In 2011, we purchased granite countertop, an undermount sink, and a backsplash directly from Colonial. 4 years later, the clips that hold the undermount sink and the adhesive failed. This was under normal household use. The sink simply fell away from the granite late one night out of the blue. A call to Colonial informed us that there was only a one year warranty on their work, and we would be charged $175 for them to repair this defect in workmanship. After FOUR YEARS? Our sink in unusable, and while it's supposed to be fixed tonight (after pleading for them to send someone today instead of days from now) we will have to see. The repair will only be good for another year as well. I would never recommend them; low prices = poor workmanship! Hopefully the sink will be repaired and not fail again; but there should be NO CHARGE for customers who spend thousands of dollars with them and suffer with obvious defective workmanship.

I had a similar problem in January 2022 with the double stainless steel sink all but collapsing into the cabinet below after the failure of the epoxy holding the granite clips to the sink against the underside of the countertop. My original installation was in late 2010 with Colonial Marble and Granite. I spoke to a representative after the sink failure who explained that their warranty on installations is only one year. I explained that the original installation was a failure waiting to happen and that others had complained online. I asked if they would prefer that I join the chorus of people who were complaining about failed sink installations. They sent a team out two days later and reinforced the sink in 30 minutes AT NO CHARGE. The repair was brilliant for its simplicity. They used three short vertical pieces of 2"x4" wood screwed into the walls of the cabinet beneath the sink. The screws were angled up such that the sink was pulled tighter against the countertop as the screws were tightened. Better than the original installation! I asked Colonial after the fact if they wanted the positive publicity of my story (even though it is well beyond their limited one-year warranty. The representative encouraged me to do so. I will post this note on Colonial's Facebook page too.
