My bank card was compromised and a produt was ordered through corel.I noticed the amount deducted from my checking account right away.When I contacted the coril company I was told they do not keep records of credit card orders.Like WHAT! I had to drive to the bank and fill out paper work to give the bank permission to contact the corel company to let them know about the fraud.They have YET to respond to the card company or to refund my money.So I e-mail the company and of course, no reply.So I have called serveral times and get the same answer, we do not keep any records of credit card transations.Since they have no place to send the software or no e-mail address to download it to, since the party that compromised my card did-not use a valid e-mail address.Every other company that received a order had a record of the card number used and has refunded the money since it was a phoney e-mail address.So I called corel again and guess what?Same old story we do not keep and credit card records so can;t tell you what was ordered or cannot refund your money.They sure as heck had the credit card number to ding my bank account, but no record of it.So I am out the Fify bucks but I have learned a good lesson.If I ever need some software I sure as hell will NOT order from Corel.S.Anderson
I had a similar problem...their customer service is non-existent!
The phone disconnects before a human ever answers and their "live chat" does not
appear to exist either...will never buy another corel product!
Boy do I wish I'd read these before I ordered from Corel...next time I'll check a business out thoroughly.
I thought they would be a trustworthy operation.
This company uses unethical sales practices. They bombarded my email with offers to purchase Studio 18 for months. I bought it and then find that there is Studio 19. I would not have bought 18 knowing that a newer version was available.
My wife purchased thee product on line, it was downloaded into my computer for the Corel people We paid $75.oo Dollars for if and still I cannot use it, instead the keep bugging me with an up-grade. I did not receive the Software only a back-up disk/ I WAN MY MONEY RETURN!
