Chesaco Motors 5th wheel sold twice, dealer did not deliver merchandise

On Saturday, May 13 2023 I called Chesaco multiple times (11:28am, 1:43 pm and 2:21pm) inquiring about stock #09074 Factory New 2022 Crossroads Cameo 3961MB 5th wheel. Sale price $59,995. I talked to Lance Davison. I asked Mr Davison to send me a proposal for the unit with some added options. He expressed a customer was on the way to the show room to look at the same unit. He said if they didn't buy it he would send me the pricing. I did not want this unit sold out from under me so I place a deposit on Chesaco's website for the unit and followed it up with a call to Lance Davison. I explained to him that I made the deposit because I wanted to complete the deal before the other customer view the unit. At that point Chesaco did not have a commitment nor a deposit from this potential customer. The deposit and call to Lance occurred at 2:21 pm Saturday, May 13th. Lance responded that he would prepare my ales contract later that day and email it. Again, the other potential customer had not arrived to view the unit at this point. The sales contract never arrived in my email box. I called their office later in the day and they had closed. On Monday morning I sent a text that my documents had not yet arrived. Lance called a little later and expressed that he in fact sold the unit to the other customer after he was full aware and confirmed I had made the deposit. Chesaco phone systems state every time you call there that the call is being recorded. I invited both Lance and his manager to listen to the call and understand they had already sold the unit to me BEFORE the potential customer arrived. They both refused to retrieve and listen to the call because they knew they had done something borderline illegal and unethical. I have attached a copy of the ad and a copy of my Paypal receipt confirming my deposit to Chesaco and a screen shot of the calls to Chesaco and a copy of Chesaco deposit parameters from their website. It clearly states that they have the right to make final decisions to hold vehicles receiving multiple deposits "at the same time". I processed and phoned to confirm with Lance my deposit was the only deposit they had at that time. Any other deposits they took were at a later time.

Desired outcome: I expect Chesaco to honor the sales price, my deposit and product this unit or an identical unit for the same price ASAP.

Chesaco Motors Damaged items on delivery I bought camper brand new the last week of May

Damaged items on delivery I bought camper brand new the last week of May. It was delivered to my house on June 1 with damaged parts on stove. I texted sales guy right away and called there service department. They guy I talked to said they knew about it and it could take 30 days to 3 months to come in. I waited never heard from anyone. I called 2 months later and no one knew anything about it. New manager said he would take care of it. He put warranty claim in and I just got an email 5 months from delivery the claim was denied. The whole process has been horrible. Nobody at this facility responds to phone calls and emails.

Chesaco Motors My wife and I bought a 5th wheel camper from Chesao Rv

My wife and I bought a 5th wheel camper from Chesao Rv. When we had our walk through. We noticed that the black tank was full of waste. The toilet was leaking around the base. The TV was not working. The back jacks did not work. We could not put the awning out because they put a camper to close to our. The awning has rips tear and holes. We requested a second walk through after everything was fixed. Which we never got. Chesao delivered the camper to our permanent spot without us knowing. It sat there 5 days before we found out. Nothing was fixed. I have all the emails and text messages. Sayimg they will fix it. Now they are saying no.

I have been unable to get my order processed or get updates my Travel Trailer delivery. Lack of any customer service after collecting my deposit. I bought a Aspen Trail LE 26BH Travel Trailer at the *** RV Show in August . After several emails/phonecalls about my order status, I learned that my order was never placed by Chesaco. I got the run around from day one, first being told orders would arrive sometime in late November. I had a few questions about the unit couple of weeks ago and was directed to contact the location in PA since they have my sales information? Regardless, I called them several times, only to find out that it was never even ordered for some reason and that there is one that some lady ordered that I could get for the same price. I am now having second thoughts as I still don't have any delivery date, VIN, etc. Athough I put down a $1,000 deposit, my saleperson is no longer working there, nobody placed the order, followed up with me, or even knows when it will arrive. I'm was hoping to get this resolved but at this point only resolution I feel is to cancel my order altogether and get my deposit refunded. Chesaco has several complaints which I should have learned about before proceeding with this order. My deal number is ***, Invoice #***.

