This company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. When i couldn't contact the company by phone on saturday or sunday as they only operate monday to friday i sent them three emails on their 'contact us' address informing them that i did not want their 12 month subscription attached to the 'free' trial. But after finally getting through to them i have been told my three day cooling off period finished yesterday and as they have no communication from me they couldn't cancel the order. The money has come out of my account before the three day cooling off period finished and now i'm being told that i can't get a refund! I have copies of my emails date and time sent but apparently this isn't COMMUNICATION?

Hi fly4work,

Forgot to let you know that you can call the number on the back of your debit card and get the card blocked/cancelled so no more payments are taken from it, and the bank will send you a new card with a new 16 digit number on it, if you can do without it for a few days, that can be done today.

I obviously did'nt read it properly as l was unaware of the charges but l have never received any emails from them. I have just checked to make sure including my spam box but have nothing ! Will do as you suggested though and have my card cancelled. l thought it was strange at the time that l wasn't emailed and was worried but now my worst fears are confirmed ! Very depressed and skint,

It say free trial with additional substription, Its very important to cancel the substription, do this with a email or write a letter and keep copy's of everything just in case.

I purchased an Acai get slim package on 28/01/2011 for what I believed was going to be $7.19 (that is what my invoice stated). I had a total of $59.34 debited from my credit card. I have not received my goods and cannot get any answers. The email address attached to my invoice to contact the business does not work, emails bounce back to me.

I have the same problem. Have now had my credit card blocked from the energy shop am in process with bank to get back 2 payments of $99.95 which were deducted and have never received goods. Can't get in contact with them have tried everything. It is a fraud. Absolute scam! I am disgusted and really upset. Will never ever do this again. Good ole pay pal!

i can give you the phone number that i called. It was [protected] and after a week i finally got a response to emails i will give that too you too it was support@getslimpackage.com. It took them over a week as i said to get back to me. I found ringing them more productive. It took about a week to get my money back but i did get it back. Good luck to you all. I did bring it to there attention too that in their term and conditions it didn't say that the money will be taken out straight away only after the evaulation period. I think if we get in touch with them straight away our money is return.

By the way the product hasn't arrived here as they said it would so therefore they have scammed me out of the postage plus the cancellation fee but i am just happy to get the 200 dollars they tried to get off me. Good luck

i too have been scamed ordered 2 lots of tablets billed for £8.08 noticed they had taken 2 £65.00 out of bank within a day of purchase bank cancelled card but said they could apply to visa and still get payment (another payment of 2 £65 due after 30 days) so really pissed off been onto ecc.net site for transactions on over seas payments but saya not a lot they can do going back to bank but there saying you should have read conditions no help there then just stuck at the moment gonna put complaint in to the insolvencey site seen above feel as if no one can halp

UDATE TO MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE 23 days ago. Just to recap - I ordered from getslimpackage two different lots of Acaia pills on December 13 and received them shortly thereafter I received the first lot ( 2 boxes). Then on my December bank statement I was charged A$101.56 for EACH box by BETTER HEALTH. Then my January statement showed I had been charged A$101.40 TWICE by ENERGY SHOP! I still have NOT received the product for January! Fearing I may be continually charged I contacted my bank and lodged a DISPUTE CLAIM only for the last two amounts. Why not the first lot? Because I had not seen the Terms and Conditions in the first place and I chose to bear the first costs. However, I've looked up the terms and conditions since, which I finally found in very small white print on black background only to discover that the charges were in GREAT BRITAIN POUNDS (GBP 69).

The main problem is that none of us who have complained, most probably have not been advised of the cost in their local currency let alone not having the costs DISPLAYED ON INVOICES SENT - ONLY THE POSTAL COSTS - (NOT GOOD ENOUGH MATE!) This company must realise that this is a misleading practice and cannot be tolerated any longer. Technically they are probably within the legal requirements if you read their Terms and Conditions BUT the main problem is the relevant costs are NOT DISCLOSED UPFRONT IN EVERYONE'S LOCAL CURRENCY, WHERE WE CAN CLEARLY SEE THEM.

