Incompetent
We are a military family and hired cmk in 2022, and we will not recommend this company to anyone, they lie, steal and their work is mediocre for the money they charge.
They hire uncertified people and charge you as if they have professionals working.
They lack communication and the PMs are not on your side. We had about 3-4 different Project managers during the process and each time we had to explain what needed to get done, this creating confusion and misunderstandings.
CMK charged us around 44k to remodeled our master bath. Then they charged us an extra $950 out of pocket for an unforeseen issue which turned out to be a mistake, when we requested our money back they said they applied the money to something else, which we did not give them permission for, and they did not do a change order showing us the actual cost for what they applied it to ( bathroom lights, which is another story). They removed our baseboards, repainted it and put that same old baseboards back even though we paid for a total remodeling ,to include new baseboards that was listed on our contract. The baseboards look horrible, we had a professional come look at it and we were told they were not new baseboards, the caulk in our shower is horrible, there are chips every where. All of these things came to light once we moved our things back in the bathroom, little by little we would notice things after the paint dried.
They also damaged our living room wood floor and the pavers in front of our home. They refuse to come to a proper agreement with us financially to repair the damages even after providing them professional quotes for the repair. They tried to repair the damages themselves, but caused more damages, then they tried to blame us saying we caused the damages. We have been going back and forth with a lawyer, but now we say to hell with it, we will take our loses but I will make sure they lose more with the this review. We still owe them around 4k which they will not get and they haven’t asked for because they know very well they us around 9k for all the damages they caused, plus our $950. We have lots of pictures to show the work done. DO NOT HIRE CMK, they are unprofessional and unreliable. . Does not communicate, and will perform mediocre work. Seek out small business owners instead.
Recommendation: Do not hire do not hire do not hire pictures don’t lie

CMK WAS VER EFFICIENT in the remodel of our master bathroom. I almost went with another company because of cost , After my neighbor took a lower price from my first estimate their having problems with supplies and contractor. We moved forward with CMK and from the Sales Manager to the Salesman it's been great . And it was complete on time . Thanks just in time for my family visit.
We are so glad that we called CMK Construction.. I spoke with Georgia, she is wonderful, very attentive and knowledgeable. Answered all the questions, told me what to expect during the consultation, and was very flexible with our conflicting schedules, so I knew right away that there is something special about this company. I didn't get the same feeling with the other 2 contractors I already met with. We had an appointment with our project consultant Kelly and everything Georgia told she delivered. I was very pleased with CMK and decided to move forward. Our project manager Joe was great! We did our master bathroom & we love it! Workmanship and attention to detail is incredible. We are receiving so many compliments that we decided to do the kitchen as well! You will be hearing from me soon!
I'm extremely satisfied with my experience with CMK Construction. My appointment was set cheerfully. My consultation was timely and professional. The details of my project were tuned harmonically, and the execution was actually flawless. My project manager, Joe, kept me in the loop throughout every step of the process. Many recommendations were made regarding design and between my vision and designer, I have to say that the end result was better than I thought possible. Thank you CMK Construction!

From start to finish we had very good communication and workmanship
From start to finish we had very good communication and workmanship. We did an entire bath remodel, down to the studs and rebuild with floor to ceiling tile, new tube and toilet. Our project coordinator was *** and he did a great job of letting us know everything that was going on and estimated timing. Great job CMK.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
We started our master bathroom project in June and it is still not complete. We have a punch list with items that could be addressed now but are not willing to come back for another month since one of our items is not in stock unless we release the rest of their funds which we are not comfortable doing. The bathroom is unable to be used in the interim. This is after our project manager has changed 3 times. The hardware installed is not level. The cabinet side panels were installed poorly with gaps. The tub was not centered. The quartz countertop is chipped. We tried escalating to the owner and no one replied. I would not recommend.
