An ongoing problem has arisen at this store.in Coaldale, Alberta, there is only one hardware store. It has been a place where the average person can find lumber, paint, tools, shovels, gardening items, and lawn furniture. It is a great store. However, I have heard some disturbing news that a young male about 16 years old who has worked at this store for over a year who loves to be in the loading dock helping the average customer and contractors to load their lumber, soil, rocks, etc on their vehicles has been FORCED to work inside the store on the customer counter by the new manager, a 30 plus young woman.
Liam Slomp is a helpful lad and I have known him since he was 5 years old when my daughter, same age, went to a private dutch school in Coaldale, Alberta. (They are both still going.) He loves working in the loading dock and he loves being everyday at his after school and summer job. He has really matured and it upsets me that Liam is going to quit b/c the new woman supervisor is constantly hassling him. The Labor Laws state that he can be in the loading dock but, this manageress is constantly tormenting him to stay away from the loading dock and stock shelves in the store itself.
I donot believe that he has to quit to get away from this menacing boss. Are you able to investigate this problem and help Liam keep his job. Maybe, the woman could be transferred to a different location. There are Home hardware stores in Lethbridge, Alberta. I am sorry I donot know the woman's name but my daughter heard that she is from Calgary, Alberta.