HOWEVER FOLKS, I HAVE GOOD NEWS! Since I called Wally at Better Health USA on [protected], who said he would cancel my subscription, BETTER HEALTH HAVE NOT CHARGED ME ANY FURTHER FOR THE PRODUCT according to my February 2011 statement. to lovefist II i did read the term and conditions before i ordered the product. But as i have said before in the term and conditions it stated that after the 3 day evaluation period you will be charged not beforehand. Please be considerate of the people here as we have had our hard earned money stolen from us, but in my case i got it back. Did you try this product or this free trial? Did you have money taken out of your account before the 3 day evaluation period expired? Yes ok some don't read the term and conditions but they don't need to be attacked just because we commented on this topic

lovefistII no matter if they read the term and conditions it doesn't give anyone the right to make us feel like we are idiots, we feel that way already for getting scammed. For me it was the first time i let my guard down regarding anything like this but no matter what we should be here to help out those that have been scammed. We are here to share out stories and as i said to help those who need it. My mother always told me if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. I am just asking for you not to attack people on here and instead if you have something helpful to say say it. It is all anyone is asking for

Ask me if I have read it, the answer is "NOPE" don't intend to, will not, and find it BORING TO READ, but saying that, got the money back, the bank clawed it back from this scamming company.

So call your bank, cancel/block and cut up your card, get a new card, and ask your bank to chargeback.

Jayne, there is something we can call do, if you have paid with a visa card, call the bank and block/cancel and order a new card, you would have agreed to a subscription, so they will take the small amount first, then two larger payments will be taken, contact the bank with the phone number on the back of card, tell them what happened, they will send you a disclaimer form to send back together with all copys of emails received and sent showing date/time stamp and details, but they may just claw it back anyway, do this or you will lose your money, have you read the terms and conditions, the phone number is above, and write to them and cancel subscription.

And Ok, I lied, yes I have read the terms & conditions, still boring to read, but got the money back for my 84 year old mother on a pension poor dear.

So if your new here and reading this, your looking for ways to get your money back, its in the Terms, so don't leave it too long, cancel now!

I ordered a free trial sample of Acai berry & detox for myself & my daughter.I received confirmation of the charges which in total were £12.93.Within minutes of my order being accepted, my credit card co. telephoned me to advise me that 4 amounts of £64.56 were charged to my account.As it was saturday and i stated that i had no idea what these charges were for, i was given a tel.no.for retail disputes but could not contact them until monday.I cancelled the orders with Youth Nutrition following the link on my order confirmation.I had no reply to any of my emails. My credit card co have said that they can prevent any further payments going out to youth nutrition but cannot refund the money already taken so what was the point in phoning me in the first place?
I read the terms and conditions and they clearly stated that i would TODAY only be charged for the trial samples and after my evaluation period, would then be charged $99.95(x4) Clearly there was no such evaluation period as all the amounts were taken on the same day.A total of £271.17 has been charged to my account and i still have had no response from my emails or have been able to get through to anybody on any of the contact telephone nos.
I am disgusted that having spoken to my credit companies retail dispute team, i am told that they are dealing with hundreds of complaints regarding payments taken from youth nutrition so why the hell are they still authorising them?

I sent for the Acai pills and the Colon Cleanse pills guess what it cost me £130 my bank has been brilliant and I have getting half of it back ( better than Nothing) I eventually got to speak to some one, (T) [protected] bought mine through get slim package, the person I spoke to just kept reminding me about the 3 day termination, I told him was fine if you can get to speak to someone or even e-mail as they kept getting returned, I might aswell have been talking to the wall as they wouldnt budge to giving me the rest of my money. So in no uncertain terms I told him what I thought of his company and hoped he got great pleasure to work for someone that ripped off people.

He's treating & thinks you are a ###, he say that to most, take no notice of this infidel, he has frown his dummy out of the pram, now he will go away and sulk.

Write and cancel your subcriptions now, go back to you bank get then to cancel/block your card & send new replacement card, what payment were authorized will only go through one at a time, tell them what has happened, number on back of your card, they will send you back a disclaimer form, sign and send back with all emails to & from them, bank should chargebank all money lost, case close.

regarding payments taken from youth nutrition so why the hell are they still authorising them?

