Nationwide Moving and Storage I am so disappointed and feel violated by Nationwide Moving Services

I am so disappointed and feel violated by Nationwide Moving Services. There were no changes to my final inventory with the exception of the packing material for the very few items that were to pack; example: three TV's (one was destroyed by *** my computer desk (also destroyed by *** dinning room table and 6 chairs (splintered and damaged by *** 3 large pictures (one was shattered by *** 4 bed stands (three had gouges out of the wood by *** 2 chests, my computer system (thrown into boxes without packing only to be destroyed) computer printer (thrown into a box without packing, destroyed).I requested an evaluation of the over charges on June 30th as there was an increase 3 times amounting to over $4000.00 more than originally quoted when packaging charges totaled $484.50. To date they have not returned my calls or emails. Logistic *** Claims Information Form states: In the unlikely event you may realize that some of your goods are damaged or if you feel that you have been over-charged (both apply to me) all customers must initially give the service provider (Moving Company) the first right to fully investigate and respond in writing with resolution. I have done this and to no avail as of to date. No company should be able to operate this way, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Nationwide is a very reputable company.. I worked with *** and he was very accommodating and very patient. You took me through everything I needed to know about the move and made everything clear. He was able to give me a good price. I spoke with *** during the verification process. He too was very accommodating and courteous. Although I had to cancel later it was not their fault it was because my destination point backed out on me. I would definitely recommend nationwide to anyone who needs out of state moving.

was so helpful. Every time I talked to him I had to add (or remove) boxes, furniture etc to my 'packing list.' He worked with me to get the pricing right on what I was packing and the best route to go. *** was very knowledgeable in explaining how the process of the move works and what move was best to meet my moving needs.

Nationwide Moving and Storage Scheduled a move and had to push it out a week

Scheduled a move and had to push it out a week. Got it changed a mo th ahead of time. Their mover called me up on original move date wanting me to get all my stuff ready right then and now even though I had moved the date a week later a month *** a decision to cancel my move with them. I had hired them for logistics. Logistics requires communication and coordinating, both of which they failed to perform.Have been going back and forth trying to get refund of deposit since they provided no service beside generating a quote. After I cancelled, then they finally started doing the work I asked them to (this is how they are attempting to keep my deposit) They didn't even secure a moving company until an hour after my cancellation according to the timestamps on my email and the docu sign documents they're sending through trying to prove they were doing the work and I should have to pay.I cancelled because they weren't performing the services requested. To prove the poor communication and coordination I recieved a call a week after my cancellation from the movers they lined up wanting to pick my stuff up.The movers were so *** when I told them I had canceled a week prior. They hadn't gotten communication from Nationwide Moving and Storage about it.Absolutely terrible company.Incompetent to perform the logistics services involved in moving. Will take your money without providing services.Fraudulent.Many of the 5 star reviews below look to be from employees at the company, as well.BEWARE!

Nationwide Moving and Storage Feel bad saying this

Feel bad saying this. I am sure all employees are not the same. My experience was negative. Spent an hour going over all the stuff in great detail to get an accurate quote. Said that I read reviews of customers saying that they were charged more at the last minute. Therefore, was VERY SPECIFIC about the number of items (moving a 1 BR, We estimated and paid for 25 boxes (final count only 16) and all the other stuff was specific, 1 queen *** 1 table, etc. In spite of all that, they came at the end of their 48-hour window, 4 PM evening, loaded 80% of the stuff, then said that we will have to pay more. And they wanted cash. It was 3 young guys. Their leader was very cocky, arrogant, and confident. Tried to gauge us of cash (guessing the company does not even get the money, thousands more than the quote, then came down to a $1000, then $800. But we just could not afford more and also felt it was a matter of principle not to be cheated. We had to accept them leaving out boxes and furniture on the curb at 7 PM in the evening. We had to move out the next day. We were lucky that U Haul was available. We just got that, loaded the stuff, and drove. This was coercion and blackmailing. The sad part is that the company never got back to me when i called and talked to them. They said they will but it's been several weeks. I WOULD NEVER TRUST OR MOVE WITH THESE GUYS.Once I am settled, I will try to work with a Lawyer and do something as a good samaritan so that they think twice before cheating people who are in a tough situation.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THIS SCAM. Do not lose your money and belongings to these people. This is not a legitimate moving company. They are a broker (if they really even are that). Once you pay them, they will not help deal with whatever shady movers they pay to move you (in this case, Mommy's Moving Services out of ). We are an elderly couple with medical issues, and we still don't have our stuff after months now. Nationwide's movers have kept our belongings, demanding that we pay many thousands of dollars over the contract price. Nationwide has completely abandoned us, and we have been sleeping on air mattresses in *** and WITHOUT ANY OF OUR BELONGINGS, INCLUDING MEDICAL BEDS AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT. I don't understand how the people running Nationwide and the sleazy movers they hook up with aren't all in jail by now. People, read all the reviews and note the *** rating from the Complaintsboard.com. The positive reviews are fake. Please don't fall for them.

This broker is a scam. They literally check the boxes for moving scams. They low-balled the estimate in the beginning and continually increased the price, blaming us for the increases. They are fast, smooth talkers. They require cash payments and that payments be made before your stuff is moved. They charge by cubic feet and continually overestimate their measurement of your stuff. In the end my family was charged 4 times the amount of the initial estimate. It was a horrific experience.

Nationwide Moving and Storage When I spoke with J

When I spoke with J... of Nationwide moving and storage he assured me the most I would be charged if I cancel my move would be $88. I gave him $1770 deposit. He assured me I would only lose $88. I called him the following day and he reiterated $88 was the most I could lose of the deposit. I called several times and was always put on hold for long periods, once someone came on the line I was told I had not been on hold. D... heard my complaint and I told her I was canceling the move with them. She said I was not entitled to a refund after 72 hours. I told her J... had claimed the most I would lose was $88. She said I was confused and made remarks about my age. I admitted I had not seen a 72 hour requirement on the form to pay the deposit. She said it was on the contract. I advised the print on the contract is too small to read for more than a few minutes. I advised I was going to make a complaint to the *** and she laughed and said to go ahead. They are A+ rated and no one will believe me. I offered to have 2 men be sent to pack my own truck for the $1700 but she said no, I would have to pay the full amount for the move. (Over $6,000)They record their calls but she wouldn't play back the conversation with J... even though I spoke with him on speaker phone with a witness and was told the most I would be charged is $88 if I cancel. She emailed the contract in larger type and insisted I am confused and don't remember what I was told. I am a senior citizen but far from confused. I would never recommend this company if for no other reason than D trying to gaslight me, talking down to me and laughing that they're too big to be bothered by a complaint from me.

