Yearly magazine
I ordered the latest edition of Cook's Country, I always compares it with the recent tv recipes, nothing matched so I looked at the publishing date it was copyrighted 2019. I don't want to have to buy another edition when I received the 2019 which is at least 3 yeas old and which is obviously not what I wanted.
Thank you

Paid but continue to get PAST DUE notices
I paid for my renewal subscription months ago. The check cleared long ago.
Yet, they continue to send notices and now they are marked PAST DUE. I sent them a letter 6 weeks ago explaining that I ALREADY PAID and THEY ALREADY CASHED MY CHECK. How much time am I to waste with their poor bookkeeping? What's next?
To make things worse, I submitted my payment with a bonus offer that would give an additional subscription to a friend. I added her information and let her know she would receive a years worth of Cooks Country.
Instead, I get PAST DUE notices.
Desired outcome: provide my subscription plus some for trouble you cause me.
magazine
I ordered their magazine a couple years ago. Then last year I got an invoice for 19.95. It said I was on some kind of
automatic renewal program? I paid it, but thinking that was kind of weird. Now this year I got the same invoice for
29.95, ten dollars more.Yet if I take the card out of the magazine and send it in it, s only 24.95.What is going on with these
people? There is no mention of an automatic renewal. What kind of extortion is this? Is it mail fraud ?

magazine subscription
I purchased a one-year subscription in 2016 or 2017 and paid by check (purposely so that there would be no question about whether I had ordered a perpetual subscription). The magazine wasn't what I expected, and I didn't intend to renew.
After my one year was up, they started to send me invoices for the following year. I wrote them twice: once to tell them that I was not renewing and another time to tell them to quit sending statements saying "Your account is past due" on the envelope. For the last several months, I have handwritten on the envelopes, "Return to sender." Yet every month that invoice comes.
They must be desperate for subscriptions to behave in this manner!
I am sure that I am not the only customer being scammed by this company
Years ago (maybe 8-10) I ordered the Cooks Illustrated. I even purchased some of their books through this subscription. Once they had my credit card number, they were resubscribing me with their magazine & even their book series. I complained to them that they they were unauthorized to use my credit card number for their income. I then asked them to stop my subscriptions.
I have been buying Cooks Country Magazine (I assume this is part of the same company), I decided to send for a subscription with a check so I would not run into this problem again.
When I received a notice that it was time to renew my subscription, I did not respond. I decided I did not want to renew. But, today I received a bill from my credit card company with a charge from BPC*Cooks Country magazine for $24.95. It seems they used the credit card that they had on file from years ago and took the liberty to renew my subscription without my authority!. It seems you cannot stop them from forcing you to keep subscribing to their magazines & etc.
I am sure that I am not the only customer being scammed by this company, Can you stop this abuse?
