SelectSpecs Awful service

I have been using your service for years.

I had previously had no issues and recommended select specs to all.

Not Now. This year the service and communication has been awful.

Made order and paid beginning of sept. 23

I still haven’t recieved anything.

Out of the four pairs of specs I ordered,

two were no longer available. It took them till the 18th to tell me this by phone message.

There was till then, no email and no way to find out the whereabouts of my

glasses. I have now got refund for the two which were unavailable.

Still no idea when the other two will arrive.

Dreadful service. It’s been a month now and all they gave me my postage back as a good will gesture.

Recommendation: Buy somewhere else

SelectSpecs SelectSpecs: Quality Glasses at a Reasonable Price

I had the measles when I was a youngin' and it left me with only peripheral vision in my right eye. It's been a struggle for me, especially since I'm starting to get cataracts. I've been feeling pretty vulnerable lately and I've been fussin' about the glasses I wear. I'm also pretty price sensitive, so I've had a hard time finding opticians who can meet my needs.

But then I found SelectSpecs and they've been a real lifesaver for me. They always offer reasonable prices, even when I buy fancy frames off of eBay. I usually go for their top-of-the-line varifocals, sometimes with added Polaroid or Transitions coatings. This has been a great choice for me since I spend a lot of time in France, including sailing. Their lenses are always carefully marked and when they did make a mistake once, they quickly sent me a free replacement.

In my opinion, even though they're not the cheapest option for Transitions X lenses right now, they've earned their success in a highly competitive market. Quality at a good price will always win out.

SelectSpecs Terrible Experience with SelectSpecs: Discontinued Glasses and Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with SelectSpecs. I ordered some glasses on July 29th and two days later they told me that the glasses I wanted were discontinued. They asked me to choose a substitute, which I did. But then, six days later, they sent me another email saying that the glasses I chose were on sale and no longer available. What a bummer! It's been nine days since I placed my order and nothing has been done. I'm flying out in a week and I need glasses to drive. I'm so mad and upset, and this is causing me a lot of inconvenience. I'll have to spend a lot more money because of SelectSpecs' incompetence. Their customer service should be called "Customer don't give a ?$$% without care". They still have my money, too! I told them I would complain to the Consumer Ombudsman and leave a bad review, and they just said "yes sure, go ahead".

I've bought glasses from SelectSpecs before, and they're cheap and poorly made. You'll need at least three pairs to last the year. They're cheap, just like their customer service and quality. It's a real shame.

SelectSpecs Unreliable and Unprofessional: My Disappointing Experience with SelectSpecs

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with SelectSpecs. I thought I was being smart by ordering my glasses online, but boy was I wrong. First off, my order was delayed for over a month! Can you believe that? Meanwhile, my local optician, Boots, could have had my glasses ready in just 7 working days. Lesson learned, I guess.

But that's not even the worst part. When my glasses finally did arrive, I was really disappointed with the anti-glare coating. It was just terrible quality. I complained to SelectSpecs, but all they offered me was a discount on a second pair from their 'Sliver' range. I didn't even really need another pair, but I figured it couldn't hurt to have a spare. So I paid £30 for the second pair, which turned out to be a really poor selection. And then, to make matters worse, I was hit with an additional charge of £55 because the cost of the lenses had gone up since I placed my order. Can you believe it?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend SelectSpecs to anyone. They're just really unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy. If you're looking for glasses, do yourself a favor and go to a real optician where you can try on frames and get some real advice. Don't make the same mistake I did.

SelectSpecs Disappointing Experience with SelectSpecs.com: Frames Cracked Twice and Poor Customer Service

So, I recently ordered some reading glasses from SelectSpecs.com and boy was I disappointed. First off, the lenses were not equalled out like most places do, and they didn't even bother to ask. After waiting what felt like an eternity, I finally received my glasses and they looked nice. But after only using them a few times, the frames cracked while they were on my head! Can you believe it? I sent pictures and had to send them back and wait for another pair, which was supposed to arrive within 7 days, but it didn't. So, I couldn't even read my bills or documents.