Brought the trailer in for warranty work. The service manager diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes of looking at it in the parking lot. I then asked him if I was going to be charged the fee if it's not going to be covered on warranty. He clearly explained to my husband and I that if Chesaco doesn't do anything, you won't be charged. It was a small cosmetic issue and didn't need to be diagnosed by a technician. A 3 year old could have seen the rust on the jacks. I was forced to initial the piece of paper indicating I would have to pay a fee if they did work on the trailer. If I didn't initial the paper, they wouldn't even look at the trailer. After picking up the trailer and the manager charging me $75 for no work completed. After leaving the store, extremely upset, he called me and asked to bring it back so he can take pictures to submit to the insurance company. Isn't that what I brought it in for the first place? Also, we purchased the extended warranty through Chesaco, so they should know what's covered and what's not covered without even having to look at the trailer. This is a money making scheme that this company practices! I asked for the name of his manager and he refused to give it to me. We are all strapped to cash right now due to Covid and the fact that this company is robbing customers is sinful.

Put a $1000.00 cash deposit on a travel trailer on February 24. Was told on March 1 loan denied. Asked them to refund us, They said would be in bank in a few days. Having heard nothing, we took a ride up there on March 3. David the finance manager said he sent it to corporate for a Refund, it would be in by the end of the week. Called yesterday as still have no refund, David said when he gets an email it's refunded he will call us. It's now been 13 days, I want my money.

We purchased our RV back in October , since then it has been back to the dealership 3 times to fix the hot water, water hook up. The first time they replaced the water inlet board so the hot water would work, they fixed that issue and in the process no we have a major leak at this board and the water pump for the fresh water holding tank does not pump, we took it to the dealership and they have had it for 4 weeks and still have not looked at it. We have only had this RV for 8 months and it has been at the dealership for over 3 months for repairs I sent them an e-mail on the 15th of July and have not heard from them yet, talking to them doesn't do any good. We want the RV fixed.

I bought a brand new RV. The RV had a propane leak , non working refrigerator, and structural issues causing big safety hazards. I bought an RV on July 29th. I financed with *** bank. The service was horrible from the start. We go on our vacation to find that my rv is leaking propane in the unit causing us to get sick. The refrigerator wouldn't even work right. I then noticed the top bunk caving with my 8 year old daughter sleeping on top. The bunk bed was barely bolted into the wall. My son who has tons of medical needs was sleeping on the bottom bunk. Luckily I had the kids sleep on another bed in fear of the bunk bed collapsing . There are several defects with the rv. The front door won't even close right and the door is actually bubbling out. The rv place has been severely rude and not communicating. They tell me they will get to it when they can, they have several other people to take care of. I was told they need permission from the manufacture to even fix my camper! I am paying for a camper i can't even use, better yet sitting at the shop after using it for two weeks. I bought an aspen trail 1950 travel trailer. There is so much wrong with the camper it's sickening. I am so upset nobody did a propane check before letting my family and I leave with this RV. This has been a complete nightmare. I asked how I can return this unit and I was blown off. They see no sense of remorse for my family having these issues with a brand new camper.

Chesaco Motors July 24,2021 we arrived at chesaco rv in Joppa and met with lance

July 24,2021 we arrived at chesaco rv in Joppa and met with lance. We put a $500 deposit down on a prowler with the condition that they would get us a payment of 500-525 a month. Later that afternoon Brooke called to tell us that they couldn't meet the deal. She said she was going to try one more place on Monday. After that we didn't hear back from Brooke. I called told her and lance that I wanted my deposit back. Lance said it should be in the mail in two weeks. So I waited and nothing. At that point none of my phone calls were returned. August 30th we got a call from Oliver at there Frederick location telling us great new he found a deal. This was a month later and we had already asked for a refund as they couldn't make a deal. They ran our credit multiple times after we agreed that we would get a refund. Now no one will return our call and we are being told a manager will contact us.

