Coral Sands Resort Discrimination

The woman who served myself and my sister at 12 45 pm Monday May 1 refused entry into the property on no grounds, mocked me for being physically disabled with cerebral palsy and said my transgender sister and myself weren't welcome at Coral Sands Motel. I let her know I was disabled and she barked 'Yeah I can tell' at me during the refund process. She then yelled at me to get out as myself and my sister let her know that she was discriminating against us because my sister is transgender and suffers from a mental disability and I suffer from a motor neuronal disability.

I am considering further legal action against Coral Sands Motel for derogatory slurs during refused entry to the property, as this is against discrimination law.

Desired outcome: I would like Angel, I believe her name is, to be fired from this establishment as she is a liability for further income.

Coral Sands Resort Timeshare sales integrity

Where do I start? My family has visited Hilton Head a few times and rented a home in Sea Pines for a week each time. During one of our stays I was given some dolphin cruise passes from a stand at the Walmart off the island. My family reluctantly joined me the next day for a sales pitch from the Coral Sands staff. I liked the idea of coming here regularly, and if this allowed us to do so every year with a little golf and the ability to pass something on to my kids when they grow older all the better. The salesman asked us how many trips we take as a family every year. At the time that number was really just one, Spring Break. He pointed out that he could do us better than that. We could buy a package that gives us 28000 points a year. By booking our trips within 30 days of travel we would be assured of three such trips in each calender year. Well, he had my attention. We would have maint fees of about 350 per year. Sounded reasonable. When I said i could book each year well in advance of 30 days, he said that we would have to wait until that 30 day threshold. It sounded fishy and since we really only wanted to stay in actual homes while on the island I asked our salesman to take us to some of the houses they had in their network. We went to Shipyard and were able to see that only one had inhabitants for the week. My wife and i looked at each other and said that it was really nice and that we would take the chance that a place like that would be available in the yearsto come and could actually be booked 30 days out since they were vacant during spring break. Our salesman agreed. We went ahead and pulled the trigger. We were told that in about 30-45 days we would be able to sign into the RCI database and see other potential vacation spots. Needless to say this is where all of the fun starts. Upon logging in we needed help with the site. Rci reps were really nice but told us that we should book our trips much further out if we were to find anything with vacancy. ? They then informed us that our 28000 points per year were a triannual membership. In order to come back to Hilton Head we would have to accumulate three years worth of points to be able to afford anything. Also our maint fee was the 350 per year but needed to be paid at one time up front then paid every three years. ? Those homes in shipyard by the way are not to be found 30 days out. Not even available to be booked that close to arrival. It has taken us three years but we finally made it back. We were finally able to book a stay using our accumulated points on the island. We accumulated them, by the way, by paying more money each year so as not to lose them and roll them into the next year. The place we stayed in is decent. Not the size of anything we discussed or were shown during sales pitch but definitely an enjoyable stay. I read something in a review that says the place we are in has some kind of stipulation of how often you can redeem your points here. Something about a one in three or four. I guess that means more reading. Hopefully, someone will see our post as they are on the fence with this company and will make a better educated decision than I did. The city is beautiful as ever and I really just wish that something was done to demand more integrity from a company with such a presence on the island.

Coral Sands Resort Scammed and Mislead

Long story short we signed up for a timeshare that sounded like a great deal at Coral Resorts. Paid over 1000.00 down and signed contract. We got back to our room and the contract we signed was not what was presented to us after they copied the contract. BUYERS BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! We were fortunate enough to notice this before the five days was up. Spent half a day of our vacation typing letter up etc. and sending certified mail. I just want my money back. I would love to go into this place knowing what I know now and acting as an undercover agent.. I would make markings on the contract so when they switched it, I would know. So sad to see all the people that got taken that day. Lots of older couples that will probably never know until they try to book or get their MF bill.
