Westlake Financial Services Disappointing Experience with Westlake Financial Services

My recent experience with Westlake Financial Services left me extremely dissatisfied. I attempted to make an auto payment, only to be informed that autopay was not an option due to an error in account details. The process of making a payment over the phone incurred additional charges, and I encountered difficulties even with simple tasks like obtaining license plates. Furthermore, a prequalification process through Car Quest proved to be a waste of time. The lack of clarity, coupled with unhelpful customer service representatives, made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. As a result, I am considering seeking alternative financing options to avoid further frustration and inconvenience.

Westlake Financial Services Do not use this company they are frauds

WESTLAKE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT SAME COMPANY WITH A LOT OF DIFFERENT NAMES.

I purchased a 2018 Kia Sportage LX from American Financial in March 2020 that went out of business and Westlake took over the payments but did not honor the warranty. I paid the vehicle off 01/16/2024, and it took 10 calls to them and two months later to receive a bill of sale and a title. Went to the Motor Vehicle and was told Westlake didn't include any tax on the bill of sale and I would need $300 move for the tax. Stated I need a new bill of sale with purchase price and sale tax on it. I called Westlake and spoke with two supervisors and I'm yet waiting on a bill of sale to be e-mailed to me including the sales tax on it. I've had nothing but problems out of this company. Their customer service is over seas and their English isn't good. Management said 48 hours and it has been 4 days. I WOULD NOT REFER THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, BAD BUSINESS. I DID NOT PICK THEM!

Recommendation: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE FRAUDS

Westlake Financial Services Do not care about their customers.

The only reason why this company is still in business is because they are robbing any and every individual who has ever signed any kind of contract owing them money! They repoed my car even after me speaking to them over the phone and explaining my situation which is I have two kids and am going through a divorce and until everything gets sorted out by the court, my ex has left me with all all of the bills and took every cent we had to pay them but that I was working and opened a new account separate from the one we had together but until my check went through I wouldn’t be able to pay my car payment within 3 days of that conversation, I go outside to crank the car before taking the kids to school and see that while we were sleeping sometime during the middle of the night, they had towed my car. I couldn’t believe it. My purse was in there with all of our medical cards, social security cards, my license, insurance cards , everything gone. I call Westlake to see where they have taken my vehicle only to be told that the only information they had about the whereabouts of my vehicle was a phone number and the name of the wrecker service which I couldn’t get anyone to answer and still can’t. The only thing I have been able to find out about this place is that is three hours away from me. The Westlake employee wouldn’t even attempt to call them and set up arrangements on my behalf to try and help me figure out how to at least get my purse back. I don’t know what to do or where to go from here. This place doesn’t care about anything or anyone just money.

Westlake Financial Services Rip off

I bought a 2014 Chevy equinox in April 2023 and put down 4500 dollars the dealer told me I would have about a little over 6000 left on the vehicle I talk to Westlake after taking the vehicle off the lot I was told I still owe over 9000 on a 2014 with a 130,000 miles on it so can even trade in after 6 months not worth anything

Recommendation: Don’t do it

Westlake Financial Services Holding money hostage

Unfortunately, the car was in an accident the first. month. The insurance paid it off. For two months they tried to get payments on a loan that should have been done. Finally they sent a check for a refund on the extended warranty. The check was in the name of both the account holder and the co-signer so the bank won't cash it. Nearly 6 months now trying to get this settled on a car that wasn't even owned for 30 days. Now, after saying several times they sent a check in the account holder's name only, they are saying they cant do that and still have the money.

Recommendation: Steer clear

Westlake Financial Services Service with Cesar Gaona

This representative was rude-unprofessional-condescending, he asked me to remove the freeze on the credit report-I advised the freeze was removed for 24 hours-the representative kept stating he does not have 24 hours to complete my file-he was not effectively listening to me at all-then I called him back at [protected] and he refused to answer-his name is Cesar Gaona

Desired outcome: Advise me of the next steps in the process to finance my vehicle after the lease period is up on May 10th 2024

Westlake Financial Services Payment services

Well Ive tried to send a payment on line, called and spoke to someone twice your system will not let me get past im not a robot. Very frustrated with Westlake Fin services so far wish I had gone another route and by the looks of complaints a lot of people feel the same way. I tried to send $3000 payment but your CS person said no only can take my debit card Im not giving my debit card over the phone. I have Wells Fargo card that I may the downpayment of $3000 when I bought the car not a problem.