The bank is only following your instructions, and has to, unless you sign a disclaimer, that is the law.

Last week I found the Acai Get slim package, and thought hey why not. Might as well give it a shot, it's cheap, wont harm to try. Got the pills, started taking them, was charged £2.96. Just checked my online banking and have been charged a further £70, and I am completely f*cking outraged. I am seriously fuming. It's late at night so I can't get hold of the bank to cancel my card and don't know what to do. I am so angry it's unreal. Does anyone know if it's possible to get money back or anything? I know probably not but it's worth a shot. I feel like such a fool. Anyone have any news please email me, bamberno9@aol.com

Hi Amber,

Without having to explaine how to get your money back as I have done previously, your on the right track, cancel card, look at my previour posts that will give a guide on what to do, cancel subcription with then as soon as possible, they will take another payment soon.

Um, sorry about that nonsense "kkk" comment, I was just testing if I can reply or post comment without log in. Somehow it turned up there.
I was seriously convinced when I read through the website and really wanna give a try, I was one click away from making my payment, then I found this site. The complaints here shocked me.
Most complaints I saw above are concerntrated on the large amount additional charges, which the company would not notify the consumer. Also, it appears that this company's customer service is really hard to reach. Please do correct me if I got the situation wrong.
However, I only saw one comment related to the actual product, it was a person claim that he/she lost 300 pounds with the package. So how about the product itself? Does it actually work?

HOW TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER WITHIN THE TRIAL PERIOD

You cancelled your card, but let them know what happened and ask if they can chargeback, they will send you disclaimer to sign to return with all emails etc to and from them with date/timestamp, you should get your money back.

If the online Colon is not for you, simply call us to cancel at [protected] and you will not incur any further charges. You will only be responsible to pay the $6.95 USD for the trial period, and you can keep the 2 bottles of Colon weight loss supplement.

But I would cancel in writing, or email or phone them with order number.

i too have been scammed, luckily my cc company phoned me before autherising the transacion, was suppose to be 2.95 but they tried to take 127.87. i found it on msn so i'm gonna write to them and warn them of it.

They will take two payments plus the smaller sum, to stop them cancel and get a new card, get the bank to charge back, cancel your subscription with them, be warned!

You are not the only one caught Patricia, there is a lot!, but saying that, you should get your money back, but don't forget to cancel the subscription that you may not be aware of, as they will charge you monthly!

Hi, when I realised that this company had scammed me for £65.00, I thought I was the only person. My teenager told me 'you should always read the terms and conditions' and for me to enter 'Get Slim Package scam' into the search bar. Boy was I shocked, how the hell do these people get away with this. Credit Card companies don't help, mine told me - even if I cancel my credit card this wouldn't stop this company applying for payments. So I called [protected] played heck with this customer service advisor and told her I thought I was only paying shipping charges for the free Acai Capsules, but she kept on repeating over and over ' that I was not paying for the product, I was paying for the Digital/ Diet Tracker plan and the charges/cancellation period (3 days) are stated in the terms and conditions' I think she was on auto pilot. When I told her I wanted to complain and who to write to, she said I would have to email legal@getslimpackage.com - emailed them several times, still waiting for a reply.

I got in touch with my 'credit card dispute payments department' and they advised me that they couldn't do anything about the payment already taken but if Better Health (ENERGY SHOP) were to apply for another payment that I should get back in touch with them and then they will dispute the payment. What a load of crap, I've been with this bank for nearly 14 years.

After reading most of the complaints here, I just rang Better Health again. Got through to 'Randy' I told her that I wasn't happy with the whole scam and to confirm that my ' Get Slim Package' had been cancelled. Randy advised me that they don't send confirmation emails but she can give me a cancellation code. So I took the cancellation code and' she' advised me that it has been cancelled and there would be no further charges made. telephone [protected] from uk)

This will do for me, though it's not quite 30 days since the first payment was taken so I might be back here again.

I can't believe that at the ripe old age of 41 I could be scammed like this. Hope you guys have better luck and get your money back. I totally understand how you must be feeling, I feel 51 right now.
