I got my car fixed by Come to You Auto Repair on Nov 15, 2020 in Erlanger, KY. They said they would charge me their normal shop rate plus parts and that I could pay with my credit card. They fixed a coolant hose with sealant and a hose clamp and charged me $910, which I thought was too much. They said their credit card reader wasn't working and I had to pay cash. I managed to get $800 from an ATM and paid them. They promised to send me an invoice, but I never got one. I called them 6 times to ask for it, but they never called me back or sent me an invoice. When I got the patch replaced with a permanent repair, I found out that some screws and fasteners were missing. I think they overcharged me and don't want to give me an invoice because they're embarrassed or hiding cash from the IRS.

I had car trouble on my way to Cleveland, OH on 12/23. The engine was overheating and anti-freeze was leaking out. I stopped at a gas station and was recommended to call Come To You Auto Repair (CTYAR). Two technicians came out and said the water pump and thermostat needed to be replaced for $500-$600. But when I talked to the dispatcher, the price went up to $800. They worked on the car until early morning and I had to get a hotel room. The work finished around noon and I paid $800 cash. Within an hour, the same problem happened again. I called CTYAR and a technician arrived at 10:30 PM. He said the first guys installed an inferior thermostat and there was a defective exhaust camshaft solenoid. I had two options: leave the car or drive it and stop every 75-90 miles to put fluids in the anti-freeze reservoir. I chose the latter. After the holiday, I got the car to a mechanic and found out the radiator was clogged and the wiring for the solenoid was disconnected. I spent $1,190 (including hotel) and want half refunded - $595.
