Great competitive rate! The process was seamless and very easy. We had a high efficiency ac installed first along with insulation to get us started on the right track to saving power. Our rep Rodney Smith was very knowledgeable with no high pressure at all. He explained everything very well and knew how to answer any questions or concerns we had! If you are looking to go with solar power definitely use this company! They are top-notch!

After getting 2 other estimates from other companies, we are very happy that we chose Centaur. The sales rep, Rodney, was informative and when we contacted him throughout the installation, he was quick to respond. In addition to solar panels, we needed a new roof first. Rodney directed us to a roofing company who partners with them. All involved, roofer, solar installers, etc. were quick to make appointments and get the job done professionally. We highly recommend Centaur.

I selected Rodney after meeting with 5 other companies. He stood out due to his honesty. Just before deciding to go with him, I had narrowed my choices down to Rodney and one other company. Rodney advised that I get my roof checked out prior to installing solar panels. It turned out that my roof needed to be replaced. Rodney said he would not install solar panels on my roof in its current condition. He said he would wait for my roof to get replaced. The other company kept pushing through the sale and wanted me to sign a contract while my roof was in poor condition. They even told me things I knew they could not guarantee. After I replaced my roof, Rodney delivered as promised. He is honest and he cares about his clients. He answered all my calls/ texts and has been to my house multiple times to answer questions. My solar panels went up and were turned on quickly. The panels are producing as expected and I am seeing the reductions in my electric bill. Months after the sale, Rodney still returns my calls. I'm a happy customer.

After years of "thinking about" installing solar panels on my home, I finally decided to do it. I reached out to 6 companies and interviewed 5 of them. Rodney of Centaur construction was very thorough, knowledgeable and honest. He gave me information on the systems and process that some of the others did not. He suggested that I replace my ancient air conditioner as part of the installation to get a tax credit and to reduce the power usage to keep the panel installation under the 11.4 kW threshold for insurance. I down-selected from the 5 companies to 2 and worked through the final details with each and selected Centaur. I am satisfied that I made the correct choice. They delivered what they agreed to do across the board. The AC installation turned out to be more difficult than he had anticipated. After assessing the requirements at my house, his subcontractors returned with the necessary materials and did a terrific job on the installation. Rodney was prompt returning my texts and/or calls as we went through the installation process. They worked well with the county & FPL to get the system installed and turned on. I have been tracking the system's performance for 11 days since it went online. It has been performing as expected. I appreciated that Centaur met their commitments and that Rodney was always available for support.

We started our journey with Centaur after we had been bombarded by pushy door to door solar sales people from a multitude of companies, many from out of state. Our home is located near the beach in Florida with plenty of unobstructed sunshine available. With the variability in energy costs coupled with the inefficiencies inherent to an older 1960s home we were seeking a way to stabilize our energy costs while we gradually improved the overall energy efficiency of the home. We contacted several companies that offered the microinverter technology we we were interested in, provided reputable PV panels, and had experience with installations in a hurricane zone. After meeting with several, we were impressed by Rodney Jones from Centaur Roofing and ultimately selected them to handle the installation. Within a week of signing the contract the panels were being installed on the roof. The inspection process went exceptionally quick and the longest wait was for the utility company to install the bi-directional meter (net metering is available in Florida for now) and to provide authorization to to operate. Unfortunately, the timing of this authorization is beyond the contractor's control and is dependent upon the bureaucracy of your local utility. Even with the wait with our utility company our system was activated within 30 days. Our system is a tier 2 which required additional insurance but Rodney had advised us of this while we were discussing the system design so there were no surprises throughout the process. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the system or the performance of our 18.28 KW system. Since the installation our power bill is reduced to the mandatory FPL connection fee of around $10.

