We had Budget Exteriors replace 14 windows, a sliding door and a screen door. Ott, the lead, Patrick and Tyler were a wonderful crew to work with. They installed all the windows very professionally and they look wonderful! Our house in no longer drafty from leaky windows. It was so cold out yet they all worked hard and steady in the freezing cold! Offered to have them come in to warm up but they just kept working. Wonderful work ethic! Will have you do more work in the future!

I needed attic insulation in my home. Budget Exteriors came out to do the job. The 2 gentlemen were wonderful! They gave me a complete run-down on what they were doing and why. The job was carefully and professionally completed, leaving no mess or disruption. They showed me just what they had done, patiently explaining and answering all of my "layman" questions and never once becoming frustrated if I asked them to re-explain! I hired Budget Exteriors in the fall if 2020 to replace one window, replace some gutters and install leafguard. While their initial sales call was a bit unconventional, they quote high and then you negotiate down to a price you can live with, I couldn't have been happier and more satisfied with the work performed. It was done the way I wanted, the workmen were very professional and covid conscious. I'm satisfied with the quality of products used and their workmanship. I will contact Budget Exteriors for future projects.

We had both Windows and Siding done on our house with in the past year and a half. Both times were very pleasant and professional. The work was beautifully done, and efficient. Workers were delightful and professional. They were also very good at making sure they cleaned up after themselves and any debris that was on the ground. Sales people and project managers were very willing to communicate and make adjustments if something wasn't going to work the way it initially was suppose to go. My house looks like a brand new home and we LOVE it!

I had Budget Exteriors come out to give me an estimate for attic insulation. Their rep looked at the attic and I told him what I needed done. I told him I was working through a county grant and they would like an itemized estimate. He said he would get it to me by the end of the week or the following week. Two weeks went by with no contact. I finally called them and the rep said they were too busy to give me an itemized estimate. Is it that difficult to write down what you're going to do and how much it will cost? Thanks for nothing and wasting my time. Don't bother with these guys.

An excellent experience! Our new storm door has two pneumatic closers but only came with one clasp to hold the door open. Our installer went out of his way to get a 2nd clasp so now it's convenient to either short or tall folks who need to prop the door open. He did a great job cleaning up every last speck of packaging and building materials from the yard; and not a bad singer while he worked ;) We've worked with five or six different contractors for a variety of home improvements in the last few years. Budget Exteriors is definitely one of the best. From sales to installation, follow-up, and billing, each person was knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant.

They were quick. Today is February 25th, the middle of winter; snow and cold. I didn't expect the work to be happening until later in the spring, but the temperature was in the 30's and they were here, they scheduled the work ahead of time and performed it beautifully. They cleared the snow and removed the old shingles and put the new roof up in one day. I will say they did half the roof in far less time than I would have thought possible. Note: they did the North facing roof, the public-facing side of my home, because of my financial need. They worked with me and got financing for me. I was/am very satisfied and would/do recommend them. By the way, they do other things besides just roofing. If you need something done, if I were you, I'd check them out.

We were satisfied with the windows that we had installed. The installer was very professional and had the windows installed very quickly, even coming out during a snowstorm. There was minimal disruption to our house while he was there and he cleaned up any messes that were made, which was very important to us as we have two large dogs that we didn't want stepping on any debris. The only thing that would have gotten five stars is that the sales people put a lot of pressure on you to make an appointment and to say yes. We had had a number of quotes for windows and these guys were more reasonable than others that had come out, but the pressure to buy and to schedule appointments is rather annoying. I prefer to make decisions on my own terms and not just because someone won't accept no for an answer.

My husband and I have now used Budget Exteriors for two jobs at our partially remodeled 1913 home in MN. We are so happy and pleasantly surprised with their attentive and truly quality customer service, above and beyond workmanship, scheduling, timeliness and pricing. In these times especially of skyrocketing materials pricing and long waits for supply chains to open up, we've had smooth sailing with Budget Exteriors. We have had our soffit/fascia replaced and gutters installed with them, and now had our attic re-insulated and air exchange improved. We are completely satisfied with both jobs and have a whole list of other projects that we'll be using this company for in the future. It's so nice to have found a company we feel we can trust as we slowly make our way through the long list of household improvement projects.

