I just ordered a Gaggia Classic coffee machine from the website coffeeitalia.co.uk. When I received the order, I followed the instructions for setup and found that the pump would not prime. However, when the machine arrived, it had a European plug which meant that I could not use it. The company did send me a travel adapter, but this is not what was stated on their website and it was not a suitable solution.

I bought a Gaggia Brera from Coffee Italia on October 23rd, 2020. It arrived six days later, but unfortunately, it was faulty. When I called to request a replacement, the man who answered the phone was rude and unhelpful, telling me to send an email instead. So I did, along with a video showing the problem.
Their response shocked me - they told me to take the machine apart and fix it myself! They even attached a video to show me how. I didn't feel comfortable with this, so I called Gaggia UK who advised me not to touch it as it would void my warranty. They were very pleasant and helpful.
I asked Coffee Italia for a refund because their advice was so terrible that I began to feel uneasy about the whole transaction. Also, the advice to fix a brand-new machine myself was unacceptable. They finally agreed to take it back, but told me I had to wait for a report before they would issue a refund. When they said they had fixed it and wanted to send it back, I refused the offer and demanded my money back. It took a lot of persistence, but I eventually contacted Amazon Pay (my payment method) who resolved the matter quickly.
To my surprise, Coffee Italia only refunded part of my money and kept the rest to cover the cost of repairing the machine. I had to contact Amazon Pay once again to get the other part of my refund. The whole process was incredibly stressful and ruined the joy of buying a new coffee machine. I ended up going back to my old pod machine.

The La Pavoni Europiccola Coffee Machine and Rancilio Rocky Grinder were two products I had my eye on for a while. When I found out that Cafe Italia had the best price for these items, I knew I had to order from them.
I was a little worried when I read some negative reviews online, but I decided to take the plunge anyways. Thankfully, my call to the UK number put my mind at ease. Marco, who answered the phone, told me that the machines would come with UK plug adaptors and would be shipped from Italy.
When I received my FedEx notification with a tracking number, I eagerly awaited the arrival of my machines. They arrived exactly seven days after I ordered them, just like Marco had promised.
Unfortunately, when I received my order, I noticed a few issues. But this is where Cafe Italia's incredible customer service came in. Both Marco and Matteo were quick to respond to my inquiries and both were incredibly polite and helpful.
Even with a couple of bumps along the road, I now have a great rapport with Marco. He even threw in a bag of coffee beans and a beautiful wood tamper for free!
My grinder's bean hopper was broken during transit, but Marco arranged for a replacement to be delivered quickly and it was easy to install. I also had an issue with the coffee machine not reaching temperature and it let off steam constantly. Matteo quickly resolved this issue by explaining that it was simply caused by manufacturing dust in the pressure release valve. I sent an email at 9.45pm and received a response from Matteo 10 minutes later explaining what the problem was and how to resolve it. That's great service in my opinion! I've even received responses from them during the day and late into the evening. It seems like they never stop working!
One thing I did find confusing was that the UK address on their website is actually for A E Stanton, a service centre they use. Additionally, the website could have been a little clearer. But, personally, these things didn't bother me too much. I can easily fit a UK plug to the machines if I need to.
Overall, I just want to say a big thank you to Marco and Matteo. They have been friendly, polite, and resolved my issues quickly. I got the machines at a great price and the free coffee and tamper were a fantastic surprise. If you're looking for great products and excellent customer service, I would definitely recommend Cafe Italia!

I had a not so good experience with Coffee Italia. When it comes to coffee machines, this vendor might be okay if you get a good one. Sadly, I was not one of the fortunate ones. I bought two Quickmill Cassiopea machines within the last 4 months, and both turned out to be faulty. I am now without a functioning machine, and I still have not received my refund from at Coffee Italia.
