago
I have a printer MFC-J690DW bought less than a year ago. My significant other and I both bought these very expensive pieces of junk that we have used to print not even 3 times. We both bought new boxes of print cartridges at the same time. Well, the printers BOTH ran out of ink, would not accept the cartridges made by their own company, and are virtually useless. These printers both cost over $300 to purchase. I am now convinced to NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER BROTHER ITEM AGAIN SO LONG AS I LIVE ! There is no way to contact this useless company in order to resolve anything.

I purchased a Brother SE1950 Embroidery Machine online from *** Fabric 10/3. I have owned Brother products for years (4 knitting machines). The packaging read that I needed to register my new machine directly to Brother USA. I called in to register since there was an issue locating my serial number. Less than a few weeks the auto-threader broke. I called in to BrotherUSA again, and was directed to bring it to an authorized service center in the next state. I dropped the machine off, and 3 weeks later i am told by the service center that Brother will not cover the repair even though the machine is less than a month old! I had to pay for the repair out of pocket, and drive a 70 mile round trip twice. When I called BrotherUSA, they said they would call the service center and take care of this. I picked up my machine, and they never contacted the service center. I brought the machine home, and wouldn't you know there is now another problem. I called BrotherUSA and chatted with another CS rep, who told me I had to return it to the service center again. I asked if I could be sent a packing slip and have it shipped, she said she would have to ask further up the food chain and someone would contact me right away. Two days later and I haven't heard from anyone.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. Brother sewing machines and software issues - customer beware - Today's experience is this: I purchased 4 files for the embroidery sewing machine (LB5000). 3 files were useless (no way to adequately read the *** instructions/pattern for appliqus) and one was defective. Then, they required MY ACCOUNT PASSWORD to correct their issue. They REFUSE TO PROVIDE customer refunds for a defective file and download. They REFUSE to work with MAC operating system for their *** format files to have a reader. They will not provide the file in the *** format, even though their Brother machine reads the *** format perfectly -- and so does your MAC software. Their escalation process and customer service teams have no authority or ability to resolve the issues. So, I'm left with hours lost, a defective file, and they are literally stealing my money if they cannot provide a useable file, format, reader, or resolution/refund. They are thieves.
I have sent emails to customer service, *** messenger and the *** office trying to get refund on a printer I order almost a month ago. *** is non existent with this company. I want a refund now because service *** here.
I have not been able to use my brand new printer since the purchase date on 8/21
I have not been able to use my brand new printer since the purchase date on 8/21. Upon initial setup, an error message came up was that it was an invalid code. I waited a long while and tried again, it will not initiate/launch setup. Customer support is a circle jerk on their website and the 800 number isn't open on weekends when most of us have time to deal with tech support issues. Go figure. Additionally, I don't understand the 5-star ratings below for resolving issues after 3 or 4 attempts, or partial resolution with only part of the product working. These are not 5-star worthy service or product examples.

