Morning news
I have been watching CNN from its infancy… that being said … watching Don Lemon in the morning has made me stop… his arrogance is so evident as well as his jealousy of Kaitlyn Collins is pushing me to Morning Joe… It’s very obvious that Poppy doesn’t challenge him in any way… he wants center stage…John Berman would be perfect .. and no obvious angst
Program changes
Chris Licht the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CNN Worldwide is horrible! He has totally screwed up CNN. He needs to be fired for the damage he has done. He has literally destroyed CNN.
I hate the new shows as well as the grouping of anchors on the shows. I hate the format of sitting at an elevated round table with 3 anchors as though you were at a diner or coffee shop! Horrible! Are we watching a news program or a damn talk show? The latter is more appropriate since Licht has taken over.
Don Lemon should immediately be returned to Don Lemon @ Night 10:00 PM
It's an insult, he has to team up with Kaitlan & Poppy! CNN This Morning is a total failure!
Kaitlan Collins should be returned to the "field" - great job there.
Chris Como should be re-hired! It was a mistake to fire him.
Brianna Keilar should be returned to her own show - teaming up does not work!
Reliable Sources w/ Brian Stelter should be brought back - a very good show - informative.
CNN Tonight should return to Don Lemon; the lawyer hosting the show - be gone. Bring her in when anchors take vacation, as before!
Because of these ridiculous changes, I have moved to FreeSpeech TV or online Democracy Now, where one gets diverse news and not the same stories all day long - just different anchors!
Desired outcome: FIRE Chris LichtComplete each request as presented in message above,
We have enjoyed CNN over the years. I find the latest programming unfortunate. Perhaps Don Lemon was a little over the top at times, but it was a good fit for late night programming. Moving him to the morning was a huge mistake. Erin Burnett is excellent on her show, but she is on all the time in the evening. I don't know--is CNN trying to emulate the View. I find the latest name calling of "misogynistic" and "chauvinistic" very disturbing. In defense of Don Lemon, I felt he was being thoughtful about the possibility of enacting cognitive testing for older adults. Perhaps he misspoke but no one is perfect when they are not reading a script. Let's allow a little discussion and stop the name calling. I also felt firing Chris Cuomo for trying to help out is brother was totally unnecessary and a bit heartless.
Don Lemon
An early morning news article on MSN reports that Don Lemon had a negative altercation with Kaitlin Collins. There have been quite a few occasions that I felt he was not respectful of his co-anchors and just complained to my immediate family, coworkers, friends, etc.
Most recently I watched him interrupt his coanchor regarding book banning in Florida. He was rude and he was so wrapped up in what he wanted to say that his behavior overshadowed the news he was trying to report. That day I started thinking on how to make a complaint and as usual I let it go.
His behaviors need to be addressed. I don't want to change who I watch but he's driving me crazy.
Desired outcome: Put him on an all man show.
Why all the negativity about Don Lemon and Abby Phillips? Where is the anger about the news isn't reporting necessary news for the people? Biden and Beccerra are not taking care of regular working , hourly rate men with prostate cancer. Biden refused to lower cost on this new drug which was developed with tax payer dollars. Only well to do men can get this drug and insurance companies do not provide. No other country on the level of the USA does this to their citizens. Regular American men are loved by their families as well as well to do and wealthy. Why discover drugs for the benefit of the wealthy ant not the poor men? All drug companies should not use tax dollars if not for the benefit of all Americans. News of such is more important than trying to get anyone fired. All the unfairness and lies at Fox and nobody calls on getting rid of them or making FTC take a look at their lies. The USA always favor money. Murdoch family was well known for their behavior; yet the USA let them have a news station because of their wealth.
Navalny documentary to be shown today
As often as CNN spends days upon days of announcing, advertising, hyping and saying "It will be on tonight, It will be on next" this is usually not the case in Thailand. I thought, just this once with the many thousands of Russian nationals living in Thailand and vacationing here to escape brutal Russia that CNN would have made a point of airing this program at least. Let it be known to whomever censors these programs coming into SE Asia that there are many Western English literate people living/working here and who make a point of tuning in for the programs constantly switched to a rerun of a stupid sports program as it is being shown now beginning at the end of an interview with the director of the Navalny documentary which again was said to be "next" but was not!
Desired outcome: Do not censor news documentaries in SE Asia any more or at least do us the honor of stating that they are being censored so that people with busy lives don't waste time on you.
Reporting
To; Mrs Jill Douherty
You wrote in a recent article on Putin’s blame game avoidance, “... signals have been geolocated to hone in on and kill...”
Jill! There is no such thing as “hone in”. I know that this use has been creeping into current usage, but it is WRONG. The word hone means to sharpen an edged device, such as a knife, ax, etc., or to sharpen a concept or idea. The proper term is “home in” which means to direct aim onto a target. To direct the course of a projectile. In short, no one can ‘hone in’ on anything
To paraphrase Confucius: ‘If the language is not correct, then what is written is not what is meant; if what is written is not what is meant, then what ought to be done remains undone…’
The correct use of language is fundamental to communication, and the journalist’s task is communication; you must be careful in the use of language in order to communicate effectively. A casual approach to the use of language leads to confusion and misinformation.
You have so much experience in the field, but my take is from the education side and this particular foible speaks to me of a casual use of language, a bowing to fad and street language that tends to damage the integrity of the journalist's work.