Finally, I received another pair and after only wearing them three times, the same thing happened - the frames cracked again, but only on one side this time. There was no warning in the description of the frames that they were only suitable for certain lenses. I contacted SelectSpecs.com again and asked if equaling out the lenses and making them thinner would help. I also asked for a refund because I didn't want them again as is. I even have photos to share!

But guess what? They just offered me a refund for less than what I paid and didn't even bother to explain or apologize. They didn't even offer to thin the lenses at a reduced cost or anything. They explained nothing both times. I have emails to prove it if you don't believe me.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend SelectSpecs.com to anyone. You get no explanation, just a refund for less money than you paid. It's a total rip-off and a waste of time.

SelectSpecs Warning: Terrible Experience with SelectSpecs and Yodel Delivery Partner - Do Not Buy!

I just had to come back and update my review about SelectSpecs. I was supposed to receive my latest delivery on the 24th of December, and I waited the whole day for it. I even got a delivery slot in between two hours, but to my surprise, the delivery guy cancelled my slot and said they couldn't find my address. I was beyond frustrated with SelectSpecs and their terrible partner Yodel.

I really don't want anyone else to go through what I went through, so I'm here to tell you to please, please, please do not buy from this terrible company. It's not worth the mental health, time, or energy.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel like it's my duty to warn others about my experience. It's been three weeks since I ordered my prescription glasses, and it's been a nightmare. The first time, the parcel got lost by their most terrible delivery partner, Yodel. I waited for two weeks, seeing the same status on Yodel's website, and I called them three times. I found out that the parcel was probably lost.

Then, I had to call SelectSpecs and explain the situation. They said they would send a new pair, but it's been one week, and I haven't even received a tracking number. I asked them to send it before Christmas, and they said it should arrive before Christmas. I have no hope, though.

I highly recommend that you do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money and go with a better glasses company. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration.

Update number two: I received an email from SelectSpecs that they sent my order today, and guess what? It's being delivered by Yodel again. I continuously requested that they not send the order by Yodel, but they didn't care at all. It just shows how little they value their customers.

SelectSpecs Poorly Constructed Glasses and Terrible Customer Service from SelectSpecs

My experience with SelectSpecs was not a good one. I ordered a pair of spectacles from their website, but when they arrived, the frame was faulty and poorly constructed. The arms of the frame were wobbling, which caused me major issues as I suffer from Meniere's Disease. Any disturbance in my vision can trigger rotational vertigo and motion sickness.

When I contacted SelectSpecs to request a refund, they made me jump through hoops. They demanded that I send photos of the glasses, even though I told them that a photo would not show the issue with the arms of the frame. They also refused to send me a hard copy of their Returns form, even though I had no facility to print an emailed one. Instead, they told me to copy the lengthy form 'word for word'.

To make matters worse, they would not send me new glasses until I returned the faulty ones, so I was left without any glasses. I decided to return the glasses via recorded/signed for delivery, as I had already been told in writing that I should not pay for return postage for a faulty item. However, when SelectSpecs received the returned spectacles, they denied that they had received the lanyard which was placed in the same parcel and refused to refund me for it. They also refused to refund me for the return postage costs.

I asked them to rectify this, referring to their email in which they said clearly that I would not have to pay return postage costs. However, they still refused to pay. I also asked them three times to give me information about their official complaints procedure and the contact details for their CEO, but they avoided giving me the information in every reply.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from SelectSpecs. It was awful, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

SelectSpecs SelectSpecs Review: Poor Quality Frames and Customer Service

I recently ordered five pairs of spectacles from SelectSpecs for my family. Unfortunately, there were some delays in shipping and I had trouble getting clear information about European shipping from their customer service team. After a few weeks, the order finally arrived. The spectacles were of average quality, with four of them being reading glasses that were okay, but the screws kept loosening every week, which was frustrating for my wife and daughter.