After an electrical outage our Printer/Fax/Scan machine wouldn't print. On September 14, *** who I later told was an *** found the problem within about 10 minutes. She was straightforward, efficient, direct and smart!*** was the 3rd Support Staff to assist with the problem. On 9/1 I talked with 2 staff, one for about 40 minutes and one for over 1.5 hours. Neither of them could discover the problem. Please give *** our thanks and our mental Gold Star. Sincerely, J and J
Brother Printer MFC-J895DW has never worked as it should from day 1, after I set it up. I always have to switch it on and off and my internet connection on and off, every time I have to use the printer, even though it is supposed to be a wireless printer. Brother (the company) has consumers paying $1 for a call ($46/month) in order to get the printer to function as it should. This is ridiculous and dishonest.
I purchase a sewing machine knowing and hearing that brother has the best products from soy machine to cut machines to printers scanners and to have purchased several different types of machines from this company to get no kind of compensation no kind of customer service is very disappointing its frustrating and its an ethical. The fact that I have my moms sewing machine in a service center that brothers sent me to go to because of the parts not being on on standby or ordered prior to or even manufactured but yet I have to wait almost a year almost 6 months three months two months for my machine to be returned to me. My sewing machine is in a service center since September 24 waiting for a part to be generated didnt have a SKU number added for that part use youre selling a product that you dont even have a part for that you have to have them manufactured this part from overseas in order for them to send it to the states in order for them to put it in a SKU in their computer to get it to a service center to get the consumers product fixed period is ridiculous is out of hand is downright rude I dont even understand how youre selling a product and you dont even have the parts for the product. You guys are not compensating me youre not even saying oh because you dont have the part were gonna send you a machine and were gonna have the service center sent us back that machine youre not even doing that that would be so ethical of you people but the fact that youre not doing that youre downright disgusting youre taking peoples money youre taking peoples time and effort in purchasing your products and this is what youre doing giving them back nothing youre the worst company now that I have ever purchase products from and the bad part is I have several products have a printer I will scan and cut machines from brothers I had two other sewing machine one which is not working either but guess what that one is going in the trash because Wife brothers is not compensating anything for money spent with them to get anything compensated or anything
Terrible overseas customer service!
Terrible overseas customer service! I initially tried the online chat. Unable to provide any help after waiting 15 minutes to get someone to respond. They gave me the customer service number. I called and waited nearly an hour to get through to some rude woman in some other country who was so condescending and unskilled to do anything other than to read from a script and insinuate how stupid I am. Without being able to actually provide any help, she told me that there was something wrong with my computer and hung up on me. This was after I endured her insults for almost a half hour. A real piece of work. I am just fuming right now.
I literally just purchased this MFC (multi function Center) for my business. What a piece of trash. First off, it won't stay on line even thought it was connected directly via ethernet cable. Then I tried wireless...goes off line every few minutes and I literally have to type in the wifi password every damn time on their [censored]ty touch screen interface. Then the scanner leaves a long line down the middle of the page with every scan. Tried to call for help? Not possible. Literally, no published phone numbers for this pig [censored] company.
I purchased a Brother Printer a few years ago, model ***. Up until the last couple of months it worked fairly well. Then something bizarre happened. Out of the blue, it stopped double sided printing right in the middle of a print job. I thought my machine had jumped its tracks so I went back through the manual, the online help and other help from every source I could find. I did everything I was instructed to do. The printer makes a feeble attempt to print double sided and may get as far as one double sided page or one page of a double sided print order and the *** error message appears on the printer's *** screen. Next, I sent two emails to Brother regarding my problem. They referred me to a page that tells you exactly what to do to clear the *** error reading. These of course, were things I had already done numerous times. Resetting the printer so it will print only on one side is a hassle, that requires disconnecting the printer from the computer, pulling the electric plug and restarting. Then resetting all of the instructions so it will only print on one side of the paper. However that doesn't always work. You can literally spend hours attempting to get the printer to do just basic print jobs. Something nightmarish has happened to Brother equipment and service. I don't know what it is, but the Brother Sewing Machine I was going to purchase from ***, on north *** will never occur now that I have read the reviews and seen what a terrible company Brother has become. So sad."
Brother customer service is non existent. Absolutely horrible. They try to charge you high fees just to get some tech help. I guess I should have done some more research on them before I bought one of their printers. I can not configure the new printer I bought and Brother won't help. I wonder if I can return the printer to Best Buy. Anybody out there have any ideas.Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
I bought a Brother printer a few months ago
I bought a Brother printer a few months ago. About a week ago, it stopped working, so I contacted the IT/Tech Support for Brother. I was put into contact with two of their tech support personnel, Paul and Aurelia, who were both patient and dedicated to helping me figure out how to get my device back up and running. Paul set up a Zoom meeting, where he was able to identify that it was actually a firewall issue and not a Brother software issue. The fact that he went above and beyond his own software to find the answer was really impressive to me. It was one of the better online tech support experiences I've had in recent years. Thanks!
Bother is the worst company!
Bother is the worst company! Do not buy any printers from here! The first printer advertised as double sided printing but it just had a slot where you can place one piece of paper after printing on the one side. They call it duplex printing which is false advertising. That same printer broke less than a year because the drum went out. the drum cost more than the printer itself. The support always takes forever to pick up. They are not knowledgeable or helpful at all. I made the mistake of buying another printer from them and the ink I had from the broken printer was not able to be used even though it was complete compatible because the chip cannot be reset. They make a million different programs to scan on your computer but none of them have a capability of resetting the chip for genuine products purchased by the same user? They are a waste of time and money. Do not buy!

Loyal Brother customer for 15 + years
Loyal Brother customer for 15 + years. All of a sudden, they quit providing driver support for one of the 3 primary features of my MFC printer, SCANNING. The machine works fine otherwise, Brother just quit providing a scanner driver, and they admit it. They still support my model in every other way. They think that is perfectly acceptable. Had they pasted a banner across the original packaging stating their intent to discontinue one of the 3 primary features in a few years, NO ONE ONE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE DEVICE! Instead, *** sold the machine anyway, planning its premature obsolescence, with the intent of deceiving its customers. Not only is this deception, it is stealing. Brother has no conscience regarding this matter. I will not spend another dime for a Brother product. I encourage anyone considering one of their machines to avoid them and their deceptive practices and seek out other, more reputable companies.

