History
Purchased 90% Silver coins. While not as pretty as the newly minted coins they are rich in history. Shipping was fast and secure. Definitely worth passing on to the next generation.
Great company
I've ordered both gold and silver products from Provident Metals and have received my bullion with no issues at all. They always have the best prices on the Internet and they ship the product very quickly.
Great Site
Long-time customer... never had a bad experience. I've tried just about every bullion site out there and Provident is by far the best. Affordable, discrete, fast, good customer service... and free shipping. Customer for life.

Experience with site design: very user-friendly, easy for me to find products.
Experience with Seller: will recommend Provident Metals to anyone wanting to invest precious metals. I bought my silver dollars from them and got it within 3-4 days. I've purchased from another online dealer, my shipment came after 2 weeks. I've talked to the rep and he was very informative. Quite impressive, I would say :)
ProvidentMetals Complaints 7
Shipment of 3 gold coins
My order was shipped 07/07/20 of 3 1oz coins. I have no problem with the company only the way shipment was handled. The package worth over
$5K was left in my mailbox across the street for anyone to open and take with them. It was shipped from Las Vegas not Dallas.
All previous shipments from P.M and other companies have needed my signature. Not this time.
When I contacted P.M. I was told it was due to the COVID 19 and USPS was reluctant to deliver and get signature however the following week I received another shipment from another vender and the USPS carrier delivered to my door and got my signature.
I am reluctant to place another order with P.M. as it may be left in my mailbox for anyone to remove.
Again, this is not a complaint about P.M. only shipping methods.
Awful company
I spent $1, 345 on a 1 oz American Gold Buffalo just to find out it was out of stock. These [censored]s couldn't even tell me when exactly it would be available again.
I want my money back because it was charged incredibly fast. Fater than I blink my eyes. Why do they think they can take our money, put an item on back order and refuse to refund saying that when it's available they will immediately send it? I ordered it to have it as soon as possible, not one day... I guess, we have a right to get our hard-earned money back.
Don't trust this service.
Not a good way to do business
I have purchased 5 coins from this website and when I received my order one coin was incorrect. I was pretty satisfied with everything else.
I contacted ProvidentMetals service and told them about what happened. They said they'll contact me back and promised to fix everything. I believed them but that was too good to be true. They never contacted me and I did not receive a replacement coin. I will not deal with this seller ever again! That's not a good way to do business.

No information and they don't reply to emails
I ordered gold from the company www.providentmetals.com. It was terrible, because I didn’t get any confirmation information, and the customer services didn’t work properly. They don’t respond to your questions and emails. I was so disappointed in such services and the whole deal. I will never again use the website and won’t buy from this dishonest seller.
They didn't deliver orders on time
People, don’t buy from the website www.providentmetals.com. I bought two rare coins from them, but the delivery was so slow and I really thought that they haven’t sent my order at all. I waited the whole month and within this month the seller avoided all communication with me. But I have sent tons of emails and messages. The company has real and strong problems with the communication and delivery. So if you need the order fast, don’t buy from them.
I chose them based on reviews but have had a lot of issues
I chose them based on reviews but have had a lot of issues. I made around eight orders over the last year and had a problem on half the orders with very poor quality coins or damaged cases on items like coin proof sets. I also got 10oz silver bars that were supposed to be individually sealed where half of the packs were broken open. After requesting replacements for very poor quality coins or damaged items on my last order time they refused to replace a 1962 mint set that is severely tarnished (it should have never been sold at the full price of what a good quality set would cost with what I received being of such low quality) and they told me they will no longer replace ANY damaged items I receive from them in the future.
Obviously I told them how disappointed I was with them considering they are the ones who choose the products and package them for shipping. They do not use sufficient, and by that I mean hardly any, packing material to protect the products during shipping. If you are shipping a silver or gold bar that won't matter much but when shipping coins sets in plastic cases it matters a lot.
A good retailer who had sent broken and poor quality items to a customer so often should apologize for these issues and make assurances that it is not normal instead of telling that customer they will no longer fulfill the return policy they have purported to me so many times as their policy of replacing any damaged items.
Provident metal gold scam.
1. false market loss charge
2. false market loss admin charge
3. no actual market loss
4. they wait until market drops then request the market loss charges
They've been my primary source of precious metals investment for years...at least online. Never had a problem. No matter who a person chooses to do business with...7-11, K-Mart, Sears, etc...there are going to be circumstances that come about. I would imagine they have thousands of happy customers like myself. Some people are hard to please frankly. These guys are no more a "scam" then any other business you'll deal with online. They've always made things easy and affordable for me.
I can honestly say that I've never had any issues with Provident. Its not my place to say whether or not the OP is being entirely truthful, but it just seems a little exaggerated to me. How can one person have problems with 50% of their orders and then a person like me have no issues with any of my 14 orders. And if you were constantly receiving sub par service, why would you continue to buy from them? I've been buying from Provident for probably 3 years now. I placed my first test order for a 10 oz JM silver bar back when the website just launched...and it looked very shady! I was definitely prepared to lose the $190 I spent on that bar. The website just didnt make me feel confident about buying from them, but their premiums were so low, I felt I should give it a shot. 3 days later, the package was at my house and I've been buying form them ever since.
Low premiums and good selection. Provident is my go-to PM dealer.
People that work there do not have a clue about what they are selling
They are complete scam. When you call them the people that work there do not have a clue about what they are selling.
I've never had a single problem with over 20 orders and counting. Other online bullion companies I've dealt with in the past have much higher premiums and shipping costs. There are companies out there where you can save a buck or two but you have to wait WAY to long to get your package. I feel sorry for any company that has to deal with thousands of costomer on a regular basis...sooner or later you're going to run into someone who thinks they've been "scammed". These guys wouldn't be in business if they were scamming customers. Market loss policies are something every bullion dealer has in place. Something tells me YOU didn't follow the rules.
