I was in the process of replace a compression fitting on the valve for my toilet water tank, but was not able to remove it in fear of damaging
I was in the process of replace a compression fitting on the valve for my toilet water tank, but was not able to remove it in fear of damaging the copper tubing. I had already purchased the compression inlet valve and hose and had removed the toilet water tank for ease of repair. Cummins was call and was in our area (Villages of LaCanada) was able to stop by. They estimated the work, just to remove the fitting and replace it with the hardware I bought was $327.00. when asked if he'd install the tank for this price he said No.. My further explanation to the Repair Manager went on deft ears This job took about 15 minutes. I was expecting around $100 -$125. I felt totally ripped off.
We called Cummings Plumbing to service 2 clogged faucets in our master bath
We called Cummings Plumbing to service 2 clogged faucets in our master bath. The service tech, Brandon Buckner, came and informed us that our water softener (WE DO NOT HAVE A WATER SOFTENER WE HAVE A WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM) had failed and the resin beads had clogged our faucets. He determined that we needed 2 new faucets and gave us a quote of $1,095.90 to install the faucets that we were instructed to purchase and a separate charge of $195 to disconnect our old water softener (WE DO NOT HAVE A WATER SOFTENER). He also gave us an estimate of $7,912.36 for a new water softener. We were very skeptical because, first of all we DO NOT HAVE A WATER SOFTENER which we told him and our faucets were very expensive. We called another plumber who, within an hour, unclogged our faucets, and reconfirmed that we did not have a water softener but only a water filtration system to the tune of $180.00. I have all the receipts to prove this. We are so angry that we were almost scammed into spending approx $2000!

I have a partially clogged drain I agreed to have cleared. I chose their middle option in the $400 range. While the tech was snaking the drain he added an extension which got stuck. He told me he was going to dig the pipe up cut out a section to remove his stuck equipment. At no charge to me. A little while later the tech told me another tech (I guess) was coming with a camera. When the other tech arrive he started telling me they were going to need to dig up my front patio to remove his tool. If I didnt want him to do that I would have to pay for his tool that the managed to get stuck. I asked for an estimate which was $3500 plus the cost of fixing the tiles that had to be removed. I would not agree to this. He was supposed to send me a bid for the he did not and he forced me to pay for his stuck tool and made me sign my signature several time to a blank screen on his iPad. There was no explanation to what I was signing. No one has e-mailed me any receipts. Now I have a clogged drain with their tool stuck inside. I pAid them $812.17 fo nothing These guys as crooked as they come! I will be filing a formal complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com

I initially met with a tech at this company when I was seeking a quote for an AC unit replacement. Initially the tech was kind, very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. It wasn't until I experienced an AC crisis yesterday afternoon that I was able to experience the real workings of this company. While the tech was considerate enough to fit me on his schedule, he went to my home and informed me my need freon for my unit and indicated it was just a band-aide since I needed to replace my unit. I agreed to the freon for $750. It wasn't until I had another HVAC company come out that same day later in the evening did I find out how incredible overcharged I was. The tech was unable to tell me how many pounds of freon he put in my unit therefore how was the $750 charge exactly fair?! While the supervisor I spoke with was set on making it right and refunding half of my money, the woman Who deals with financing was incredibly rude and condescending regarding my refund. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Do your research on this place first! Take my word on that. It's unfortunate that companys such as this one take advantage of people who are in a vulnerable position due to the extreme heat as well as lack of HVAC knowledge. While the situation is unfortunate, I'm thankful it happened as I would never want to put $8k into a new AC unit with this company with that kind of service. BEWARE!