I would give Brother a 0 and not one star
I would give Brother a 0 and not one star. The overpriced printer of $369 started printing streaks and smudges on all printouts. Only had this printer for a couple of months and after changing the ink, the problems began and are getting worse. Called Brother for help and was on hold twice for over 15 minutes. I finally was able to talk to Customer Service and they had me go through numerous trouble shooting which lead me to removing the ink cartridge several times, dispersing ink everywhere. After the 45 minute called, the problem was not fixed and they were not going to offer any kind of return. Second call same thing, but now the trouble shooting was a ploy to say the ink Cartledge is the problem and not a factory warranty issue. How embarrassing to send professional letterhead with streaks, smudges, and dots on them. Brother has ZERO customer service and does not warranty or stand behind their products. Wish I had seen all the other terrible reviews before purchasing. Will have to trash a new printer due to this and will never buy Brother again.
I bought a Brother J1205W or J1215W printer on sale at a store in my hometown, anticipating a good deal.
I bought a Brother J1205W or J1215W printer while it sold for a reduced price at a store in my hometown, anticipating it would be a good scanner and color printer for my sister. I planned to gift it, so I didn't open the box for months. When I finally did, I regretted trusting the Brother brand. The printer is hard to turn on, with blinking lights and noisy startup. Contacting Brother Support incurs a fee of $10 per call. I'm frustrated that I'm expected to pay each time for assistance with a printer that doesn't function intuitively. Why is this company allowed to operate here, sell subpar products, and charge customers for basic support? The Brother support team only asks about error messages, yet there's no screen on this printer. It seems they quickly direct you to a website that charges you before providing help.

Hi I bought this Brother MFC L2710DW and it stopped printing. I replaced new drum and new tonner still not printing so I called Brothers customers service in June but was not able to reach because they were updating their system, then finally I got hold of them on July 20th.The rep from ***, *** call center spent 40 minutes trouble shooting and then finally came up saying it is not reparable here and your warranty expired so you may have to take it to nearby service center and pay from my pocket.Frustrating I requested for Supervisor she hang up on me, I called again and spoke with another rep *** I explained her again my whole situation, she put me on hold for 15 minutes and came saying none of the supervisors are available but will take down my number and one of them give me a call. I asked her the address of Brother corporate office, she said she dont know their address we are in ***10 minutes later supervisor *** called, I explained her. She put me on hold to check with warranty department. Came back saying sorry it is out of warranty and we cannot replace. So frustrated if a brother product is only lasting 1.5 years, why should we buy their product. It is not fair to us, if we are spending money to buy the product and not getting customer support and resolve the issue.Very disappointed with customer service and the *** product

I purchased a Brother Printer a few years ago, now with issues
I purchased a Brother Printer a few years ago. Up until the last couple of months, it worked fairly well. Then something bizarre happened. It stopped double-sided printing unexpectedly. I reviewed the manual and sought online help to no avail. The printer struggles with double-sided tasks, sometimes completing one page before an error message disrupts the process. After contacting Brother, they directed me to standard troubleshooting steps, which I had already tried. Resetting the printer for single-sided printing is tedious, involving disconnection and power cycling. Despite efforts, it's challenging to perform basic print jobs. Disappointed by this experience and negative reviews, I've decided against buying a Brother Sewing Machine from a local retailer.