Westlake Financial Services Title never sent after payoff

I’ve been asking since October 20,2023 for my title to be sent. I keep getting told when I call or email that it is being sent or tossed around and lost in transfer amongst agents which normally ends after an hour or so when the phone mysteriously disconnects! I’ve contacted the DMV, BBB, and my states vehicle commission to assist in resolving this issue. This company is poorly ran and very sadly managed.Thanks for only taking my money in a timely manner and never supporting the customers who pay their bills!

Westlake Financial Services First payment warning

West lake has decided to not service loan after making first payment14 days late. We called on the 14th day to take care payment late charge and pay 2nd payment 16 days early but they refused. This was an oversight on my end but i was never told or put in contract about making the first payment on time or they will void ur contract. Never seen or heard of this before. Ive had numerous loans throughout my life never had to worry about car repo after 13 days late. The strange thing is i didnt receive my letter for payment due until 2 days after it was due.

Westlake Financial Services Vehicle loan

My name is Bradley Marco and I recently paid my truck loan off back in October of 2023 and was told I would receive my title in about 30 days. I have yet to receive it and the only reason I’m granted when calling is “Mr Marco we don’t know why it hasn’t been released “! On top of that I’ve changed my mailing address when I call at least 10 times now and every time I call it’s still listed as the old one therefore when it is mailed to me if ever I still won’t receive it! I paid my load off, there is absolutely no excuse for this absurd “customer service” and I need a supervisor to contact me asap PLEASE! I have requested a supervisor SEVERAL times and I get nothing but a voicemail or it just disconnects the call! Please call me!

Westlake Financial Services Illegal repossession of my vehicle

I Originally purchased my car from "American car company " I April 2021.

I paid the company each month without problems until, MARCH 2022, at this time I was notified I would now have to pay, "WESTLAKE FINANCIAL SERVICES, a debt collector, which none of us would have a choice in this matter.

Westlake Financial did not care about how my bill was paid " on time".

They kept lying accusing me of being late. I sent them copies of every payment, but they still cause me to lose my job, and had the audacity to say, "WE MADE A MISTAKE".

THEY have yet to attempt to correct their mess. My career is gone, even when my credit record is perfect.

Westlake Financial has made a mess of my life, and many others.

I am so ready to stand before a judge with every shred of evidence, because Westlake just ruined my entire career!

I paid Westlake Aug 6,2023, Aug 12, 2023. And the stole my vehicle AUG 18,2023. TO STEAL IS TAKING THAT WHICH DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU. THEY STOLE MY CAR .

Westlake Financial Services Fraudulent

. After the engine went out and I had to fix it myself with MY money since the warranty refused to fix it , I had ended up falling behind a few payments which led to a repossession. They told me for the car back they wanted 4300 . 2 weeks later it’s sold at the auction for $800. Absolutely ridiculous they would rather take $800 and mess up someone’s credit than just wait 2 more weeks and take 4300 which I had arranged. I told them I had $4k they decline but sell it for $800, After I put an engine in the car is the most disgusting thing someone could do. It’s fine though I’m not to worried about it was very a petty move but I hope the new dealer has fun fixing the

Westlake Financial Services No paper so I can get my tags

I purchased a car with American car center in February of 2023 and a week after purchasing the car it closed down. So I had to wait until March to know who had taken up the lease and found out it was Westlake portfolio management. So I called them and asked for my papers so I can get my tags and I was told they don’t have them and to call the DMV. So I called the DMV and they didn’t have them either and they wanted me to come get a temporary tag that I would have to pay for every 30 days. So I called Westlake portfolio management back and it’s August and I have yet to receive my papers for my tag but they calling all day and night about payment. I need my tags because I’m being penalized for that. Either my papers for my tags or my money back

Westlake Financial Services American car center takeover

Auto loan contract for American Car Center was done as of May 14, 2023, Westlake Financial Portfolio Management LLC took over payments, cancelled warranty, and added a another year of residual payments without contracts signatures and notifications. Cannot get title, and Westlake repossessed car and ruining credit for no reason. Didn't feel I should pay the extra year in residual cost when contract was up in May 2023.