Chesaco Motors I purchased a 2021 Jayco Redhawk in March

I purchased a 2021 Jayco Redhawk in March. There were immediate issues that would have been caught by Chesaco if they had properly prepped for delivery, which was as substantial charge. Subsequently I was told that all warranty issues would be addressed and I could simply call when ready for an appointment. I've attempted to schedule an appointment 18 times to date. Most calls disconnect as no one is available, the rest have not been returned. In addition I've sent an email to Jerry O. the Joppa GM. I've been told by other Chesaco locations that Joppa is experiencing serious issues. Everything from lack of staff, to supporting RV shows, to general poor management. The other locations, Frederick and Gambrills seem just as frustrated and tried to help me find another Jayco dealership to assist, but the nearest is 3 - 4 hours away. I simply want someone from Joppa to contact me for an appointment to address the warranty issues.

Chesaco Motors Purchased a 2021 brand new Jayco eagle 28.5 rsts 46,000 dollar fifth wheel on 11/28 paid a pre delivery inspection fee before I picked it up

Purchased a 2021 brand new Jayco eagle 28.5 rsts 46,000 dollar fifth wheel on 11/28 paid a pre delivery inspection fee before I picked it up but after I got it home I found 3 issues , a bent cable bracket on kitchen slide an object sticking through the fiberglass wall panel and a soft squeaking floor in front of the shower. I have never had a chance to use this trailer because it's been at Chesaco RV for 5 weeks, that said, they told me they will fix the bracket and the fiberglass side wall in about 2 to 3 more weeks but Jayco refused to authorize the soft floor. The reason I was told by several people at Chesaco why it's taking so long is that they have a shortage of mechanics and the staff was at a RV show in York PA. They also forced me to pay a fee for the warranty diagnosis. I've tried to contact the *** Mike to discuss but he refuses to take the call or call me back. I bought this trailer after a bad cancer diagnosis to spend time with my wife, so I thought!

Chesaco Motors We purchased a used camper

We purchased a used camper. Thought it would be a good thing for my wife that has cancer. Put some happiness back into her life. Chesao does not stand behind their sales. On our so called walk through, we noticed some things that were broken, the black water tank was full of s#$t,will only dump 5 gallons at a time. The toilet is leaking around the base "Which will cause the floor to rot over time" The DVD player did not work, and jacks needed a new motor, told us awning was fine. Could not put awning out because of the camper next to ours was so close.We were promised awning was OK no rips tear. Awning has a tear. They did fix the jacks. But nothing else was fixed. We requested a second walk through wich we never got. The camper was delivered to the perminent spot without us knowing. It sat there 4 days until we found out it was there. After sending many emails with no reply. Stop at the store the sales manager at laugh at us. Its upsetting spending a lot of money for a RV that they will not fix like they said they would. I had fixed the TV myself. I replaced a broken HDIM card. The black water tank being full can affect my health Product_Or_Service: RV.

Chesaco Motors company sold me an extended warranty from a company they own that is not useable, they did nothing to resolve it when contacted

company sold me an extended warranty from a company they own that is not useable, they did nothing to resolve it when contacted. On March 26th I purchased an RV and an extended warranty from Chesaco RV. On July 24th I called them letting them know I had not been able to get in contact with anyone from the warranty place for a needed repair. After calling them a few times to see if they had gotten anywhere I started to receive an attitude from the GM who was telling me to stop calling them and the warranty company, they would get ahold of me when they could. I ended up paying for the repairs when no one got ahold on me and waited till Monday July 27 to call them back about a refund for the warranty, I just needed to get some money back after having the RV fixed myself. The reason I called them about the refund is because it is in the contract that they issue refunds of the warranties and to contact them (they own the warranty company ***). I have left several messages for ***, whom I was told is the only person that deals with the warranty problems but seems to always be too busy to talk to me or call me back. After several failed attempts to contact him I am forced to make this complaint. I am afraid that they are scamming people with the after market warranties in hope that they wont need any fixes or the problem will just go away.