Unfortunately, I don't have a very good experience with Centaur Roofing & Construction. I hired them to change my roof, but due to personal problems, I couldn't be at home the day they installed the roof. My wife and I were out of the country. On September 23rd, we arrived and found that we had no water. I called the county of Seminole to ask if there was any damage, but they said no. I automatically called the person with whom I signed the contract, and he told me that they had turned off the water line. I asked why they had not warned us that they had turned off the line. He told me it was company policy. When I turned on the water line, no more than 2 minutes passed when water started draining from the ceiling on the second floor. The lights were filled with water. The house literally flooded, and water began to flow in parts of the garage, the social bathroom, one of the rooms, and the walls. I ran and turned off the water line and immediately called the person again to explain the situation. They came and helped me clean up. All the water accumulated in the living room, social bathroom, the second-floor corridor, etc. He offered me to go to a hotel for 2 nights, but unfortunately, I couldn't work all week. The next day, one of the owners named Jeremy came, and I asked him to call a plumbing company to stop the leak. Then he told me not to worry, that they were going to help me, and they wanted to send people who work for them to bring normal fans to supposedly dry the water. I refused and told them that I was going to take care of finding a company specialized in this type of work. Those fans were running for 6 days, 24 hours a day. Another owner, Mr. Justin Brown, also came here and told me not to worry, that they would help me solve this problem. But all that is a lie. They are like politicians who promise but nothing happens. I told them that my wife suffered from breathing problems, but they don't care about that. My wife became ill and lost her voice for 2 days due to the dust and wet insulation. We had to go to a friend's house for 3 days because I was worried about my wife's health. When I saw the negligence of Centaur Roofing & Construction, I decided to call a lawyer. I explained my situation, and he told me that he would represent me legally if I wanted. Then one of the other owners, Mr. Carlos Silva, wanted to talk to me so that we could reconcile in some way. I accepted to meet him and proposed to compensate me for the inconvenience that all this problem was causing me, and that I would make an insurance claim. But they would also have to pay for the deductible of this new claim. Previously, Mr. Justin Brown told me that I only had to pay a single deductible per year. I called the insurance, and they told me that it was only a deductible if it was for a hurricane claim, and that Mr. Justin is little informed. Mr. Carlos told me to make the proposal written by email, and that he was going to consult it with his partners and their lawyer. After sending it to him, he answered me 4 days later and came up with something. He asked me to send them the estimate from the insurance claim that I was making, but I told him that I did not have it. And why did they have to ask me if they weren't the ones making the claim? I called the insurance company, and I told them what he had told me, and they told me that they had no reason to ask me for that information. They also told me that Centaur Roofing & Construction had accepted responsibility for the damage to my property. Until today, I have not heard from them again. This is something very frustrating and stressful for me and my wife. As of today, I have not been able to fix my house, and it has been almost 2 months now, and nothing has been resolved. Therefore, I have decided to take legal action against Centaur Roofing & Construction.

Was a pleasure doing work with them. Rodney was very professional and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend them on the workmanship and professionalism.

Justin and crew were great! The work was timely and high quality. Justin kept me informed of every step in the process with insurance and made the whole experience easy.

What a great experience I had being able to go solar with Rodney and get a new roof on my house at a bundle price! He made sure all of my needs for my home was met and I can't thank him enough!

From start to finish did a great job on my solar electric system installation. They took care of everything from permitting to FPL meter change out. About six weeks from first discussion to completed job.

I just finished my roof installation with Centaur Roofing. They were one of the best companies I ever used for anything. They were professional, responsive, and did a very high quality job. The men and women did their work quickly and thoroughly cleaned up after the job was done. It could not have been better.

We needed a lot of work done to our roof and Justin took the time and explained their process in great detail. He was so professional and when got everything finalized I couldn't believe how quick they came out to get the job started. The guys who did the roof were all very nice and they did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Highly recommend them.

In April Centaur Roofing & Construction came out and gave me an estimate to reshingle my roof and rescreen the pool enclosure. They had/have top reviews and quoted me a great price. We signed the contract and I paid a 50% deposit. The check was cashed with their company endorsement stamp on back. Since then, despite repeated attempts, I have received no information or updates on when the work will be completed. Whenever I call, the woman just promises that Andrew R will call me. It never happens. It's been too long and it's more than time that they complete the contracted work.
