My sister is graduating from Basic Training in mid-November, and I wanted to make her a banner to celebrate her achievement. I searched for name brand banners, but they were all too expensive, costing around $70. I stumbled upon BuildASign and decided to create my own banner from scratch for only $20. I was a bit hesitant to order from them because the reviews weren't great, but I thought it was worth a shot since it was only $20.
I placed my order on October 29th, and it said that it would be shipped for free the next day. However, I received an email saying that my order was on hold. To my surprise, I received a tracking number from UPS, and the banner arrived on the same day it was scheduled to arrive.

Disappointing Signs and Customer Service from Build A Sign; Best Print Buy Saves the Day
I was really excited to get some new signs for my business after switching companies. I had seen some great signs from Build A Sign at my old job and was eager to get some for myself. When I ordered them, the description said they had the same steel stakes as my old signs, but when they arrived, they were made of aluminum! Who in their right mind would make a stake out of aluminum? It's just going to get beat up and bent out of shape.
To make matters worse, I've been trying to get a refund for weeks now and it's been a nightmare. They want me to pay for shipping to send the signs back and they're going to take 20% off my entire order! I haven't even taken them out of the box yet and they're already causing me so much trouble.
Luckily, I found a company called Best Print Buy that has fantastic steel stakes that will actually last. Their posts are high quality and the signs look almost identical to the ones from Build A Sign. I'm definitely going to give them my business from now on. It's just too bad that Build A Sign couldn't get it right, even after I gave them so many chances to fix their mistake.
I even tried to tap one of the aluminum stakes into the ground just to see how it would hold up, and it started mushrooming out after just a couple of taps! I didn't want to damage it too much since I needed to return it, but it's clear that these signs are just garbage. Don't waste your money on them.

I asked for a refund, but they only offered me a partial refund. This whole ordeal lasted for about 6 weeks and it was just a complete waste of my time and money. My business needs a sign out front and I lost customers because I had to wait patiently for BuildASign to resolve the situation. But, they failed to do so. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They deliver a poorly made product that does not represent their guarantees on their website. And, trying to get your money back is almost impossible. I've used BuildASign a few times and never had a problem until my recent experience on June 23rd. I ordered some signs from them and received two of the four, but the last two were supposed to be shipped the next day. I received a tracking number for the second shipment, but it never arrived. After a couple of days, I emailed them to find out where my order was, and about two days later, they told me the order never shipped and they didn't know what happened. They asked me if I still wanted the order, but it was already Friday morning, which meant the order wouldn't even be processed until at least the following Monday. This meant that it wouldn't arrive until the following week, nearly two weeks after I needed them.
I just told them to cancel the order and refund the remaining funds, which were approximately $24. However, this is where things started to go downhill. They said they would refund the remaining funds, but only 20% because I cancelled the order after it had been processed. But wait, they lost my order and didn't tell me for at least two days, and then they told me that I had to notify them if I still wanted the order. If I didn't want the order, I wouldn't have even made the order in the first place. Now it's all my fault that the order is lost, and I even have to pay them for losing the order in the first place.
Well, they lost me as a customer forever now. I found a new shop that made the signs in three days, and they were cheaper, and the quality is the same if not better. In short, stay away from these people. They are not reliable and will blame you for their mistakes.

And if you email 'em about a missing item in your order, they'll try to sell it to ya instead of just sending it to ya. Can ya believe that? It's like they don't even care about their customers once they've got their money. So, take my advice and steer clear of BuildASign. It's just not worth the headache. And if they do manage to finish your order, good luck if they didn't do it right.
Awful quality and paint started to peel off
I ordered 4 signs from the company www.buildasign.com. I received them on time and there weren’t any problems, but the quality and paint was awful. I noticed that the paint started to peel off. It was strange and I sent the photo to the seller. He told me that it was ok and it would stop now. But the paint continued to peel off. The seller refused to comment on it and stopped to deal with me at all. So, my advice - don’t buy from this company.
RE/MAX Yard signs
Ordered Sign Panels since this company is an approved with RE/MAX International. The signs were delivered quickly however, the RE/MAX red strip color at the top of the sign was a burnt red-orange. I ordered 100 sign panels and when I emailed and called them on 5-31-13, I had to continue to follow up daily for any kind of response, I talked with 4 people and finally got a manager today 6-7-13 after 6 business days, who then informed me the red color strip was the correct color due to the material the color could have somewhat of a not exact red and they would not re-print my sign panels. Their website does not give any kind of disclaimer about color shading. Nor did they offer me any kind of different sign material. So, I requested today for them to pick up the signs and want a refund. We will see how this works out. Photo as proof

Then you get the emails and calls from rude reps wanting to know what you wanted, you canceled your order, but we are here to help. All I wanted was to order a few SIGNS!