Never got a phone or nothing after first month being there. So called they told me they was short staffed & was trying get to it. So I waited another month again no calls so I call again to see what's going on. Was told same thing short staffed & trying get to it. This time I asked when & why does this fall on me. Said you made the appointment date to bring it in. Was told you can take it somewhere else with the warranty. So at this point it's Feb16th I have a trip in March. So I said you set my appointment a month from the date I called & now you have had it two months now there is no time to go anywhere else & I wanted the work done from where I purchase it. Was told well we are trying get to it & get done what we have here. Then goes on to say I don't think you want me to go to *** to hire someone to work on your camper. I stayed claim ask when it would even be looked at. Could not get a answer called another *** tried get a headquarters # which they will not give you. Finally got a call from General manger of the store I purchase from *** MD. He says I talked to service we gonna try get to it BUT unfortunately I can not say when & have no control over the service department smh. Would not buy a dog house from *** let along a camper. Worse customer service ever & the most unreliable . Never again...oh & not to mention there was a $130 deposit to drop it off. Had no problem taking that but cannot get to it

Dealer took taxes and fees, did not submit state registration for over 60 days Dealer sold new Coachmen RV based on empty promises of warranty support Purchased Coachman Prism 24 RV from Chesaco *** MD on Sept 4th, paid state and local sales and registration taxes for Washington DC. Since that date have followed up multiple times to check on vehicle registration status, only response has been to send a second temporary tag debut November to replace the expiring 60 day temp tag. DC DMV has clarified that there is no registration backlog in DC and no application pending for our household. Upon follow up via email with Chesaco on Nov 10th it became clear that Chesaco still had not sent in the registration application. I asked for this to be expedited and tracked, the dealership responded they would send it in but refused to track status or expedite more than sending to an outsource company with no defined delivery date or deliverable. During this same time period, we have have requesting details on how to book the vehicle in for warranty repairs (there are many manufacturing faults with the vehicle) and have, prior to Tuesday, received zero responses on how to achieve that either - despite the vehicle being sold to use specifically on the Chesaco's commitment to warranty and servicing support. The final response received on Tuesday still provides zero clarity for warranty support, solely for paid servicing - amplifying that the dealership apparently is choosing not to support the vehicle it has sold with legal warranties. At wits end, a truck purchased to enable us to support our small business operations during COVID is receiving zero support, even the statutory support, formt he company that sold it. Chesaco Motors Purchased brand new travel trailer.Company changed unit i was supposed to get

Purchased brand new travel trailer.Company changed unit i was supposed to get. Unit delivered had rust and other issues. Company not taking care issue Looked at a travel trailer prior to COVID in ***, PA. Decided to purchase and put a $500 deposit on a 2020 Dutchmen Aspen Trail LE 26ft on 4/14 VIN ***. Received an invoice with VIN and deposit received. *** Chesaco operations was moved to ***, MD related to COVID. The salesman we worked with, ***, was furloughed with covid and a different salesman's name is on the invoice, Thomas ***. Most communication was with Scott ***. I received an email that they would send the same product and layout, but different VIN from *** because of COVID. VIN #***. I did not get to see the camper they decided to "hand pick" for me prior to them delivering it. It was delivered to my home and right away rust was noticed at the welds and on the frame and pipes. Told the driver i didn't feel comfortable and he said "they all rust". Called Scott *** while driver there and he said the same thing and said we could bring it back for them to paint it. Reached out to General Manager Kelvin *** and he said he would have *** guy "wire brush the rust and paint it" and take care of everything. Took it back to dealer in *** June 2 when they reopened for business and waited a few days and I was told they would cover what was under warranty. I told them I should have never received a brand new trailer with rust. They kept apologizing that it left the dealer in the condition that it did. When we went to pick up 6/13 work was not completed adequately and *** manager looked at the work and agreed. *** manager also mentioned again they did what they could with what was covered under warranty. Called today (6/19) and family member stopped in and they hadn't even started working on it. I feel like the company knew what they were sending to me and thought they would get away with it because we arranged for delivery and because of COVID. I would never went through with the deal if I had seen the condition and when I told the driver and Scott *** when it was delivered the driver would not take it back and assured us the company was good to their word. At this point we are missing out on our 3rd weekend that we could have gone camping.