Very satisfied customer! The difference maker is Budget Exteriors. My house is a one and one-half story, built in 1947, located (cold climate) in MN. Bought 14 years ago and during that time done several renovations (room by room). This project easily ranks as best when comparing it to the rest. Other companies failed where Budget Exteriors succeeds. Their teams of sale representatives, customer service, scheduling, financing, and installers were friendly, professional, and communicated well. I always felt comfortable, never pressured and didn't have to wonder because every question was answered to the degree I felt satisfied. Had four attic areas insulated. Work was done to the exact scope discussed. At completion immediately noticed a temperature improvement in the areas below the attics. My only regret is I didn't use Budget Exteriors for the prior projects/renovations. Needless to say I am calling Budget Exteriors for my future projects. To Budget Exteriors, thank you! Nathaniel

Budget Exteriors did a fantastic job applying additional insultation to our attic. They arrived as agreed upon and explained the plan to us. They brought tarps to reduce the potential mess and reduce clean up. They also shad the task of applying a spray foam around a skylight and gave us a rough estimate on the time they would be doing this task, given it was to have a noteworthy odor. They got to work and did a great job keeping us informed. About 20 minutes before they were to begin the foam spraying, they let us know so we could vacate, which my wife did and took our bird with her. I stayed. The odor was not bad given they used fans to help address the issue. Following completion of the job and a thorough cleaning, the installers took the time to show us pictures of their work and explain everything they saw and did. A couple days following completion, we received copies of the pictures for documentation. We were extremely happy with the workmanship and would use Budget Exteriors again in the future. Thank you for your fantastic customer service.

My husband and I had soffit, fascia, and gutters done by Budget Exteriors and were very pleased with the results. The project plan was laid out well and the work done quickly. We had two crews come out, the first was for the soffit and fascia and they were friendly and open to answering any questions I had. The second crew did the gutters, I was not present when they were there but my husband was impressed with them and mentioned that they were very friendly and showing him how they did what they do. My only real complaints, if you can call them that, were the project scheduling and getting some left over materials picked up. We initially thought the project would be scheduled on certain days but ended up getting a call a few weeks after agreeing to the work saying they would be out the next day. We also had a box of left over materials that were left behind, I called and was told they would pick them up that week and no one came. I did have to call again but they were very apologetic and said they would pick it up within the next 2 days and they did. My conclusion...I would definitely use them to do other projects in the future. Thanks for making my house look better! Angela W.

Budget Exteriors, presented a good package of windows to go into our application. Replacing 1959 windows with state of the art vinyl windows was a good proposal. These were the largest windows in my home, and I wanted these windows to match the feel of the rest of the trim in the main areas to look coordinated. The vinyl with wood grain texture matched my other wood door trim very well. The one all white vinyl window of the group did not have a traditional installation and Tim ( my installer ) made it look just like i envisioned it should look. That window had no traditional extension jamb or ranch trim. With the tongue and groove material I provided, Tim rapidly understood and implemented that window, with the end result that looks like it has always been there. The exterior trim / brick mold looks very good as well. White vinyl exterior with white brick mold looks standard and appropriate. Tim is an expert at caulking ... I wish I was that good at caulking. Budget Exteriors did the sales presentation well, proposed a financing package that worked , followed up to make sure that I was aware of the timeframe for installation, and provided a quality installation that I can show off and recommend.

We were pleased with our meeting where we received a quote for insulating several exterior walls. The reps from Budget Exteriors worked with us determine our expectations and came up with a plan to accomplish our goals while staying within a price point that we thought was reasonable. Their expertise in assesing a project is clearly top notch. When the work was being done, they informed me that they were training some new employees while working on our project. This did not cause any issues as they completed the work in the amount of time which they had estimated. In fact, I was impressed with the lead techs ability to teach and relay the process and technique to the new employees. I felt the new employees had a good trainer and an excellent training experience. I was able to look over their work as they were injecting the RetroFoam into the walls from the outside and witnessed that it is an inherently messy process, but the finished work and the cleanup met my expectations. Also, they were thoughtful in their continually checking the inside of the house for any seeping of the foam into the living space. I will say that these guys did not show up in uniforms, but they were ready to work, they were respectful of our property and seemed genuinely interested in doing a good job. They were also really polite. I will be glad to work with these guys again.

Budget Exteriors has been great, from A through Z. Lou, who has come to our house, made it work for us. We are on a fixed income and can't just write out a check and pay for it. He assessed our situation and worked out an affordable way for us to replace 5 windows. He goes the extra mile to make it work. Tim, the fellow that installed our windows, arrived promptly, and got to work on replacing our windows. Our house was built in 1950. Lead was in the paint, so Tim followed all the protocol, using plastic to protect us from any exposure. He works by himself, and gets the job done at an unbelievable pace. Removing the old windows, installing the new, caulking, and finishing the trim…. Tim did it all! While replacing the windows, Tim noticed the material behind our wood siding was “mushy." Tim didn't mince words; he said it needed to be replaced. Before Tim finished the trim on the windows, Lou was at our house helping us figure out a way to replace our siding. We'll be having Budget Exteriors replace our siding in December. Lou figured out a way we can get it done at a reasonable cost with a low interest rate if we need financing. Tim finished his work, cleaned up, and was on his way after I signed a few papers. I still can't believe he can lift up windows and install them all by himself! There's no evidence he was even here except for the shiny new windows he left behind. I hope we have the same good luck with the siding!