We recently bought five Brother printers (MFC-L3750CDW models) for a few of our offices, and up until a few days ago were happy with them. That is until one kept printing out in uneven streaky color, we followed every FAQ we could find on their website, cleaned every part we could get too, replaced the toner cartridges, adjusted every setting we could find, and nothing changed. We tried their online chat, and were in a queue for 16 minutes, only to be linked back to the same FAQ we already followed, and were told we would have to call in for further assistance, so we did and were on hold for another 20 minutes. Which to fair, we understand given the times delays may happen, but we were already frustrated and the poor girl on the line didn't seem to know much about the product and was reading straight from a troubleshooting guide we had already gone through. We gave her our case number, email we used on the chat service and the name of the chat agent, yet she couldn't find any record of the chat. So that means we had to do everything over again. The agent tired to walk us through a few hidden menu setting, and still nothing. Finally she just told use to go out, buy 4 new toner cartridges (which run around $130 for all 4) and test the printer again and if that didn't work, only then would they provide us warranty support. I will admit it took great restraint to hold back my frustration, but it was not the agents fault, she was just following protocol. We hung up and started a return on *** for all units purchase, because we are absolutely not dealing with this again.
I have a Brother MFC-J5445DW printer
I have a Brother MFC-J5445DW printer. It started printing very dark. I called the support center. Talked to a guy - said he did not know why it was dark - he asked a lot of questions and said he didn't know but would try some things and callme right back. He never called back. I called again the next day and got a girl. She asked the same questions - said we needed to do a deep cleaning. I had a nearly new set of cartridges in my printer. We did a deep cleaning and one cartridge ran out - I replaced it and did another cleaning and all the others ran out. I replaced all of the cartridges with new ones and she said to do a third cleaning. After the third deep cleaning the new yellow was out and I did not have a replacement. She said if the third cleaning did not solve the problem to call back and request the warranty department. I got new cartridges and tried the printer - it was the same. I called back today and and went through the whole process again. The girl said we must do another deep cleaning (the fourth one). I said that I just put in $128 of ink cartridges in the printer and ask her if the fourth cleaning didn't work - how many more "deep cleanings" will we have to do. I said that when this ink was gone - I will have spent enough on Ink that I could have just bought a new printer. Her response was to hang up on me. I called back and was on hold for another 30 minutes - the same girl answered and I guess recognized my voice and promptly hung up one me again. What a way to run a company. I hope that anyone out there who reads this will never consider buying anything with the "Brother" name on it. I can't believe that a company this size got that way by treating customers this way!

I have been using toner and Brother printers in some capacity for well over 30 years! Brother used to have an excellent reputation and I used to be able to rely on the quality of their products. In all my time of using Brother machines, I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM USING THIRD PARTY TONERS WITH BROTHER MACHINES! NEVAH.
Well, on May 1, 2023, I purchased the Brother MFC L3750CDW so that I could make printouts and copies, as I do quite a bit of copying for my community projects. On or about June 29th, I ran out of Black toner and needed to immediately purchase more as I needed copies of literature for a four day event that I was going to be working. I ordered premium toner that was compatible with the above Brother Machine. Well to my HORROR AND CHAGRIN, the brother machine would not read the toner! And here it is July 7, and the machine STILL WILL NOT READ THE TONER! There is absolutely no excuse for this! Brother is deliberately RIGGING THEIR MACHINES to not READ third party toners! If the problem was with the toner, the machine would read it and the printer quality would be bad, or the toner would be leaking in the machine. But that is not the case!
And to make matters even more egregious, I got this reply from Brother which is gobbledy [censored] and a lie! Again, I emphasize, that in my 20 plus years of using Brother printers, I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM! Here is a reply that I've received from their corporation:
"However, please note that when updating the machine's firmware, we do this to add security features or enhance the machine function and the only operational guarantee we make is that Brother Genuine cartridges will continue to work. We have no control over third party toner cartridges nor are we obligated to ensure their cartridges function in our machines as they were designed for use with genuine Brother ink cartridges. The only operational guarantee we are able to make (when a firmware update is released) is that genuine Brother ink cartridges will continue to work if we update the machine's firmware. Should a firmware update become available, it is the responsibility of the third party manufacturers to update their products to maintain compatibility. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
I absolutely do NOT accept this and it flies in the face of logic and their very long business history. Never had this problem before. The issue is Brother's unethical, unprincipled position of ripping off the consumer and bleeding them dry for every penny they have by making machines in which will only read Brother toner!
Desired outcome: I want Brother to stop THEIR UNETHICAL PRACTICES and to stop rigging their printers to only work with Brother toner cartridges.
I purchased a Brother DL-L5200DW dual tray printer in September last year
I purchased a Brother DL-L5200DW dual tray printer in September last year. I have had issues with the paper jamming in the second tray since almost day one. They replaced the printer (but not the second tray the issue is coming from a few months back) even though I told them the paper was jamming in the second tray, so instead of replacing the entire unit including where the issue is coming from - I am still getting jams all day long in my tray 2. I have called support multiple times asking them to send me a new second paper tray (model LT-6500) to resolve the issue of the paper continuously jamming and they refuse to do so. The rep just told me I need to buy a lower replacement tray with my own money after being on the phone with her for 45 minutes. I now have to escalate this up, since I continue to receive NO support from your support team in India. Once again I need a replacement LT-6500 replacement tray shipped to me.