Please go elsewhere if you want efficiency. The operations and project management side of this company is terrible and sales people will tell you whatever you want to hear. I had my 6x7 bathroom done by this company. I have contacted their warranty services for a few issues twice now, both times saying I will receive a call back from someone and I have never recieved a call and it has been a few months now. Convenient because I am close to my 1 year warranty mark. The project took over two months for a small bathroom and the work was extremely shoddy. The demo took one day and that was great so I was excited. Then no one showed up for a few days after that. They sub out the work (which the sales rep told me they are all in house). You get a different sub contractor each day, usually one person a day only. And there were MANY days in between where no one showed up. I had 3 different guys in a row and each complained they had to redo work from the previous guy because he did it wrong. The sales rep said they did acrylic shower walls similar to that of Westshore Home and Luxury Bath (their competitors). This was a complete lie! The cheap acrylic walls they ended up using were maybe $500 from Home Depot and are JUNK! They are not stabilized and they flex when you push on them like there is no support behind them. Not the same as the high grade acrylic from these competitors who, by the way, can complete an entire bathroom install in 2-5 days! Not 2 months! I am so disappointed with the quality of the acrylic walls. It has been less than a year and I already want to replace these crappy, cheap walls. I spent over $15,000 for this bathroom remodel and still had to purchase my own vanity, mirror, lights, towels racks (which they installed but are now falling out of the walls). I expected the bathroom to not need to be redone for YEARS for that kind of money and I expected top of the line acrylic walls but it is already having many issues.
They used cheap, particle board type wainscoting that they put right next to the shower without a barrier and it started puffing up and bubbling a few months after install. Originally they installed the wrong type of outlets that didn't meet code and installed the air vent incorrectly and I specifically asked for them to install it so the steam goes outside and not into the attic and they did it wrong anyways. These issues were resolved. The project manager was a complete disaster, some frat boy who was definitely not organized enough to manage projects. He never wrote anything down and never did anything he said he was going to do. He was a yes man and tried to please you instead of being realistic with expectations. The wall texturing is another huge issue, every time I go in there and look anywhere at the walls I get so upset because the texturing is so shoddy, you can see flaws everywhere. I also had this company update the plumbing in my 1951 house and they subbed that out to Tony the plumber who did great. That was about $3200 or so and that was well worth it, him and his crew finished that in one day. But the $15,000 I spent on the bathroom itself, I have no idea where that money went besides maybe 2 months of labor for a job that should've taken a week or two. Toilet was leaking a few days after install and they came out and sealed around it. Hopefully it's not just covering up the problem. My main issues with the workmanship are the cheap, junk acrylic walls that were NOT what was discussed with the sales rep (this is where I feel ripped off the most), the accessories falling out of the walls, the extremely shoddy wall texturing, and the wainscoting that is puffing up and needs replaced in less than a year. I tried to contact CMK warranty services twice about these issues, talked to 2 different receptionists, both saying I would recieve a call and have still not heard back from anyone. Terrible experience overall. Go elsewhere.
My experience CMK was terrible. Very unorganized, unprofessional, no communication, unreliable. We had a small kitchen remodel and it took 4 months even though all of the needed materials were sitting on the patio from the day they did the demo. No one returned for weeks to start installation of the cabinets. I would not recommend this company. They block negative comments fro their social media pages too. The salesperson is very forgetful and even though he uses the tablet, he is unable to retrieve your choices. They advertise no financing for 18 months, but they add it I to the cost of the project. Stay away from this company, very unethical. I was told they would do a final clean which was included in the price, it never happened nor did we received a credit. Also. We had 2 boxes of tile not used and again they would not credit us. Also when they started the install the cabinets were not centered and I was told it was the best they could do. Fortunately a new project manager came on board and made them remove them and start over. We are also left with a drawer that can only be fully opened by opening the oven door. Stay away
Don't hire, no skilled workers, disorganized and suspicious business dealings. We want our money back and out of the contract at this point. They've collected $ 40,000 from us to do a simple master bathroom redo, no design change and only because we had a leak in the shower and had to. We started in October'21 and not even half the work is done as of May '22. Kelly, the front person, good presentation and talker for the co. Signed the contract in November'21 for $32000. Design in January with Rebecca, who said the cabinetry/sinks were not in the $32,000 contract so would not start until we paid another $8000 for a simple 6ft long 3ft tall & 2 ft deep cabinet, 2 sinks, & counter top. Rebecca talked us out of all things we wanted indicating it was not in budget and advised us as impractical. Collin was the first of the 3 project managers, who came in Feb. & gave us a start date of Feb. 13,'22 but Jon, the scheduler, said what we picked with Rebecca was not in stock & hurry up to change our choice so project start date didn't get delayed so we did that same day, Rebecca picked "close enough & reportedly in-budget". Yet, start date was delayed anyway until Mid. March. 2nd proj.man., Andy, nice talker, all he got done was have workers demolish the bathroom. Then, reportedly had a family emergency and we got David D., 3rd PM in April, who was able to get a plumber to update the existing plumbing working 3 hours in one day. But 2 electricians came and went because of apparent disputes with CMK for inaccurate job orders, untimely & underpayment. CMK claimed the lighting we discussed was not part of the $32000 & demanded another $400 from us to proceed and finally a 3rd electrician did the prelim job in 6 hours just last week. Since then, CMK has assigned an unskilled floor/drywall person, Pedro, who comes 3 times a week for 1-3 hours and we still don't have any paint or tiles on the floor or walls. I am not sure what he does. There is no consumer protection/recourse.