The main pair of glasses I ordered were for driving, with green Transitions lenses. At first, they were great, but after just three months of use, the dark external coating on the frames started to ripple on the arms around the ears, making them uncomfortable to wear. I emailed SelectSpecs while I was in the UK for Easter for two weeks, but they replied late and I had already left the UK to go back home. They suggested a simple solution of sending me replacement arms that I could fit myself and then send back the faulty ones, but unfortunately, their technicians refused to understand this simple logic and common sense.

I couldn't do without my glasses, so I had to live with them, but they have only gotten worse over time. Now, I can see signs of the coating coming off the front face of the frames, and soon enough, they will look really ugly and become like the sides. Unfortunately, there is no option other than to send the complete frames back, which will cost me extra money and leave me without my driving glasses for a period of time. I have no idea what they will do in the end.

While SelectSpecs offers a great many options online, I found that the quality of their frames was worse than those I have ordered from Chinese websites in the past. Only because of the green Transitions lenses did I choose this company. In the future, I will stay away from them. While I know that many people have had good experiences with SelectSpecs, I don't believe they care when an issue happens to individuals.

My advice to others is to be cautious when ordering from SelectSpecs.

SelectSpecs My Frustrating Experience with SelectSpecs: Poor Communication, Delays, and Disappointing Product

I recently had an experience with SelectSpecs that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I placed an order for a pair of Maui Jim Ohai prescription sunglasses on February 5th, 2022. However, a month later, I reached out to them to inquire about the status of my order, only to find out that they had forgotten about it and hadn't even started working on it yet. They apologized profusely, but to me, their apologies felt empty and meaningless.

They promised to reimburse me for shipping and a portion of the glasses, but I have yet to see any of that money. Today's date is March 5th, 2022, and I'm still waiting for my order to arrive. At first, I was understanding of the situation, but as time went on, I became increasingly frustrated with the excuses and lack of communication from SelectSpecs.

It took them an average of 5-8 days to reply to my emails, which was incredibly frustrating. They kept offering me free glasses, which I didn't need, instead of putting that money towards a discount on my sunglasses. I never asked for anything besides the product I ordered, but they just kept offering me things that I didn't want or need.

In April, my order failed quality control, and they had to start over. However, they didn't reach out to me to let me know what was going on. I had to email them first to figure out what was happening. It felt like I had to babysit them throughout the entire process, and they never initiated any communication with me.

Finally, on March 5th, 2022, I received my glasses. However, they sent me matte black prescription lenses with non-prescription Hawaiian lava lenses. What good is that going to do me? On top of that, they sent the lava lenses unattached to the frames, with no instructions or tools to do the swap. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience overall.

It's no wonder that SelectSpecs is downsizing and closing branches in the USA and Canada. They don't seem to care about their customers or their needs. Communication is poor, and they don't handle things well. Spending $400 on glasses that come in pieces with no instructions is unacceptable.

I have email after email to prove my statement, and I wish I could share photos of how things were sent and show you some of the emails. It was a headache and a nightmare dealing with SelectSpecs, and I wouldn't recommend doing business with them.

I recently had an experience with SelectSpecs (selectspecs.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I ordered a pair of intermediate glasses with BlueGuard and anti-everything coatings for computer work. However, when the glasses arrived, they were distance glasses instead. I immediately contacted customer service to rectify the situation.

To my surprise, the customer service representative insisted that the mistake was mine because I did not provide the ADD setting on my prescription. However, I was never informed that this information was necessary, and it was not requested by the experts who made the glasses. Despite my attempts to explain this, the representative refused to discuss the matter further and offered only to fulfill the original order and have me return the glasses at my own expense.

SelectSpecs SelectSpecs.com Review: Poor Quality Control and Customer Service

I recently made two orders from SelectSpecs.com, starting with order # *** this past winter, followed by another pair order # *** switch to *** which showed to be in stock on the 21st of April, 2014. Let's start with the first pair, which was for reading and computer work. I was unsure about the type of lens I should pick, so I asked them for an opinion, and they suggested a progressive type lens. The order took about a month before it got to me.