Nationwide Moving and Storage Miscommunication, changes in price , estimate by cubic feet was too low , furniture agreed upon was not taken

Miscommunication, changes in price , estimate by cubic feet was too low , furniture agreed upon was not taken. *** was inadequate , and the person actually laughed repeatedly , then when I asked for a last name to keep a record of this for documentation purposes they refused when the person who connected me to customer service gave me their last name , customer service when told this last name laughed and said that the person was lying to me and that was not their last name. After I got a little heated i asked to speak with someone and was denied , the customer service rep announced they are the boss and no one else is in a position to help. The customer service rep made some inappropriate remarks and provided very little help. The entire experience is frustrating as I tried to prepare for this move by trying to make all the paperwork track and boxes taped and labeled , correctly. I served in the *** Marines and I understand there are sometimes cracks or valid reasons for things changing . But the attitude and sincere hubris from the customer service agent definitely made me abrasive and regret dealing with them or the company itself. I really want to figure out a solution but I cant get their customer service to even try given that the person I keep getting to connected claims they are the boss and no one else can help. I am putting flyers regarding this issue at VFWs and VA so others can share their experiences or at least benefit from my experience and look into another broker or third party moving company. To be fair I was given a very good military discount , but at this point I would have gladly forfeited the discount in order for better service. Thank you.

Nationwide Moving and Storage WARNING DO NOT USE THEM, They will not tell me when my furniture will be delivered

WARNING DO NOT USE THEM, They will not tell me when my furniture will be delivered. They never told me a third party contracted was involved. I've made several calls and just get the round around. I called a month in advance of my new move in date 6/20/22 and was informed that he third party contractor was not notified. My original move in date was 7/1/22. It is now 7/7/22 and Nationwide nor the third party carrier will tell me when I will receive my furniture and belongings. The third party AMCquickrelocators are out of Washington St. and they will not commit to a date. I now have to get my attorney involved. They won't tell me where my furniture is stored. I offered to get a reputable moving coming to go and pick up my stuff, but they just brush me off. They have roughly $6,000. dollars of mine and my all my records, files, furniture, pictures everything I have worked for the last 30 years. I'm not sure they even have my furniture and have sold it. .I move from *** to *** I'm sitting in a empty house with not furniture and my wife and I are sleeping on a blow up mattress. My daughter and grandkids will be moving here in 9 days and I don't have anything for them to sleep on. Most of our clothes are still in storage or so they say. I've started a new job and the lack of concern or response to where my stuff is or when it will be here is very stressful. I will have my attorney go after them for everything I can get. I'll have him file Criminal Theft charges against both companies. I can't stress enough not to use this company. They won't let me talk to the manager or the owner. I DON'T WANT TO BE THAT PERSON THAT GETS AN ATTORNEY INVOLED, BUT AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO OPTIONS.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I am relocating and found Nationwide through Thumbtack

I am relocating and found Nationwide through Thumbtack. I spoke with a very personable representative and we moved quickly in our conversation. I listed every item and box I would need to be moved and I was quoted $2638.76 for an estimated 341 cubic feet over a distance of 391 miles. I was promised a deal of meeting and beating any competing offer by 10% from a reputable company. My first issue was the required deposit of $842 before seeing my full contract. My second issue arose when I found a cheaper offer, but Nationwide did not honor their promise, citing the competitor's lack of accreditation and lower than 4-star rating on Complaintsboard.com. The contract did not initially mention these criteria, but a new contract was sent with this added. I requested a refund due to disagreement with the new terms and received $799, with the missing amount being a 5% processing fee. After complaining about the fee and the new contract, which I believed nullified the original, I did not get an immediate response, but my full deposit was eventually refunded. Despite their initial excellent communication, I'm rating them 2 stars for rushing me into a large deposit without a contract and attempting to change terms post-signature. Note: I am handling the move myself and hiring professional movers only for loading and unloading, saving $1800.

Nationwide Moving and Storage One star is too much

One star is too much. Don't believe them when they say they are committed to providing professional moving services. These people basically book room on trucks and wash their hands of the process once they have their money. Our first call we gave them as much information regarding what was being shipped as possible. We measured items, furniture, and gave them an anticipated number of boxes. We were told that we could add to our inventory any time by logging into our inventory. Lie. We attempted to do this, but there was no way, so we sent an email attempting to add to our inventory. They didn't want that info. As part of our contract with nationwide, we were supposed to get a 7 day email to finalize and ensure we were on track. We did not. A part of our contract, we were supposed to receive a phone call 5 days out. We did not. I called on Monday, May 9, 2022 in a semi-panic. Our feeling was, they have taken our money but did not do what they were supposed to do. For a company who is dedicated to making customers at ease during a most stressful time in their lives, you did not deliver; not remotely. Our items were picked up by All Over the State Moving and Storage (***, ). These guys were great, but because our inventory was off we had 411 cubic feet too much. They managed to get the truck loaded, but it cost us signficantly more. The second company they brokered was Oceans Moving and Storage from ***, . WORST COMPANY EVER. Almost every piece of furniture was damaged and Oceans did this damage. I have filed a claim with them. It was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am going to make it my goal to make sure how you people operate and extort money from people. You are not remotely concerned about your customers. What should have been an exciting time for my family was a perfect nightmare.

Nationwide Moving and Storage Do not use!

