They have charged $12.95 a month out of my checking account for the past two months. I DON'T WANT A CREDIT REPORT SERVICE! Just looked into free credit report to see what was entailed, and all of the sudden they are taking out money every month. Don't need it..don't want it. How do we get rid of them?

They have been charging since last December 06. I have called them every month and it continues to charge my acct $12.95. What a nightmare? This is unbelievable and what a rip off. Please advise? Something has got to be done to stop this scam?

I am having the same problem with this company. I thank Mitch Roper for providing the the telephone number. I am on the phone with them now. I hate this. They are thieves. Just so you know they are from www.freecreditreport.com. Apparently even if you cancel within the 30 day trial period they keep your information and charge you whenever they feel like it. I have a credit card hold on my checking account for $12.95.! BEWARE!

I signed up for a free credit report through Freecreditreport.com. Then the charges began to roll in at $12.95 every month. I requested a cancellation of my account that apparently fell on deaf ears. After 3 months of charges, I eventually had to escalate my request via phone to a supervisor. The number called was [protected]. The hold was lengthy, but well worth it. I guess I'll see next month if the charge still shows up.

I was charged twice on my account for the same amount of $12.00. Once on 10/20/07 and again on 11/10/07. I never authorized these charges and I see I'm not the only one that has this complaint.

They have done the same thing to my fiance'. Lucky he caught it within 3 moths of the first charge. He called and cancelled and then raised a little hell until they refunded the last charge. Then he disputed the other 2 moths with his credit card company. I found it funny that when he gave the name on the statement to the costomer rep. she immediatly knew it was free credit report. com, without even looking it up on the computer! She immediatly refunded the other 2 months and blocked CIC from charging him again. Looks like Bank of America has dealt with them before...and I wouldn't be surprised if they have sued CIC. My fiance' did some checking on the net and found that there are lawsuits against CIC in 6 different states already! I just want everyone to know that if you stay persistant with CIC and your credit card company, you can get ALL of your money back.

The same thing happened to me, this is totally deceiving. I saw their commercial on network TV so I assumed they were legit. Please stay away from freecreditreport.com.

I also got ripped off on a 30 day trial at www.freecreditreport.com. We called and cancelled before the 30 days and got charged anyway. I called and complained they said we had NOT called to cancel and that they would be charging us anyway. PERIOD!

The US Attorney General needs to intervene with this company!

This is the most ridiculous scam I have ever experienced. I had to receive a credit report because of identity theft and never new that I was getting into this. I had to google to see what triple advatange was. The first link that came up was this one...what does that have to say about freecreditreport.com? I think that if I signed up for something I would know what I was paying for. The things people do to take your money is absolutely insane.

Thank you for the number. I called and cancelled. Just so others know they will try to convince you that since you already payed for the month that you should just use the services they provide. I think i said "No thank you, i would just like to cancel now" six or seven times during that phone call. Good luck to the rest of you.

I took a look at my "free" credit report and then started getting charges on my debit card. I can't find any way to get rid of the charges or find out what benefits I am supposed to be getting for my $12.95 per month. Does anyone know the website address?

These guys are crooks! How can they get away with this garbage? Can you imagine if you're overdrawn because of these guys? Will the bank refund you overdraft charges? No! Will the company give you a refund? Not without fighting tooth and nail. These guys need to be stopped and removed from the internet. Who knows what they are doing with our credit.

Some time ago I entered into what I ultimately determined was an on-line scam to get on-line users to buy into different companies asking me to choose several different companies to go to and to fill out requested information. At the end there was to be a gift certificate for $500.00 given to Lowe's it was right before Christmas and I was broke so I decided to try it. The first section was alright and ultimately did not cost me anything but after completing the requirements for one section it would move you to another section each time promising that this would be the last section. In all I submitted to Blockbuster Video and recieving movies from them via mail, I was able to contact them and cancel the deal. Then several major credit card companies of which I was not approved and therefore not eligible to move past those sections it was impossible for me to reach the end. In addition was Columbia house video which would not except my cancellation and I am still fighting with. Then several on-line business oppurtunities one of which I contacted but after finding it to be a pyramid type set-up promptly backed out of but still recieve a minimum of two phone calls every other day from a George Jones [protected] and a woman of which I can't remember the name [protected]. In addition my e-mail has been bombarded with junk e-mail from differnet companies (FreeMusic Connection, www.victor.cubbitu.com/?, and others) of which no matter how many times I un-subscribe continue to send me more than sixty e-mails a day many of them duplicated 6-8 times and being sent at the same time. Of these problems only CIC CE has managed to take money out of my account. HELP!

These charges are due to the "membership fee". Be careful when you do the free credit report becuase if you do not call to cancel your account in the first 30 days of signing up for your "free" credit report you are going to be charged $14.95 a month, without them billing you! They claim it is on the first page of the credit report page. Be careful! Go to freecreditreport.com, get the contact number, and cancel your account ASAP!

I have been billed 12.95 for 6 months for for the service. I understood that it was a free trial credit report, then I noticed it was being charged to my credit card. I called the Credit Card company and they connected me to the CICTriple Advantage Co. I told them I wanted to cancel, and I wanted nothing more to do with their company. I got billed again this past month which si the 6th month, I had notified them in November, and I got an email saying their last charge would be December 31st, 2007. So they got $ 77 from me for nothing but what I thought was a free credit report. Something should be done so that they cannot do this to people. I am on a limited income so every dollar is important to me. Please try to do something to stop this problem.
Thanks,

I don't know why I am being charged this monthly amount if I don't even use them. I use freecreditreport.com and pay $29.95 for the three reports. I shouldn't be paying this expense when all I am trying to do is keep on top of my credit.

I told him there is no way I'm giving that over the phone so he asked for the credit card # that is being charged...are you freaking kidding me?! So now I have to find another way to get this cancelled! I am SO MAD right now I want to scream!
