I paid $261.40 for two tests at South Austin Auto Repair but got no results
I paid $261.40 for two tests at South Austin Auto Repair but got no results. They did a Charging/ Starting System Test and a Fuel *** Test, but didn't give me any documentation even after I asked multiple times. They only gave me a receipt, which didn't have any test results. I wanted to know if my alternator was working correctly, but the comments section of my receipt just said "Alternator May be bad check and advise". So, the test didn't answer my question. They also did a fuel pump test without my agreement, and I didn't get any documentation for that either. They quoted me $70, but when I got to the shop, they charged me $190 more. I think if they can't give test results, they shouldn't charge for the test. I want a refund or to pay the originally agreed upon $70 fee.

I went to South Austin Auto Repair twice for my car troubles. The first time, I explained the issue and they said they needed to do an assessment. After the assessment, they told me what they thought the problem was and how much it would cost to fix. But when I checked after they completed the work, the problem was still there. I paid the bill anyway, thinking it was fixed. The second time I went, I explained the problem again and they said they needed to do another assessment. They told me what they thought the problem was and how much it would cost to fix. But when I checked again, they said it was a different problem and gave me an outrageous price to fix it. I told them they should have told me at the beginning that it was a different problem. I refused to pay more money for something they said would solve the problem the first time. They said they wouldn't do any more work until I paid them for the first repair. Now they won't give me my car back, even though it's still broken from when I brought it in. This is bad business and doesn't make any sense.
