Counter/sink installation
Initially we were happy with our quartz counter installation that was completed in September 2020 however, imagine our shock and horror when our mounted sink completely collapsed while washing a few dishes in April 2023. We contacted Colonial and spoke with Charles H. who told us we would need to pay $250 to have someone come out to even [censored] the situation. Ive never saw a sink completely bottom out after 3 years or normal usage and when mentioned, we were told “we don’t know what you could have done to make the sink collapse”…right, like I was jumping double Dutch in my kitchen sink *eye roll*. We got another licensed contractor to come out to check on the situation and he found that not only was the sink improperly cut and mounted but it was being holstered up with a piece of flimsy wood. I sent a follow up email to Charles H. Requesting information to contact their corporate office and never heard back.
Colonial Marble and Granite
They rescheduled 5 times. Each time I missed work and missed pay. They finally got here and broke the switch to the garbage disposal. They told me it was the garbage disposal, so we bought a new garbage disposal. $320. We had the maintenance crew in our condo come up to install the garbage disposal. $100. The discovered the Colonial Garbage and Tile broke the switch to the garbage disposal, so we didn't need the $320 unit we just purchased, but we need an electrician ($200-$300) and a replacement switch for the electrician to install. Each day of work I missed was 12 hour shift at $150/hour (I am an ER doctor who works shifts). Colonial Garbage said they won't reimburse me for missed work.
Desired outcome: They should pay for the new disposal, the maintenance crew, the electrician, and at least. half of what I lost on just ONE shift, since I missed work FIVE TIMES because they kept being too incompetent to schedule their own people.
Failure to perform per contract
Remember what John Ruskin wrote:
There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey.
Don’t fail to bypass Colonial Marble and Granite which, from my experience, is the worst fabricator I have ever dealt with. On February 25, I entered a contract to install new tops on my kitchen counters and center Island. They promised to complete the installation on March 10, 2022. On the day of the installation the materials I had ordered were improperly fabricated. The full bullnosed edge I had ordered was an eased edge, so I rejected the product. While the work men were waiting, I called Colonial five times but was sent to voice mail each time. In frustration I threw the workmen out. When I finally got through to Colonial and spoke to the General Manager who transferred me to Wendy in customer service. She assured me that the edges would conform to the contract when the installers returned on 3/15/2022.
When the installers arrived the edges of the tops were still not right, but my wife and I decided to accept them anyway despite the errors. Some of the backsplashes that we naively assumed would accompany our order were missing and one cabinet top was completely wrong. The installers completed what they could and then left without installing the required back splashes.
I wrote them regarding the remaining problems on 3/18/2022 but have yet to get an acknowledgement. I also called them using the sales line on 3/21/2022 and voiced my concerns as well. They were given an ultimatum to complete the work by the 25th or they would be fired.
It is apparent that Colonial Mable and Granite takes special care in ignoring their clientele. In the same way, the general public should avoid this awful and shameless organization that is clearly disinterested in performing reliable services.
Desired outcome: Complete the work by the 25th without further charges

Installation of undermount sink
In 2011, we purchased granite countertop, an undermount sink, and a backsplash directly from Colonial. 4 years later, the clips that hold the undermount sink and the adhesive failed. This was under normal household use. The sink simply fell away from the granite late one night out of the blue. A call to Colonial informed us that there was only a one year...

Last year in 2014 we did our kitchen cabinets with Woodmark and the counter top with Colonial Marble and Granite. The counter top from Colonial M & G came to measure within a week. The installers came to put the counter top in but the sink made of the same material was missing and there were no drain cuts just like the store model in Home Depot, Lakewood, NJ 08701 and had to take back to do so. When the installers came back everything looked great. We decided to do the same material for the backsplash (2015) this year with the same material and ordered it from Cliff from Home Depot in Lakewood since that day was the last day of the sale with special financing, Invoice #8971522 for $2, 585.00 with the Home Depot Charge. No one called from Colonial stone to measure the first week. When no one called the second week we went back to Home Depot to try to find out why. The third week we again went back to Cliff and wondered why. He always called Colonial with no explanation. Cliff called again. Barbara from Colonial M&S called my wife and told her that the stone, since we waited a year, would not match and I wouldn't like it because it wasn't from the same batch. She also said the backsplash would be too heavy for the wall. Why could it be installed with the counter but not now? Barbara also said to come to King of Prussia to pick out a tile or something else in black or another color to see what they have. Is Colonial M&S the only place you deal with? She also said when the order came in she thought it was a mistake. Why not call us to check? Professional Courtesy? I wasted three weeks and not happy and have to go elsewhere (New Jersey). Why did it take so long for a reply and for that matter why take an order if you can't do it? We were always please with Home Depot. There was one SPECIAL Home Depot store in north Jersey that was unique but you closed. Sincerely Frank and Catherine Sudal
Horrible customer service
Good price, excellent quality product, horrible customer service and installation planning. Dont use them, you will regret it!