Do not use! They are a BROKER! Even If you give them every single item in your home, their quote and estimate WILL NOT be accurate. The moving company that they select for you will charge you much more. They under estimated our move by HALF! They ask you when you want to move, but do not verbally tell you that it is highly advised to select a moving date TWO WEEKS before you actually move : "Note, that re-dispatching takes several days; this is why we strongly urge you to select a pick-up date which leaves you at least a two week cushion before you must vacate your home. This way if you need to have an alternate carrier dispatched you will have several weeks to reschedule a new pick-up date with an alternate carrier. ? Last minute pick-up dates are highly discouraged for this reason; please plan for all scheduling contingencies and do not schedule your pick-up date on a date right before you need to vacate your home." So this company that wants to be a convenience to their customers #1. NEVER discloses the name of the local long distance motor carrier that they choose for your move. #2. Makes you "interview" the carrier by selecting a date two weeks ahead of time in case (obviously in ALL cases) the carrier bills you for more! We blindly trusted. And got screwed to tune of $12,000 over the estimated quote. We provided a VERY detailed list. When the moving company showed up on the day prior to us having to vacate and refusing to load a thing until we signed an updated contract with them, that's when we knew we were screwed! We found the fine print on Nationwide's contract the next day. The above quoted disclosure fell conveniently in the middle of their contract. We didn't know that they were Brokers and washed their hands of our move the moment the actual movers showed up. Please tell me who would plan to move two weeks in advance so that a refusal can be made?

Nationwide Moving and Storage All these positive reviews are fluff and either current employees or bots

All these positive reviews are fluff and either current employees or bots. Our experience was horrible. Once Nationwide had their money they were not interested in helping us. Let me start with I know they are a broker and didn't expect them to move our stuff BUT I did expect them to find a reputable mover. They contracted us out to a mover who was completely incompetent and ill prepared. They arrived without any moving blankets or tools to take apart furniture. Furthermore they arrived with only 2 movers which took them 2 days to pack up our stuff with not only our help, but my fathers help. So not only did we pay to have someone move us, we ended up providing some labor. The kicker is when the mover said we would need more space than the truck that they provided and the price was now double. It went from 9k to 18k. At this point we didn't have a choice but to move forward since we needed to be our of the house. Our stuff was supposed to be delivered within a few days. Cut to 2 weeks later the mover shows up without so much as a phone call. AND they arrived in trucks that were smaller than what they packed up which means they blatantly overcharged us because they couldn't properly pack the truck to begin with. This also means our stuff was moved several times causing numerous damage. Nearly every piece of furniture that arrived was damaged because again they didn't have moving blankets. Nationwide provided little to no help during this entire situation. Every time we called it was like we were bothering them, they are rude and just as unprofessional as the movers they contracted. We are months past the move and the movers are *** which means we can't even file a claim for our damaged and missing goods.Moral of the story - Don't hire Nationwide. They are not worth the headache. While they say they don't use that mover anymore, chances are you'll end up with one just as bad IF you even get your stuff.

Nationwide Moving and Storage TERRIBLE!

TERRIBLE! If I could give no stars I would! But I had to select at least 1 to begin my review. Where do I start this company makes all these promises about your move but cant hold up their end of the deal. First of all its a broker that cant even get in contact with their dispatchers/drivers at the time of your move. My pick up date was the 29th which they needed to change to the 30th because the driver was behind and it was busy. On the 29th I spoke to a customer service rep on the phone who was trying to get in contact with the dispatcher but wasnt able to and told me I would receive a phone call back in 30mins to an hour. Never received tht phone call. I called again on the 30th to find out an ETA on when my belongings would be picked up. Nationwide couldn't get in contact with the dispatcher. I called AGAIN a couple hours after as the end of the day was nearing. Spoke to two more reps who again tried to get in contact with the dispatcher but was unsuccessful. So thats two days of not being able to contact your own dispatchers?! Now here we are on the 1st and I am once again on hold because the lead is trying to get in contact with the dispatcher. At this point I want my money back because if I cant trust nationwide to pick up my belongings I def def dont trust them to transport it across the country and deliver it. I booked this since April so there is no reason that now by July its not figured out how and when my belongings will get picked up to be transported. *** was so pressed to collect my deposit and give me a good deal and became unavailable since these issues have arises. *** who is a team lead is very sarcastic and rude and doesnt like to clarify information to customers and said he is going to respectfully hang up the phone on me if I kept asking him to clarify something he was unsure about. I am disgusted and will be putting them on full blast! My belongings were finally picked up yesterday over a week later.

Nationwide Moving and Storage Ive moved a couple of times now, and I have to say I think the business practices of Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC border on malicious

Ive moved a couple of times now, and I have to say I think the business practices of Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC border on malicious. The sales people are nice enough, but they actively lied to me about the estimated cost and, I think, purposely misled me about the ultimate price of the move. I worked with them to update my move pricing; they do a phone call about a week before the move to make sure everything is in order. In that call, I had to add several boxes to my move. This changed the estimated cost, which is fine, but the sales specialists seem to purposely under-quote me. The first person I spoke to gave me a military discount even though I am not in the military and told him so. At no point did they ever measure or view my large sofa, my desks, or the actual size of my boxes. However, they measure, they just sort of guessed how much space I would need in a moving truck. Because they actively underestimate the size of items, they were able to give me a quote that was attractive. The initial quote was $3218. However, by the end of this process, the actual cost ended up being about $5800, a substantial increase. Had I been given a more accurate estimate, I would have chosen a different moving broker. I think they know this, and so they actively choose to make their prices seem cheaper than they are. One of the more salient examples of this is the cost of flights of stairs. In the quote from Nationwide Moving and Storage, their form says additional flights of stairs beyond the first floor cost $75, which was fine for me. But when I began working with the actual moving companies, the cost for additional flights of stairs is actually $125, and they list seven steps as a flight of stairs. Ultimately, the major stressor hasnt necessarily been the price tag of the moveits the surprises. The additional fees, the surprise costs, and so on. These are problems that could be solved with better communication. I do NOT recommend this company.

Nationwide Moving and Storage You won't find any data or feedback about this firm on popular review platforms.

