make sure you understand the contract terms and no cancellation from day 1 or minute 1. The contract terms state taht there are no cancellation other then statutory rights which doesn't mean 7 days as I thought. I wanted to cancel the order after couple of hours from the order and Caroline Castigliano excersised option to take 50% of my deposit. The company staff is trained to treak customers to sign contracts and company doesn't care about reputation and on any circumstances will keep your deposit regardless that they did nothing to your dress within 2 hours and incured no cost. The company staff will lie to you and mislead you to make their commitions. I ended up taking them to court to get my money back and after months I received 70% and Caroline Castigliano kept 30% for no work done to the dress and didnt care that they staff lied and misled me and even lied on defence statement to court.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I must say that the look of this shop is lovely but the experience I had there was terrible:
Firstly, I had to pay the fee to try on the dresses and then they were so rude about me bringing more than two people with me to try on, though of course I wanted to bring my mum, step mum and mother in law to see my wedding dress. The staff were condescending and pushy and lots of the dresses fairly tacky looking. However they turned out to be the best of a bad bunch so in the end I did buy my dress from them. On the day however the corset was very hard for my bridesmaid to do up, agony to sit do
I bought my wedding dress from Caroline Castigliano and had a terrible experience. Despite having involved solicitors she has treated my mum and I terribly. My dress had to be remade on the Wednesday before my wedding which was on the Sunday. I did not get to try it on until the Friday morning and even then they took it away for further alterations. Despite these enormous problems I was offered no compensation or even a serious apology, we had to cancel family dinners and all my beautician appointments had to be rescheduled. Additionally they did not even bother to send someone to help me put on my dress on the day, I had not tried it on since their last alterations on the Friday.
She acknowledged her mistakes by sending me flowers and remaking the top section of my dress, but I was not compensated. She gave me no refund, discount, nothing complimentary, nothing.

My dress has been in dispute for 10 months as it broke 45 mins into my wedding day. They claim it was my fault for signing and not checking the finish of the dress and that in my photos the dress didn't look broken (it had to be safety pinned). The straps were important to keep the dress up else I would have exposed myself for sure had it not been pinned. I couldn't have checked the dress either due to it being stuffed to keep the shape and my being ordered not to removed said stuffing until the wedding day. They have so far offered me a voucher for the amount of the dress and a repair and preservation on the dress. I'm thinking of taking them to court but I'm not sure how to go about it and if it is worth doing. Would you still have taken them to court had you know your outcome? How long did it all take to process? Were they good legal wise? Please help! They are frustratingly bad at customer service, have offered no apology and accepted no blame.