When I tried them on, I just couldn't see clearly, so of course, I did what many other people do, which is keep them on as we need to get used to them... right? Well, after two weeks, I still couldn't see clearly! I was already out of their return policy, so basically, I was stuck with them. Bear in mind that I did contact SelectSpecs, and they offered me to just change the type of lens at my cost, of course. I just left them in a drawer and completely forgot about them until last week.

Now, the second pair, but this time for distance. It took over 6 weeks before they finally shipped them to me, and once I put them on, there were clearly issues with the lenses, but more so on the right side where nearly 30% of the lens had next to no prescription in it. I have never seen or heard anything close to this happening in my lifetime. I, of course, told them about it and was asked to ship them back. A child would have seen the problem, but somehow, they argued with me from the PD being incorrect to not seeing the problem. They basically did their very best to attempt to pass the blame on to me. I actually had to send them a picture of the glasses and explain the problem with explanations that I would have found embarrassing if I were them, but sure enough, they just couldn't see the problem. They, for sure, have a policy to attempt to pass the blame on the client. After multiple emails without them answering anymore, I sent them an email nearly a week after, explaining how websites such as this one would be useful to denounce them. Within a few hours, they answered me saying that they will reglaze them but never admitted fault as they would have to pay for my shipment cost. Anyway, I finally received them on the 4th week of July. They did a better job this time, but to be honest, I don't trust them at all, so I sent them to a lab last week to see if the glasses have the correct prescription in them. I also sent out my reading glasses to be tested as well.

It was an extremely frustrating experience, and for that reason, I cannot possibly recommend them. Furthermore, there's just no way that they have a quality control department as described on their website.

This is the result for my reading glasses:

No wonder it was blurry and caused so much dizziness. Not only were they completely off, but they actually sent glasses that could harm my eyesight! I have the document from a lab that proves this. Bear in mind that they are well aware of this, but no one contacted me to apologize and offer to fix this. How's that for professionalism?

Of course, when you contact them, they never assume responsibility for anything. That one alone cost nearly $252.00 dollars, and they will gather dust as I obviously cannot use them.

I have visited many review sites about this company after what happened to me, and except for one (this one), all others hammer SelectSpecs.com. Even the Better Business Bureau gave them an "F". I should've done my homework before dealing with them.

I am sure that many end up with the wrong prescription but just don't realize it. They try to adapt to them as they keep on saying to themselves that they saved money. Don't be afraid to blame them. They deal with an obvious cheap and unprofessional company out of China, and we customers have to accept that we are responsible for their errors. I don't think so!

If you order something with them, be aware that if there are issues with your prescription or glasses, I guarantee you that they will attempt to pass on the blame to you. You just have to look at other review sites to see this. If you push it more, they will completely ignore you.

By the way, forget about Trustpilot website, which SelectSpecs proudly has such great reviews. Why? Because Trustpilot actually charges a lot of money to companies such as SelectSpecs to protect them against bad reviews. I fought with them for months before they finally agreed to post my review. The bottom line is that Trustpilot are crooks defending those who pay them and nothing more. A lot of very positive posts are for sure done by SelectSpecs, and of course, some are selected or invented to show that SelectSpecs actually cares and wants to fix the problem when they clearly couldn't care less. You just have to look at my story to see this.

I will also send my story to the Federal government agency in charge of internet fraud with all copies of communication or lack of, copies from the lab report proving that they sent me the wrong prescription that could actually damage my sight. I'm sure I'm not the only one complaining to them, so hopefully, they will have their sites banned from Canada.

Look at many sites and the BBB in North America. The Better Business Bureau gave them an F, which is the worst grade you can get from them. That alone should make you think twice before dealing with them.

At the end of the day, if you have a problem, you didn't save anything at all as you will have to pay to have your glasses shipped back to them, and if they refuse to do anything, then you will have to deal with another office to correct the original mistakes done by SelectSpecs.

Think before you purchase from them. In fact, stay away from that company. Paying a little more from another site could actually save you a lot more money, time, and a lot of frustration.