They came out quickly to increase the ventilation to the soffits of our house this past fall to help battle a condensation build up issue in the attic space during the winter. The job took a couple of days and the crew were very efficient and did advise that they could not see the ends of the vent baffles, which could impede airflow and cause any condensation build up to drip down into the wall insulation. This winter we had again had condensation building up in the attic space of our house that resulted in water damage in three of the four corners of the ceiling and additional condensation forming on the recessing lighting housings, causing it to drip down into the dinning room and raise concerns of an electrical fire. They came out in a timely manner, assessed the attic space and recommended that we replace the existing matt insulation with blown insulation, seal the recessed light housings, add baffles to every available space between the beams and install them all properly. The technicians did a walk through to make sure all recessed light housings were identified for sealing (more on that later) and they began the work. It took most of the day and when they were done they cleaned everything, showed me all of the pictures they took of the attic, had me take a look inside and for the first time since purchasing the house I actually felt air moving in the attic. The only issue I noticed after they left was I had forgotten a light housing in the bathroom over the shower and there was fiberglass insulation inside it and resting on top of the glass. It's clearly visible every time I turn that light on. At this point in time it doesn't appear to be an issue as no fiberglass has dropped down into the shower and no condensation issues have been noticed since the installation. No premature melting spots on the roof either to indicate any excessive loss of heat. It could be argued that the installation techs could have sealed the housing anyway despite missing it in the walkthrough considering they also put sealant around where electrical wires passed through the attic space but the argument could also be made that the whole purpose of the walkthrough was to identify what needed to be sealed. All in all, I found everyone I've encountered at Budget Exteriors to be courteous and straightforward every single time. The gentleman who initially came out to inspect the attic was very honest with his opinion and even provided the name of someone who could address the water stains from the condensation. It's possible we could have gotten away with only sealing all of the recessed light housings and putting in all of the baffles while leaving the existing insulation to save money since there was no evidence of hot spots on the roof (no premature melting on the roof during the winter) but that's pure speculation. I'd be happy to hire them again for additional home improvement projects in the future.

Have been scheduling window warranty replacement appointments for a very long time.(years actually) More reasons for none of them ever showing up than I can can share in this space but I have lots of emails and texts on file. Windows warped and wont seal-molding at seals- ice buildup every morning inside. Highest heating and cooling bill in 100 sample houses per report from utility company for years. Hundreds of texts and emails and I cant take it anymore. Maybe this formal complaint will make something happen. Been told the Windows are in their possession for months now to do the replacement. Many stories of wrong windows coming to them-losing them-installer keeping at home losing? Excuse after excuse. Just want them put in.

On December 14th, I signed a contract to have insulation put into my attic and roof vents added to my house. I sat down with David G and agreed to have the work performed. I was under the understanding that the old insulation would be removed and all new insulation would be installed but what happened was they just added to it. I was also under the understanding that on my walls in the half story that insulation would be installed on all the walls for an additional 700 but it was only installed on the access doors. They came later that month to perform the work, I left work early so they could get into my house. I questioned the workers about it and they stated that they are doing it the way they were told. They had to come back and do the roof vents. They came back in February to install them. A week after that someone called about the work and I stated to them about what was told to me and what was actually done, he quickly moved on to the roof vents and I said that it just snowed and I haven't seen them yet. I called in March because they were not sitting flush like the rest of my roof vents were sitting, I left a message and no one called so I waited 3 weeks and called again, talked to someone and they said that I need to call Chris before 330. I called the next day and Chris was out, left another message. It's now April, called again and no call back. I called in May and talked to Chris and he said they were really busy and he would call me back and still no call back. Called in June twice and still no call back. I called July 16th and left another message and Chris finally called back and stated they would be out next week Thursday the 23rd of July, he asked for a pic of my roof so he knew what kind of ladder to bring and I said the receipt chicken ladder so you don't need a picture. They never showed up on the 23rd and I have still not heard from them and it's now 3 weeks later. I can't even read the writing on the contract but that's their way to hide things.