There's a reason you can't find any information or reviews about this company on popular review platforms. After a conversation with a Nationwide Moving and Storage team member, I felt confident booking a move well in advance due to their 5-day cancellation policy. However, when I tried to cancel 10 days later, the customer service representative was immediately hostile. She read the contract, which was initially presented as an estimate, and said I wouldn't get a refund but could get a credit. She also threatened to fire team members who suggested refunds after 72 hours. Despite assurances of a hassle-free cancellation 5 days before the move, my experience was the opposite. After I brought up their past complaints, the call was cut off. She then texted me, defending their customer service, but it was fruitless. Despite the contract, when I raised an issue, she argued, talked over me, and disrespected my profession without taking responsibility for her staff. As an executive at a major tech company, I could have been a repeat customer, but their poor service and deceptive practices have lost my business. I advise using a credit card for protection or avoiding this company altogether.

Nationwide Moving and Storage WORST moving company ever

WORST moving company ever. Very unprofessional brokers who give your order to most unprofessional company i.e Movers and Packers relocation specialist. Since beginning ,they were unethical, they change their quote to almost double. I booked for a move from *** to ***. first available date was May 28th 2022. since then, I called Nationwide to know the whereabouts of my stuff every week.I have a long trail of mails with their manager Ciera who appointed *** for my case specifically but he always said we have asked vendors to mail you your ETA which never came. Now after more than two months , today I received my delivery. First of all DRIVER WAS VERY RUDE and he talked very badly with me and my husband. Second in my order assembling of furniture at the time of delivery was included, THEY DIDN'T ASSEMBLE ANY PIECE OF FURNITURE some of the item like my OFFICE TABLE AND *** were supposed to be on second floor bedroom which has stairs from inside only, they started asking for the extra money. Nationwide Moving and Storage We hired Nationwide Movers LLC for a move to Georgia, when we spoke to

We hired Nationwide Movers LLC for a move to Georgia. On May 11, we explained to the broker that we were flying to GA on July 21 and needed our items by July 22. We paid $20000 for the move, including loading and unloading services. On July 10, only two movers arrived, exhausted from long hours and low pay. They couldn't finish, so they returned the next day. As of July 23, we learned rudely that our belongings were still not in Georgia but in a warehouse, with a two-week delay expected. With four kids, we're in an empty house without essentials. Repeated calls for help were denied, and promises from the original employee who arranged our move have not been upheld, leaving us stranded.

Nationwide Moving and Storage Not receiving any service/ they didn’t know who we were

Contract was with nation wide moving and storage to move my 86 year old father Inlaw that is a veteran and is blind and deaf.. I can’t believe this is how you treat your vets!

Then they gave it to

Next stop moving and storage

Date of service TBD / 6/19/23 or 6/20/23

The service was moving service.

Cancelled on 6/07/23

Reason for cancellation was!

We called to upgrade our service.. was told by national wide to call

Next Stop moving and storage.

We called next stop and wanted the P.G.S service as stated the the contract..

we called and they had no records of us or are moving.

They didn’t know who we were or anything about the upgrade that they offered. At that point we didn’t feel comfortable going forward so we canceled.

The very next day nationwide called us. And she stated she understood and would feel the exact same way!

Then the next day we had a conference call with Nationwide and next stop moving and storage. They also said they didn’t have our contract and didn’t know who we were and they couldn’t offer us an upgrade.. and again, Nation Wide understood where we were coming from and again she said she would feel the same way. We have received no services at all from them. I feel they do this to a lot of people just to scam money. We gave next stop moving and storage our job number and they still couldn’t find us or know who we were. We signed the contract on 5/17/23 you would think by 3 weeks later they would know who we were! We were moving in another week and a half.. this just isn’t how business should be handled when they take $1044.75 ! I am disputing this charge and will keep disputing it. They should not get paid for no services whatsoever they didn’t even know who we were.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I booked a move with Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC but encountered issues.

On July 5, 2022, I contacted Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC to arrange a move between two cities. The Moving Coordinator provided a moving reference number and requested a $1650 deposit for a move date of 7/29/22. After discussing the details and receiving a contract with a 72-hour cancellation policy, I researched the company's reputation. Discovering numerous negative reviews, I promptly canceled the contract on the same day and followed up with an email. Despite this, the company claimed to have provided services and charged my credit card. I disputed the charge, but the company insisted on the validity of the service, leading to a re-billing by my credit card company. I am now working to prove the cancellation and lack of services to resolve the fraudulent charge.

O July 5th 2022, I contacted Nationwide for purpose of moving my belongings to Pa from Id. It was scheduled for pickup on July 25th and I paid deposit of $1500. Driver was 6 days late picking up. And 4 days late delivering.Ciera *** support) knew of this contractor being late and mention he does what he wants. Knowing this after constant calls to Nationwide and on third day should of had a replacement driver. She offered this on day 5 of being late. Also was charged $413 for an adjustment of belongings being shipped. This was not disclosed to me that this would happen. After speaking with Ciera was passed to Jacob *** support). I believe they tried reaching out to contractor, *** MD LLC. But think they could have replaced that driver and not at my expense

I contracted with Nationwide moving (broker) in March 2022. On June 15, 2022, Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists arrived at my home to load my household belongings. They stated that the estimate of the square footage was incorrect and charged me an additional $1,551.26 at loading (in addition to the quoted rate of $2,145.66). And stated that same amount would be additionally charged at the time of delivery (totaling $3,696.91, estimate plus additional). I was told by Nationwide that the move would take "5-9 days" -- so I called Movers and Packers on June 29, and again on July 14. The person on the phone at Movers and Packers was very rude, stated "we have 30 days, we will call you when we have information" and hung up both times. I contacted Nationwide via email on July 31. They contacted Movers and Packers, who contested the pick-up date and 30-day time frame. Via Nationwide, I was told that Movers and Packers was "aware of the 30 days," quoted me Aug 11 as the deliver-by date, and wrote, "Movers and Packers has assured me that your items will be loaded soon and headed out for delivery transit." Not having heard from Movers and Packers and anticipating the worst, on Aug 10, I contacted my insurance carrier to begin the claims process for loss of property. The claims agent stated I would need to file a police report with local authorities in ***, *** (since that is the stated address of Movers and Packers; report was filed). On the morning of Aug 11, I sent a follow up email to Nationwide, and copied Movers and Packers, stating that my insurance company was requiring a police report.