SelectSpecs Poor Communication and Delayed Delivery - My Experience with SelectSpecs

I ordered from SelectSpecs on the 1st of January 2017, but I still haven't received my glasses! I was really disappointed to find out that they wouldn't be dispatched on time, and I only found out on the day they were supposed to be sent out. The company really needs to work on their communication skills - the emails I received were completely different from the Facebook messages I got. It's a shame that they're so cheap, because their service is really bad. I can't even comment on the glasses themselves, because I still haven't received them - it's been four weeks since I ordered them!

SelectSpecs Select Specs Review: Great Selection, Poor Customer Service and Delivery Times

Select Specs got a lot of frames and lenses to choose from, but their customer service is not that good. Orders take a long time to arrive, and sometimes they don't even show up at all. The worst part is that they don't keep you in the loop about your order, so you're left wondering what's going on.

If you don't want to waste your time and money, it's better to look for another place to buy your glasses. Select Specs might have a lot of options, but their lack of communication and slow delivery times can be a real letdown.

SelectSpecs Mixed Experience with SelectSpecs: Great Customer Service, but Double-Check Your Order!

So, I was watching the telly and I saw an ad for SelectSpecs (selectspecs.com). I thought to myself, "why not give it a go?" and ordered a pair of reading glasses for only six quid. I made sure to attach my latest prescription from my optician to avoid any mix-ups. However, when my glasses arrived, I noticed that the prescription was wrong. I was pretty bummed out, but I decided to send them an email to see if they could sort it out.

To my surprise, they replied pretty quickly and were very helpful in resolving the issue. They apologized for the mistake and offered to send me a new pair with the correct prescription. I was impressed with their customer service and appreciated their willingness to make things right.

Overall, I would say that my experience with SelectSpecs was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, I was disappointed that my order was incorrect in the first place. SelectSpecs Terrible Communication and Wrong Order: My Disappointing Experience with SelectSpecs

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with SelectSpecs. Their communication was just terrible, and it took forever for them to respond to my messages. And when they did finally get back to me, they were just so disorganized and confused.

To make matters worse, they sent me the wrong pair of glasses and one of them had a defect from the manufacturer. I mean, come on, how hard is it to get an order right? They told me to return them so I could pick out a new pair, but then they reneged on that promise and said I couldn't do a new order because I had already reached my return limit. Like, what? That's not my fault, it's theirs!

Honestly, I'm just really unhappy with the whole experience. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

SelectSpecs Disappointing Experience with SelectSpecs: Poor Customer Service and Breach of Privacy

I recently had an experience with SelectSpecs and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. I was surprised to receive an email from them stating that I had placed an order, when in fact, I had never done so. As a pensioner, I am always cautious with my spending and I certainly did not want to be charged for something I did not order.

I immediately raised a ticket with their customer service, but was disappointed to find out that their email service was not reliable and I could not get a response. It took them a staggering 4 to 5 days to reply to my ticket. I then decided to call them, but the operator I spoke to did not seem to understand my issue and I did not make any headway.

What really concerns me is the breach of my personal privacy. How did they get hold of my details and who placed this order? These are questions that remain unanswered and it is very worrying. As a customer, I expect my personal information to be kept confidential and secure.

Overall, my experience with SelectSpecs has been very disappointing and I would not recommend them to anyone. The lack of customer service and breach of privacy is unacceptable. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their services for the sake of their customers.

SelectSpecs Disappointing Delays and Poor Customer Service from SelectSpecs

I gotta say, I've ordered from SelectSpecs twice in the past 3 months and this time I went all out and got myself two pairs of spectacles. But let me tell you, they've been taking their sweet time with the manufacturing and delivery. I mean, come on guys, get a move on! In the past, they've been pretty good with deliveries, but this time around it's been a real drag.

I got an email from them saying there's been a delay and my order will be processed on OR AROUND a certain date. They also said they'll keep me updated if there are any MORE DELAYS. But when I emailed them to ask what's up, they told me their reply service has been extended to 5 to 10 business days! What the heck?! And get this, they even warned me that if I send more emails, it could delay other customers receiving their order! Like, seriously?