We write this only to tell of our experience. We hope to never hear from CMK again. We expect nothing.
If you decide to use this company be aware of what could happen to you.
We hired CMK to remodel our kitchen. Last November. We finalized the deal in Dec. The original salesperson did a great job of listening to what we wanted and then telling us how clean cut and honest and worthy his company was. He said it could be done in our price range and probably be done to 5-7 weeks. When construction started it was February 20. The salesperson no longer worked for the company but the contract was signed with a company not a person.
The lst day 3 guys were here to demolish. By the end of the first day my kitchen was completely gone except for the Fridge, which was moved to the living room. The condo was curtained off in the middle with a tarp that was stapled across the ceiling and down the walls. I had to use an electric griddle, fry pan, toaster and microwave for all cooking for the next 10 weeks. I also had to clean with the tub and bathroom sinks. The following Monday and Tuesday there were some concrete and electrical technicians here from 10am
to about 3 pm. The next two days someone popped in for an hour or two.
For two weeks no one showed up. We called the manager for our reno and he had one of the owners call us and say they would NOT
be here everyday. For the next 7 weeks some worker would show up for an hour, maybe 2 or WOW, 3 hours. The workers were very
polite and nice but did not speak a word of English and I don't speak Spanish so it was very hard to understand what they asked. They
seemed to be unable to read the blueprints and would often have to call someone to translate our conversations. Several cabinets
were installed wrong, broken, splintered, upside down. During this time we haad several conversations with the manager.
We have never heard so many excuses. We actually had to drive to their office and speak to them in person.
We had bought new kitchem appliances and had to reschedule their arrival 5 times.
During this entire time all the, cabinets, backsplash, sink, concrete mixes, elecricalsite garbage were left in the kitchen area
until we had to beg them to get these out.
Finally after 10 weeks my sink and stove were hooked up so I could cook and clean but no counter space. 2 weeks later the island and two
small counters were installed. The big counter that went around the sink was dropped and broken when they tried to lift it out of the
truck. We were informed it would be 6 weeks before we could get the replacement. My husband and I drove around to retail
stores and finally found one that had a big enough piece to fit but we would need to get money back from CMK to buy the new piece and
have it grounded to fit. We were in that process when they send us a note and said the piece they orderd and be here in 4 days. Then it
would take another week to have it customized, then the backsplash could be finished. As this was going on my other kitchen
appliances were hooked up, including the washer and dryer. I was using my washer for the first time after it was installed
and a part was disconnected under the sink for installation and NOT reconnected, so when the wash was done my husband went to
put the clothes in the dryer when our doorbell rang, our neighbor downstairs had water dripping from his ceiling lights.
We had to contact CMK to get a plumber over right away to fix our pipes and check the neighbors light fixture.
Needless to say all my new kitchen dreams were blown out the window and we had to settle with what we got.
However on a GOOD NOTE. the kitchen looks really spectacular. Everything was finally done and when CMK came to get their final
payment we paid them less than they expected because of everything that had occurred.
