Good morning,
I'm very happy with Tim Hortons and your products.
I am writing in today to suggest that you have your employees ask customers "do you have your Tim's rewards card with you today?" Before asking for payment and processing payment. Unfortunately I have paid for my food and drinks many times before offering my rewards card and I'm told "sorry we can't apply your loyalty points because you already paid". This makes me wonder, why did no one ask me for my rewards card? At other stores with loyalty programs they ask for your points card prior to payment every time (think optimum points, Petro points, Canadian Tire, etc). I think it is silly to have a loyalty program that staff don't promote or ask about because then it's only another thing to frustrate the customer! I go to Tim's very frequently and I have literally never been asked for my rewards card. When I point this out to your staff they say "there are signs to remind you". This is unacceptable. I know you are in the fast food business, but you are also in the people business! It is respectful to customers to want to help them collect points and get free coffees. No one has to remind me at McDonald's to ask for my coffee coupon/sticker since it's already on every cup. I think this is a simple way for employees to improve customer satisfaction, and ultimately consumer loyalty which is the whole point of your program đź‘Ť
