Please bear with me while I relate my concerns. First I would like to state that I think the 30% discount you offer on only one item is ridiculous unless it is a high end purchase. When buying several balls of yarn this is not a bonus at all. Also it is extremely hard to decipher which items qualify for the discount and which don't.
Also when I was shopping in the store on Sunday July 26th, I purchased 2 jarred candles thinking that the discount would apply to one. That was wrong - turns out these candles belong to the 'everyday value program' and are therefore not eligible for the discount. This is indeed a mystery. How are customers supposed to know what is an everyday value item and what is not? This rule is too confusing.
My second annoyance was when I asked if it was seniors day and the clerk cheerfully responded that everyday was seniors' day! However I did not qualify for the seniors discount due to the candles I purchased. I was infuriated! Any store who has seniors day offers that discount to your purchase.
When my purchase was completed the candles were sitting on the counter, no wrapping, no bag! I have never had this happen before. I asked if I didn't qualify for wrapping either. The clerk immediately made an attempt to wrap the candles but I told her to forget it.
This was a most frustrating experience. Thank you for your attention. Your comments are invited.
