After three years with this firm we are now not getting the service which was promised on our contract
After three years with this firm we are now not getting the service which was promised on our contract. The local office and the home office are not agreeing to service the termite baiting stations. The company does not inform you when they are going to perform service, claim our file states not to contact us (fictitious) and when we subsequently set up an appointment for last Monday, they stated the appointment was on Tuesday. This is also not true as the local technician told us the appointment would be on a Monday Account_Number: aXXXXXXXX

This company took over the original company that I hired
This company took over the original company that I hired. We had a termite contract that was fulfilled In 2019 after a long dispute and they said we did not owe them anymore money. That 4/10 payment was final. They are not allowed on our property and have not been on our property since almost they took over. The payment was $167 for 5 years. We have fulfilled that contract. They are now billing us $187 for this termite contract. I feel they are trying to scam us. I can not reach anyone by phone because I do not consider myself a current customer and do not want to establish service. I hired another service as they told me last year I was not protected. I paid bug out about $2000.00 in February to help me with a problem with rats
I paid bug out about $2000.00 in February to help me with a problem with rats. They said they would seal my house from rats and kill any that got in. No one came to seal my house until I called them and asked why they had not come to my house. A young guy showed up and asked me what I wanted done. I did not know how to answer because I hired them to get rid of rats. He he sealed some holes and laid some traps up in my attic. Two weeks later a horrible smell and huge blackflies were filling my house I called the company and they said they would have somebody out in four days. I said that was not acceptable because I had the stench of dead rats and huge flies in my house and they've got somebody there the next day to get rats. The stench was still there so I called again and they found another fead rat. I asked them to come and clean up the all the flies.

Bug Out came to my office to give me a proposal and switched the forms for a contract
Bug Out came to my office to give me a proposal and switched the forms for a contract. I called Bug out over a week ago to give me an estimate for termite services. Mr. James C. came to my office and we sat down and talked about the proposal. In the end I asked did I need to sign the proposal he stated yes. I also told him that I needed a proposal for pest control services, he came back to my office 3 days late with what was another contract, and I told him I did not sign contracts with him, I only wanted proposals. He left my staff informed me that he had been coming to my office daily attempting to intimidate us into working with them, stating I signed a contract which I had no idea and that was not the call I made to them. Mr James C. and another man came to my office today to attempt to intimidate me again saying that we had to do service with them. I would have never signed a contract for $42,000 with anyone. I do not have the authority to do so, and I could lose my job for their crooked behavior.

Bug Out was supposed to remove old insulation, sanitize area and apply spray insulation to meet zone requirements for Florida
Bug Out was supposed to remove old insulation, sanitize area and apply spray insulation to meet zone requirements for Florida. When Bug Zout finished, I had mike Murphy , home inspector , to check it out. He sent pictures and details about what was done -tresses were not covered, insulation was 2" in some areas and8" in other areas- and what they applied did not meet requirements for our zone. Tim said they would come back, but it would be the same individuals - from what they did first time - they are not qualified or trained to properly do insulation. I have not been able to get questions answered- they want to charge me for areas not done ( the square footage is not accurate)and even after sending them pictures and information from home inspector- his information was not addressed. They scheduled their crew to come back to my house without any notice or contact, after I had emailed them not to come! ( which I thought was very unprofessional) I do not want anything else to do with this company. Thank you

I cancelled service 4/3 they are attempting to bill me on 4/14
I cancelled service 4/3 they are attempting to bill me on 4/14. They falsely claim I did not pay on 3/15. I have a receipt. I rented an older house by the beach. When I moved in we found rats, and roaches. I called bug out. First off they never said my service was "outdoor only." I repeatedly mentioned indoor issues, they never said you're signed up for outdoor service. I called them several times to complain about issues inside the house on 4 occasions, again I was not informed that perhaps I was signed to the wrong service. In the end, frustrated, I ended up using pesticide from home depot and rat traps purchased from e-bay at my own expense, and moved away first chance. When I cancelled the service, they continued to bill me. I called to complain about the billing, got a callback from a supervisor and they falsely accused me of having an unpaid balance from the previous month. The billing was for 4/15. I cancelled on 4/3. They tried to say didn't pay on 3/15, but I have a receipt for payment (see attached). So they never really helped with the pests, and they are trying to charge me for service after I cancelled. They claim someone was there 4/1, I was home all day my company had already moved me to work from homeI saw no one, and no one knocked on the door from Bug Out. I have a photo of the current bill dated 4/14 as well if needed.

Inspector reported no termite damage to the house and we found significant damage & bug our refuses to fix it We hired Bug Out in February
Inspector reported no termite damage to the house and we found significant damage & bug our refuses to fix it We hired Bug Out in February during the due diligence period of purchasing our home to inspect for termite damage. The inspector documented that no previous damage had been done. Recently we noticed our sub floor was almost collapsing and soft so we called Bug Out out to see what was going. The technician that came out mentioned their was significant termite damage in the crawl space that could have definitely been noticed had the inspector done his job thoroughly. We realize that not everything can be seen especially behind the walls but since we paid for a termite inspection to prevent issues like this we would have addressed this with the previous owner before closing on this house. Or would have terminated the sale of the house. We have asked Bug Out to fix an issue they missed on their end and they refuse to do it and Jeff Sargent the manager that spoke with us said we need to report it to our homeowners insurance. They are asking us to report it to insurance because they do not want to fix it. Clearly their employees are dishonest and report false information and the company does not hold us to its warranty. We have unfortunately spent thousands of dollars with BUG OUT as we used them for termite inspection & bond, exclusion services and attic insulation replacement and recently renewed our yearly services.