We hired Cummings Plumbing to do a repipe of our home, we also installed a tankless water heater and a water conditioning system. We hired them for the price but also the Owners Son/Vice President Jake Cummings was the one who came and gave us the quote. During the visit he also told me he would fix some drywall issues that were in my bathroom, hallway and kitchen FOR FREE! Which I thought was nice. Well fast forward to the work, the guys who did our job were very nice, but apparently they like to cut corners and do things sloppily instead of correct. I had to call them out multiple times, first time they installed the kitchen sink lines incorrectly, not a big deal but we had cold and hot water in the wrong way. Then I had to call them out multiple times because our water in the bathroom was taking almost 4 minutes to even start to get hot. This still isn't fixed completely, you have to run it for at least 3 minutes to get got water. Then when the guys came to do the drywall, one smelt like alcohol so bad it was making my entire house smell. Thank goodness the second day he didn't smell like this. When I told him of what Jake Cummings had told me of fixing the drywall in those areas he told me they wouldn't do it which they didn't. They did an alright job on the drywall not good. Then when they all left and I was having the bathroom remodeled which Cummings knew we were doing, well they had to come out to put the fittings on. They came out, put them on in the sink and not the shower, so I had to call them out again to do the job they should have done that day. They also asked me if I had the OLD O-RING for the toilet, they were going to use that instead of put in a new one. Which makes me wonder if they put in other used things when securing the toilet. Then once we got that all installed they turned the water on, well this banging started that sounded like my house was going to fall in. They didn't tie down ANY OF THE PIPES IN THE ATTIC OR IN THE WALL. THEY FIXED THE ATTIC ONES ON MULTIPLE TRIPS BUT WOULDN'T DO THE ONES IN THE WALL AS THEY WOULD HAVE TO BUST THROUGH IT AGAIN. SO THOSE STILL ARE NOT SECURE! Thank goodness we don't hear the noise anymore, but it still isn't done correctly and this is a job we paid over $17K dollars for! So if you want just nice guys coming to your house I would say yes hire them. But if you're wanting your job done completely correct, I would say not! I worry and wonder if everything else is installed ok and will not give me issues. Oh just FYI yes we had an inspection, however they are doing them via cellphone video. So very easy for them to get away with things like this.
A worker came out to repair the water line and immediately started digging near our front door
A worker came out to repair the water line and immediately started digging near our front door. He hit the gas line, it caused a massive explosion (shook the house) and started a fire! All of our utilities were in the trench and were completely destroyed. We, our two small kids (both sick), and our dog were evacuated for 5 hours while fire and utility crews worked on the scene. We ended up being displaced from our home and lived in a hotel for 3 days! The worker failed to notify Blue Stake and was later investigated and fined for breaking the law, the Blue Stake Law. Cummings did absolutely nothing to assist us or support us. Absolutely nothing! Supervisor *** had the audacity to say Cummings was not at fault and to file a claim with our homeowner's insurance for the extensive damage and the costs of being displaced. I called *** in the office to see how this was going to be handled. She said she would get back to me. I asked to speak to owner *** and she refused. I NEVER heard again from ***. Their answer was to ignore us and not charge us for the final repair. We ate the costs ($1400) of being displaced. They showed no remorse for displacing us, causing us to lose time at work and school, causing us to scramble for housing and basic necessities, causing us fear that our house was going to be destroyed, and causing us true anguish. This company is beyond despicable! They have the nerve to place on their website "caring about people is our number one priority". Shame on you Cummings! Disgusting!

On May 12 we called Cummings Plumbing due to a water leak under our mobile home
On May 12 we called Cummings Plumbing due to a water leak under our mobile home. The tech quoted us a price of $910. We thought it must be a major leak to cost that much. We ok'd him to do the job as we had had this company out once before and found them to be fair. He was done in 1 1/2 hours! I asked him if they would be mailing us a receipt and he said yes. On May 15th I called and asked them about an itemized receipt and was told they don't itemize. They did at one time but no longer. I asked to speak with someone about the amount we were charged and the representative said the tech was off and he didn't know anything about the job but would get back to us, Finally after threatening to call the ROC and ComplaintsBoard.com, the representative called back. After arguing back and forth he offered a $200 refund then $300. We accepted the $300 as a start. Today is May 31st and we have yet to see any type of invoice or receipt. The tech said the $910 even included a senior citizen discount!
My wife (name redacted) called up Cummings Plumbing on Monday, August 30, to see if they would come to San Manuel to look at our sewer
My wife (name redacted) called up Cummings Plumbing on Monday, August 30, to see if they would come to San Manuel to look at our sewer pipes and to give us an estimate on doing a Permaliner for our sewer pipes if it was needed. The receptionist said there would be a $225 fee for coming to San Manuel and set up an appointment for the next day, Tuesday, August 31. On Tuesday, August 31, two technicians showed up. The technicians did not look at our sewer pipes. The technicians told us it would be an additional $250 if we wanted that done. If we had known it would cost us $475 total to have our sewer line inspected, we would have never hired them. It was a bait and switch. The technician told us the $225 was for an estimate only. How can a proper estimate be made without looking at the sewer pipes to see if there is even a problem? In the end, we were charged $225 for no services rendered. We did not get the sewer pipe inspection we asked for, and we did not get a written estimate that they said the $225 was for.

Very professional and pleasant *** staff and gentlemen helping Mr *** were also helpful Liked how they kept me in the know Liked the Picture id and name of Mr
Had great service from *** repairing/replace shower faucets. Very professional.
I informed the office I would like a free estimate for ***. When he arrived, the plumber said a $350 fee is required for a camera inspection and that all companies charge a fee for that service. It is untrue---Ram Plumbing and All-In Plumbing arrived earlier, conducted the camera inspection and no fee was charged! The visiting plumber also went over what was viewed and explained the options I had. It took close to two hours and it ended with an estimate. Again, no payment for this service!
