Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority [CMHA] Familial status, rent ledgers, safety issues, maintenance issues, criminals and addicts, bed bugs, filth

The LAC chased my granddaughter and her friends down because they were outside waiting for me. Harassing them, badgering and asking questions. Then our toilet was backed up for over 15 hours with no maintenance response. Mind you we have one toilet. The elevator was broken down 2 days. The disabled that can't walk, some were trapped in their apts, others slept in the main lobby two days they couldn't get into their apts. Or to their meds and a bathroom. There's no open public restroom. The Mgr at the time was on vacation and out of the Country nobody did anything. There's been rapes, and addicts in the bldg. The lights are all out on the property. A lady was drinking today outside threatening an elder lady we went to the office they told us to come back tomorrow. There was another tenant in sighting the young girl to harass the 69 yr old elder we called the police they called CMHA police they did nothing. Said they can't do anything about the threats or slander. They don't follow up on Maintenance after hour emergencies. They're slum lords. They have felons living here, crackheads, bed bugs, roaches. I'm going to the Mayor and my attorney and he can go straight to Terry Billups. We called Mrs C., Mr. Patterson, and now HUD and the media this bldg needs shut down or sold they're violating so many Fair Housing Laws and nothing is getting done. They're screwing up people's rents, discriminating people on the wait-list, letting others jump the list and putting people off.

Desired outcome: Do your jobs!

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority [CMHA] Rent adjustments

I had stopped working in September 2022, and I reported the matter to numerous people(management) at Riverview Towers since late October 2022 (I paid October 2022 rent). I'm always told It will get done in a week or so (since late October 2022) I continue to TRY an catch ( an I really mean catch) someone, anyone who can help me. The management in office is always hard to connect with personally and everyone WILL NOT answer their phones. I am still being charged, please help. And it looks like they actually went up on my rent in December 2022

Desired outcome: I would like for someone to honor my request, to help me with the rent adjustment, that I have been trying to have done since late October 2022.

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority [CMHA] My neighbor and lack of attention from my manager. Mr. John

For over a year I have made SEVERAL complaints about my neighbor blasting the same song in the wee hrs of the nights! Myself and other neighbors have made complaints. Mr. Johnson and Ms. Payne has done nothing about this situation not even offered mediation. Not to mention the situation gets worse day by day. Tonight alone the police has been called 2xs . It’s 5 in the morning and she hasn’t turned it off 2 days. I have made over 40 police reports and CMHA has done nothing to resolve this issue.

Desired outcome: Mediation or removal. Like I stated it’s been going on for over a year and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Nor have they even tried to talk to this lady and ask her to respect other tenants

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority [CMHA] ms. houston outhwaite homes

Very rude and aggressive treats tenants as of they are small bad children. Ignores the serious problems such as shootings of children and other adults in public during the day. The day I came to pay my rent she tried to bombard me into signing papers because they missed there deadline and I got no notices because my mailbox was destroyed by the neighborhood children. Ms houston presented herself as of she was of hierarchy and can put me out any day she wants. She is very rude and unprofessional. Any time I visit the cmha office I avoid her because she speaks to people as if they have no education. All in all the lady shouldn't be dealing with face to face tenants if she is going to be rude to people in tough situations.

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority [CMHA] loud music being played all day

To whom it may concern, I am a resident on E. 71st. I live behind the CMHA apartments. There is loud music being played all day and night for everyone that lives in the area to hear. I work 2 jobs, attend college and I suffer from chronic migraines. I can't sleep or concentrate on school due to the extremely loud music. This music is constantly played everyday all day and night, it's really annoying. I would greatly appreciate it if you can notify your tenants about playing their music at a decent level only for them to hear not the whole block. This loud music is effecting my sleep and my studies. Thank you for your effort.