Information for Brother I have a model MFC-J430W printer that has worked wonderfully on our WiFi network for more years than I can recall. All of a sudden, the printer cannot be found on the wifi network.I have tried just about everything that I can find I am confident that I am using the correct wifi password which hasn't changed in some time. It had worked previously, just not now. I cannot imagine what has changed I have reset the network, gone through the set up wizard. moved the printer turned the router on and off, updated drivers and firmware and probably something else I cannot recall - all counties times my wife is in hospice at home. This is NOT HOW I WANT TO BE SPENDING WHAT LITTLE TIME SHE HAS LEFT.For Complaintsboard.com I am using this vehicle because Brother's support options offer no resolution
On May 5, I purchased a Brother MFC-J6545DW Printer, serial number: ***, through Amazon.com. the printer comes with a 3-year warranty. Since purchasing the printer, I have had numerous problems with printing, keeping it online, duplex printing, using the *** and various other issues. I have contacted Brother *** numerous times about these issues, and each time the issues were temporally fixed, only to crop up again.I have been more than patient with Brother on these issues, but it is rapidly nearing an end. As a last ditch effort, I tried contacting Brother *** Corporate through snail-mail, but it has been two weeks and I have not received any reply. I am tired of trying to constantly keep the printer working. I would like for Brother to send me a box, with prepaid shipping for me to return the printer to Brother, and a complete refund of $670.62.

I bought a new Brother sewing machine from Amazon in October
I bought a new Brother sewing machine from Amazon in October . It arrived on October 3. After four months, a part on the machine broke. The machine has a two-year warranty. On February 11, I reached out to Brother for repair arrangements. They suggested I take it to their service center, which is over 31 miles away. As a disabled senior, I expressed my inability to travel that distance. They then agreed to handle the shipping. My machine was picked up on February 18, and returned a month later on March 17. They replaced the broken part but omitted another. It appears they skipped quality assurance checks, as the missing part is essential for testing. This information was provided by Jessica Vaughn. My frustration isn't just with the repair but also with the customer service. I find Brother's treatment and business practices unacceptable, and I am extremely dissatisfied.

I purchased a refurbished brother printer (model # MFC-L3710CW, Serial # *** from ***'s official website and have had nothing but problems. The first printer had nothing but problems so they mailed parts to try and fix it. When that didn't work they finally agreed to send another one. This one worked for about a month and now is also nothing but problems.
I bought a printer and it stopped working after a few months Brother said they would overnight a printer right away It has been a week and they told me today that it had not been even shipped yet?I need my printer overnighted ASAP.
I purchased a Brother printer from Bestbuy on Otctober 21, 2021 and it already has to be replaced. I contacted Brother and told them the issue I was having and they sent links to see if anything helped to clear it, and it didn't. They said that it is under warranty and to send them the particulars as they would issue a replacement. The problem is they are sending me a refurbished one and I didn't pay for a refurbished one so why should I take it? They are going to send me on that has been worked on and recycled as a replacement for a new one I have? I think that it is only fair I receive a new one in it's place, after all I didn't cause the problem with the one I have, why should I accept one that might have the same issues?
10/06 We have purchased this Brother sewing machine model lx3817a
10/06 We have purchased this Brother sewing machine model lx3817a. in March and we use it several times and it's damaged. We used everything what's came along with machine. Just we didn't try to use any other parts and we went to the store to return it the informed you have to send for repair. to special authorized service center the closest repair location is in *** reported in to distinguish broken because you didn't use the packaged *** which is not true. But we didn't argue we wanted to see it fixed in operating mode okay. So they informed to pay $12 for the service repair and we should get it repaired. We waited a few weeks before gave them a call when we called them they said yes its repaired, so we went to them and we checkd it out but they told us , I'm sorry. It's not ready. And since then its already almost three months we have to get the parts we're getting no place. It means that the whole 1 year warranty wll expire when the sewing machine

I have owned and used Brother fax Machines for several years. All of the sudden I am having issues with sending a fax and this evening I cannot print. Over the past couple of weeks I have wasted hours trying to reach this company for assistance. It has been a *** in total *** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their chat site repeatedly wants my phone number in the USA which i have repeatedly submitted as well as my machine model. I am lived with these CLOWNS and demand to speak to their CEO immediately. These incompetent [censored]s are interfering with my business and my personal life! I am now ready to purchase their competitor's product!
My printer isnt recognizing yellow toner. Its the second toner its not recognizing. Not even a year old. The other two just replaced color toners work fine. I did what was recommended on the website and the tech on the phone made me do it all Again. Then he said I HAVE to use brother toner oem. The law is you can recommend your own toner but you cannot void a warranty because oem toner isnt used. I used two different yellow toner brands neither worked leading me to believe its a PRINTER problem. But brother isnt fixing it or even looking at it and you can *** can my warranty be voided for using aftermarket toner it cant. *** has to prove toner somehow damaged the printer. Ive used aftermarket toners since having this and for my whole life.
We purchased an MFC-L3750CDW Color Laser Printer from *** on September 15
We purchased an MFC-L3750CDW Color Laser Printer from *** on September 15. Print quality declined within a couple of months, and utilizing the recommended solutions on their website (e.g., repeatedly running the cleaning cycle) would only briefly improve this. Their tech support could not resolve the issue and advised we would need to call them back "due to the complexity of the steps required..." We replaced the (black ink) toner which came with the printer with a non-Brother cartridge which allowed us to print text, intending to revisit the issue with them when time permitted. Now the cyan toner has run out and the printer will not function until it is replaced. We are extremely reluctant to purchase a new OEM cartridge ($75+) when the original issue was not fixed, however Brother tech support advised that in order to proceed (with additional troubleshooting steps/warranty repair) we must first do so, could offer no other options, and said no supervisor was available.

