They have charged $12.95 a month out of my checking account for the past two months. I DON'T WANT A CREDIT REPORT SERVICE! Just looked into free credit report to see what was entailed, and all of the sudden they are taking out money every month. Don't need it..don't want it. How do we get rid of them?

I totally agree, I started seeing a charge of 14.95 from CIC CE Credit Report about three months ago, I have been searching the for website that this was set up thru and just got off the phone with them This is such a scam, I beleived that I was receiving my free credit report as offfered by the goverment once a year for free. The operator told me they are not affiliated with this program but they are with Experian Credit, I wanted my membership that I did not aurthorize canceled and I wanted to refund on the funds taken from me with out my permission they informed me that this is all disclosed on the website and they can not give refunds. I think everyone should get together and sue these people this is so unfair, I told them I would be contacting the better business bur if I see this charge again.

make sure you cancel your bank card or it will never stop and also they can sell your card number to somebody else. my bank told me this. they got me for $14.95 this morning. you can go to your bank and file a dispute claim form and your bank will investigate this and you possobly get your money credited back to you

I signed up for freecreditreport.com in November 2007. I called on December 5th to cancel this. I was told it would be cancelled, and I wouldn't be charged anymore. Well, a few weeks ago, my husband asked me if I knew what this charge was that was coming out of our bank account. I said I didn't know...After a little research, I found out what "CIC triple advantage" was. I called freecreditreport today and they told me they had no record of me calling, and they can't credit me for these past 4 months. This is a scam, and I have spread the word to all my friends not to use this company!

I'm trying to cancel myself. Went to their website and it will not open. This is totally missed up for a company not to comply and still get money out of customers accounts...this needs to stop

I found a charge as well. I called [protected] and I spoke to a living person. He said I signed up for a one month "free" trial but I did not. He was friendly and cancelled it. I guess i'll have to wait until next month to see if the charges stop.

I cancelled, but then another charge appeared on my statement. I called back. The operator said that the previous operator accidentally reactivated my account immediately after she cancelled it. She agreed to cancel it again, but said that the additional charge was non-refundable. I insisted that she remove it, having already admitted it was a mistaken charge, but she refused. I demanded to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold purportedly to talk to her supervisor. When she came back, she said her supervisor authorized her to remove the charge. I have a feeling the charge will not be removed and that additional charges will appear next month...

I called the number provided to me in my account and talked to India, to where the young girl was very hesitant on cancelling my account due to some information that I will not be receiving in regards to my credit score. She wanted to transfer me to another extension and I expressed to her that I do not need the services provided any longer, she wasn't to happy, I kept insisting on cancelling my subscription. Finally the fouth time I expressed to her that I no longer needed it she reluctantly "cancelled" my subscription. I have received the cancellation notice.

###! i just saw on my bank account a 14 dollar charge for cic triple advantage so i googled it and i see this webpage with all the complaints for free credit report .com and ### im so pissed off right now. excuse the language, but thats not right. they said there is a 30 day trial period, but when i called up to cancel because i did it just over a week ago, the lady on the phone said i had a 7 day free trial before i got charged, so i dont know how the hell they change from 30 day trial to 7 day trial but thats not right at all. i want to take some kind of action to get my money back, i mean its only 15 bucks but still i dont want to lose it to them they scammed me!

For the months of March and April, I have received unauthorized credit card charges of $14.95 per month. I ordered a "Free Credit Report" and typed in my credit card number thinking that this was going to show something about my credit, however I have been charged the 14.95 per month since I ordered the report. So I would NEVER enter my credit card on any site when you are ordering a "Free Credit Report".

Demand is made hereby for a full refund. These are unauthorized charges. As advertisedI had only requested a free credit report ONCE, never had logged back onto the site again...and never got a credit report.

I had the same problem with this CIC company. The catch is that when you sign up to receive your credit report, there is a message that pops up regarding credit monitoring and CIC. I didn't ask for this service either, but was being billed for it every month as well. I called my bank and they had given me the number to the company. I called the company and cancelled the service. You all may have to do the same. Unfortunately, I didn't save the number, but if you call you bank, they should be able to give you the number to CIC. I hope this has somewhat helped someone.

The same thing happened to me, but when I called to dispute it they said that they couldn't see the charge in their database, and that I am going to have to send in a copy of my account info as proof that the charge went through. This is just BS.

I called the number & cancelled after going through a lot of BS. My bank has suggested I also get a new check card to prevent this thieving company from doing it again. You can believe I'm going to the bank tomorrow to arrange for just that. I'm not convinced this outlaw group is not going to try to rob my account again.

I thought that my husband and I were getting the free credit report. We followed everything that they said to do in the online application and it said several times that they would not charge our credit cards that it was FREE! Well on our next months credit card bills we both had a $40.00 charge. I called and they said that we received all of the 3 credit reports which we did not and that they would not refund our money. So I was agrevated and was telling them that I didn't authorize these charges and the lady hung up on me twice. So the last time I called I asked for their mail address so I can turn them into the BBB.

By the way will they credit the amount back to our account?

I have never heard of this company and now there is a 49.95 charge on my credit card. I have not requested a credit report or signed up for any credit monitoring services. Does anyone have a website or phone number I can call to dispute the charges with the company themselves instead of through my cc company?

To whom it may concern,

I have noticed a $14.95 charge on my credit card for the past three months. I am aware that I did request a credit report from freecreditreport.com. I never received a completed report and would like to cancel my request and stop this charge from showing up on future credit card bills.

How do I go about doing this?

I experienced the same thing. I called the number listed here after "googling" the company name listed on my credit card. I called, cancelled the "account, " asked for a confirmation letter that the account had been cancelled, asked for the name and ID number of the individual I was speaking to and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. I notified them that I was very disappointed and upset by their unethical business means and false advertising, that I had every intention of contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General, and spreading the news of my experience via word or mouth to everyone I knew, and that I am in a prominent enough position that it will affect there business. I recommend that anyone experiencing the same situation follow these steps as well. The news and telecasts are a good idea also.

I found a charge of 14.95 on my credit card. No authorization was given to anyone for this charge. I do not give permission because I do not want your service or report. Please respond!

They have charged me $15.00. I called to have the charge removed and they said I signed up for credit monitoring. They will not refund the money and after being very nice and simply requesting to speak to a manager I was hung up on. He said "NO. Click".

Thank you for the info. I had same scam attack. 14.95 a month for 2 monthes.
the girl who I talked to was speaking so fast I had hard time understanding what she was trying to say, so I asked her to speak slowly, and it turned out the she was trying to sell the same service again to me when I called to cancel. I said no, then she tries to convince me to allow her to check my credit report again because there maybe changes to it. I do not know, but if I have said yes, then they may have signed me up again for the new account or something. I had to tell her I am not interested in repeatedly and also had to ask her to cancel the account again and again. this must be illegal, if not, it should be!