Nationwide Moving and Storage 1. We were told that our items would arrive the 8th or the 9th because we were closing on our house the 8th of July

1. We were told that our items would arrive the 8th or the 9th because we were closing on our house the 8th of July. On the 6th, the mover said that he was in the area and wanted to come the 7th. We explained that there was no way we could to do the 7th because of the closing date. I then explained that we were closing at 1pm on the 8th and to come at 2:30pm since everything would be wrapped up by then. Instead, I get a notification that he showed up at the house at 1:10pm while we were in the middle of closing on our first house which caused us to rush our closing. 2. The two helpers that the mover brought with him on the 8th did not come with any scissors, razors, or tools. I had to unbox my tools in order for them to do their job and unpack the wrapping on all the furniture. The two helpers had barely any experience where I had to step in and help move boxes from the truck in order to speed up the process. I also had to help the movers assemble a bed frame because he didn't know how to do it. Also, the movers didn't even offer to put the furniture back together after they were unloaded off the truck. I had to tell them to assemble the furniture since that is what I paid for. 3. There was one box that was sifted through by some unknown person since my wife found items in one box that clearly belonged in another. 4. The amount of damage to the boxes and furniture is ridiculous. Mostly every piece of furniture has scratches or dents even with the wrapping on them. Boxes that were clearly marked fragile were sandwiched in between larger, heavier boxes. Not only that, when they were moving my couch along the floor in the living room, they did not pay attention and ended up scratching half the floor. I'm still shocked that I paid $7,200 for this to be the result.

Nationwide Moving and Storage 1st contact, 4/5/22, Moving coordination Reference Number

First contact on April 5, 2022, regarding moving coordination. Went through the entire home and took inventory. The estimated volume was significant. The manager assured me of support throughout the process. On July 11, we did a final inventory check over the phone. I was advised to secure additional volume early to save costs. I chose a larger volume, paying only for what I used. The new quote was $19,480. I approved the quote on my iPhone. Later, on my laptop, I found an added binding estimate fee of $4500. When I inquired, there was no response. Another representative was dismissive on the call. Escalating the issue led nowhere. The moving day was chaotic, with inadequate specialists. I'm awaiting the inventory list. The packing was poorly done by unprofessional staff. Essential packing materials were absent. We desperately need assistance. I have documented evidence. There were misleading claims about needing more volume. I anticipate damage to my belongings. We plan to document the delivery after the 45-day storage period ends on August 29th. The company's listed address is suspicious. We halted payment upon this discovery. I urge Nationwide to waive the $4500 fee and ensure the move's completion. Assistance is urgently needed. Sincerely, a concerned customer.

On March 22, 2022 I entered into a contract with Nationwide Moving &Storage LLC to move my belongings from *** to WA for $12,200. I was required to pay a reservation fee of $1332.85 at that time. A week before the move, I was required to pay an additional $2421.43 and this amount never was recorded on my contract. The contracted amount was $12,200.00 for the completed move. On April 26, 2022, my furniture/boxes were picked up by HK *** & Storage and I paid $6000.00 to the driver. On May 26, 2022, my belongings were delivered to WA and I paid $4887.15 to the driver. The amount I paid of $2421.43 was never recorded as having been paid. I believe I have been overcharged by Nationwide *** LLC. I have made several attempts to contact the company concerning this overpayment and I get many different messages. During May on a call with the Customer Representative, I was told that the fee was to "reserve a truck" and that an adjustment would be made of approximately 60-70% of $2421.43, but that did not happen. Recently when talking with a Company Representative, I was given a manager's email address. I wrote to that person and have received no response. I then wrote a review of the company warning others who might be moving to beware of this company. I appreciate your assistance.

Do not use Nationwide. Once your movers come to pick up your things, they wipe their hands clean of any responsibility. We were promised both verbally and by team lead, ***, via email that our belongings would arrive in 5-7 days. This is one of the reasons we chose Nationwide. 26 days later we only have 60% of our belongings because the horrible movers (with an F Complaintsboard.com rating) that Nationwide hand-selected completely forgot a storage unit. They cant tell us when we will get our things and when we had contacted Nationwide to assist, they keep telling us they cant get ahold of the horrible movers they chose and that we need to reach out to them. Basically, we are not their problem anymore and they could care less that we paid in full, dont have 40% of our belongings, and have been hung up on repeatedly by the movers THEY chose.

Nationwide Moving and Storage So, at the end of 2021 I decided to move my family out of state

So, at the end of 2021 I decided to move my family out of state. We stayed at an Airbnb for a month until we were able to close on our new house. During that month I left my things in storage near my old house. When it was time for me to get my things from the storage unit I thought about flying back and driving a Uhaul. That would have costed me at most $3,500. Unfortunately, there was a massive snow storm on the day I was supposed to drive back so we decided to get a moving company. I spoke with *** and told him my situation. I told him I had a 3 bed, *** sqft home and everything was in a 10x15 storage unit. Gave him some specifics on what is inside the storage unit and all. He quoted me a little over $3,900. That's with pick up, transportation and delivery. I thought it would be safer for me to spend $500 more and have them deliver it for me. When the movers got to my storage, they told me that the original estimate was for an 816 cu ft. but the unit was a *** cu ft. So right off the bat it went from a $4k to $7,300. I had put a $900 deposit already and they cut my lock, I felt like I had no other option and told them to go ahead. At the end of the day they sent me another adjusted *** for over $10,000. It was ridiculous. Now they have my things and they wont deliver if I dont pay. Please do not contact them to move your house at all. My situation did not allow me to be there in person which makes me think they are taking advantage of me. I am extremely upset and strongly suggest that driving a Uhaul will save you thousands of dollars. Plus, you can always hire people to help you load and unload the truck. What these guys did to me is unacceptable. And at the end of it all, I was told I would get my things at my closing date but just found out I might get it 3 days later. Worst decision I have ever made.