bought printer with 2 year warranty ,printed 4 pages ,and all it does is paper jam called several times they blow me off . no help just nothing we can due
I purchased the brother printer *** back in December. The printer worked fine for 6 months and then while printing gave me an error message of Print Unable OB. I reached out to Staples where I purchased the product and they referred me to Brother, the manufacturer of the printer. I reached out to them on several occasions and was finally able to speak with a representative who determined the printer needed to be serviced. I was advised I would be send a refurbished printer and would be provided instructions of how to recycle the printer, etc. I received the printer on Thursday of this week. I just set up the printer and placed the new drum/ toner and the replacement printer gave me the exact same error as message as the new one purchased 6 months ago. This is not acceptable! I work remotely and this is placing great hardship on me. I need a new printer, not one that is going to give me this issue anymore!
Purchased an MFC-J895DW All-In-One printer a few months ago. I cleared a paper jam but the machine's scanner is open and the arm to it will not unlock. I called Support and waited over an hour to finally get someone who, after a few attempts that did not release the lock, said nothing could be done and I should get a technician which I would have to pay for. When I said that should not be the case, she told me to hold on for 2 minutes and then disconnected me. Hiring a technician would cost me more than the machine. Wasn't able to get any help on line, chatting, or to get through again on the phone. Terrible service! I would like a refund or a replacement machine.
Purchased a printer 3/27 from Brother with 1 year warranty
Purchased a printer 3/27 from Brother with 1 year warranty. 2 weeks ago I started having quality issues. I replaced all toners, drum, belt, waste toner; everything a consumer could replace, with genuine brother parts. The issue persisted. I contacted brother support via chat. After an hour of answering questions, providing details, and doing diagnostics I was assured that the warranty would still be honored, but I needed to do some more diagnostics via a phonecall. So I had to call, and stayed on the phone for another hour, following further diagnostics, as well as proof of purchase for the toner. After more then an hour on the phone, the representative (Jose) said he couldn't help me get a replacement machine. I am now stuck with a 1-year old printer that doesnt work, and have spent over 2.5 hours providing details of my issue, providing serial numbers of products, and my only request was that if my issue couldn't be resolved, that Brother would honor the replacement warranty

I have had nonstop issues with my brother MFC-J4335DW all in one printer
I have had nonstop issues with my brother MFC-J4335DW all in one printer. Constant clogs result in me wasting tons of very expensive ink. After only three months of having the printer, it is out of ink. Keep in mind the box says it should last for one year. I do not even print every day, but a few times per week for a couple pages of small business labels.Pages print out uneven, with white lines, and a mix of ***--black here, purple there--as if I purposely edited the document text to alternate colors.Customer service was unhelpful. I was told, "press settings, then black/white, then settings within 3 seconds to move to the next step" which "has to be done within three seconds." I assured the representative I was doing this in much less than 3 seconds. Never worked. Was told a supervisor will call back. They never did.Now I am stuck with a very expensive piece of trash printer. My small business just lost at least $300, plus more in sales I could not make due to not having a functional printer.

