Disappointing Quality and Customer Service from Coyuchi Bedding
So, I recently bought some bedding from Coyuchi and I gotta say, I'm not too impressed. I got a set last year and it was all good, but when I got another set this year, things went downhill. The sheets got holes in the middle after only a year and a half! And don't even get me started on the duvet buttons - they just won't stay buttoned. I tried reaching out to the company, but they didn't even bother to respond. It's a shame, because I really liked their stuff before, but now I'm not so sure.

I gotta say, I've always been pretty happy with Coyuchi in the past. Their customer service has always been top notch, at least in my experience. But I get it, times are tough right now with the whole covid thing, so maybe that's why it took them a whole 9 days to get back to me about my email.
Anyway, I bought a pair of flannel pajama pants from them recently and I gotta give 'em a 1 star review. But when I went to check their website, my review wasn't there. Weird, right? Especially since a later 5 star review was up. When I finally heard back from customer service, they apologized for my disappointment with the pants, but said my review might have been too personal. Like, what does that even mean? Reviews are supposed to be based on personal experience, right? I didn't use any bad language, didn't give out any personal info, didn't even mention any other companies. I just talked about my own problems with the pants. And I even said that I'd been happy with Coyuchi in the past.
The problem with the pants was that they were supposed to be "organic," but they had this black elastic that smelled like petroleum distillates. And as someone who's sensitive to chemicals, that was a big no-no for me. Plus, the pants were way too long, the waist was too big, and the rise was too short. I'm wearing them right now, but only because I took out the elastic, turned them into drawstring pants, and rolled up the legs twice.
They say these pants are "new," but I wonder if they just didn't want to show a bad review. Customer service did say they'd pass my feedback on to their Product Development department, but honestly, I'm not sure I'll be shopping with Coyuchi again. I've taken myself off their catalog and email lists, and I'll be looking for somewhere else to buy my pajama pants from now on.