Representatives started out professional but then after I paid $858 I was disrespected and bullied by the movers and the moving company. Mover physically took my phone out of my hand and tried to bulldoze through me aggressively to get into my unit while I wasnt present.I sent several messages inquiring about an eta for the movers with no response, until I called my bank to dispute the payment and they instantly and coincidentally called me back to update me. The movers did not arrive however until 2 1/2 hours later than the eta I was given. The eta I was given was given to me after 1:00pm, and the eta was between 1pm-3pm.

I contacted Nation Wide *** to get a quote to move my household good from ***, OR to ***, . I was provided a Quote by Deacon *** for 44 items, 408cf to include two large items Queen *** & headboard, Also a Loveseat. No appliances were included. The total cost to be $3575.97, I paid the required deposit of $*** and another *** at pick up.Nationwide subbed the move out to *** Relocation Specialists. On June 2 they came to pick up my belongings and re assessed my Items to be 40 items at an additional 388cf; less items and more cf. for a grand total of $6268.91. I was told I would be able to discuss this with Nationwide. I needed my things moved, I flew to Phx, *** that day and was also told I would get my items in 2 - 14 days, so I rented a 10x10x8 storage unit which would hold 800cf. my items never came in that time frame, so I canceled that storage and rented another only larger just in case. I didn't want any problems. on 6-18-22 I got a call that the truck was in the *** need cash, They came to my unit unloaded items -- no where near 796cf. Barely 1/3 of the 12x12x8 unit, I have been trying to resolve this whole move With Nationwide since 6-3-22. I hired Nationwide, they contracted to a third-*** Moving. Half the move was paid upfront and half upon delivery, which is difficult because the movers don't accept checks, cashiers checks, credit cards, or payment by any traceable means. The movers are here right now and only accept cash or Zelle allegedly. Zelle blocked their account due to suspicious activity, so now they're threatening me with a $7,000 "late fee" if I can't get the cash NOW. The bank's not open yet and they're charging me $150 an hour "waiting fee" for sitting in front of my house. The guys won't unload until they're paid, what am I supposed to do? There have been so many other issues with this move, it's a week late, but for right now I'm at a loss because I can't get $14,000 from an ATM and don't want to have to pay $21,000! Please HELP. I feel uncomfortable handing over that much in cash because it's untraceable.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I contacted Nationwide for a moving quote

I contacted Nationwide for a moving quote. I gave accurate information in regards to items to be loaded and moved.I was quoted a price just around $4790.55 with a deposit to NWM&S (Nationwide Moving And Storage LLC) of $550.00 I told Zach, a NWM&S representative, I moved my possessions in a 25foot U-Haul and my possessions were in a 10 X 28 Storage Unit.Zach quoted me *** feet of space needed to make this move. This is where the process is broken. I was lied to, or the company does not know how to estimate a move.I am not a mover. I trusted NWM&S to take care of the customer.I, out of good faith, called NWM&S on June 30 to add a few items to the list, which had minimal impact. I spoke to *** with the *** We, once again, went over the entire list of items to be moved. He told me the estimate was properly estimated. On July 2nd, the day of the scheduled move, the movers arrived in a 22 foot truck. I told them it took a 25 foot truck to suffice the household items.(Same thing I told NWM&S). The movers then told me that only 11 feet of the 22 foot truck was for my move. The movers told me that the NWM&S quote only allowed for 11 feet of the truck. The movers then informed me that NWM&Ss calculation/estimate was completely wrong, invalid. incompetent, and inaccurate. The movers told me that the allotted space was not enough for the move. Therefore, the move did not take place. I need to also state that the copy of the estimate that was went to me by email from NWM&S was no longer available/viewable on the day of the move. I traveled a total of 18 hours, two nights at a hotel($300.00) plus $400.00 worth of gas, and paid a $550.00 deposit to secure this move. I am now out $275.00 for an additional month of storage rental.I went home empty handed. I was incompetently and grossly misrepresented by your company. Nationwide Moving and Storage I was provided a moving estimate that was quoted at 724 cubic foot @ $5.50 per cubic ft

I was provided a moving estimate that was quoted at 724 cubic foot @ $5.50 per cubic ft.They performed a *** call on 4/20 where we went through the itemized list from the initial estimate. I sent them by email the total box count, size of boxes, as well as measurements of my furniture. The *** representative told me because I had removed so many items from the original estimate that my cubic ft went down. The movers arrived 4/22 and the first problem was they didn't speak English. They were *** who had been in the *** for 3 months. We had issues communicating. I had to tell the driver 3 times to turn right and he kept turning left. I could see him which is how I know he did this. Then I told him to angle the truck to my sidewalk and had to direct him 3 times until he got it right. As soon as they got inside my apartment he told me they had to charge me an extra $75 because it was more than 75 ft from my door to the truck. The moving company never disclosed this to me. Then they told me that often the estimates were incorrect and more cubic foot was required. I thought this was odd since they hadn't started loading anything on the truck. They loaded all of the boxes first which is typically not what movers do. You load the heavy objects first, like furniture, then the boxes. After loading all boxes they wrapped my furniture and started loading it but had to move the already loaded boxes around. It took them 4.5 hours t oload a 2 bedroom apartment that had no living room furniture to load. They told me I had *** cubic foot! I immediately called the corporate office and asked them how this could be since the *** call had me at less cubic foot than my original estimate and I had not added anything additional.Corporate spoke to the movers on speaker phone but couldn't understand them because they couldn't speak English so they had to get an interpreter on the phone. I am being forced to pay $1700 more and I don't agree.

Nationwide Moving and Storage On July 18, 2022 I signed a contract with Nationwide Moving and Storage

On July 18, 2022 I signed a contract with Nationwide Moving and Storage. My employer also paid a deposit of $1559.57.Since that time I have spoken to *** twice, *** or *** and then finally a supervisor yesterday. Several time I was told that they could not take a credit card for the amount due at pickup and at delivery. You could only pay with cash, money order, cashiers check. In order to do that I needed the exact about of each check so that my employers could make that happen. I told all of the above that my employers were going on vacation and would not be available to handle the request if I didn't get that info before Wednesday. They said they would try to get someone to call sooner. It didn't happen! The supervisor finally called yesterday but only after I cancelled the move with them. She said ***/*** told her I wasn't happy and had cancelled the move. She was rude, condescending, and threatening. I told her I had been trying for weeks to get someone to call with the info I needed and that if I couldn't trust them to call me then why would I trust them with more money or with a move. She said she could put me in touch with the carrier that very minute if I had the time and that the carriers could take credit cards. Told her NO ONE had told me that was a possibility that they kept saying cash, money order or cashiers check. She kept on talking over me saying things that were NOT true. Just ugly. Told her it was too late. She then told me you will not get your money back and that they would call the *** and that would ruin my credit. I asked if the call was being recorded and she said ALL there calls to customer service were recorded. I said great!Anyway then I realized what they were when I talked to another reputable mover and looked them up on your site. As far as I'm concerned that never preformed any service for me and the funds should be returned. They should not be in business!