Printer ink scam where printer reads cartridges as empty where they really have 30% or more ink left in them
Printer ink scam where printer reads cartridges as empty where they really have 30% or more ink left in them. My printer has 4 separate cartridges, black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. When only one cartridge goes empty then all printing is disabled. When you replace the empty cartridge all the other ones now read empty on the ink monitor where previously the showed 30% or more. This is a costly scam where I have to replace cartridges that are not empty. When a color cartridge goes empty, but black is still full, I can't even print in black and white. I have been using genuine Brother cartridges and have run into this problem repeatedly. Ink volumes also go down for no reason on the monitor even when I haven't printed anything. This is very costly and infuriating that a company would resort to that to make customers buy ink all the time. It's also tremendous waste throwing away ink cartridges that still have a lot of ink left in them because the computer chip in them forces the printer to read them as empty. Shame on this company.
I purchased a Brother MFC-J4335DW on December 16 from Amazon
I purchased a Brother MFC-J4335DW on December 16 from Amazon. I was great until the end of Jan 2022 then it began wrinkling and jamming every sheet of paper that was fed from the main tray. Single sheets feed and print fine. I called Brother Support on Jan 31, 2022 and was told that a replacement was being sent overnight to me. On Feb 1, *** shipping and was assigned Reference # ***-001450. On Feb 3, 2022 I again called Brother Support and was told that there are no replacement printers to ship and that there is no time frame for having any. I asked if it could be replaced with another model or if my purchase could be refunded. Both answers were no. The window to return to Amazon closed on Feb 1, 2022. I did not return to Amazon on Feb 1 because Brother Support told me that one was being overnight-ed to me. Your warranty provides that you will "repair, replace or refund" during the warranty period. Now I have to go purchase a printer while I wait for a unknown period of time. Please refund my purchase price as I have the receipt.

I have been trying to return a sewing machine case model ****, that I purchased because it was advertised as working with my embroidery machine
I have been trying to return a sewing machine case model ***, that I purchased because it was advertised as working with my embroidery machine. The case does not fit the entire embroidery machine - the machine has to be dismantled and then will only fit part of the machine in the protective case. Because of this, I initiated a return on 12/29. I received a return authorization number ***. In order to complete this return, I was told by the agent who I spoke with on 12/29 that I would receive a *** return label via email. I have not received the label in my spam box, email etc. I have called twice and left a message regarding the *** label via the online support offered through my personal brother account. Neither of these forums were successful. On 1/4, I called and was put on hold for 1 hr and 20 mintues before being told by the agent that the department I needed to speak with was closed for the day ( my time was 3.30pm California). On 1/5, I attempted another call and have currently been on hold again for 45 minutes. I have not received a response from the online forum.

Issues with obtaining the correct replacement needle for my serger from Brother
I have contacted Brother on several occasions to replace a needle for my serger. I was told they don't carry this part and was referred to authorized retailers. I have purchased the needle from authorized retailers and received the wrong one. I again called Brother and was told they do carry the needle I asked the representative if they were sure this is the correct part and was assured that it was. When I received it in the mail, it was the wrong part. I called back and spoke with the parts department and was told they will put in an order for the correct part and send it to me free of charge. I never received a confirmation email regarding my part. I again called Brother and was told the part is unavailable but will be shipped to me in January 2022. However, prior to me calling them, no one gave me the courtesy of a phone call or email stating this. At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding a refund on the machine. The representative stated I could not get a refund from Brother since I purchased it from a third-party retailer. I never received a phone call from a supervisor. I don't understand why Brother is making a machine that they don't have replacement parts for. I am a custom clothing designer and this is affecting my business. I would like a refund or replacement serger.

I had purchased Brother HL-L5200DWT few months ago
I had purchased Brother HL-L5200DWT few months ago. It began jamming paper and got worse, it would jam every 15 pages. I contacted support many times. The support specialists are really terrible and at their job. I had to cancel work appointments, be late to appointments, print and reprint so many pages and then take the jammed ones/incorrectly printed to shred, costing me stress, energy, time, and money. Finally, they send me a replacement, but replacement came in wrong: it did not have the second tray nor toner holder. My paper jams would occur in cartridge holder and tray 2, the exact pieces that are missing in replacement. They told me they are not going to sent me the full replacement. Replacement is refurbished and not new, which is not acceptable! The replacement started jamming at exact same page of the package. I read online that there are certain codes that will make paper jam on exact same pages of the document package on Mac, but NOT on Windows. Many of my colleagues told me they can only use Windows computers with Mac. Brother is not admitting this, even though everyone seems to know about this! When I printed with replacement machine, the set of few legal documents are scooted down - bottom page text is cut off and there is lots of space on the top of page. I called Brother and they told me the printer is fine and issue is Adobe. I contacted Adobe and Adobe told me that I have to contact Brother. Everyone in my industry uses and HAS to used Adobe to open PDFs. Brother is not willing to replace the machine, refund me, or do anything. This has been the most terrible and stressful experience I had in the last few years.