Bugout purchased the business formerly known as A-1 Pest Control
Bugout purchased the business formerly known as A-1 Pest Control. I had used A-1 for more than 15 years. A-1 performed a yearly termite inspection under contract. I had not reaffirmed nor contacted Bugout to continue A-1's previously provided services. Without my permission and without notice, the representative from Bugout entered my property when I was not home and traversed the outside of the home performing an inspection. The individual then left me a bill for the service with a note to call to schedule the inside inspection. On August 3, I wrote a letter to Bugout disputing the charge and complaining about the trepass. On September 17, I received a phone call from Bugout's billing requesting payment. I told the woman on the phone that I disputed the bill in a written communication more than a month ago, told her to check her records, then hung up. She called me back and left me a message that we got cut off and she had her manager on the line. On September 18, I sent another letter again disputing the bill and telling them to discontinue calling me and that I would not be doing business with them ever.On September 24, Bugout called me again seeking to ccllect on the bill. I asked the woman if they ever read their mail? Gave her the address to which I sent the letter and asked if there was another address to send the letter to, but the representative said no. I repeated as well to stop calling me.The former company, A-1, called every year to schedule the termite inspection and NEVER entered my property without my permission. With the change in company, my former contract with A-1 has been terminated and it was my option as to whether or not to continue with Bugout. By trespassing on my property and continually calling to collect on a disputed bill after two written communications, they ensured that I will never do business with them.

company lost payment .removed funds from account without authorization and never notified us. requested cost of stop payment. still waiting! Bug Out PO Box XXXXXX Jacksonville, FL XXXXX-XXXX XXX-XXX-XXXX November 17 *** XXXXX Good afternoon, The ladies at the call center stated that you requested to know when your refund was put into the system. I have sent over the refund to my management and they should be getting the money refunded as soon as possible. Thank you! Tara C. S. Branch Office Administrator Bug Man Pest Control Now in Partnership with Bug Out ***@bugoutservice.com office: XXX-XXX-XXXX Dear MS S., Am in receipt of your email from 11/17. Apparently, your effort to resolve this issue has failed I received a phone call requesting a copy of the bank charge before they will refund 15.00 dollars on a check that you lost. On 7/30 I paid the technician by check you lost the check you never called us. On 10/26 a second technician serviced the residence it was the worst service I have ever seen and his applicator was leaking and left small puddles of pesticide everywhere he walked he was here for 10 minutes left no receipt of pesticides applied and only sign my name on a tablet. I called immediately canceled service and refused to pay for that day. I had to mop up the puddles of pesticide! I have since received an invoice for service on 10/26. worst of all you rifled through records of the company you acquired until you found bank records gleaned a card # and withdrew funds and never told us. We never signed or have seen any agreement for you to continue service. I have requested emails recapping conversations with your staff, I have spoken with no less than 5 staff and yours is the only correspondence I have received. You are not to remove any funds from my bank, destroy any of my financial information you have, remove me from your client list, and revoke the current invoice. If you believe in service recovery, then send me all funds I have paid you and stop this silliness over $15.00 In reviewing your ComplaintsBoard.com complaints there appears to be a pattern of obfuscation and billing issues Please make this the last time I must deal with your company. Fix this problem.

Bug Out trespassed on my property and their handling was unprofessional
Bug Out trespassed on my property and their handling was unprofessional. On Sept 4, 2020 at approximately 1530, a Bug Out employee trespassed on my property to recover what they said was their property (bait traps). I had recently purchased the property and was in contact with Bug Out concerning starting service with them. I ultimately decided to go with a different company around 01SEP. At no point was I contacted or informed they would be coming to retrieve the bait traps. On 04SEP, I was alerted by my security system someone was in the backyard where they had to open gates to gain access (the definition of trespassing). No attempt was made by the technician to knock on the door or ring the doorbell to get permission to enter the premises. I immediately contacted Bug Out and the Sherriff's Department. Duval Sherriff missed the technician being on the property by 3 minutes, otherwise this would have been a completely different scenario. After the technician left the property, I received a phone call from a service manager. He attempted to play off the trespassing as not being able to get in contact with me and the first time he had a contact number was the day of the incident. This is completely false as I had received phone calls from Bug Out weekly seeking to start service. They also had my email on file as they sent me a service contract to be signed (the contract they wanted me to sign was also not what was discussed in person and was a major contributing factor in deciding against their service). The service manager, James, was less than apologetic. I requested, admittedly rather bruskly, an apology and admission of trespassing. The manager was unwilling to accept fault on his employee's behalf but ultimately did apologize and admit culpability in the trespassing. The conversation was concluded on my part with the statement "after this, I am glad I made the decision not to be a customer of Bug Out," to which the manager responded "I am glad you decided not to be as well." The near bait and switch tactics, bullying approach to sales, and now this encounter with criminal implications, I believe is highly unprofessional and warranted reporting. In particular, the closing statement by the manager was uncalled for. I will readily admitted I was angry on the call, but I did just have an unknown person enter my property illegally and was communicating with a manager ill-equipped to deal with the situation.