The use of words that are not applicable. Specifically "hung" and "amount".
When you have reported that 2 individuals were "hung" you should have used the word "hanged." Also I have heard you use the word "amount" when "number" should have been used. You could check out the words "eager" and "anxious.
The man was hanged.
The hat was hung on the hook.
The number of people who attended the party was disappointing.
The amount of sugar in the recipe was surprising.
Before his operation he was anxious.
He was eager to receive his bonus.
Happy New Year.

Reporter Manu Raju
Hello,
As much as I used to enjoy the reporting of Manu Raju, he’s taken a page out of Caitlin Collins' book and has learnt to repeat himself, using slightly different language, but still repeating the message, so that he maximizes his “air time”. It’s exhausting listening to him so now I simply mute his reporting – as I used to do with Caitlin Collins. (I now enjoy Caitlin as part of the morning team)
Please advise him that I’m not alone in my opinion and that he needs simply to be succinct, factual and non-repetitive. He will stand on his own merit.
Thank you for your serious consideration of this request. By the way, I'm not on social media.

Desired outcome: That Manu realizes he can be "seen" without having to repeat himself.
CNN New Years Eve Live Cooper & Cohen
Once again a disgraceful display for a news network. KEVIN HART on New Years Eve show saying “[censored]” live on air! What is wrong with you people ? No delay? Family and children in the room!
Andy Cohen obsessed with drinking and criticizing CNN policy on air is wrong ! Millions of people welcome the new year WITHOUT ALCOHOL!
Sounds as if they would be happier in the Florida Keys tonight then live on air!
Desired outcome: On AIR APOLOGIES to your audience for the Kevin Harr obscenity
App Android
Hi - since the last system update on my Samsung s21 5g, the app from CNN does not function anymore. Reinstallation does not solve the problem. I continue to receive push messages but cannot open app. Probably, many users are hit by this problem. Please investigate your views before and after this system update. Thanks in advance, Kristo van Holsbeeck
Removal of Live News from HLN
HLN had a good news program, fairly free of opinion and it has been replaced with CNN which has an overabundance of opinions that I don't care to hear. I hope you bring back the crew that was on HLN and reformat CNN into a proper news station. It appears that management at CNN seems determined to kill what was a decent network after killing the great morning news show that was on HLN.
Desired outcome: Please bring back HLN morning news show.
Morning news anchors
CNN has made a huge mistake by changing their morning format and taking John Berman and Brianna Keilar off the air. The new show lacks the serious news character of New Day but fails to live up to the lively MSNBC competition, landing squarely in the bland morning pablum category. Don Lemon's normally insightful commentary is much better suited to an evening show and doesn't mix well with his co-hosts' more newsy demeanor.
I miss Briana Kielar's incredible interviews. She was incisive, dogged, and eloquent. And not having John Berman's reporting and clear-eyed analysis to start my day is a loss. People who have things to do in the morning need to get the headlines with some meat on them and get moving on their day. We can get the fluff, human interest, and banter after work or on any other regular channel, not the news network.
Please bring back your best morning anchors!
Desired outcome: Please bring back your best morning anchors!
I agree! Why fix what’s not broken. I wasn’t watching the morning show with Don Lemmon and after his “Past her prime” Nickey Hailey comment I can’t even look at him.
Time to send Don out to pasture or laten night when everyone is sleeping.

Desired outcome: Response and hopeful lineup changesWithout Don Lemons on CNN This Morning for 2023.
Pamela Brown tends to allow guests to speak over her and not answer questions. Is there any reason you don’t give Brianna Keiler a show? She does a good job of holding guests to answer the questions.
HLN
WHY WHY was HLN with Robin Meade taken off the air? Can someone explain to me why?
My wife and I started each day having our breakfast watching HLN for years. It has been an important part of our day. It was how we stay in touch with the world, and we are at a loss without it. We live in rural Michigan, and I am 79 years old. I don't have a lot to look forward to. Now our mornings have been taken away from us. WHY?
Can someone explain it to us.