I purchased two brothers printers
I purchased two brothers printers. Within months of purchasing, the printers malfunctioned. I called brothers hotline and the representative was unable to rectify the issues. She sent me links to rectify the matters but nothing worked. I asked that they switch out my printers because I have warranties on them but my request was ignored. For months I tried to get my printers to work but to no avail. I contacted brothers again asking for help and requesting that they honor the warranties. Again, my request was ignored. The representative again sent me links to follow in order to get my printers working but to no avail. I then sent an email requesting assistance. The response that I received back was that they would call me on a Tuesday at 5:15 to discuss the matter. The day came and Brothers did not call me. I sent an e-mail to Brothers advised that they had missed the call back time that they had arranged. I recently received an e-mail from Brothers asking what the issue are. I have explained to Brothers on more than four occasions as to what the issues are. These issues have occurred for over 6 months, are still the same and I have requested again that Brothers replace my printers. Complaintsboard.com, please help me. It is not fair for big business to take consumers money and not honor their warranties and give the consumers the run around. Every single instruction rendered by Brothers, I have adhered to and yet my printers do not work. I have tried to resolve this matter but my request is constantly being ignored. the printers are needed for my kids school work and work. It is unfair that I spent hundreds of dollars for printers and yet Brothers is giving the run around to replace them. Complaintsboard.com, please help!

I purchased directly from Brother and they have a 30 day return policy if you have not opened the box, unfortunately to see if the printer works
I purchased directly from Brother and they have a 30 day return policy if you have not opened the box, unfortunately to see if the printer works you need to "open the box". This printer did not work well with my Chromebooks or Lenovo Laptop as it would go to sleep and not wake up.. There is no "wake-up" button on the printer so you are left to unplug it hook up computer directly to it. The software for this machine was written in the 90's likely and they have just added on to it as it is bulky and not user friendly. When it was able to print it was good quality I tried to return as deep sleep was a problem and cannot be turned off, however they do not have a phone number to contact and keep offering more complex solutions to the problem. There may be a way to have it work in a wireless environment but I do not want to spend hours configuring devices only to have an update down the road unravel everything. If you are hooking up with a USB cable (bring your own as they do not provide) then this printer will be fine. If you are not running Windows 95 then look elsewhere. I purchased an HP from Costco, took about 15 min to set-up with 5 IOS devices, 2 chrome books and one Lenovo Laptop and has worked flawlessly. HP has a 30 day return policy if you should happen to "open" the product to test in your house. The support has been quick to offer complex solutions I must say. Dreadful return policy. I submitted this as a review to Brother and they willnot post on their website let alone try to help me. They Cherry pick what reviews get posted and are not transparent on their return policy, HP, Canon, etc all allow you to opne the product an return. they should have a disclaimer on their website when you purchase their printers that they have a strict return policy that outised of the norm for their industry.

On Friday, April 9th, early in the morning I went to use my Brother HL-L2395DW to scan some documents
On Friday, April 9th, early in the morning I went to use my Brother HL-L2395DW to scan some documents. Please note I have this device for a few months and have NEVER had a problem, until now! When I went to use it, it was showing in the device's digital screen that a Firmware was needed to be downloaded and installed. I accepted of course. Device rebooted and I thought all was good. There is when my nightmare started. Device would NOT scan anymore. It would print fine but not scan. Scan makes noise as if it is scanning and you get the dialog 'Reading From Device' but then it fails with with error TW5-101-0x40500001 followed by Error CC4-205-[protected]. Device was working just fine BEFORE the firmware pushed by Brother Corp. I spent my entire day trying to fix the issue. I work with IT for over 25 years so I know exactly what I am doing. I finally gave up and called support. Spoke with Anita. Condescending, did not know what she was doing, everything I would say she would interrupt me and treat me as I did not know what I was doing i when she was obviously reading from a script and also multitasking with I don't know what. Finally she told me to contact the computer manufacturer because i did not want to disable my firewall. Computer manufacturer?!?!? Problem is with the Brother device not my computer! Chatted with Patt as well and no help. Told me they needed to escalate the issue. I have tried: 1. Completely removed and reinstalled the Brother Software. Using their uninstall program and others. Fails 2. Tried rebooting router. Not needed but tried anyways. Fails 3. Removed Brother Software and Printer/Scanner. Cleaned up Registry. Reinstalled both. Fails 4. Using device commands, Reset Setup and Network. Fails 5. Tried using a USB. Fails 6. Tried from 2 other computers (1 Surface Pro 4 and a HP Notebook). Fails

We just bought a new HL L2395DW, and we own a Macbook pro. Although we went to both Brother's website as well as Apples and followed the instructions, we are unable to scan multiple documents to save as one file on our machine that has no document feeder. We would like brother to exchange this machine for one that can save more than one document as one file.