I will have to agree with the negative reviews that I now read about this company. We signed a contract to have a small guest bath remodeled back in April. They were to get all the materials together and store them in a shed that I have in my yard. The project was to star in June. It was the last week of June when they started. The first indication that this company had no communication with people on the job was when guys came by to pick up the trash left by the demo crew. The demo crew did not get here until the next day. The demo crew removed the drop ceiling in the bathroom an punched a hole in the wall to our den that was just textured and painted. That hole has not yet been repaired. From here it gets worse the electrician and plumber came did some wiring and installed bath tub and shower plumbing. We are now about the middle of June A guy comes in to start putting up some drywall and spends most of his time taking the tub out and changing it's position so the drywall and tile will line up. Next we have people coming for an hour or so to install the drywall and tile. This process takes over three weeks. They start installing the tile and since cmk did not mark the tile boxes (for floor and shower wall) they put the floor tile one shower wall. Instead of taking the tile off the wall we agree to use the same tile for floor and bath. There was not enough tile do this so the PM had to order more from Calif. This goes on and on and it is now Aug 16 and the work is not finished and the company does not respond to my calls
We had a kitchen remodel - floor to ceiling in our home. Paul came out for an estimate and our project manager was Anthony. We were hesitant to make the investment at that time but came back to Paul almost a year later. This time, we signed the contract. Throughout the process, Paul was professional, helpful, and accessible. We are not "visual" people and needed help throughout the process. Thank goodness they had a designer Natassa who knew what she was doing and could help guide us. We have other projects we eventually plan to complete in our home, and CMK is definitely the company we'll contact to get it done. It should be noted that this renovation was in the midst of the pandemic - we have two young children so we were quarantined upstairs ... with no kitchen... for three weeks! However, CMK and their team were respectful of our home and requests to wear masks and gloves at all times. They were incredibly safe, clean, and thorough the entire time. It was the most stressful few weeks for our family, but we are 100% happy with the quality of work, timeline, accommodations, suggestions, etc. Without hesitation, I would recommend CMK for any home improvement/upgrade/ remodel. I pride myself on doing my due diligence; this is your team for your job.
My experience with CMK Construction was stellar from beginning to the end. Paul was super prompt from the start. This is not usual in this market. After touring my home and discussing the project I had in mind he had a detailed multi-page proposal for me. The first bid I received from a contractor was literally an email that went something like, Kitchen: 35k, Bathroom: 20k, Not very assuring. Paul was very through and detailed which we appreciated.
Our project manager Anthony kept up with communication during the project. This was so useful when you are working on a multi-month job and always have a ton of little questions or concerns. I could easily just send a text and got a quick response, I loved that.
The workers are top-notch. My kitchen is beautiful and functional, and the bathroom looks amazing. All of the employees and contractors were exceptional as well.
Overall, I could not recommend CMK and their team more. It was an honor to work with these guys. THANK YOU,THANK YOU!

*** I needed to change my review from five stars, as it is now one year later and I'm having problems with the door that were installed
I needed to change my review from five stars, as it is now one year later and I'm having problems with the door that were installed by this company. In addition, my sister also used the them to remodel her bathrooms and they did a poor job of follow-up and she has yet to have her vanity mirror installed even though she is paying monthly installments. Also, the toilet-paper dispensers that they installed in both my sister's bathrooms are broken.
I used what I thought was a "professional" company because I didn't want the "drama" of a handy man and I wanted a "professional" job. Looking back a year, I don't really think any of the workers were professional experts at remodeling and the back door they installed, in which I paid almost $2000.00 for, is now overflowing into my interior room during heaving rains. Obviously the door was not properly sealed.
I called their office prior to this review and received no response--my sister has also called several times and no one calls back. It would have been better and I would have gotten off cheaper using my trusty handy man!
I'm leaving one star because I have to leave the for the rating to post.
10 weeks of ****
10 weeks of ***. Will never use this company again. So many issues to address. So I'll just list a few. After the first PM messed up so much the second PM had his hands full. Not only with the job itself but his boss (Dylan) made every decision so much tougher. Even to the point I had to hire my own drywall installer. Most all the plumbing was installed incorrectly. Double vanity was plumbed for a single vanity. CMK professionals installed the body jets (the experts) and ask me if I confirmed. I know nothing about them other then cosmetically they looked good. So trusting them of course I confirmed. Now that the job is finally finished after using it the jets don't work. Dylan's logic is because I confirmed the location CMK will not correct the issue. I even asked him as a second opinion if they would work where his PM placed them and he confirmed. So why would I not confirm them? So when you hear this company tell you the job isn't finished until your happy and satisfied just know that's BS! Honestly this job wouldn't have gotten where it is if the second PM didn't bust his *** and help me in so many ways even though his hands where tied in so many ways!

were installed wrong, broken, splintered, upside down.
Please go elsewhere if you want efficiency