Nationwide Moving and Storage Firstly, the initial conversations with Exclusive (aka, Nationwide) were great

Firstly, the initial conversations with Exclusive (aka, Nationwide) were great. I was not made aware that Nationwide was a broker. The two men who came to collect our belongings looked shocked that we were moving a whole house. They didn't come with tools to take apart furniture as Nationwide promised and used a lot of tape to secure things. The pick-up was on Sunday (7/24/22) and they left our belongings in the driveway for several hours while I worked out the difference in cost with the dispatcher (it was drastically different than quoted - total of $14k as compared to ~$8k quote), who wanted me to pay in cash (no way was I doing that; they ultimately took a check for the difference). They did not keep in touch about the schedule, so I had no idea when our belongings would arrive. I reached out to Nationwide and was told the delivering company would be in touch (they called me several times on 8/6/22 and left maybe one message that I didn't check right away as I was in the midst of other things. When I answered, the dispatcher told me they were delivering the next day, Sunday 8/7/22). Upon arrival, we were greeted with three people: the driver and two workers. The driver did not help (he spent the 11 hours they were here, in the truck). They arrived at 10 AM or so as we were the first stop. However, our belongings were all the way on the inside of the trailer, which did not have side doors. The worker (one worker left after seeing the scope of the job) put at least half of someone else's house on our lawn as he made a tunnel to get to our stuff. The local job leader came out with another worker, but he got them situated and left. So, there were two men to work out unloading all our stuff, which they finished at about 9 PM. I was able to pay the balance after another frustrating set of conversations. No help from Nationwide and no responses to attempts to file a claim for broken and missing things. They also pre-selected low claim coverage.

Nationwide Moving and Storage This company was a disaster from the start

This company was a disaster from the start. We started a price quote to move our items from *** to Virginia. I told them multiple times that we had a VERY FULL 8x16 storage unit. I gave them some inventory and let them know that Id have to take better inventory later that week. Even though I stated multiple times the size of our unit, the first quote was for around 500 cubic feet which isnt even close. I called back to let them know it was incorrect close and again stated we had a 8x15 foot storage unit. They then adjust it to a little over 600 cubic feet and kept reassuring me that, the 600 cubic feet was just on the ground and that we had another 20% over overhead above that measurement and that all our stuff would fit. I called the company to add a couple items (no more then 15 cubic feet) about 4 days later and then the price jumped almost another another $2000. I also asked at that time if it was ok for items to be in the drawers of the dressers. I was assured it was fine. They were going to wrap all the furniture shut and move it that way. Fast forward to day of pick up. We had some extra items in our unit, but I told them to only take the furniture that was listed and the 30 boxes. The told us no and that it wouldnt fit and they demanded another $2,900. Our first quote was around $6,000 and then $7400 and now THE *** OF theyre demanding another $2900. We had to leave the next day and were left with no options. I also talked to a customer rep that day and once again she told me the items in my dresser where fine, then she called my husband and told him she never said that and lied. Then they had the audacity to text me saying I was still getting a good deal. And it was my fault because our items werent packed. They were and that was a lie. Fast forward to drop off day and theyre refusing to drop off our items and lied saying the trucks wouldnt fit. They then said we had to pay $600 for drop off or go get it ourselves. Nothing but lies.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I started with a $2800 quote for a 1 bedroom apartment

I started with a $2800 quote for a 1 bedroom apartment. It sounded low even mentioned it to *** one of their employees. Long story short, after i went over inventory again with someone else it was now up to $4700. Movers come now he tells me its up to $6300. I said thats impossible and he makes it out like hes doing me a favor and now it was $5200. I tip him and his crew $300. Heres where it gets interesting, the paper worked had an error made and there was a binding fee of $1850 not added to the $5200 i was told i must pay. As many would i was now feeling like I have been totally conned. My belongings were now at a warehouse in . The owner so he claimed at *** moving the company that my move was obviously outsourced too calls me and tells me he will not agree to the $5200 and I must pay the extra $1850. I said no and it wasnt my mistake, he tells me to come have my stuff picked up at their warehouse. They basically held my stuff hostage unless i paid this extra fee for an already extravagant amount of money for my move. I agree to pay half $925 which I basically have absolutely no choice but to do. This was the most incredible situation i have ever dealt with a company let alone a moving company. Unbelievable rude and then rude to the storage facility I was having things delivered too. Now the driver said he couldnt get his truck to my storage unit and wanted me to get a uhaul to move it there. My mind was baffled, thank god the storage center found a unit closer. The man from *** moving that held my belongings hostage was on the phone with me and general manager of storage and was rude to him as well when he told him tons of 18 wheelers come through there. This was the worst moving experience of my life. The boxes were in shambles and havent yet gotten the chance to go through my belongings to make sure its all still in one piece. it cost me $6200 to move after starting with a quote of $2800. There was zero customer service from the company.

Nationwide Moving and Storage We hired Nationwide Moving and Storage for a long-distance move

We hired Nationwide Moving and Storage for a long-distance move. They quoted us just over $6k for an estimated move, with additional costs per unit if exceeded. On June 4th, we were told our items exceeded the estimate and the new cost was $18,573.08. I questioned this, but after negotiation, the cost was capped at $14k. Despite red flags, we proceeded. Later, various calls with different bills threatened to withhold our belongings. Upon arrival, no crew was present, forcing us to unload. The truck's actual volume was less than claimed, and we were charged for unused materials. We overpaid by $11,769.64.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I hired Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC to arrange a move from one state to another.

