As I am refinancing my home central mortgage has obtained my information. The first call I was at work and asked for contact information, which I received. Since that first phone call I received 5 more within the next 2 hours from different reps. *** that point I asked to be placed on the do not call list. Since I have received over 10 more calls a day. This is disruptive to my job. Everyone apologized and said they will remove me (1 person was a little aggressive). I will not do business with a company who harasses people and will not remove from the do not call list.
Central Mortgage Funding does not respect the privacy or wishes of potential customers. I have asked repeatedly to have my name and phone number removed from their calling list and they will not comply. I spoke with several representatives and all of them were rude and not helpful whatsoever. They also refused to take me off their call list even after I asked several times. I would not spend any amount of money with Central Mortgage Funding.

During the initial call, I was at work and provided my contact information, which was promptly given to me. However, after that first phone call, I started receiving an additional 5 calls within the next 2 hours from different representatives. At that point, I requested to be placed on the do not call list, but unfortunately, the calls continued. In fact, I have been receiving over 10 calls a day since then, which has been extremely disruptive to my job. While most of the representatives apologized and assured me that they would remove me from their call list, one person was a bit aggressive. It is disappointing to experience such persistent harassment from a company, especially when they fail to honor a simple request to be removed from their do not call list. As a result, I have decided not to do business with them.

She was able to navigate through the loopholes in my loan process and persisted in getting all of my questions answered. This was by far the worst refinancing experience I have ever had. The representative, whose name I won't mention, made a lot of promises that he never followed through on. Whenever I asked for specific numbers, he always had some excuse for not disclosing the information. It was incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, we had to sign the closing paperwork not once, not twice, but three times! And each time, the numbers were different. It was a complete mess. And to top it off, when we finally closed, we realized that we only received a partial payment of what we had originally requested. The representative never informed us that the total amount and cash back amount had changed before we signed at closing. He had promised to discuss it with us beforehand, but he never did.
When we inquired about when the money would be deposited into our account, we were simply told to wait a few more days. It was incredibly frustrating to be kept in the dark like that. Finally, when the money did hit our account, we discovered an error. But instead of fixing it, we were told that it couldn't be corrected and that the representative should have paid closer attention to the paperwork.
To add insult to injury, the branch manager tried to downplay the situation by saying that it would all work out since we didn't have to make the first payment for another month. But that's what's supposed to happen anyway, so it wasn't like they were doing us any favors. Plus, they had shorted us $5,000, even though our total loan amount was well above the amount we had originally asked for. It just doesn't make sense. Where did the money go?

Terrible experience. If you ever receive a cold call from this company, I strongly advise you to save your time and money by ignoring it. My father was contacted by the company regarding refinancing his loan and extracting some equity to pay off debt. Unfortunately, the loan officer greatly overestimated the value of the home, which ultimately resulted in the loan being denied and my father losing $700 for the upfront appraisal fee. What's even worse is that I was repeatedly lied to by various members of their team. When I called to verify the numbers before signing anything, I was assured that the figures were "preliminary" and that I shouldn't worry because they would change once the final paperwork was prepared. However, the loan officer later claimed that my father himself had provided the original estimate for the home, which was significantly higher than a reasonable value. This was a complete fabrication. Additionally, the management tried to justify their actions by stating that they rely on an AVM (auto valuation model) to estimate home values. So, which is it? Did they obtain the absurdly high number from my father or from their model? I consulted some friends in the mortgage industry, and they all agreed that there must have been an error in the calculations, as there was no valid reason for the paperwork to reflect such an inflated value for that address. When I called to request a refund for the appraisal fee, the response I received was, "What do you expect us to do about it?" Well, maybe they could start by refunding the $700 we wasted on an unsuccessful approval and stop being so careless with other people's hard-earned money for their own selfish gain.

I had a very negative experience with this mortgage broker. I began the process of refinancing my house on March 6, 2023. Initially, I was working with a mortgage broker named [Name] who provided me with their NMLS# and CMF NMLS#. [Name] informed me that I was supposed to close on May 3rd and advised me not to make a payment for that month. They had locked me in at a rate of 5.5% in March, but when we finally closed in June, the rate had increased to 7.1%. Unfortunately, [Name] never informed me of this change or sent me a disclosure regarding the rate increase. As a veteran with limited income, this was a significant financial blow.
During the closing process, the lawyer who came to my house assured me that I would receive a copy of the documents once they were in the system. However, since June 11th, I have made numerous calls to obtain copies of the paperwork I signed on that day. [Name] has been avoiding my calls and has even deleted all the correspondence she sent to me via Dropbox Sign. According to *** state law, she had three days from the date of the mortgage closing to send me my documents, but she has erased all of them from Dropbox Sign.
Furthermore, I have not received a corrected check from [Name] for PennFed. The check was written out incorrectly and was meant to pay off my car loan, which was one of the reasons for refinancing my house. [Name] owes me money, but they refuse to return any of my phone calls or provide me with my mortgage documents. The lawyer who conducted the closing made it clear that they have no responsibility for providing paperwork.

I began the process on May 28, with the understanding that I would not need an appraisal due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All they required from me was a copy of my Maryland Child Support Order, which I promptly provided. On June 1, I received an email stating that my loan was in underwriting and was also informed not to make any mortgage payments for June and July. However, to my surprise, I received a call from my mortgage company stating that my mortgage had not been paid for June and that I would be charged a late fee. This was completely unexpected as I have never been late on my mortgage payments.
When I contacted Central Mortgage Funding, LLC. to inquire about the status of my refinance, I was informed by *** that it had not been processed due to a backlog. I was never notified of any changes in the process, which is highly unprofessional. I sent an email to *** expressing my concerns and asking when I could expect to go to settlement. In response, I was informed that they would be looking for a new loan for my refinance. This has left me in a state of panic as this company has all of my personal information and has failed to follow through on their promise to refinance my home.

They both assured me that I would receive a call within an hour, but I never received any call or explanation.
