To whom it may concern
I have been a customer of your stores since day one open at Wharncliffe Home Hardware 1240 Wharncliffe Road South London. I have time and again received great service at this store which is the reasons I continue shop at this store. But to my surprise, on the date of 30 December, 2020, I was at the receiving end of some very poor service.
I made a purchase of the Microfibre cloths which listed at the flyer and headed towards the curbside pickup to pay for it. The staff handed over the mobile machine to tap my Visa but refuse to swipe my Aeroplan card. I asked why, she told me "I can't do that". I told her I need my Aeroplan point. She just keeps tell me "I can't do that". For the third time I asked she told me "I don't want to stand outside the cold". I told her you can take my card inside the store, I need my Aeroplan point. After that she took my card swipe on the mobile machine and told me "here done". Now she refuses to give me my receipt. I told her I need my receipt so that I can see the Aeroplan point I got. She told me "I can't do that, the machine said good you are good to go". I got no choice to trust her and I left. I only got the purchase receipt with no Aeroplan on it. 12/30/20 @ 2:23pm. I checked my Aeroplan account on next day 31 December, 2020 and didn't get any Aeroplan points so I called Aeroplan to find out, and I spend over an hour on the phone and they told me that purchase didn't go through is not on their system. I went back to store and talk to the same person and I told her I already call the Aeroplan they told me that purchase didn't go through can you swipe my card again. She talked to me very rudely with a loud voice told me "I only serve essential worker if you not essential worker leave" I told her I am an essential worker let me talk to your manager I can show you my work ID. She told me "I am the store manager if you not buying anything leave". I told her "wow thanks" and I left. I was appalled at such behavior. I drove 15 minutes to other store at Tuckey Home Hardware 136 Wortley Rd London. I called and order the same Microfibre cloths, and headed towards the curbside pickup, they took my Visa and Aeroplan cards inside the store, the whole process took less than 2 minutes. I walked back to my car and check my Aeroplan account on my phone and the points already updated. Receipt number [protected] 31 December 2020 @12:22 Your company has been known to provide good services. I hope you would look into this issue.
Yours Sincerely