I hired Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC to arrange a move from one state to another. They offered to disassemble furniture, pack items, transport them, and unpack at the destination. The move was scheduled for late May 2022. The sales manager confirmed the short-notice request. I paid a deposit of $962.07. However, the carrier failed to show up as planned. After several no-shows and unfulfilled promises, including a 470-mile drive I made to meet the movers, Nationwide failed to provide a carrier, leaving me to manage the move independently.

Nationwide Moving and Storage The broker Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC was deceptive and dishonest regarding the services they offered

The broker Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC was deceptive and dishonest regarding the services they offered. First, they did not make me aware that they were just a brokerage and that they would use a third party moving company called Allied Moving Group LLC. I found this out the day of pickup. I was told by Nationwide that my sofa could be taken apart for the move. I was adamant that it would not fit through my doorway unless it was taken apart and they reassured me that it could be done. My Sofa was left behind because it could not fit through the doorway. The movers did not attempt to take it apart or provide any other options. When I spoke to an Allied rep, they said they do not take sofa's apart, they dont know why nationwide told me that. The sofa was $1900 and they only credited me $150. Our original estimate was for *** cu ft, but on the day of pickup we were told we needed *** cu ft, after the mover eyeballed our stuff prior to loading. Our original estimate of $6145.40 increased to $9600.00 the day of pick up. I spoke to nationwide about the extra charges and was reassured that I would only be charged for the space I used on the truck and that *** cu ft would be a full truck. After the truck was packed with our items, it was only halfway filled. I contacted an Allied rep regarding this and they told me that the truck can fit *** cu ft, so considering the truck was only halfway full our original estimate of needing *** cu ft was more accurate. Nationwide said that they would take care of me and represent me as their client and speak on my behalf, but they have not done anything to try to resolve these issues. Allied said that Nationwide used software that gave an inaccurate estimate and Nationwide said they use top of the line software to give customers accurate estimates. These companies are working together, but not on the same page and are not providing reliable service to customers. Each company is blaming the other and theres no resolution.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I booked Nationwide on June 21 for a move from one state to another for a pick up date of June 27th and estimated 14-day delivery

I booked Nationwide on June 21 for a move from one state to another for a pick up date of June 27th and estimated 14-day delivery after pick up. The quote was said to be binding. On June 26th, the team called to review my inventory. I upsized 5 medium boxes to large, increasing my quote by $200. I inquired about further changes and was told the rate would be consistent. Yet, on moving day, upsizing 5 more boxes meant an extra $200 just for the boxes, and they would only take half of my inventory unless I paid significantly more. I was already over budget by $400, so I declined the additional items. The volume assessments by Nationwide and the driver differed greatly. They wouldn't move items from upstairs without extra fees, despite it being a short 12-step staircase. My belongings arrived 34 days later, after persistent follow-ups. They couldn't park near my apartment, citing extra charges for elevator use and distance over 75 feet from the truck. They parked a block away, unloaded there, and left without moving anything closer. The items were damaged, and when I inquired, I was directed to insurance. Amidst a drizzle, I moved everything from the street to my apartment. Upon unpacking, I discovered two medium boxes were missing. I immediately contacted the driver but got no response, so I emailed the carrier.

Nationwide Moving and Storage We hired Nationwide Movers LLC for a move to Georgia, when we spoke to

We hired Nationwide Movers LLC for our move to Georgia. On May 11, we explained to the broker that we were flying to GA on July 21 and needed our belongings by July 22. He assured us that pickup would be around July 9 or 10. The move cost $20,000, including loading and unloading services. On July 10, only two exhausted movers arrived, earning $130 a day. They worked slowly, claiming they were sleep-deprived, so our sons assisted. After a few hours, they couldn't continue and had to return the next day. As of July 23, we were informed rudely that our items were still in a warehouse and wouldn't arrive for another two weeks. Our family, including four children, is without essentials in GA. Repeated calls provided no solution, and our request for hotel accommodation was denied. The employee who arranged our move acknowledged this wasn't standard and promised to contact his Director, but we've received no consistent information from the staff. We're now in an empty house, lacking necessities.

Nationwide Moving and Storage I contacted this company for a Touch Free move

I contacted this company for a Touch Free move. And I was quoted a price of $8100 total for the square footage used. And stated they Do Not Contract out their work. The company was supposed to move us May 10th & 11th. Then they contacted us to see if we could leave a day earlier which was May 9th. we did. Our house was already sold and new owners were taking over on the 12th. They did not show up on the 10th or the 11th. After making SEVERAL calls I was finally contacted back and was told the crew that was *** me had came down with Covid. he was sending someone out the next day on the 12th. He did 2 people and they did not have enough boxes for our items No tools to take my furniture down. So, we ended packing our own stuff, Used my own tools and took what needed to be broke down apart. I was told I would get a Discount of $500 for leaving early another $500 for packing my own items. And after all the packing was done I headed to my new home. In the mean time. I was told they were going to take one load to a storage and then pick up the rest to be delivered. Well, They NEVER showed up with my items and I requested the information on what storage was my items left at. after refusing MANY TIMES! Finally they gave me storage name and address when I went there the office said they did not have a storage for me or the company name. So, I called them again and asked them where they were with my items. And they tried to say they were at the storage unit. I told them I was at the storage company and the storage people said my stuff is not here. at that time they asked why I was making this so hard for them? I just asked Why are you not bringing me my household items? They said they would bring the items when I had paid my *** and I told them if they would bring my stuff I would pay the *** I hadn&#;t seen anyone to PAY IT! At this time someone from the company had flown to Alabama just have me sign off on the *** of Lading. Well the *** of Lading said $18,500!. Which was not what we had agreed on. I even sold several items to save on the square footage. When the gentleman flew down I only signed the Estimated *** even though I was also supposed to be discounted for the inconvenience of the delay, packing my own stuff and leaving early. But they have all my belongs and have had them since May 12th. They NEVER delivered my home goods and They are OVER CHARGING ME! I don&#;t even care about the discounts anymore. I just want my Belongings!