Max Foster
By lending CNN's credibility to Netflix's Harry and Meghan sob story, Max Foster is tarnising the reputation of the network and all his colleagues, especially those working close to him such as Bianca. Stop being Oprah, try to get back to a modicum of objectivity. At the very least he should stop discussing anything relating to the Royal Family which he obviously wants to eliminate.
New Day/ CNN This Morning & Program changes
Please return Berman and Kielar to their anchor positions on New Day and replace Chris Licht and all his changes that are not helpful and go another direction.
Berman and Kielar were good at their anchor jobs and good together. Maybe 2 hours of New Day instead of 3? but overall they are far superior to the program that has replaced it (which I refuse to watch).
Now I cannot even find where Kielar can be found on CNN.
This channel does need some changes but, in my opinion, Chris Licht is moving in the wrong direction for authoritative, trustworthy, interesting, factual news and interviews by intelligent, thoughtful anchors.
Desired outcome: Bring back Berman and Kielar and New Day (or call it something else) and get rid of the show that replaced it. Change direction from Chris Licht.
I agree!
Morning Express with Robin Meade
I am so saddened that you decided to take the Morning Express with Robin Meade off the air. This has been the show that I wake up to everyday for approximately a decade. I love the variety of topics that they share and the blend of personalities with Robin, Bob and crew. This show has always given me a positive start to my day! And trust me, as much as I love CNN, and I do….politics is NOT the way I want to start the day. So unfortunately, I will take HLN off my favorites.
Desired outcome: Would love to see Morning Express with Robin Meade return
John Bolton interview 12/6/22
John Bolton chastises Republicans for not calling out Trump for his treasonous views, but he wouldn't testify during the Senate impeachment hearings. Meanwhile, he has no problem writing a book and talking with the media. Why don't you tell the whole story when interviewing such a hypocritical, self-serving guest? And he's going to graciously throw his hat into the ring to save our country? Call him out. Don't let him get away with it and use your network as his own little pulpit.
HLN
I quit watching all news programs on CNN and MSNBC 5 years ago. Then I discovered Robin Meade what a great show. It didn't have all the political nonsense like the other news show. They had a great team now they are all unemployed including all the people behind the scenes.
Why don't you cancel the rest of the CNN programs, as their ratings have dropped just as much, if not more than the Morning Show. It will be interesting to see how much more CNN will drop without this show as it will not force me to tune into CNN in the morning. I'll probably tune into GMA.
I have been a loyal cnn viewer for the last 20+ years. When the new "regime" took over it has gone from the best station on television to quickly being the most "hated" station on television. Robin meades show was the backbone of that station and all the stations changes will do nothing but further divide this country. Don't you "executives" (so called) see that you are not helping the country by taking away what it wants and needs for civility? all the decisions made at your station by your executives when the new management team came in to cut staff will close that station down and has possibly already shown a loss of viewers. I my self also will be lost (not to the other right wing media stations but to any media .) this is a huge injustice to the american people and should be rethought. We are trying to recover from the last administrations damage to our democracy and now the stab in the back by cnn execs to the american people. How much did mr. Licht and cnn gain by thie assinine move? thats the real question.
Reparations 12/5/22
Pertaining to your piece on "Reparations for Slavery", just as important are reparations for Native Americans for land taken from them; Japanese Americans who were incarcerated during WWII; Chinese who were basically enslaved to help build the railroads and…
Is there any ethnic or religious group that has not been vilified, persecuted and discriminated against to the point where they lost everything (in some cases, even their lives)? Who gets reimbursed and how much? Who does the reimbursing?
CNN one sided news
For years CNN supports investigations and impeachments against Trump, in light of Twitter exposing the truth when does CNN take up the banner for truth.Because you been on the wrong side of it for some time, how does CNN fall from grace. Repeating the lie of Democrats, Not once but twice, but watch any boards cast on CNN your never ending war against Jan 6 is on display. Why did those people act out, if CNN, FBI, White House, Twitter and Democratic leadership told tall tales to gain favor in an election, what exactly is that?
If anything could be found on Trump or republicans you would be all over it. CNN needs to tell the news, in fair and impartial way, give people some credit, but instead you shape stories to fit a narrative, but you been on the side of you own BIG LIE. The worst part of it, you will not admit it. Not kidding if you are CEO, watch your news, Jan 6 ominimportant, Democrat failures barley reported. WHY?
Desired outcome: CNN needs to clean up its act and use same vigor to investigate democrats. Ask the tough questions, get Biden to respond to the worse economy in memory, in other words do your job as a news organization, and be fair and balance.