Chesaco Motors Lied about work done/not done on my unit

Lied about work done/not done on my unit. Refused to provide paperwork covering seven months of inactivity while waiting on repairs. In Late Dec of 18 come back to find my motorhome without power. I immediately contact the mfgr who worked with me to find an "authorized and recommended" dealer to take the MH to. I emphasize the need for expeditious turn around due to my living conditions. They direct me to Chesaco RV in *** MD. I call them to set up a drop off date. Mind you this is January . I am told the EARLIEST drop off time will be March since they are backed up and don't have the ability to hold a unit. I am forced to rent a storage lot. March comes and I contact Chesaco to confirm my appt one week out. I am told they cannot take me and that it will be around another month. March comes and I finally bring it in. I describe the issue, and also let them know the heating pad from one of the holding tanks has come loose and that there are gouges in the floor caused by something in the slide. "No problem". I request a weekly check in/update call. I contact my insurance company in case a total loss claim has to be made due to possible irreparable damage to the unit internal electrical system. Insurance relates they will send out an adjuster to Chesaco RV. No calls the first and second week. I call on the third week, several times as no one returns my calls or is willing to give me an update. June passes. Calls to the manufacturer to intervene amount to nothing. Insurance company calls and relates they were denied entry onto the property to inspect the MH. They relate they will continue to try. First week of July as I am driving up to OH I have a heated discussion with one of the managers. I relate I am not being kept in the loop as to why it is such a problem to get feedback. At this point he tells me the only thing they are waiting on is the heating pad and that all other things are fixed. July passes with no updates or call backs. My wife even calls and and is told if the service is so bad come and get your RV. Calls to the manufacturer to intervene do nothing. August passes. Waiting for me is a registered mail that when I open it is a letter from Chesaco RV. It relates my motorhome is at risk of being auctioned off and that I am liable for storage fees amounting to well over $1000.00. I have to take off the very next day for another assignment. I contact the HQ of Chesaco and seem to make headway with a regional manager and his secretary who does a good job at downplaying the entire incident. But I never get a call back. I attempt to call Chesaco in *** and interestingly when I ask to speak to a manager the secretary asks who I am, I tell her, she says "Oh" and I am hung up on. This occurs two more times and then my phone calls are not even picked up. Halfway through my work assignment a manager calls me and coldly relates I can come and pick up my RV without any charges. They just want my RV off their lot and relate they are simply not going to repair it due to my "attitude". He related he told my wife to come and pick up the RV and since we didn't they were going to auction it off. Other than the registered mail I received I did not receive one, not one other form of correspondence telling me this. Late Sep 19, I get back from assignment, take time off get to Chesaco to pick up my unit. Upon arrival I am treated like absolute trash. My unit was driven out to me and I am told to vacate the premises. My rear driver side tire is visibly low, my check engine light is on and there is absolutely no paperwork given to me regarding any work done or not done. NOTHING. I requested to have my tire inflated as it has to be unsafe to drive the 30 miles to the new repair location. They refuse and call the police to report me. Being LE myself I am not concerned so I pull out my little portable inflator and comence to filling up my rear tires. No record of the time or effort or lack thereof regarding my unit which has been there for almost SEVEN MONTHS! It as if it never happened.