I'm just hoping and praying that I'll get my spectacles soon. Who knows when that'll be though? I'm starting to lose faith in this company.

SelectSpecs Terrible Customer Service and Long Wait Time: My Experience with SelectSpecs

SelectSpecs is a website that offers cheap glasses, but the customer service is not up to par. I had to wait for 7 weeks to receive my glasses, and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. They ignored me and read a script to me, which was very frustrating. Even when I talked to the directors, I got the same rubbish. They let down all my expectations, and it seemed like they didn't care at all.

The attitude of everyone at the company was very disappointing. They didn't seem bothered about the problems I was facing. If you decide to use SelectSpecs, make sure you read every minute detail on the website with extreme care. They don't believe they are ever wrong or could mislead you, and they don't think anyone could ever make a mistake.

I would strongly advise against using this company. If you do use them, you will be sorry. The customer service is terrible, and the wait time is too long. It's not worth the hassle.

SelectSpecs Disappointing Experience with SelectSpecs: Lack of Communication and Slow Service

My experience with SelectSpecs was not good. I placed an order a whole month ago, but I didn't get any response after sending a bunch of emails. I was really frustrated, so I decided to contact the company through their chat service. I talked to them four times, but they just gave me excuses. They said things like "We have your frame, now waiting for your glass to be ready" and "We have your glass, now waiting for your frame." But even after they told me these things, I didn't get any updates for another two weeks.

I was really disappointed with the lack of communication from SelectSpecs. I mean, come on, it's not that hard to send a quick email or message to let me know what's going on. I was starting to think that they didn't care about my order at all.

After waiting for so long, I had no choice but to cancel my order. It was really frustrating because I was really looking forward to getting my new glasses. Now I'm left without the glasses I wanted, and I have to start the whole process over again with a different company.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend SelectSpecs to anyone. Their lack of communication and slow service is just not worth the hassle. If you're looking for a reliable glasses company, I suggest you look somewhere else.

SelectSpecs Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with SelectSpecs

I gotta say, SelectSpecs (selectspecs.com) is not the best place to buy glasses from. Their customer service is just plain awful. I ordered a pair of glasses with my prescription, but when they arrived, they were all wrong. I contacted them right away, but they didn't believe me. They said I was wrong and that the glasses were correct. I was so frustrated, I took the glasses to Specsavers to get a second opinion. And guess what? I was right! The glasses were +2 and not -2 like they were supposed to be.

I sent SelectSpecs a photo of the reading from Specsavers, but they still wouldn't believe me. They made me print out a form and send the glasses back to them. It wasn't until they received the glasses that they finally admitted their mistake. But did they apologize? No way! And they didn't even offer to pay for my trip to Specsavers to get the correct prescription.

I had to keep chasing them for a refund, and even then, they didn't say sorry. It's like they don't care about their customers at all. And to top it off, I found out that they report bad reviews to Trustpilot so they can get them taken down and boost their ratings. That's just shady.

Overall, I would not recommend SelectSpecs. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't take responsibility for their mistakes. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else for your glasses.

SelectSpecs Buy elsewhere

I was waiting 8 weeks for my order and all that time I was not able to reach anyone from SelectSpecs! They simply ignored me and did not reply. My glasses arrived and were incorrect, so I tried to contact them again, but got the same result. I want to get my money back but I guess that will never happen. I should have read the reviews earlier. Stay away and don't take this risk, their products are of a terrible quality (maybe that's the reason why is everything so cheap) and there is no customer support. Better save your money and buy from another company.

SelectSpecs Glasses didn't fit me and I can't return them

I bought two pairs of glasses from www.selectspecs.com. I bought one pair for reading and the second for computer. I got all information about the order, but these glasses arrived only one month later. When I wore the glasses, I could barely see what was written and shown on the screen and in books. I wanted to return these glasses, but the seller refused. The seller told me that he wouldn’t change the decision.