Westlake Financial Services Auto fraud

So I was on time with my car loan payments of $449/mo.I bought a vehicle 08/16/2021 and I was current on my car payments. Maybe in the beginning of the year of 2022 I was behind 1 payment but because I wasnt aware that mailing out a check the payment would take several business days ,in my case it took approximately a few weeks so I was getting the repossession threats even though my $1,550.00 payment check was on the way and I made a big payment for in advance for the upcoming 2months because I was going out of town and I wanted to make sure my car payments where paid in advance before my spendings out in vacation, which that didn't work they still threatened me so later the car was a detective car that gave up on me I only had it for 8months long, I took it for service for a check engine light the service dealership where I took it for a diagnosis just refused to give it back to me. I called Westlake multiple times about this situation and they didn't help me with this matter where the service department sold my car without my consent sierra Chevrolet of Monrovia played an actful negligence and without my consent they sold my car and I'm still on the loan which I keep getting billed. For a car that I don't have that I have no idea what or where it is at what happened to it they compl

Westlake Financial Services Auto loan

I purchased a 2011 Jeep liberty on 4/1/23. I had the car for 3 months. I made my payments on time until the car just stopped running. It's a lemon and the electrical system is destroyed. I called Westlake to surrender the car and they don't want it. But they want me to continue to pay for a car that doesn't run. They refused to repo it and I refused to pay. They are the worst!

Desired outcome: I want them to take this lemon back.

I had same issue contact the dealership and look into your consumer rights laws that’s what covers used vehicles not the lemon laws I found that one out with a truck I got thru westlake they were completely neglagent in helping with the matter until I got an attorney and then they still barely replied or attempted a resolution finally I got a settlement from the dealer for the money I’ve paid in to it and westlake still reports my loans late payments when it was to be deferred until litigation was settled because I didn’t have posession of the vehicle a service shop and my local mechanic had held the vehicle due to unsafe driving condition so. Now 2 years later I’m still trying to get my credit fixed because they’re [censored] up

I filled cease and dease and they still ended up repoing my car and also violated multiple laws behind the point I decided to call in and ask if I can rearrange something with my payments and they only gave me two options to sell the car for me and give me what ever difference it was or I give them half of what they charged me for the car oringial tag 22k they’re asking for 11k and they settle to give me the tittle and call it a day only have 8 months with the car

Westlake Financial Services Car repo

My vehicle was repossessed yesterday, July 24, 2023 West Lake financial, in Colorado. I was told by West Lake that repos don't generally have the process started until after 30 days of delinquency of payment. My last payment was made on June 30th, so July 23rd was not a full 30 day of being late. They repoed my car yesterday afternoon with belongings in it and I was never even notified this was taking place.

Desired outcome: I want my return property from the vehicle. They can take the car and shove it up their [censored].

Westlake Financial Services Transfer my contract from us auto sales

US AUTO SALES file bankruptcy back in march 2023 since then weslake portfolio take care of the loan but there are not honoring or GAP and Warranty that is part or the original contract agreement from US AUTO I call and speak with the supervisor name Giovanny and he told me the GAP and warranty are not provider and to my knowledge this void my contract they also told me they will email to me a proof of my original contract also proof that they will release my lien holder after paid my final amount any attention in this matter I already contact a lawyer but really i would like to solve this issue with out too much issue

Westlake Financial Services Repossession in error

Westlake repossessed a vehicle in error that they used to have an open loan with, but somewhere lost rights to the title. We are the new finance company for the vehicle with a new customer in the vehicle. Our customer is listed as the title and registered owner and we are listed as the lienholder. Westlake repossessed the vehicle 5 days ago and have failed to complete the homework to show they no longer hold any rights to the vehicle and release the vehicle back to our customer. I have spoken to numerous accounts reps who place me on hold over 10 mins at a time to come back to the line to tell me there supervisor isn't available and will call me back. The 2 times I was able to get to a supervisor, they told me they needed to escalate the situation and will have someone call back. Not once have I received a call back.

Desired outcome: This situation needs to be handled and our customer should be compensated for the lost time.

Westlake Financial Services An alleged lawful money debt between my principal and Westlake financial services.

To start, 350 ch. Is not enough. Now my principal sent two negotiable instruments to satisfy this unverified alleged debt in full and they were never returned. That is the same as acceptance. I have the return receipts and on behalf of my principal I am presenting notice for the immediate issuance of all considerations, interest for acct. [protected].

Desired outcome: This account should be closed in full satisfaction and immediately reported to the credit bureaus. I want all of the interest and any other considerations due to my principal right away all inclusive. Acct. # [protected].
