car shipping
Most frustrating experience involving shipping my vehicle from Honolulu to Central Coast California. I paid for door to door shipping.
They took my car, I paid and months later, no car. I figured it would arrive one day in my driveway. It never did.
I received a phone call a few days ago from the Long Beach port agent telling me that my car has been there for over a month. I was accruing daily fines. No one had contacted me at any point to let me know that my vehicle was sitting in storage. At the time of this writing the fees total over $600.
RYAN ALEXANDER is the agent who admittedly made the error. But when confronted he tells me that it's not his problem and to go deal with my car.
This company is staffed by incompetent liars who fleece their customers.
Reading the enormity of one star reviews online further validates my claim.
Moving Scam
BEWARE-PREDATORY BUSINESS !
Cardinal Moving Systems charged me double than they quoted me for a move from New York City to Hawaii.
Their agent never came to assess the property that needed to be moved, although they claimed they have an office in the New York area.
The salesman from Cardinal Moving Systems gave me an assessment over the phone and told me it will cost me $2664.35 total. That was a lie.
On the day of the move, after the moving crew packed everything in the truck, and locked it, the foreman told me I was over the quote and overcharged me for a total of $5650.85
That was $3000 more than quoted and I had to pay, since the truck was packed and locked. Typical moving scam, as I later read on www.moving.com. The fine print contract stipulates that every extra cubic feet will be charged $10.
After I paid in full, the moving company grossly mishandled my property and destroyed over 26 items to include Vintage Herodyne Radio, Vintage Gossip Bench, chairs which the moving workers pilled one on top of each other and then wrapped, Tiffany lamp, armoire, an antique Tal Tree Coat rack hanger whose iron hooks were broken in half, crystal glasses, Lennox Abigail dinner plates, antique Gingerbread Wall clocks, not to mention even an antique Hamilton pocket watch that was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a cigar box.
The boxes were all severely damaged and were proof of how badly my property was mishandled. On top of the quote scam, the moving company added at least $3000 in property damage.
I filled an extensive claim in November 2015 and only in June 2016 I received a settlement letter after many inquiries. It was in the amount of $150.60. After all this company has done wrong, now they added insult to injury and offered me $150.60 and a release form to release them from all future claims, law suits, complaints or bad reviews. They can keep their ridiculous settlement and I keep my right to post reviews and complaints to any and all websites or Government Agencies.
My advice, STAY AWAY ! Look for a reputable company, that has an office where you live.
Cardinal Moving Systems needs to be shut down and all their agents fined for misleading customers.
shipping
I found the workers both on pickup and delivery personable and pleasant to be around. On the other hand, the sales people were not honest about what could be shipped and at what price. When they said $4500 would cover a 2 bedroom house, they did not mention that was 500 cu ft. and unless you order a larger shipment first, and then reduce the size it would cost you more.At the last minute, we were forced to ship only about 1/3 of our property. Very stressful for an older couple with disabilities. We were told that we would receive 30 days free storage after the property was shipped which would help us a lot in getting settled. What they didn't say was that they counted the 30 days shipping time as storage and charged us over $100 a week for storage without notice. We were told that our property would not be delivered until we sent a form and payment for storage we never agreed to.Our property finally arrived in tact, undamaged, and in full.Am I satisfied with the workers? yes. the overall experience was not good. If I were to use a moving company again it would not be this one nor would I recommend this one.

Scam fraud lies rip off
Help! How do you get a hold of someone who is in charge at this company? How does a company operate like this? How is this legal? Noel and Frank set up the move but will not take my calls. Our stuff is in a warehouse in LA so they say. These people are the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. Who owns this company? Can our government help us? We paid them to steal our stuff!

Complete loss of personal belonging
I had my personal goods shipped from Maui, Hawaii to Wellesley, MA. I was not told that my belongings would not be insured for full recovery. Until after the movers showed up at the house. Even before they touched a single thing in my house. I wanted and was prepared to pay the insurance for full recovery in case of damages or loss as we did with shipping our motorcycle with them; but Cardinal refused my request for our regular goods. I felt my hands were tied and had no choice but to have them move my belongings. Being under their care, Cardinal Movers Systems managed to lose a 6ft. Koa Wooden Paddle. Under their care it was evidently either stolen or they delivered it to another party as Lydia (from customer service) has assured me it is no where to be found. Even though I watched placed inside the truck and was accounted for on the order list, It was confirmed at time of delivery that it did not arrive with the rest of my things. Now they want to forward my claim to another party insurance so they can repay me with 6 cents to the dollar value for Its loss. It's worth @ least $689.00 not including what I paid them to care/ ship it to me. They basically stole my paddle. This is not right nor is it anywhere near fair.

Do NOT use Cardinal If you Care about your stuff
If you are considering using Cardinal Moving Systems for your next move, you should consider the following before you put your personal belongings at risk!!! Their website claims that they have a “revolutionary approach eliminates the questionable pricing practices that many moving companies too often impose on customers” Truth is that they grossly...

I used Cardinal Moving Systems to book the move, we moved from Honolulu to Colorado. Hercules Van Lines moved the items on land and Anthem Claim Management gave us a ridiculous settlement of $216.
- They destroyed many items including the $300 vacuum cleaner that isn't even covered by the settlement.
- They lost a box with a 1960s Vespa engine and its at least $800 to replace that.
- How can they use weight to determine the claim if they don't know how much anything weighs.
- Doesn't it seem like a rip off that they loose your stuff and don't have to replace it? They may be covered for breaking things but they lost my stuff too?
- Not only did they break stuff, much of it looked like they didn't take any car in moving it, in fact it looks like they dropped it off trucks and rolled the boxes around in the truck...

I had a very similar experience...this company has no integrity..they loose and damage your stuff and simply don't care.
