I went to Claremont Toyota to buy a new car and I gotta say, it was a pretty good experience. The staff there were friendly and helpful, and they didn't try to pressure me into buying anything I didn't want. The dealership itself was clean and well-maintained, and they had a good selection of cars to choose from.
The salesperson I worked with was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They took the time to explain the different features of the car I was interested in and even let me take it for a test drive. I really appreciated their patience and willingness to help.
When it came time to negotiate the price, they were fair and reasonable. They didn't try to play any games or pull any tricks. We were able to come to an agreement that worked for both of us, and I felt like I got a good deal.
The financing process was also smooth and easy. The finance manager explained all the paperwork to me and made sure I understood everything before signing. They were upfront about the terms and didn't try to sneak in any hidden fees or charges.

I bought a car in December . They said the new sticker and license plate gonna come in a few weeks. But I never got it and now I'm driving with an expired sticker. Plus, the renewal date is July but I bought it in December. I tried calling them but they never answer. I want a partial refund for what I paid.

In January , we decided to buy our new car from Claremont Toyota because they offered a free lifetime oil change. The only condition was that we had to exclusively service our car at Claremont Toyota. If we went anywhere else, the contract for the free lifetime oil change would become invalid. Due to this condition, we had no choice but to have our car serviced at Claremont during the 2-year factory warranty period and the free services that come with all new Toyotas.
However, after our warranty expired in January , Claremont Toyota has refused to honor their contract for the lifetime free oil change. They have modified our agreement by adding a requirement for a $99.89 multiple point inspection in order to qualify for the "free" oil change. According to state regulations, mechanics are obligated to report safety concerns to vehicle owners during service. Inspections have always been conducted free of charge for safety reasons and quality control.
I am disappointed with this breach of contract and would like to file a complaint.

They didn't disclose the port issue that caused the delay. When I found out, I emailed them and went to the dealership to ask about their responsibility to inform me. They didn't respond and I made it clear that I wouldn't wait past the promised delivery date. Later, the finance manager emailed me saying I could cancel if I wanted to. So, I went to the dealership to cancel and the sales manager said he would process a refund, which would be available in a couple of days. He gave me a document with the facts and asked how I wanted my refund delivered. I wanted to pick it up in person, but I had to change my plans due to work. I emailed them about it, but they didn't acknowledge my email. Instead, they gave me a document stating that I canceled the purchase, but they refused to give me a copy of the contract. They ignored my requests during the process and my emails. Luckily, I have the email correspondence and recorded conversations with the sales manager, and my friend was there as a witness too.

Recently, I noticed that my steering wheel was covered with a cheap piece of fabric instead of a hard shell that connects to the steering wheel and the dashboard. I contacted the dealership and told them that they forgot to put a hard shell on my RAV4 steering wheel, which connects to the dashboard and requested it to be fixed. I made an appointment with the Service Department to take my RAV4 to the dealership on December 27. A Service Manager assisted me. I showed him the steering wheel, and he had another Service Rep take a look at it too. They asked a technician to examine the new models on the lot to see how they were made. The technician returned with a photo and informed me that all the models were made like that. I disagreed because I had been inside 2 other 2021 RAV4s, and they had hard shell covers over the steering wheel. However, the Service Manager mentioned that someone with a RAV4 similar to mine had visited the Service Department and he checked her car. He came back to my car and confirmed that I was right. He was unaware that Toyota had cut corners on some models. So, I approached the lady and asked if I could see the inside of her RAV4 and take pictures. The Service Manager then informed me that I needed to contact Toyota Headquarters as it was a manufacturing problem. I called Toyota Headquarters on a specific date at 9:34 a.m. and spoke to a representative. I also called the dealership on a specific date at a specific time and spoke to multiple representatives. According to them, the dealership cannot fix it. I called the dealership again on another date and spoke to a representative. The representative stated that the dealership mentioned they have no record of me ever bringing my car in regarding the steering wheel fabric versus the hardshell cover. No one is taking responsibility, and I keep getting the runaround.
